A ZEE-Dayz for Premium Members + NEW Greeting Cards!

As we mentioned earlier in the week, today we’re kicking off a very special ZEE-Dayz! While some of the important details were already revealed, we thought it wouldn’t hurt to give you a refresher, along with some additional details. Read on for everything you need to know!

From the period of Thursday, March 17th at 12:00 MHQ through Sunday, March 20th at 23:59 MHQ, March MunzPak owners can enjoy double points on select Mechz, Evolutions, and MORE!

NEW tPOB Pub Details

Last week, we teased that a NEW game piece was coming and that non-trial Premium Members would be getting one automatically at 12:00 MHQ today! The wait is over — we are happy to unveil the tPOB Pub,  the first temporary virtual Destination!

Otherwise, if you’re not a Premium Member, the tPOB Pub is available NOW in the Freeze Tag Online Store HERE. Be sure to shop fast, because it will leave the store at 23:59 MHQ on Thursday, March 31st!

Why use a tPOB Pub? This extra special munzee has the following awesome advantages:

  • Perfect for travelers who may want the benefits of a Skyland, but only for a short time
  • Quick and high points
  • Easy access to multiple tPOB caps at once
  • The ability to share the love with other tPOB owners
  • Achieve tPOB Clan Wars requirements quicker

Don’t forget that this month, as it’s a Destination, upon capture you have the chance to earn 1 Sham Rock Credit! Otherwise, the info below will always apply (unless we make any tweaks in the future):

Basic Info Special Info
  • ONLY DEPLOYABLE IN-APP
  • Attracts up to 6 tPOBs over time
  • Stays on the map for 7 days
  • Automatically magnetized when 1st deployed
    • Is magnetizable afterwards
  •  Points:
    • Deploy: 250 points
    • Cap: 10 points + points for tPOBs in the PUB at the time of capture.
    • CapOn: 50 points
  • Can be capped once per player per 24 hour MHQ day
    • New tPOB landings do NOT refresh the capture setting
  • The regular tPOB timer is still in effect. If a tPOB times out, it leaves the PUB and an open spot becomes available for others
  • Players will see the base icon above for 0, but then a 1-6 as more tPOBs stop by

The deploy circle for tPOB Pub will be 4,000 feet (1219.2 m) from the nearest tPOB Pub. Capture radius is 1000 feet.

To access the tPOB Pub, turn on your Virtual filter and find it under “Destinations”. If the tPOB Pub is hosting munzees, it can also be visible with the “All Expiring Specials” filter.

From the period of Thursday, March 3rd at 12:00 MHQ through Sunday, March 6th at 23:59 MHQ, enjoy TRIPLE points on ALL physical and virtual Shamrocks!

Please note that the triple points only applies to the actual Shamrocks, not any scatters that may be triggered after their capture.

There is NO CODE required — the discount should apply automatically! It will be valid for the same time period as the triple points mentioned above.

Badges

There will be two badges to earn during this special event. They will require you to capture and deploy a certain number of Shamrocks. You can see the first badge below.

Pet Sham Rock- Deploy 1 Shamrock and capture 7 Shamrocks of any type during the 2022 Pre-Paddy’s Day Celebrations.

It’s up to you to figure out the requirements for the remaining badge! Cap and deploy as many Shamrocks as you can to set yourself up for success!

Universals are Back for our 10th Birthday!

When we were teasing the release of the 10th Birthday Mailbox, we asked what birthday-related things you were hoping to see. Some of you mentioned Universals, and we were happy to know that you were interested in them making a comeback as well, since one was already in the works! Get your all new 10th Birthday Universal HERE!

Similar to our thoughts with the Bash from the Past Universal, if you’ll be attending a 10th Birthday Event but don’t feel safe touching and scanning others’ Personal Tags, ask other attendees to share their Universal code (if they have one) online so you can scan it from your home. Of course, the same goes if you are not attending any events but want to join in on the fun virtually — play your way!

Universally United

Featuring some of the golden trophy designs used in the app during the past 10 years, it has the best of both Social and Personal Munzee functionality as other players can capture it from anywhere in the world AND activity on it will earn you points. However, as this makes it incredibly valuable, we are limiting it to 1 per player. You can find this limited edition Universal HERE!

This 10th Birthday Universal is a limited release item only available through August 2 at 10:00 MHQ.

A Universal has the same point structure as a regular Personal:

  • Capture: mystery random points 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45
  • CapOn: sum of 50 between player capture and residual
    • Example: player capture = 30, owner residual = 20. Total = 50
  • Deploy: 100 points (only deploy it once with no proximity or expiration!)
  • **Boosters will have no effect on Universal points.

