December 2018 Clan Requirements

UPDATE NOV. 29 — myth/alterna/retire and pouch creatures WILL NOT COUNT AS PHYSICAL OR VIRTUAL CAPTURES. This has been the case in previous Battles as well. The host will count as its respective type. The points for the bouncer and the host will count as usual.

Clan Battle #69 will start December 3 at 00:01 MHQ!

Requirements this month are based on overall Clan activity and points, so you’ll need to work together and hold one another accountable.

If you would like to join a clan for the first time or want to find a new clan you can use our Clan Randomizer button, but it is only available from 00:01 December 1 through 23:59 December 2 so act fast!

LEVEL 1
Clan must capture at least 250 physical munzees of any type. Clan must earn at least 100,000 points.

Rewards: 1 Crossbow, 1 Mace credit, 1 Virtual, 1 Ruby credit

LEVEL 2
Clan must capture at least 350 physical munzees of any type, and 250 virtual munzees of any type.  Clan must earn at least 250,000 points.

Rewards: 1 Mace credit, 1 Longsword credit, 1 Crossbow, 1 Catapult, 1 Surprise, 2 Aquamarine credits

LEVEL 3
Clan must capture at least 450 physical munzees of any type, and 750 virtual munzees of any type.  Clan must earn at least 400,000 points.

Rewards: 2 Mace credits, 1 Longsword credit, 2 Crossbow, 1 Catapult, 2 Virtuals, 2 Virtual color credits, 10 ZeeCred

LEVEL 4
Clan must capture at least 500 physical munzees of any type, and 1250 virtual munzees of any type. Clan must deploy at least 150 munzees of any type. Clan must earn at least 500,000 points.

Rewards: 1 Mace credit, 2 Longsword credits, 1 Crossbow, 2 Catapults, 1 Battle Axe credit, 2 Sapphires, 1 Virtual Resort, 25 ZeeCred

LEVEL 5
Clan must capture at least 1000 physical munzees of any type, and 2500 virtual munzees of any type. Clan must deploy at least 350 munzees of any type. Clan must earn at least 800,000 points.

Rewards: 2 blast caps, 2 Virtuals, 2 Virtual Color credits, 1 Hammer credit, 1 Catapult, 2 Crossbows, 2 Mace credits, 2 Longsword credits, 1 Surprise, 1 Amethyst, 1 Prize Wheel credit, 5 Virtual Trail credits (with 5 Virtuals)

By completing Level 5 requirements, you’ll also unlock a unique “I achieved Level 5 in December 2018” sticker to purchase for $1. This decal sticker is not a game piece, but it will give you major bragging rights! You will not be able to purchase this sticker until your Clan has achieved Level 5. It is optional, not required but something special we wanted to try for the first time. 🙂

Physical = Anything with a QR code* including any Destination Rooms, hosts, bouncing things, etc.
Virtual = All types of virtuals – clan weapons, jewels, resorts, virtual myths, expiring virtual types, etc.
*Socials are not physical or virtual so they do not count.
**Points include Caps, Deploys, and CapOns

Earn the Clan Armory badge by capturing 50 Clan Weapon Munzee of any type.

Leprechaun and Mermaid Myth Variant Details

Cyber Munzday sales will kick off in the next couple hours, but we have one last bit of information to share before the craziness ensues!

We’re excited to announce all new Mythological Munzee Variants for Mermaid and Leprechaun Myths. Much like AlternaMyths these are twists on the original Myth types that allow them to bounce to other types of munzees. These variants are only available to Myths that have been “Upgraded” and you can only change the type once.

Starting today at 12:00 MHQ (when the Cyber Munzday sales start) we’re launching two variants for both the Mermaid and the Leprechaun. Remember if you purchased a Mermaid it has already been “Upgraded” so you will not have to purchase an additional Myth Upgrade. Leprechauns will require a Myth Upgrade to unlock the Variants though.

You can purchase Myth Upgrades in the Freeze Tag Online Store. Myth Upgrades are discounted as a part of Cyber Munzday for $4 (originally $5) so now would be a great time to load up on these if you haven’t already. We plan on releasing more Myth Variants in the coming months, so take advantage of the sale today!

