UPDATED: Emerald Garden Pins for Sale

Updated to include per person limit.

If you hadn’t noticed, some new Emerald Gardens popped up over the course of Birthday Month. These new gardens were tied to Birthday events as prizes, and during the course of the month, we had to make some adjustments to them due to the massive amount of Birthday Party attendees. In doing so, we overestimated a bit and are now left with a few incomplete gardens. We’re opening up those remaining spots to everyone!

Tomorrow are 15:00 MHQ time, Emerald Garden Pins will be back in the store. They are $10, and you will be randomly assigned an Emerald in one of the gardens. This sale is open to everyone, but there is a limited quantity available. There is also a limit of ONE PER PERSON. This link will go live at sale time. If you were unable to attend a Birthday Event, or you just want an Emerald Munzee, this is your chance!

Lapels Pins and More!

Team Munzee is constantly listening to and trying new ideas for new munzees, products, and merchandise. From your input and sugestions, we’ve created and added some new items to the Munzee Online Store:

Lapel Pins: Along with patches, lapel pins have been one of the most suggested items. We’re happy to announce that we now have two styles of Munzee Lapel Pins in stock with more to come. They’re limited quantity, but more (both quantity and styles) will be available soon.
Decals: Plain Munzee Logo Decals are back in stock. We will have new styles of decals available shortly.
Apparel: New shirts, including a Dragon Munzee shirt have been added to the store, as well.

Share Your Referral Code and Win Big!

Last week, we shared Munzee Introduction Flyers which allow you to introduce players of other geo-location based games to Munzee. These flyers are editable to include your own referral code to benefit from these new player signups. That will come in handy for our latest competition.

From tomorrow (July 19th) at 00:01 MHQ time through July 31st at 23:59 MHQ time, we will be having a competition using referral codes. After the time period has passed, we calculate the three players who had their referral codes scanned the most*. The winners will receive gift cards to the Munzee Online Store.

Speaking of the online store, we’ve also added a new Munzee Decal with Referral Code to it!

This sticker will be die-cut (similar to the current Munzee Decal) but will also include your own referral code on it! These are available now and are prices 2 for $5. (Because these are custom, they may take a bit longer to ship than generic stickers or decals.) These are just the start to new, personalized stickers you will be able to get!

So get out there and grow the community! What better time than birthday month?!

New Products in the Munzee Store

Updated: Now includes Capture and Deploy points for the Prize Wheel.

It’s been talked about and teased since late last year, and we figured Birthday Month would be a great time to release it. The Prize Wheel Munzee is here! Well, almost. Starting Friday, July 15th at 10:00 MHQ time, the Prize Wheel will be available in the Munzee Online Store. They are $5 each, and there is a limit of 10 per player per month.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Prize Wheel, don’t worry. We’ve got you covered. Prize Wheel Munzees take the classic idea of a prize wheel and Munzee-fies it. When captured, you are randomly award points ranging from 20-100 or a credit item plus 10 points. You receive 25 points for both Deploy and CapOn.

We’ve also added three new Mini Urban Camo skins to the store: Laser Warning, Fire Warning, and Globe.

These new Urban Camos are in the store NOW and are on sale at $5 for 20 stickers ($6 regular price) through Sunday at 23:59 MHQ time.

We will be adding a lot of new items to the store in weeks to come, so keep an eye out!

RPS Credits, Decals, and Patches are in the Store!

Today, we added three new* products to the store.

RPS Credits: Credits for the Rock Paper Scissors Munzee are now available in the Online Store. They are $2 and will be credited to your account after purchase.
Decals: We now have two new decals available in the Online Store. There are currently Munzee Logo and WallaBee decal stickers available for $2. They are die-cut and made from the same durable material as our stickers. They are great for cars, laptops, phones, etc. They are a limited first run, but there will be more available soon as well as new designs.
Patches: Along with the decals, we’ve also added some Munzee Inc themed patches to the store for $5. These include:
- The Munzee Pin
- Flat Rob
- The WallaBee
- The Eventzee Logo
- The Eventzee “Warhol’s Wunderbar” Badge

These are just the start of great new things to come!

