Roverhaul Part 2!
Last month, Rover gained a cool new ability to dig up Jewel Shards while accompanying you on Jewel-capping sessions! We hinted that that was only the first part of Rover’s planned upgrades, so we’re excited to reveal the second part to you now!
Another Trick in Rover’s Toolkit!
When you feed Rover a Rover Treat, your capture radius for virtual scattered munzees* (i.e. Feathers, Gnome Hats, etc.) and Amethysts will be doubled or raised to a minimum of 500 ft for one capture!Β For example, if the munzee normally requires a capture radius of 300 ft, it will be doubled to 600 ft. And if the munzee normally requires a capture radius of 150 ft, it will be raised to the minimum of 500 ft.
At launch Rover will only help you capture the aforementioned types, however he may be trained to chase other types in the future.
You’ll only see the option to feed Rover a treat if you:
- Have a Rover with you AND
- Try to capture a virtual scattered munzee or Amethyst that is too far away
This flow should prevent you from wasting Rover Treats, and also ensure that the popup won’t be too disruptive during normal play!
Premium players will receive 1 Rover Treat during this launch! Otherwise, you can pick up Rover Treats in the In-App Store for 40 Zeds, or get a pack of 10 Rover Treats in the Freeze Tag Store for $3.
Rovers Now Available In-App!
If you checked out the In-App Store upon reading the previous paragraph, you most likely noticed another item sitting beside the Rover Treats — that’s right, Rovers are now available in the In-App Store!
As we continue to refine and improve the Munzee app, expect more Rover-related news!
Munzee on!
*Unfortunately, Charge Munzees (scatters that land on another munzee) and MOB scatters (scatters that come from munzees that land on another munzee) are excluded from this, but as stated above, this may change in the future!