Once your Myth is Upgraded you can convert it to a new type via the website similar to how you would convert any other type of Munzee. Remember that you can only convert a Myth Variant once and after a Myth has been changed it cannot go back.

Points for Variant Myths will remain the same, they will continue counting toward their specific Myth badges just like normal. The only thing that changes is what it bounces to as well as a new capture icon in the Specials list.

Hot Spring Mermaid:
Warm up with this gilled gal in nature’s own hot tubs! This variant of the Mermaid Mythological Munzee swims to the following:

Don’t disturb the Melusine during her bath! This variant of the Mermaid Mythological Munzee bounces to the following:

The greedy Goblin has its eyes on the prize! This variant of the Leprechaun Mythological Munzee creeps to Greenies, and Jewel Munzees.

Muru Pouch Creature Munzee Details

Get ready to rock and roll this Cyber Munzday!

There will be a limited number of Muru Pouch Creature Munzees available for $20 in the Freeze Tag Online Store Cyber Munzday (Monday, November 26th) at 12:00 MHQ time. We will release waves of Muru at different points of the day, so if you miss the initial launch there will still be more available later. These will be sold on a first come, first served basis, and there is a limit of 1 per account.

Muru:

The Pouch Creatures are based on items from our sister app, WallaBee. These creatures, while similar to Mythological Munzees in many respects, have some different qualities. The Muru Pouch Creature Munzee will bounce on Greenies and Earth Mystery Munzees every 6 hours or when capped.

Don’t forget that after 25 captures the Muru Pouch Creature Munzee will begin to level up!

To level up, a daily capture streak must be attained:

  • Level 1: 0-3 Consecutive Days of Capture
  • Level 2: 4-7 Consecutive Days of Capture
  • Level 3: 8+ Consecutive Days of Capture

Your Level 1 Pouch Creature will need 4 consecutive days of captures for it to evolve to Level 2, this will happen after the first capture on Day 4. Your Level 2 Pouch Creature will need 8 consecutive days of captures for it to evolve to Level 3, this will happen after the first capture on Day 8.

When the streak is broken, the Pouch Creature will revert to Level 1.

By leveling up a Muru Pouch Creature Munzee, the points for the owner, capper, and host owner will increase:

Capture/CapOn:

  • Muru (Level 1)
    • Capture: 200 points
    • CapOn: 100 Points
    • CapOn (Host Owner): 50 points
  • Muruchi (Level 2)
    • Capture: 300 points
    • CapOn: 200 Points

    • Capture: 500 points

A significant change to the Earth Mystery Munzee has also gone into effect. Earth Mysteries will no longer activate Recycle Munzees. Instead capping an Earth Mystery will scatter Boulder Munzees to Greenies nearby. Similar to Catapult Munzee three Boulders will be hurled to Greenies within a quarter mile radius for 1 hour. This feature is currently live.

The points for Earth Mystery Munzees will stay the same, but the Boulders’ points are as follows:

Boulders:

  • Capture: 40 Points
  • CapOn (Host Owner): 15 Points

For deploying a Muru Pouch Creature Munzee, you will earn a deploy badge:

There are also three badges (nine total) for capturing each level of the Muru Pouch Creature Munzee. Here are the first for each level:

Pouch Creatures can be a little shy, but luckily all three types (Muru, Tuli and Vesi) are attracted to physical Munzee Magnets as well! They will only be attracted as their Level 1 version though, so once they level up they won’t fall for any tricks! You can pick up Magnets in the Freeze Tag Online Store along with an Elemental Munzee Pak (which will also go live on Cyber Munzday) to help you hunt down more Pouch Creatures!

2018 Advent Calendar Details

Cyber Munzday is nearly here! One of our most high profile items for sale is the all new Munzee Advent Calendar. Like we said in the Cyber Munzday preview, we won’t spoil the surprises for each day, but we did want to line out some of the details.

Much like other Advent Calendars, starting December 1st you’ll get one Munzee-themed reward each day leading up to Christmas. Some of these will be virtual or credit munzees, but there are a TON of surprises including access to a special Zee-Ops, limited edition badges, multi-point days, discounts and more.

