Here are the requirements for July Clan Wars!

Level 1:
Each player capture at least one munzee on 7 days (no need to be consecutive)
Total Individual Points: 5000
Total Clan Points: 100,000
Rewards: 1 Virtual Crossbow, 1 MVM, 1 Virtual Color, 2 Temporary Virtual

Level 2:
Each player capture at least one munzee on 10 days (no need to be consecutive)
Each player deploy at least one munzee on 7 days (no need to be consecutive)
Total Individual Points: 12,000
Total Clan Points: 225,000
Rewards: 1 Virtual Crossbow, 2 MVM, 2 Virtual Color, 2 Catapult

Level 3:
Each player capture at least one munzee on 14 days (no need to be consecutive)
Each player deploy at least one munzee on 14 days (no need to be consecutive)
Total Clan Weapon Deploys: 100
Total Individual Points: 30,000
Total Clan Points: 450,000
Rewards: 2 Virtual Crossbow, 2 MVM, 2 Virtual Color, 2 Catapult, 3 Amethyst

Level 4:
Each player capture at least one munzee on 21 days (no need to be consecutive)
Each player deploy at least one munzee on 21 days (no need to be consecutive)
Total Clan Weapon Deploys: 175
Total Clan Jewel Deploys: 100
Total Individual Points: 50,000
Total Clan Points: 700,000
Rewards: 3 Virtual Crossbow, 3 MVM, 3 Virtual Color, 3 Catapult, 3 Amethyst, 2 Surprise, 2 Sapphire, 2 Flat Rob

Level 5:
Each player capture at least one munzee on 28 days (no need to be consecutive)

It is our birthday month so (in our opinion) we are giving some pretty sweet rewards this month! Don’t expect them to be this high every month! 😉 We hope it encourages you to go for the highest levels!

Go Under The Sea With The Mermaid Mythological Munzee!

SURPRISE! The Vesi did a great job of helping us beat the sweltering summer heat, but we need just a little more aquatic assistance from our finned friend the Mermaid Mythological Munzee!

Unlike previous Myth releases, things work a little bit different with this maiden of the sea. A very limited number of Mermaids are available NOW in the Freeze Tag Online Store. We mean VERY limited, so you might want to go buy one before reading the rest of this blog…

Well good thing we’ll be releasing more throughout the day! Check out the store at 10:00, 15:00 and 17:00 MHQ for additional waves of Mermaids to be released. Mermaid Mythological Munzees are $25.00 each and each player is limited to one (1) Mermaid Munzee per account. The sale is open to anyone regardless of other Mythological ownership.

So you might be wondering- why the price increase? Well Mermaids have certain powers that other Myths (currently) don’t, making them much more valuable.

As the owner of a Mermaid Munzee you’ll have the ability to “nudge” the creature to a new munzee up to three times a day (MHQ 24 hour day). So say your Mermaid decides to swim to a munzee lost in the Bermuda Triangle? Just give her a nudge and she’ll bounce somewhere else in the world. The ability to nudge is only available for the owner via the webpage for the Mermaid, not available in app. The owner can “nudge” the Mermaid to have it bounce to another munzee ONLY in the first 6 hours at it’s current location.

The Mermaid also has a lot more character than your average Myth, so you’ll be able to rename your Mermaids to whatever you want! The name will still retain the unique number, but feel free to get creative and customize these gilled gals. Please keep in mind our player code of conduct and family friendly environment! 🙂

Like the Hydra, Mermaids are attracted to Greenies and Water Mystery Munzees, as well as physical Jewel Munzees.

The Mermaid will bounce on the following every 12 hours or when capped:

  • Greenies
  • Water Mystery Munzee
  • Diamond
  • Ruby
  • Pink Diamond
  • Topaz
  • Aquamarine

Mermaid Munzees will also be attracted to Magnets, which you can attach to Greenies to increase your odds of finding myths and specials.

Much like the release of Vesi, the Mermaid Munzee signals an increase for all other physical Mythological Munzee points. The Unicorn, Leprechaun, Yeti, Dragon, Faun, Hydra and Cyclops will all be worth 200 points when you cap them! Please note that these point changes are not retroactive, but the new points are currently in effect.

You’ll notice we are not updating the Pegasus (which lands on virtuals) at this time. This is a push to drive more points through the physical game. The Cyclops will also only be worth 200 points if capped on a physical.

