LegaZeeOps- Operation: Clan Clash (August 2019)

Agents, ZeeOps HQ’s system has been hacked and all of our files on past missions have been erased! You’ll have to recreate past Operations in what we’re calling LegaZeeOps. It’s up to you to keep the legacy of this organization in tact. The missions for this month are the same that were originally available in August 2017’s Operations.

Agents, despite our best attempts to keep this confidential, Director Zee is missing. After being replaced by the Dictator last month, his whereabouts have become unknown. Despite his absence, it’s up to ZeeOps Agents worldwide to continue their missions and protect the world.

Random archaic weapons shipments have begun popping up all over the world. You’ll need to investigate this by capturing and deploying Clan Weapon Munzees throughout the month.

The Clan Weapons that have begun to pop up all over the world may contain a hidden message from Director Zee. As a collector of weaponry of all sorts, Director Zee may be using these weapon deploys as a communication tactic. It is up to you to save Director Zee from whomever holds his fate.

August 2019 ZeeOps Operations are now live and you can begin planning your Missions to start on the following day. You can plan your Operations at munzee.com/ops/ and purchase more ZeeCred in the Freeze Tag Online Store. Remember that if you hit a snag at any point in your Operation you can use the Mission Mulligan feature to keep going!

By completing any Operation this month you’ll earn the new “LegaZeeOps- Operation: Clan Clash” badge.

This month’s Missions are as follows:

LEVEL 1

Basic Training +- Earn at least 1,000 points.
Defensive Training- Deploy at least 10 munzees.
Offensive Training- Capture at least 25 munzees.
Back To Barbarianism I- Capture at least 25 Clan Weapons of any kind.
Back To Barbarianism II- Deploy at least 10 Clan Weapons of any kind.

LEVEL 2:

Group Training +- Earn at least 1,000 CapOn points.
Weaponized- Capture at least 15 Clan Weapons and deploy at least 5 Clan Weapons of any kind.
A Study In Swords- Capture at least 40 Clan Weapons of any kind.
Axe And You Shall Receive- Deploy at least 25 Clan Weapons of any kind.
Virtual Surreality- Capture at least 100 virtual munzees of any type.

LEVEL 3:

Advanced Training- Earn at least 10,000 points.
Always Aware- Deploy at least 50 physical munzees of any type.
CLANdestine- Deploy at least 40 Clan Weapons of any kind.
First Is The Worst- Capture at least 50 Clan Weapons of any kind.
Virtual Virus 2- Capture at least 250 virtual munzees of any type.

LEVEL 4:

Expert Training- Earn at least 50,000 points.
At The Helm- Deploy at least 100 greenies.
Armory Amendments- Deploy at least 60 Clan Weapons of any kind.
The First- Capture at least 75 Clan Weapons and deploy at least 35 Clan Weapons of any kind.
Co-Founding Fathers- Capture at least 250 physical type munzees.

Your August Resolutions are Here!

From shaping up to saving up, our monthly Capture Streak badges have been centered around a year of personal improvement. As we prepare to enter into the month of August, our latest Resolution badge challenges players to stick their noses in a book!

What’s your favorite book?

Each month’s unique badge is dedicated to accomplishing another New Year’s Resolution. Like our Super Streak badges, you will be awarded a badge if you capture at least one Munzee* each day for the entire month. The monthly Capture Streak badges allow for the chance to work towards a different goal each month in order to bring about a year of positive growth and change.

Whether you have an electronic reading device or prefer to turn some good old-fashioned pages, it’s important to squeeze in the time for reading. Books impart us with knowledge, teach us valuable life lessons, immerse us in new worlds, and provide immense entertainment. Global Grub Overall Capture Badges Are HERE!

Can you believe 2019 is over halfway through, and we’ve already released over half of our Global Grub specials?! Over the past 7 months the Global Grub specials for Switzerland, Australia, China, France, Greece, Japan, Thailand, Mexico, Korea, Sweden, Italy, and the USA have joined the map. While there are still plenty of new specials to look forward to, we’re happy to announce the release of our overall capture line today at 15:00 MHQ time!

These brand new badges can be earned for capturing Global Grub Munzees of ANY type. This retroactive line of badges will also include any new Global Grub Munzees released throughout the the rest of the year.

Want a preview of this overall capture line? Many of you have likely already earned the following badge for capturing one Global Grub special of any type:

There will be six badges in total, so keep capturing as many as you can! Remember that all Global Grub specials will leave the map on 12/31/2019 at 23:59 MHQ time. Introducing the Flat Flyby Scatter Specials! (And the First 1,000 Point Munzee!!)

July 16-24 marks a historical period in time, as it is the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11, the first manned mission to land on the Moon. To commemorate this critical moment in human history, Virtual Flat Shuttles will begin bouncing on Tuesday, July 16 at 00:01 MHQ time all the way until Wednesday, July 31 at 23:59 MHQ time!

