July Birthday Reminders

Clan Wars start July 3 at 00:01 — if you would like to join a clan for the first time or want to find a new clan you can use our Clan Randomizer button but it is only available from 00:01 July 1 through 23:59 July 2 so act fast!

The Global Goblet 😉 football tournament continues through the first half of the month. Our original favorite team, Germany, has already been eliminated. While our developer Daniel is sad, he’s happy to go ahead and program some other options to support our worldwide team. Guilherme is based in Portugal and we have Louise and Andy based in England. Rather than choosing one team, like we unwisely did the first time, we’ve chosen to support both. If both teams continue to advance the results will be cumulative on the given days.

Freeze Tag HQ Birthday Event July 21 and New Emerald Garden!

Munzeers of the world,

Step right up and join the first official Munzee Birthday party supported at, near, and around Freeze Tag HeadQuarters in sunny Southern California. If you are able to join us in person we have quite a treat for you! Be sure to log your “Will Attend” on the calendar so we can be prepared for the crowds! We have several great things in store for you, and more still in the works!

If you aren’t able to join us in Irvine Regional Park it’s OK because we have opportunities for you as well. First we’ve created a spreadsheet to help build a virtual garden on site! If you have any spare MVM in your undeployed list please join us! If you have other types of virtuals and want to accumulate some cap on points, or just give players something more to cap, you can deploy nearby as well!

And finally, we want there to be plenty of opportunities for points so we’d like to welcome you to purchase an emerald in the brand new FTHQ emerald garden. Be sure to choose FTHQ Emerald in the drop down option! There is a limited quantity of these emeralds (one per account) and the office is less than 10 miles from the birthday event location. While there currently aren’t tours of the FTHQ office it is growing in popularity for deploys and you never know what the future holds!

We hope you choose to join us in person, or in virtual participation as we celebrate Munzee’s birthday for the first time at FTHQ!

New Personal Tags and More!

It’s Father’s Day weekend in some parts of the world (including the US), and we’re kicking it off with some new Munzee store items any Dad would be happy to receive!

First off, we’re excited to announce that we’ve added new Personal Tags to the Online Store! While supplies last you can purchase two new Personal Tag designs, one featuring Places Munzee icons and another featuring a Father’s Day design, similar to the Mother’s Day tags we released last month.

This is a great time to get them on the map since they will be active ALL MONTH LONG in JULY!

Under The Big Top- TX Birthday Bash Event

Come one come all for the Cirque Du Munz! Join our Texas offices next month for our Under The Big Top birthday celebration in North Texas.

On Saturday July 14th, 2018 at 10 AM the MHQ Staff will celebrate seven silly years at Celebration Park in Allen, TX. This park is a former MHQ Bash location and has continued to be a hotspot of Munzee activity so come ready to cap! When the flats are out this field is really covered!

The event will feature an awesome badge (featured below), some event goodies, circus themed snacks and more! You can also bet there might be some exclusive personals for sale.

Like a good sibling, WallaBee will also be supporting Munzee’s big birthday with a Unique and some spectacular Circus Set stickers! Be sure to bring your passport books. The Unique will be available worldwide, but a special variant will be available to those in attendance.

Cirque Du Munz Birthday Events!

Come one, come all, for Zee Greatest Show on Earth! Welcome to Cirque Du Munz!

For Munzee’s seventh birthday we’ve decided to run off to the circus! Come join us under the big top for the entire month of July. We’ll have specials, spectacles, and surprises of all sorts. New Online Store!

We’re moving!

When we merged with Freeze Tag, we planned out steps that would make our new company more cohesive. One of those steps was to consolidate all of our products into one store. Today, we are taking that step and introducing the new Freeze Tag Online Store!

Products from all of the Freeze Tag apps are now located in one central location. All of your favorite Munzee products will now be available in this new store under their own collection.

The Freeze Tag Online Store is live NOW, and the current Munzee Online Store has been redirected to the new store.