Name: The Mermaid

Description: The Mermaid Munzee bounces on Greenies, Water Mystery Munzees, and all physical Jewel Munzees every 12 hours or when capped. Each is numbered and owned by a Munzee player. Only 1 Mermaid Munzee is allowed per account. You will also earn the Mermaid badge for owning a Mermaid Munzee.

Points:

  • Deploy: 250
  • Capture: 200
  • CapOn: 100

There is not currently a traditional line of badges for capturing unique Mermaid Munzees, but these will count toward the Myth Hunter badge line. Stay tuned for a line of badges similar to the other Myth Ranker badges soon.

Cirque Du Munz Birthday Events!

Come one, come all, for Zee Greatest Show on Earth! Welcome to Cirque Du Munz!

For Munzee’s seventh birthday we’ve decided to run off to the circus! Come join us under the big top for the entire month of July. We’ll have specials, spectacles, and surprises of all sorts. UK Events Reminder

Howdy, everyone!

We just wanted to remind you that Rob and Louise will be attending two events this weekend in the UK (this one and this one)! They will also be taking a trip to cap the newest Emerald Garden in Richmond Park on Friday. There are still plenty of Emerald Pins available in the Freeze Tag Online Store and time to get one before they get capped!

There is also a growing number of Flat Lous in the area, so make sure to add your own. Flat Robs and Flat Lous are both currently active on the map and Flat Matt will be active on Saturday!

The “PEP” Sale!

We’re happy to announce that we’ve added some items to the Online Store: (more) Personals, Emeralds, and (new) Places, or PEP!

Personals

We’ve added two new Personal Munzee dog tag designs: Throwback Mom Tattoo and ZeeCret Weapons.

Both of these are printed on aluminum dog tags, and are available now for $10 each. (Only one of each design per account.)

Emerald Pins

Following the Go Green events, we have a limited number of Emerald Garden Pins remaining. We’re offering these for purchase to finish the gardens that have been released. When purchased, an Emerald Munzee will be automatically deployed into one of these gardens. Will yours land near the newly added Tour de Cure event in Seattle with coachV? See the map of all current emerald gardens here!

Emerald Garden Pins are available for $10, and you can purchase one per account per day, while supplies last.

Places Munzees

We’re happy to announce that we’ve extended the line of Places Munzees! Along with the current Places, we’ve added:

  • First Responders: to be placed at stations of First Responders (Fire Departments, Police Stations, etc)
  • Faith: to be placed at places of faith (churches, synagogues, mosques, etc)
  • Historical: to be placed at historical buildings and venues
  • Libraries*: to be placed at public libraries

*Note: Libraries are not available for purchase yet. Their release information will be available soon.

All of these new Places Munzees have a 1000ft capture radius, can be captured daily, and are not capturable via Blasts. Reminder: Once submitted for deployment, Places Munzees must be verified by MHQ. Please allow up to 2 business days for approval before emailing support. You will receive an email with approval or rejection with a reason. Please see all details about Places Munzees in our help manual.

These new Places Munzees are available for $10, and you can purchase one of each type per account every 30 days.

Flat Day The 13th Pt II Specials

Just when you thought it was safe to go back to cap… it’s FLAT DAY THE 13TH: PART II- FLAT MATT’S REVENGE!

This Friday is a Friday the 13th so we wanted to celebrate with a sequel to last year’s Flat Day The 13th special. Starting at 00:01 MHQ on April 13th Masked Flat Matts will begin bouncing around the map until April 15th at 23:59 MHQ. Since Flat Matt was revealed as the true villain last Flat Day The 13th he’s come to exact his revenge! Flinging his lasso of tape, Flat Matt is vandalizing Greenies all across the world- it’s up to you and Flat Rob to stop him!

Although Flat Matt is usually a virtual game piece, this masked version of him bounces on greenies like other specials. 1,313 Masked Flat Matts will jump on Greenies every 6 hours or when capped. When a Masked Flat Matt is capped three “Meanie” specials will scatter to greenies within a 1/2 mile of the area. The greenies will be “Taped” for 2 hours or when capped.

Masked Flat Matts will be attracted to Munzee Magnets so be sure to stock up on those in the Freeze Tag Online Store.

You CAN capture these specials on your own greenies.

You’ll have the chance to earn the “Sticky Situation” badge for capturing a Masked Flat Matt special. Rumor is you might be able to earn a secret second badge too… be sure to cap as many Masked Flat Matts AND Meanies as you can…

Flat Day The 13th captures will also count toward the Specials Capture badges.