You can find your Universal in the My Social Munzees section of the app, or the corresponding page on the website.

Unlike the Bash from the Past Universals, these 10th Birthday Universals will be auto-deployed upon purchase!

Surprise! A NEW Game Piece for A NEW Kind of Bash!

We may have had to cancel our annual MHQ Bash in Texas this year, but we’re still celebrating the only way we know how: BIG! We wanted to create something special to celebrate a worldwide virtual gathering in a new way, so we’re excited to announce the release of the Universal Munzee!

Like a combination between Social and Personal Munzees, the Universal will allow you to interact with your fellow players like never before. You can find out more about the product below, but first a little background!

Personable Personals

We LOVE events, AND WE LOVE Personal Tags! The two seem to go hand in hand. Personals come in so many colorful designs to collect, and it gives players something to talk about: you can learn a lot about your fellow players by the tags they’ve collected. We even have a special badge line highlighting this phenomenon!

That aspect to the game is definitely something we miss this year, and while players have used their creativity to host events that allow their attendees to still have fun while keeping a safe distance from each other, Personal Tags, unfortunately, do require you to be in close proximity of wherever they’re deployed. Enter the Universal Munzee!

Universally United 

Featuring the logo for this year’s theme, “Bash from the Past!“, it has the best of both Social and Personal Munzee functionality as other players can capture it from anywhere in the world AND activity on it will earn you points. To share your Universal Munzee QR code for others to capture, go to the Social Munzees list in your in-app profile and slide the entry to the left to reveal the [Show QR Code] button. You can take a screenshot of the code on your device, then send to others! Or you can always access and download the QR code from the website as well.

Bash From The Past!

We’ll have more information regarding this year’s celebration next week, but prepare for a trot down memory lane! MHQ Bash has become a staple over the last 6 years, so we thought what better way to celebrate 2020 than by looking back at years that were maybe a bit more stable!

The Universal is just the first announcement in regards to our Bash From The Past. Please indicate your intentions to participate in our global Bash on the Event Calendar. More information will be shared Monday about our plans for this annual celebration that we’re taking global this year!

New Places Munzees And Point Increase!

We’re happy to announce that we’ve extended the line of Places Munzees! Along with the current Places, we’ve added:

  • Hospital: to be placed at hospitals. Note that no animal hospitals or urgent care facilities will be accepted.
  • Post Office: to be placed at actual post offices, mailboxes will not be accepted.
  • Cemetery: to be placed at cemeteries, no funeral homes or crematoriums will be accepted.

Starting at 15:00 MHQ on Thursday July 26 the Hospital and Post Office Places Munzees will be for sale in the Freeze Tag Online Store. The Cemetery Places Munzees will first be released through the August Virtual MunzPak which will not be on sale until August 1 and then put on general sale September 1.

All of these new Places Munzees have a 1,000 ft capture radius, can be captured daily, but cannot be captured via Blasts. Reminder: Once submitted for deployment, Places Munzees must be verified by MHQ. Please allow up to 2 business days for approval before emailing support. You will receive an email with approval or rejection with a reason. Please see all details about Places Munzees in our help manual.

These new Places Munzees will be available for $10, and you can purchase one of each type per account every 30 days.

The release of these new Places will also include a point increase for all Places Munzees.

All current types of Places will be updated to:

  • Deploy- 40
  • Capture- 20
  • Cap On- 10

The point increase will be active starting at 15:00 MHQ on Thursday July 26.

Remember that all of these places Munzee’s will count toward the Places Munzee Capture and Streak badges as well so be sure to cap a Place every day!

Virtual Sale and Deploy Contest!

With our Birthday month more than halfway complete, we want to give you more gifts! In our minds the best way is to have a contest to Grow the Map in a few unique areas! Two of the areas have events taking place in the next 13 days, and the third is our California HQ (Freeze Tag Inc).

On Friday July 20 at 15:00 MHQ time members of our staff will randomly select 48 virtual munzees from the following three areas (16 from each map)*. The deployer of the selected munzees will receive a $10 gift card to use in the Freeze Tag store for any purchase**!

New Personal Tags and More!

It’s Father’s Day weekend in some parts of the world (including the US), and we’re kicking it off with some new Munzee store items any Dad would be happy to receive!

First off, we’re excited to announce that we’ve added new Personal Tags to the Online Store! While supplies last you can purchase two new Personal Tag designs, one featuring Places Munzee icons and another featuring a Father’s Day design, similar to the Mother’s Day tags we released last month.