Freeze Tag Merger with Munzee is Complete

The day has arrived. After months of hard work, long conversations, and a successful joint venture, Munzee Inc. has been merged into Freeze Tag Inc. This is a great thing for Munzee players worldwide as we move forward as one company, stronger together. There will be no changes to the game, other than great things in store for the future with additional resources and personnel.

Since Munzee Inc. is no more, I am now President of Freeze Tag Inc. with specific oversight on all products. These include Munzee, WallaBee, Eventzee, Garfield Go, and the rest of the FT suite of apps. We really look forward to a bright future with some great ideas on the horizon. As usual I have to play the part of Captain Vague, especially now that we are part of a public company. Please know I not only appreciate all of our player communities, but we all know this is only possible because of you playing our games and growing them with us.

I look forward to visiting with many of you at upcoming events and continuing to grow our games together. Thank you for your support, especially in the current diabetes charity special. As always, Munzee On!

Munzee Newsletter: August 2017 Wrap-Up

Although August usually tends to be a cool down after July’s big birthday month, this year we kept very busy! We gave our players a hand, flew high in the sky and even started treasure hunting. Take a look back on some of the things that happened last month and what to expect this month as well!

A HUGE thank you is in order to all of our players worldwide! Our community pulled together to help out after the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey in South Texas. Through the sale of Water Mysteries and Assorted Mini Packs, as well as WallaBee Mixers, we gathered $7,500 in donations for relief efforts.

We can’t express how proud we are to have such a great community that rallies around those in need. Thank you, again, for your support and generosity.

Leftie Loosy

To celebrate International Left Handers Day and all of our left-handed players, we released a fun special at the beginning of the month! The Leftie Specials bounced all over the globe and to recognize the 10% of the population that is left handed these specials also had a 10% chance of scattering a Left Handed Thumbs Up icon.

The Thumbs Up were pretty rare to come by, but Munzee Magnets helped out!

High Flyers

This month the majestic Pegasus Mythological Munzee took to the skies. Although other Myths like the Faun and Hydra land on Greenies and specific physical Elemental Munzees, the Pegasus is a different kind of beast. The Pegasus bounces on all colors of Virtual Munzees, Mystery Virtual Munzees, and MVMs as well as Air Mystery Munzees.

Treasure Tropes

Avast, me hearties! This month we announced the new Treasure Evolution Munzee as a Munzee reseller exclusive! Our resellers are great at promoting and being ambassadors for Munzee and its community so thank you to them for helping us grow the game! Munzee Newsletter: July 2017 Wrap-Up

Birthday month has come and gone and with the help of our players we celebrated six years in a very big way! Take a look back on some of the things that happened last month and what to expect this month as well!

We ended Birthday Month with some HUGE news: Munzee and our partner Freeze Tag Inc. are merging companies! For the last year, Munzee and Freeze Tag have been working together in various ways on Garfield GO! and as the saying goes “two heads are better than one.” The leadership team at Freeze Tag are top notch guys with vast experience in building apps and bringing in new players.

We are excited to see their team join the Munzee family and help us all Grow the Game(s)!

Birthday BAM!

To celebrate 6 spectacular years, we released Comic Book special icons for the entire month. When captured the specials scattered three onomatopoeia icons- BAM!, POW! and BANG! Players who managed to capture all 3 were able to earn a special comic book panel badge too!

These alongside the Munzee Magnets were an awesome way to kick off Birthday Month!

Extraordinary Events

Birthday Events were a huge hit last month! There were 110 events that took place throughout July and the 6th Birthday Super Rob special was capped an amazing 4,673 times! We also reached new highs with the events in Germany being the first to hit over 250 attendees, something we haven’t even done at MHQ! Thank you to all of our awesome Event Hosts!

A Breath of Fresh Air

At the tailend of Birthday Month we were proud to announce the creation of the Air Mystery Munzee! This virtual Elemental Munzee is the first of it’s kind and is currently exclusive to Virtual MunzPak subscribers in August. When capped, the Air Mystery Munzee scatters three temporary virtual Feathers. When those feathers are captured, they have a chance of throwing three ultra rare temporary virtual Golden Feathers.
