Throughout the 8-Bit Arcade Event, interacting with select Gaming types can uncover special Glitched scatters — and there are 8 different arcade challenges waiting for you to clear!
Track down the hidden glitch in each game to earn exclusive badges, and you may even decode some brand-new Build-A-Pop Bits along the way! 🕹️ How To Play
The 8-Bit Arcade may be glitching out, but joining the game is simple! There are 8 different Glitch challenges to find, each inspired by a different game. Some Glitches can be uncovered directly from Gaming types, while others may be hiding among the familiar game pieces they scatter.
- Capture or deploy eligible Gaming Munzees
- Refresh the map to check for special Glitches scattered nearby
- Capture Glitches to earn badges, plus unlock NEW Build-A-Pop Bits!
👾 Find The Glitch!
The arcade code has been corrupted, and familiar game pieces are starting to glitch out! During the event, certain Gaming types — or the scatters they create — have a chance to reveal a special Glitched variant.
There are 8 arcade challenges to complete in total. Keep playing if a Glitch doesn’t appear right away — sometimes the system takes a few rounds before the corruption breaks through! Each Glitched scatter can be captured by any eligible player who finds it, so keep an eye on the map when the arcade starts acting strangely!

Can’t track down every Glitch before the event ends? Don’t fret! These Glitched scatters, challenge badges, and individual Glitch badges are permanent additions to the game, so they can still be discovered in the future. However, once the 8-Bit Arcade Event ends, the chances of uncovering them will be significantly reduced, making these Glitches much rarer to find.

There’s more hiding inside the corrupted code than badges! Each of the 8 arcade challenges also unlocks a special Build-A-Pop Bit or Bit Pack inspired by classic gaming.
Don’t own a Build-A-Pop yet? No problem! You can still complete the challenges and unlock the Bits now. They’ll be waiting in your collection whenever you’re ready to deploy and customize a Build-A-Pop Bouncer of your own. If you have already popped off, you can start mixing and matching your new arcade-inspired Bits to show off just how deep into the Glitch you’ve gone!
🏆 Level Up Your Glitch Hunt!
You don’t have to clear every individual game to start earning rewards. Every Glitched scatter you capture also counts toward three overall arcade milestone badges:
- Level 1: Glitch Detected — Capture 1 Glitched Scatter of any type.
- Level 2: Glitch Hunter — Capture 8 Glitched Scatters of any type.
- Level 3: Glitch Master — Capture 25 Glitched Scatters of any type.
Duplicates count, so even after you’ve uncovered a particular Glitch, there are still plenty of reasons to keep playing and chase that next high score! If you want to earn the bragging rights for securing these badges, they’re exclusive to this limited-time event ONLY and won’t return again in the future. So be sure to complete all 3 levels this month!
⚡ BONUS POWER-UP: Gaming Scatters On Quick Deploy!
We’re giving Gaming Munzees an extra power-up for the duration of the 8-Bit Arcade Event! Gaming types that normally scatter when captured will temporarily scatter when deployed as well! That means fresh deployments can help create even more game pieces for you and nearby players to capture while you’re hunting for Glitches!

Placement Tip: Some Gaming types, such as Joysticks and the OG Scatter Munzee, require nearby Greenies or other eligible Munzees for scatters to land on. Before deploying, check the surrounding map and make sure there are enough available landing spots nearby. If the area is packed or there aren’t enough eligible hosts, your game pieces may have nowhere to go! Be sure to deploy more Greenies nearby for them to land on, or find another area with more deploys. Need a refresher on how these work? Check out our Help Guide!
Here’s the important part: The scatter location is determined when and where you FIRST open the Quick Deploy menu. Choose your starting location carefully! Once you open Quick Deploy, that’s where the bonus scatters will be sent. As with previous Scatter On Deploy specials, only fresh in-app deploys are eligible.