They’ve Risen Out of the Fires

For nearly 8 months, Mythological Munzees have roamed the map in peace. The Unicorns roamed for months and eventually drew out the Leprechauns to play. Shamrocks bloomed and treated these creatures to wonderful landing spots. But everything changed when the mysterious fires appeared.

When captured these fires spread flames around, igniting Greenies for short periods of time. But they also had a different purpose. They laid the path for something new and unknown. The scorched land of Munzee became a new home for another Mythological Munzee. It began laying it’s eggs and preparing to join it’s brethren. After a month of waiting, this Mythological Munzee has been joined by 999 others. Now, they’re ready to be released. The Dragons need to be tamed.

The Dragon is different than his other Mythological family. It doesn’t hide on or eat Shamrocks. It scorches greenies that it lands on and thrives in the heat of the Fire Mysteries that brought it to life. When captured on a Fire Mystery, it gets angered and shoots out the Fire Mystery’s scattered flames. It takes no mercy. If you think you can tame one, though, you may get your chance.

On Friday, July 1st, the 1000 Dragon Munzees will be available for sale in the Munzee Online Store. From 10:00 MHQ time through 13:59 MHQ time, Dragons will first be available for those who DO NOT own a Unicorn OR a Leprechaun. At 14:00 MHQ time, the remaining Dragons will be available to everyone. There will be a limit of 1 Dragon per account with no exception. Like the other Mythological Munzees, they will be priced at $20 each and are only available in this limited quantity. Owners of Dragon Munzees will also received the Dragon badge.

The Scatter Munzee Has Arrived!

It’s been teased and tested for the past few months, but now, it’s ready for release. We’re happy to introduce the Scatter Munzee to our lineup!

The Scatter Munzee is a credit that can be applied to greenies. When captured, it scatters 4 Scattered Munzee icons (seen below) onto greenies within a one mile radius.

These special icons will remain for 2 hours or until captured. These Scattered Munzees are available for anyone to capture, so you have to be quick!

The points for the Scatter and Scattered Munzees are as follows:

Capture: 15
CapOn: 10

The Scatter Munzee will be available in the Munzee Store starting today, May 4th at 13:00 MHQ time. From release through 13:00 MHQ time on Wednesday, May 11th, they will be available for $2.50. From that time on, they will be returned to their standard price of $3.00.

New Munzee Online Store Soft Opening

When the Munzee store originally launched in February 2013, it was a new and exciting way for quality Munzee stickers and products to be sold. It also allowed us to try new things and you, our players, to grow the map and game like we never expected. Almost three years later, however, that store just doesn’t cut it anymore.

Towards the end of last year, we began looking into alternative options for a new store. After months of research and testing, a new option was chosen, and we got to work building it out. Now, it’s time to test it.

From Friday, January 15th at 14:00 CST until Sunday, January 17th at 23:59 CST, the new Munzee store will be live for a soft opening. The new store can be found here or at https://munzeestore.myshopify.com/ and will ONLY be active during that time frame. After the soft opening, we will assess what works and needs to be changed, and we will announce when we will be switching over for good!

The Winner of the 2014 Munzee Photo Contest!

After weeks of photo submissions from our players, the 2014 Munzee Photo Contest has found its winner. Among hundreds of submissions, the top 5 photos were chosen and we invited players to our Facebook page to vote on which image perfectly embodied the Munzee experience. The winner, who captured the photo below, is Luciano Reis (fotoluca) and he found the combination of urban construction and rural landscape to be a perfect balance of Munzee’s wide variety of play. Have you ever wanted to add some color to the Virtual Garden you designed or helped build? Want to see the gloves on the boxing Kangaroo in Australia light up red? Create a special MVM trail with your own signature artwork?

Now you can! When you purchase Virtual Colors, they will appear in your account as credits to be applied to a deployed virtual or mystery virtual. 1 credit equals one color applied to 1 pin. You can choose any of our 11 colors but be sure you are certain because once a pin color has been changed it will remain that color.