These prizes will go out at 00:01 MHQ each day. Certain rewards (like ZeeOps and mutli-point days) will start the following day after the gift has been revealed. This is to allow you time to plan for these days.

Advent Calendars have over $60 value just for the products you’ll receive and that doesn’t include the value of badges, multi-point days, etc. So this is a great deal! Advent Calendars will sell for $25 on Cyber Munzday. They will then be removed from the Online Store until the beginning of December when they will cost $40.

The price will then decrease over time, but the gifts will not be retroactive. So if you purchase an Advent Calendar after 00:01 MHQ on December 5th, you will not receive the items for the first five days. The Advent Calendar will no longer be for sale after December 17th. So you should really just purchase yours on Cyber Munzday!

We’re super excited to celebrate the Holiday Zee-son with you all and this collection of products is a great way to count down with us! We thank you all once again for your excitement for Cyber Munzday- it’s sure to be a busy day.

Cyber Munzday 2018 Preview!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Although the American offices will be celebrating Thanksgiving with their families tomorrow, Cyber Munzday will kick off the following Monday.

Our Cyber MunzDay sale will begin at 12:00 PM (Noon) MHQ time on Monday, November 26th and will last until 12:00 PM MHQ time on Tuesday, November 27th. Per usual the Munzee Online Store will be offline between 10:30 and 11:59 MHQ time on Monday in preparation for the sales as well as from 12:01 through 14:00 MHQ time on Tuesday to make changes.

We’ve got quite a few sales, which you can find detailed below. Throughout the rest of this week we’ll be releasing more detailed blog posts on the individual items leading into Cyber Munzday.

2018 Advent Calendar- $25 (Limit One Per Player)

We can’t say this clearly enough: You’re gonna want to get your hands on this!

Muru Pouch Creature- $20 (Limit one per player)

The latest cuddly critter from the Pouch Creature line is the rockin’ roller Muru! As you can imagine these grassy growlers will be attracted to Earth Mystery Munzees, which are also getting a bit of a change on Cyber Munzday. We’ll have more details later regarding the specifics, but per usual there will be a limited number of Muru Pouch Creatures released at various points in the day.

Bowling Ball Munzee- $15 (Sheet of 10)

This all new addition to the gaming line of Munzees (RPS and Prize Wheels) is sure to knock a few pins loose! Again, we’ll have more details soon, but this is Munzee’s take on a bowling mini game. When you capture a Bowling Ball Munzee a new munzee type called “1st Roll” will be scattered nearby. You can either earn a Strike or another munzee called “2nd Roll” will be scattered nearby for a chance to earn a Spare. Bowling Ball Munzees will come in sheets of 10 for $15 ($1.50 each) on Cyber Munzday, but will normally be $25 ($2.50 each). More details regarding points and how it works will be in a separate blog post.

New Myth Variants and Discounted Myth Upgrades- $4 per Myth

We have four all new Myth Variants that will go live on Cyber Munzday! There will be two new variants for both the Leprechaun and the Mermaid at 12:00 MHQ. Although Mermaids are already upgraded, you’ll need to buy a Myth Upgrade for the Leprechaun in order to convert it. If you didn’t Upgrade your Unicorn, now is a great time to do that as well because for Cyber Munzday Myth Upgrades will be discounted from $5 to $4. We’ll have more details about the individual Myth Variants in a separate blog post.

Personal Tags and Christmas Ornaments- Various Pricing 

What do all the good little boys and girls, all around the world, want from Santa? New Munzee personals of course! We have a handful of Cyber Munzday designs, as well as brand new Christmas ornament designs. These metal ornaments will come in a variety of shapes and there will be the option to add a personal code to it.

Prepare For Year-Round Fun With The Seasonal Nomad Munzee!

Following the point increase on Nomad Munzees, we’re excited to announce a new roaming recluse. Say “Seasons Greetings” to the Seasonal Nomad Munzee!

Since Clan Wars this month require you to cap a few Nomads, we thought we’d give you all a little heads up that these will launch tomorrow at 10:00 MHQ.

