✂️ Flat Birthday Celebration! 🥳

This March, instead of featuring just one Flat Friend or Flat Object, we wanted to start a new birthday tradition! If you were concerned about meeting certain March Clan Wars Requirements, this should come in handy!

From NOW through March 22nd, Flat Rob, Flat Flashlight, Flat Fountain Pen, and Flat Disc Golf Basket will be scattering Birthday Hats when captured. Will you be able to collect them all?

Limited Time Scatter Details

From the period of Monday, March 10th at 12:00 MHQ through Sunday, March 22nd at 23:59 MHQ, when you capture a Flat Rob, Flat Flashlight, Flat Fountain Pen, or Flat Disc Golf Basket, up to 3 Birthday Hats may be scattered nearby!

As with other Flat Scatters, the Hats will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Flat owner’s account. This means that unlike Feathers / Boulders, there are CapOn points for the owner! They expire after 120 minutes, have a capture radius of 300 feet, and you’ll be able to use Rover Treats to capture them as well! These scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

The rewards for Hats are as follows:

  • Capture: 50 points
  • CapOn: 25 points

In addition, these birthday hat scatters will also return annually on each staff member’s birthday, much like the Earth Day Tree Scatters. For reference, the dates are:

  • 🧢 Rob’s Birthday Hat – will return every March 10th
  • 🔦 Tamara’s Birthday Hat – will return every March 13th
  • 🖋️ Andy’s Birthday Hat – will return every March 14th
  • 🥏 Robbie’s Birthday Hat – will return every March 20th

How the Fluffy Fortune Mailbox Works

Starting Tuesday, March 17th, 2026 at 00:01 MHQ, each day you cap your Fluffy Fortune Mailbox you will be awarded a different themed Greeting Card capture, similar to the other mailboxes. Please note that you’ll only be able to earn that specific card on that day, so you really don’t want to miss a day. Once you cap that card you’ll earn points, and you may also get some extra prizes! The Fluffy Fortune Mailbox is available for $20 and includes the following:

  • 1 Fluffy Fortune Mailbox Munzee to deploy and move around anywhere at anytime!
  • 1 Daily Capture of the mailbox each MHQ day starting on March 6th or when first deployed, which should help with keeping up your streaks!
  • 20 Mailbox Prize Days starting on March 17th and ending on April 5th, which will deliver the goodies below when captured, including Cards, Zeds, Munzees to deploy and more!

NEW Widdl Waddler Details

Like the Widdl Frostbite, the Widdl Waddler is no ordinary Widdl — it’s already maxed out at Level 10, so you’ll be raking in those high-tier points right from the start! Plus, you can redeploy the Widdl Waddler directly from a Wishing Well for just 25 Stars, just like your other Level 10 Widdlz. As a reminder, this is a temporary POB that will remain on the map for 5 days.

Landing Pads

This Widdl can be spotted on the landing pads listed above every 1 hour or when captured.

This Widdl will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture this Widdl on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Widdl visits you. This Widdl is non-blastable. It will be attracted to both Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access this Widdl by turning on your “All Expiring Specials” filter.

Well Wisp Scatter Bonus

When this Widdl is captured, it will scatter a Well Wisp nearby to start a trail. These are the same Well Wisps from the Daily Stroll, which will be deployed on the Wishmaster account.

The excitement is building as Munzee Madness returns, and this year in Huntington Beach, California this weekend! Players from around the world are gathering in sunny Southern California to celebrate 15 years of Munzee Madness, and we can’t wait to see the map light up with captures.

Deploying from the Munzee App

You can also easily deploy near the events directly from the Munzee app.

  1. Open the Menu in the Munzee app

  2. Tap Munzee Events

  3. Sort events by Soonest

  4. Look for events titled “Munzee Madness”

  5. Tap into the event details

  6. Tap Deploy Near Event to jump to the event location

Once you’re viewing the event location on the map, tap and hold the QR button at the bottom of the screen to open the Quick Deploy menu, then choose a virtual to deploy!

Advanced Gameplay Tip: CapOn Boosters!!

Want to maximize the CapOn points you earn during the events? Consider grabbing a CapOn Booster and activating it near the start of the event! These boosters double the CapOn points you earn for 90 minutes. You can activate one right before the event begins, or wait until you start seeing captures roll in from players at the event and then activate it to maximize the boosted points.

As if Munzee Madness wasn’t exciting enough, this weekend also features a Double Points event! From Friday, March 6th at 00:01 MHQ through Sunday, March 8th at 23:59 MHQ, players will earn double points on Greenies, Cards, Flats, Virtual Colors, and Gaming Munzees. If you’re planning to deploy items that qualify for double deploy points, you may want to wait until the event begins to maximize your rewards!

Foolish PakRat Details

The Foolish PakRat is the fourteenth PakRat, a NEW line of tPOBs which have the unique feature of requiring Twigz to rebuild, and earn Cogs for the owner upon archival. Think of them as the link between Widdlz and Mechz! Each month will see the release of a new PakRat launching exclusively through the MunzPak this year.

They will remain on the map until they have been captured 10 times. When you purchase a MunzPak, you will receive a fully-built Foolish PakRat that auto-deploys. For now, the Foolish PakRat will be available in this month’s MunzPak only — meaning the deadline to get one is 23:59 MHQ on Tuesday, March 31st.
