πŸŒ·πŸ… Unlock A Badge For Your Favorite Garden!

Our latest Bouncing Virtual Gardens brought a fresh crop of fun to the map, and now we are extending one of those exciting new features to player-built gardens! Players now have the opportunity to purchase Garden Completion Badges for eligible gardens!

These blooming new features are available through our companion app, CuppaZee, so read on to learn how you can help unlock a badge for the whole community!

NEW Garden Completion Badges!

Capturing an entire garden is no small feat! Whether it is a local landmark, a massive pixel masterpiece, or a hidden gem you stumbled across on your travels, finishing every pin in a garden is something worth celebrating. Of course, once you have captured all those pins, the original garden image may be a little harder to admire on the map. After all, it is now covered in those satisfying red capture checkmarks! With Garden Completion Badges, players can preserve that achievement with a special badge that shows off the garden they completed.

These badges are a fun new way to remember your favorite garden adventures, revisit past accomplishments, and celebrate the creative work that went into building these gardens in the first place!

Sponsor A Garden Badge For Everyone!

We know garden owners and designers already put a ton of time, effort, creativity, and deploys into bringing these gardens to life. Instead of limiting this feature to only garden creators, we are opening it up for the community!

Any player can become a Garden Badge Sponsor by purchasing a badge upgrade for an eligible garden. Once a Garden Completion Badge has been sponsored, everyone who has already captured all of the pins in that garden will receive the badge after it has been processed. And players who complete the garden in the future will be able to earn the badge too!

That means one sponsor can unlock a badge for the whole community, including past, present, and future garden cappers alike! And as a special thank you, the sponsoring player’s name will also be displayed with the badge for others to see. It is a fun way to leave your mark on a garden you love while helping other players celebrate their completions too!

How It Works?

Ready to sponsor a Garden Completion Badge? Here is how to get growing:

  1. Visit CuppaZee and browse the list of gardens!
  2. Click on a garden and scroll down to look for the option to purchase a Garden Completion Badge.
    • NOTE: Eligible gardens will display a purchase button. If a garden is not eligible, CuppaZee will show the requirements that still need to be met.
  3. Purchase the badge upgrade for 750 Zeds.
  4. Customize the badge border color,Β map background style andΒ pin size.

After some processing time, the badge will be created and awarded to players who have already captured all of the garden pins! If you have captured all the pins in a garden that has recently had a badge purchased and still do not see the badge, please check back again later. The badge will also be available for all future players moving forward who capture the garden.

Please note that gardens must follow similar rules to GOTM for garden size and completion in order to be eligible for a Garden Completion Badge. Need a refresher on those requirements? Check out our Help Guide here.

Add A Personal Touch!

Garden Badge Sponsors will also get to add a small bit of customization to the badge they purchase. Nothing that changes the core garden design, but enough to make the badge feel a little extra special! Sponsors can customize the following details:

  • Badge border color
  • Map background style
  • Munzee pin size

Garden owners will also have the ability to customize the badge if needed, helping make sure the final design still feels true to the original garden.

Help More Gardens Bloom!

Is there a garden you loved capturing? A local favorite you want to help celebrate? A massive masterpiece you finally finished and want to remember forever?

Now is your chance to sponsor a Garden Completion Badge and unlock that achievement for everyone who has conquered the garden! Head over to CuppaZee to browse eligible gardens and see which ones are ready to bloom with a badge. Our current GOTM theme is also still growing strong, so keep building, deploying, and capturing those creative garden designs! We cannot wait to see which gardens earn their badges first.

Happy gardening, Munzee friends! 🌼 Munzee on!

πŸͺ° RUM Dragonfly in Johnstown, Pa. designed by grubsneerg in Richland, PA, US
The metallic sheen of the Virtual RUMs is quite effective in replicating the gossamer wings and reflective body of a real dragonfly! The extra touches, such as the outline of Onyxes around the wings, and the strategically placed Citrines, Flat RUMs, Night Vision Goggles, Peas, and Shamrocks add some dimension that really brings this garden to life! Lastly, we love that the Virtual Garden POI was incorporated as the end of its tail!

🌻 Sundridge Sunflower designed by CapJaxCrew in Parry Sound, Ontario, CA
Looks like this sunflower has a solar panel installed! With the ring of Electric Mysteries around the center, there are many Virtuals nearby where the Charge scatters are sure to land! The checkerboard pattern of Crossbows and Virtual Chestnuts give off a similar effect to the many florets that give the sunflower its characteristic look. An impressive collection of Virtual Masters of Disguise form the stem and leaves.

πŸ” January 2026 GOTM Winners πŸ“š

This month, the theme was “New Beginnings“, and your garden designs to represent the new year were so creative, it was difficult for us to choose!

Don’t forget β€” the CuppaZee Gardens Tool is your go-to resource for dreaming up your own designs or finding the perfect spot to deploy! Whether you’re going for grandeur or keeping it light, it’s the best place to start your garden adventure.

Without further ado, let’s jump right in to celebrate the winners for January:

πŸ” WhoDuckIt Mag Glass designed by Nezzmuk in Logan, UT, US
The new year is certainly a mystery to us all — but perhaps garden designer Nezzmuk plans to spend it by putting their crime-solving skills to the test! Of course, we always love it when a newer Munzee type, such as the WhoDuckIt, is incorporated into a garden — but even if this garden didn’t include them, it would still be eye-catching as the multiple shades of gray-colored Virtuals and the multiple Flats mirroring them create depth.