Flat Shuttle Specials

Starting tomorrow, you will have the rest of the month to enjoy these brand new Flat Shuttle specials. The Flat Shuttle icons will bounce to the Flat Friends Munzees and regular Virtual Munzees every 6 hours or when capped and scatter our Flat Flyby Friends to Greenies. Flat Flyby Friends will scatter to Greenies within 1,000 ft of the initial virtual Flat Shuttle capture. 500 of these virtual specials will be bouncing around the map, and they will not be blastable.

Points

  • Capture: 69
  • CapOn: 19

You can increase your chances of capping the Flat Shuttle specials by using Virtual Magnets, available for purchase in the Freeze Tag Online Store.

Flat Flyby Friends

Each time a Flat Shuttle special is captured, one of each of the four Flat Flyby Friends —Flat Flyby Rob, Matt, Lou, and Hammock— will be scattered to a nearby Greenie for 6 hours or when capped. The Flat Flyby Friends will all be worth the same point values.

  • Capture: 50
  • CapOn: 19

You can access these specials by turning on your All Expiring Specials and All Limited Edition Specials filters.

Badges

Capturing these specials will count towards Specials capture badges. They will also have their own line of badges for players to enjoy! There will be two capture badges to earn, for capturing any Flat Shuttle special and for capturing one of each of the Flat Flyby specials. The badges will appear as follows:

And that’s not all of the exciting news!

8 Mates Special

When the Shuttle Specials go live, we will also have eight “M8s” (pronounced “Mates”) enter the map as well! These physical bouncers will bounce to Greenies every 8 hours or until captured. They will remain on the map for the same duration as the Shuttle Specials, from July 16 at 00:01 MHQ time until July 31 at 23:59 MHQ time.

Ready to hear about the points?! Yes, you read the blog’s title correctly! This rare special will be worth a whopping points value, because birthday month really has us celebr8ing!

Points

  • Capture: 1,000 points + 8 PinPoints
  • CapOn: 108 points

You can access this very exciting special by turning on your All Expiring Specials and All Limited Edition Specials filters. Captures on the 8 Mates specials will count towards Specials Capture badges, as well as their own badge line. The 8 Mates specials will be attracted to physical Munzee Magnets.

8 Mates Badges

There will be two badges to earn for capturing the 8 Mates specials based on number of captures. There are very few of the these specials bouncing around, so you’ll have to get really lucky if you want both! The badges will appear as follows:

We told you that July would be a GR8 month! Don’t forget that Magic 8 Ball munzees are still bouncing around until the end of the month as well, so there are TONs of specials to try for! Is this the most extravagant 8th birthday celebration that you’ve ever been a part of!? An entire month of fun, celebrations, and specials!

Team USA Earns Gold for Coupe du Munzee Victory!

The Coupe du Munzee specials might have left the map on July 7 following the conclusion of the Women’s World Cup, but we told you that wouldn’t be the end of these specials! Please welcome the Coupe Champion Nomad to the map at 15:00 MHQ time to honor our champion, Team USA!

 

This golden icon will operate similarly to our Nomad Munzees, which are rare bouncers that travel all over the map. Unlike our Coupe du Munzee specials, it will be a permanent munzee, meaning this physical bouncing game piece is here to stay! There will be 11 of the Coupe Champion Nomads on the map, and they will bounce to Greenies every 12 hours or when capped. The number of Nomads signifies the 11 players on the field during a game of football/soccer.

Coupe Champion Nomads work a bit differently though. When you cap any of the 11 Coupe Champion Nomads you have a chance of earn one of 23 different icons featuring the jersey number of a member of the victorious Team USA! Similar to the Magic 8 Ball Specials, you don’t know which number you’ll get so cap these rare superstars any chance you can!

Points:

  • Capture: 500
  • CapOn: 250

These munzees can be captured on previously capped and owned munzees. They will be attracted to physical Munzee Magnets. You can access the Coupe Champion Nomads by turning on your All Expiring Specials and All Limited Edition Specials filters.

Badge

There will be a special badge to earn upon capturing at least one Coupe Champion Nomad. These new bouncers will also count toward the other Nomad badge lines as well.

Coupe Du Munzee Champions!

We would also like to take a moment to acknowledge all of the teams that participated in the Coupe, especially the Netherlands team that put up such a great fight in the championship game. As a worldwide game ourselves we value the merits of international competition, and we had a ton of fun watching all of the games alongside our own international players. Now get out there and cap the Coupe Champion Nomad to celebrate the victory of Team USA! Even if you weren’t rooting for them, you have to admire the athletic achievement of the fierce women of Team USA!

It’s a Party in the USA with Our Latest Global Grub!

Today is a very, very special holiday, as it’s National Mac & Cheese Day!! Of course we must celebrate this extremely important holiday by releasing the United States Global Grub Munzee today at 15:00 MHQ time!