Beginning Wednesday, Nov 21st at 10:00 MHQ time 10 Seasonal Nomads will start bouncing on Seasonal Munzees every 12 hours or when captured. Like other Nomads, you will earn 500 points for capturing a Seasonal Nomad and the owner of the host Seasonal Munzee will earn 250 points.

These captures will also count toward the Nomad Munzee Badge Line.

Virtual Garden Places Munzees!

We’ve got an all new Places Munzee and this one is special! Have you ever wanted an easy way to identify where Munzee Virtual Gardens are without having to load the entire design on the map? Well you’re in luck!

Starting RIGHT NOW you can purchase Virtual Garden Places Munzees in the Freeze Tag Online Store at https://store.freezetag.com/products/places-munzees!

Virtual Garden Places Munzees can be deployed as an indicator of a Munzee Virtual Garden. These gardens can be made up of any type of virtual Munzee (clan weapons, jewels, etc.). Please note that this type is not a part of the actual Garden, but instead a pin to indicate its general location. Munzee Virtual Gardens are player created works of art based on Virtual Munzee deploys. Examples of Virtual Gardens include Sunset Cowboy in Ft. Worth, TX, Rose Garden in UK, and Scared Kitty in Lithuania. You may also choose to deploy this type of Place near an official Munzee Emerald Garden.

There are so many unique Virtual Gardens throughout the world, so this new Places Munzee will work slightly different than others. Virtual Garden Places Munzees have a lowered 0.5 mile deploy proximity, so if there are other Gardens nearby you’ll still be able to deploy one. Only one Place is allowed per garden, and the garden must contain a minimum of 50 virtual type Munzees. When submitting your Virtual Garden Places Munzee for approval we ask that you include a link to the Garden’s location on the Munzee map and also any helpful information in the Munzee Notes section. You can do this by submitting and then visiting the Munzee page to update the name and notes while it is pending approval. Also if there is a spreadsheet associated with the garden link it in the description so others can help grow it.

Since Virtual Garden Places Munzees will need to be double checked on the Munzee map it may take a bit longer than usual to approve these. Please bear with our support staff and if they decline your submission please work with them to locate the area for confirmation. You will receive an email with approval or rejection with a reason. Please see all details about Places Munzees in our help manual.

Virtual Garden Places Munzees are available for $5, and you can purchase two per account every 30 days. Normal Places Munzees are $10 each and you are limited to one per type every 30 days. Since these new Munzees are more affordable, and they are allowed to be closer together, the points for Virtual Garden Places Munzees are a bit lower as well.

  • Deploy: 40
  • Capture: 10
  • Cap-On: 5

Like other Places Munzees, these will have 1,000 ft capture radius, can be captured daily, but cannot be captured via Blast Captures. You can also earn badges for capturing Places Munzees as well as capture streaks!

With all of these new Places Munzees available we have expanded the Places Munzee filters in the current version of the Munzee app. You’ll now be able to filter the map by individual Places Munzee types. So if you’re just looking for Virtual Gardens, you’ll be able to make that a bit easier. The current layout of the filters may seem a bit clunky, but a filter reorganization is a big feature for Munzee 4.0, so this will be a lot more organized when that version launches soon. Once again thank you for your patience as we roll out new Munzee types alongside our 4.0 development!

Similar to other AlternaMyths these Mythological Munzees are deployed on behalf of our HQ staff’s accounts, thus super rare. The Fairy Godmother AlternaMyths are now live for capture so check out the Specials Map to see if there is one near you!

As the AlternaMyth to the Fairy Mythological Munzee the Fairy Godmother can fly sky-high, but she’s also known to rock a pair of diamond slippers! Fairy Godmothers are attracted to greenies, regular Mystery Munzees, Air Mystery Munzees and Jewel Munzees.

Capturing a Fairy Godmother will also count towards the Myth Collector badges so wish with all of your might that this magical maiden will save your night!

Speaking of badges, new achievements for capturing regular Fairy Mythological Munzees (and the other Fairy Variants) are now available to earn. These badges work like other myth badges and they will be retroactive.

In celebration of the Fairy Godmother release we also have a limited number of decals stickers for the new AlternaMyth and the regular Fairy as well. Get those in the online store!