πŸ“šAntagonist Cafe and Pieces Game Bar β™ŸοΈ designed by nyisutter in St. Louis, MO, US
Of all the gardens, we felt that this one fit the theme the best! Garden designer nyisutter took the time to write up their thought process on designing this garden in the description on CuppaZee, so click its name above to check it out! We loved learning the reasons behind the Munzee types they chose to use, and also more about their wishes for the new year. We hope all of those wishes are granted! πŸ™

Without further ado, let’s jump right in to celebrate the winners for December:

πŸŽ… Christmazee designed by geomatrix in Glencoe, MN, US
This beautiful snowglobe features clever usage of a variety of munzee types, such as a Christmas tree made from Night Vision goggles — the dark green color still reads “tree”, but the black goggles give it some dimension — plus, the little red light on the right side of each looks like tiny round ornaments! We also love the Flat Cats, Surprises, and Master of Disguises as the presents under the tree!

πŸ”” Festive Holly, Berries, and Bells designed by loeschfamily in Apple Valley, MN, US
To outline, or not to outline — that is the question. There’s no denying that a black outline really helps your garden pop on the map — as this one did when it caught our eye! Perhaps the secret is that black outlines look best on gardens with darker jewel-tone colors, like the Virtual Greens and Virtual Reds used here, so that they don’t clash.

This month, the theme was “World of Wonders“, and your garden designs really took us on a trip to wonders natural and man-made!

πŸ—Ό Eiffel Tower designed by Dad35 in Hamburg, Hamburg, DE
Perhaps one of the most well-known man-made wonders in the world — it needs no further introduction! It has a very sleek and simple design, but Dad35 used Gray, Silver, and White Virtuals to illustrate the details and keep the design from being too one-note!

🏞️ Rocky Mountain National Park designed by Cruiser5 in Larimer, CO, US
This garden is deployed very close to the wonder it’s depicting — located in Estes, CO, it boasts stunning nature-made views! Cruiser5 perfectly captured the mountain range in multiple shades of Blue, Purple, Green, Yellow, and White Virtuals, with some Jellyfish, Peas, and Eggs Evos to get even more color variation!

πŸŽƒ October 2025 GOTM Winners πŸͺ¦

This month, the theme was “Haunted Haunts” — we were certainly spoiled for choice when looking at all the creepy-cool designs you’ve created!

Don’t forget β€” the CuppaZee Gardens Tool is your go-to resource for dreaming up your own designs or finding the perfect spot to deploy! Whether you’re going for grandeur or keeping it light, it’s the best place to start your garden adventure.

Without further ado, let’s jump right in to celebrate the winners for October:

πŸŽƒ Jack-o’-lantern Garden designed by Sevans and LiamCEvans in Broomfield, CO, US
Did you know this garden was designed by a father and son team? In addition, the impressive size of this garden was YEARS in the making at OVER 1,000 pins! We had featured it before in 2019, but as it wasn’t complete at the time, it could not win GOTM. We’re happy to see that the garden continued to grow and reap its reward today! While larger gardens understandably take a longer time to fill, we hope that doesn’t discourage those of you who enjoy designing them — more pins means the potential for more detail!

πŸͺ¦ At night in the cemetery… designed by microx in Dresden, Saxony, DE
This design definitely stood out — or should we say, rose out (from the grave)! The wooden cross appears 3D thanks to the use of Virtual Browns strategically placed along the sides of the main Clan Weapon face. We also love the detail of the Naudiz Norse Zodiacs, with their deeper gray color, as the nails of the undead hand! Lastly, the freshly turned soil is made much more interesting with a HUGE assortment of munzee types — definitely a treasure trove unearthed for the players who are lucky enough to visit!

πŸ¦β€β¬› September 2025 GOTM Winners 🌽

Earlier this month, we shared the upcoming GOTM Themes for 2026! For your convenience, we’ve updated the list at the bottom to include the new themes as well. This month, the theme was “Share the Harvest” — we certainly had a great crop of gardens to choose from featuring fall foods!

Don’t forget β€” the CuppaZee Gardens Tool is your go-to resource for dreaming up your own designs or finding the perfect spot to deploy! Whether you’re going for grandeur or keeping it light, it’s the best place to start your garden adventure.

Without further ado, let’s jump right in to celebrate the winners for September:

πŸ¦β€β¬› Scarecrow πŸ¦β€β¬› designed by Dad35 in Hamburg, Hamburg, DE
Gardens that have an assortment of munzee types are always fun, and can be a helpful teaching tool for new players — they can see how each type behaves upon capture. This garden is a good size for players to hand-cap — and it’s such a fun detail that the rows of Pumpkins and Spaghetti that the scarecrow is guarding is part of its own body!

🌽 Corny fun designed by Cruiser5 in Cokato, MN, US
In contrast, we also love gardens that make use of just one type of munzee — of course, Virtual Colors tend to be a popular choice due to the range of colors available. We love how this ear of corn makes use of multiple yellow and green shades to give the garden more dimension and make it more interesting to look at!