Seven United States Global Grub specials will be deployed, joining Global Grub virtual specials including Mexico, Australia, Japan, and more! They will bounce to regular virtuals and colored virtuals every 12 hours or when captured.

Points

  • Cap: 200
  • CapOn (Host): 100

Each time a Global Grub munzee is captured, players will earn a badge containing a dish of food that is unique to the flag pin country. Capturing the United States Global Grub will earn you the following delicious badge:

How will you be celebrating National Mac & Cheese Day? (Even if you’re not American, you better be celebrating!) Whether your’re lactose intolerance, gluten free, or vegan, there are so many delicious mac & cheese recipes out there that you can customize to meet your dietary needs. When it comes to determining what makes for the perfect dish of mac & cheese, everyone tends to have very passionate answers. Do you bake yours with bread crumbs? Crumble in a little bacon on top? Add in some lobster? Mix in a special seasoning? Use several different cheeses? Let us know your secret to the world’s best mac & cheese!

The Global Grub specials will bounce around the globe for the remainder of the year before leaving the map on 12/31/2019 at 23:59 MHQ time. You will have until then to try your luck capturing these very rare specials. We will also be putting out an overall capture line soon, so make sure to stay turned for more exciting Global Grub updates in the very near future!

New RetireMyths Set to Haunt the Map (Plus Zombie Pouch Creatures!)

The map has seemed a little too calm lately, so we’ve sent out some brand new RetireMyths to haunt it! There will be a number of new RetireMyths, representing our latest Mythological Munzees, setting out to haunt the map at their own will! These creatures will begin haunting the map very soon!

New RetireMyths

Our latest RetireMyths will include the physical and virtual Banshee RetireMyth, the physical and virtual Fairy RetireMyth, and the physical Mermaid RetireMyth. Like the other RetireMyths, these game pieces will join the map once any Myth owned by an Inactive or Retired account has been archived. These munzees will roam the map at certain times, and are worth 500 points upon first capture, with the point value decreasing by 1 point per each subsequent capture of the unique RetireMyth.

As a reminder, RetireMyths are not attracted to magnets, and they land on the same type of Munzee as their regular counterpart. That means you might want to brush up on your Mythological Munzee knowledge in order to find these ghoulish game pieces.

Zombie Pouch Creatures

Our Myth Munzees can’t be the only type haunting the map! Now introducing the Zombie Pouch Creatures, which will operate like RetireMyths for Pouch Creatures owned by Inactive or Retired accounts!

Muru, Tuli, and Vesi just got a little bit gloomier (though Muru was always pretty gloomy) with their Zombie Pouch Creature variants. They will work the same way that RetireMyths do, entering the map at select times and landing on the same type of Munzee as their regular counterpart. Like the RetireMyths, Zombie Pouch Creatures will be worth 500 points upon first cap and 1 point less for each cap per unique munzee that follows. Please note that Zombie Pouch Creatures will NOT level up into their other forms.

Big Map Plans for the InternationElles Munzee!

It’s July, which means it’s time for Louise and the InternationElles to make their pedaled protest to demonstrate the capability of women in cycling! In fact, today marks their very first day of riding! And with Freeze Tag sponsoring these fierce females and Rob joining Louise in France, we thought we’d take you along for the ride!

InternationElles Munzee

As Louise cycles the entire route of the Tour de France with the InternationElles one day before the men, Rob will be driving a support van and deploying in France. Rob and Louise will both be deploying virtuals and physicals throughout the Tour de France route, so we decided to make them special! Introducing the InternationElles Munzee icons!

Similar to the Whomp Canada and Wayward Nation munzees, these unique pins will feature special icons. Any greenie or virtual deployed by the InternationElles Munzee account will become the beautiful icons pictured above!

  • Capture: Between 19-78, random
  • CapOn/Deploy: N/A

You can access the InternationElles pins under the Tourism filter. Although the InternationElle Munzees will only be available in France, these special pins will be permanently on the map! So if you’re planning a trip to France, be sure to check out a portion of the Tour de France route and cap an InternationElle Munzee!

Coupe du Munzee Icon Updates!

It’s time for a map change! The Women’s World Cup Semifinals have officially determined which two teams will be battling it out for third place and which teams will have the chance to compete for the championship! We thought it was only fitting to reflect this on the map for our Coupe du Munzee specials, with our next icon change taking place on Friday, July, 5 at 00:01 MHQ time!

The Semifinals saw teams USA and Netherlands advancing to the finals, while England and Sweden will be competing for third place following their losses. However, rather than reduce England and Sweden to one icon per team as we have done with the other eliminated teams, these team icons will remain on the map at 34 icons per team! After all, these teams battled through quite the challenge and deserve recognition! Meanwhile, our top two teams have seen their icons increase from 11 to 30 to 50 to 75. Teams USA and Netherlands will now both have 120 icons per team to celebrate their amazing athletic achievements!

That means the Coupe du Munzee distribution will be as follows:

Top two teams, 120 icons per team:
