March Flat Schedules

March is almost here, and that means so is the schedule for Flat Robs and Flat Matts!

Flat Rob

Flat Robs will be celebrating Go Green events as well as real Rob’s birthday by being on the map the entire month of March (March 1 at 00:01 MHQ time through March 31st at 23:59 MHQ time)!

Flat Matt

As noted last month, Flat Matt will begin the month by being on the map while Matt is attending the Munzee Madness 7 events. After that, he will be on the map during the following times:

  • March 8th at 00:01 MHQ time through March 11th at 23:59 MHQ time
  • March 15th at 00:01 MHQ time through March 19th at 23:59 MHQ time
  • March 21st at 00:01 MHQ time through March 27th at 23:59 MHQ time
  • March 29th at 00:01 MHQ time through March 31st at 23:59 MHQ time

Introducing the Fire Pouch Creature Munzee!

UPDATE: Due to player requests we have increased the point values to the three Tuli levels. We have also decreased the amount of time the Tuli will take to bounce from 12 hours to 6 hours. Changes are listed below in red. Thank you all for your input! 

In November we released the final member of the Classical Mythological Munzees, the Cyclops Mythological Munzee. Now we’re proud to announce a new era – the Pouch Creatures. The first Pouch Creature being released is the Tuli Pouch Creature Munzee.

The Pouch Creatures are based on items from one of our sister apps, WallaBee. These creatures, while similar to Mythological Munzees in many respects, have some different qualities. The Tuli Pouch Creature Munzee will bounce on Greenies and Fire Mystery Munzees every 6 hours or when capped. After 25 captures, however, the Tuli Pouch Creature Munzee will begin to level up.

To level up, a daily capture streak must be attained:

  • Level 1: 0-3 Consecutive Days of Capture
  • Level 2: 4-7 Consecutive Days of Capture
  • Level 3: 8+ Consecutive Days of Capture

Your Level 1 pouch creature will need 4 consecutive days of captures for it to evolve to Level 2, this will happen after the first capture on Day 4. Your Level 2 pouch creature will need 8 consecutive days of captures for it to evolve to Level 3, this will happen after the first capture on Day 8.

When the streak is broken, the Fire Pouch Creature will revert to Level 1 and the leveling process begins again.

By leveling up a Tuli Pouch Creature Munzee, the points for the owner, capper, and host owner will increase:

Deploy: 100 points

Capture/CapOn

  • Tuli (Level 1)
    • Capture: 50 points
    • CapOn: 50 Points
    • CapOn (Host Owner): 50 points
  • Tulimber (Level 2)
    • Capture: 75 points
    • CapOn: 75 Points
    • CapOn (Host Owner): 75 points
  • Tulinferno (Level 3)
    • Capture: 125 points
    • CapOn: 125 points
    • CapOn (Host Owner): 125 points

For deploying a Tuli Pouch Creature Munzee, you will earn a deploy badge:

There are also three badges (nine total) for capturing each level of the Tuli Pouch Creature Munzee. Here are the first for each level:

There will be 1800 Tuli Pouch Creature Munzees available for $20 in the Munzee Online Store TOMORROW (Friday, February 23rd) at 10:00 MHQ time. These will be sold on a first come, first served basis, and there is a limit of 1 per account.

That’s not all, though. We will also have a limited number of each of the previous Mythological Munzees available as well. If you’ve missed previous ownership opportunities or are a new player who wants to get in on the Mythological Munzee action, this is your chance! As always, you can only own one of each type of Mythological Munzee.

Flat Schedule Update and Sale!

At the end of last month, we released the February Flat schedules, and we’ve got a few updates for them!

The Olympics are in full swing right now, and Flat Matt wants to celebrate! Flat Matts will be on the map for the rest of the games, which means that, after being added to the previous scheduled times, they will be active through March 6th at 23:59 MHQ time.

Flat Robs will also be making a surprise appearance and will be active from Monday, February 19th at 00:01 MHQ time through Sunday, February 25th at 23:59 MHQ time.

That’s not all! Today is real Matt’s 26th birthday, so we’re celebrating! From now through Sunday, February 18th at 23:59 MHQ time, Flat Matts will be 26% off in the Munzee Online Store!

Fall In Love With The Cherub AlternaMyth!

It’s Valentine’s Day and love is in the air! What better day than today to introduce you all to our new AlternaMyth friend: The Cherub! Watch out for that arrow, unless you’re looking for love that is!

As with the other AlternaMyths these Mythological Munzees are deployed on behalf of our HQ staff’s accounts, thus super rare. You’ll get 200 points for capping the Cherub. Owners of the host munzee will also earn double the points of the Cherub’s earthbound cousin the Faun.

As the Faun’s cousin this cute cloud soarer is attracted to Earth Mystery Munzees, but Cherubs will also hover to all colors of Virtual Munzees, Mystery Virtual Munzees, and MVMs as well as Air Mystery Munzees every 12 hours or when captured.

Cherubs are sure to be busy on Valentine’s Day this year, but luckily you can slow one down with a Virtual Munzee Magnet! You can add Virtual Magnets to any color of MVM and they will attract Cherub, Pegasus, and Fire Pegasus munzees.

Capturing a Cherub will also count towards the Myth Collector badges so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for those friendly flyers.

Premium Members to Receive Another Golden Carrot Munzee!

When we launched the Farm Set of Evolution Munzees in September 2016, Premium Members were awarded a special Golden Carrot Evolution Munzee. That was the only time that Golden Carrots have been awarded, and we thought it was time to change that!

On Thursday, February 8th at 10:00 MHQ time, all Premium Members will receive another Gold Carrot Munzee. As a reminder, the Golden Carrot is a credit that is applied to a generic. This will only be a convert option for uncapped greenies in the first 24 hours after deploy or for never deployed undeploys. When deployed it will grow just like the others, reaching golden carrot status in it’s final stage. You must be a Premium Member when the awarding takes place to receive one.

Not a Premium Member yet, or is your Premium Membership about to expire? You still have time! From now until 23:59 MHQ time tomorrow (February 7th), Premium Memberships are $5 off in the Munzee Online Store!

Announcing The Fire Pegasus and Virtual Magnets!

As we welcome the new year, we’re also excited to welcome a new AlternaMyth- set the skies ablaze with the Fire Pegasus Mythological Munzee! As the first Classical AlternaMyth these winged creatures are sure to light the way for you in your Myth searches.

As with the other AlternaMyths these Mythological Munzees are deployed on behalf of our HQ staff’s accounts, thus super rare. You’ll get 200 points for capping The Fire Pegasus. Owners of the host munzee will also earn double the points of a normal Pegasus.

This fiery flyer is just like the normal Pegasus and hovers to all colors of Virtual Munzees, Mystery Virtual Munzees, and MVMs as well as Air Mystery Munzees every 12 hours or when captured. As the name may allude, the Fire Pegasus will also bounce to Fire Mystery Munzees.

Although this Myth’s blazing speed will make it a tough one to find, we’re excited to announce the release of the Virtual Magnet as well! Much like the regular Munzee Magnet the item will attract up to three Mythologicals for up to one hour. You can add Virtual Magnets to any color of MVM and they will attract Pegasus and Fire Pegasus munzees.

Like the Munzee Magnets, Virtual Magnets are $1/each with a limit of 10 every 10 days. Virtual Magnets are available NOW, and you can find them in the Munzee Online Store here. Be on the lookout for even more uses for the Virtual Magnet in the near future, too!

Capturing a Fire Pegasus will count towards the Myth Collector badges too.
