June 2019 Clan Wars Requirements

Clan Battle #75 with commence on June 3 at 00:01 MHQ time, with this month’s requirements based on keeping you active all month! We’ve spread the love to some different types and given you a mixture of rewards as well!

If you want to join a new clan or are interested in joining a clan for the first time, you can use our Clan Randomizer button to find a spot. Just be sure to act fast, because this option will only be available from 00:01 MHQ time June 1 through 23:59 MHQ time June 2. Dinner is Served with Korea Global Grub!

Chu ka he yo! Are you feeling hungry? Hopefully you’ve left some room in your stomach, because we have a brand new Global Grub hitting the map! Korea Global Grub will officially start bouncing around today at 15:00 MHQ time!

This time around we’re feeling extra generous with the servings, as FIVE Korea Global Grub Munzees will be deployed. This physical bouncer will bounce to Greenies every 12 hours or when captured.

Have you captured any of our tasty Global Grubs yet? We now have a number of them bouncing around the map, including Mexico, France, Thailand, and Australia. Players will earn a special badge containing a dish of food that is unique to the flag pin country each time a Global Grub is capped. Capturing a Korea Global Grub special will award you the following tasty badge:

If you’ve never treated yourself to Korean cuisine, there are so many dishes you need to try! However, kimchi has cemented its legacy as one of the most reliable staple dishes for traditional Korean dining. This side dish of salted and fermented vegetables that are finely seasoned is s great introductory meal to whet your taste buds. You can even pick up some cabbage and prepare it at home!

The Global Grub specials will bounce around the globe for the remainder of the year before leaving the map on 12/31/2019 at 23:59 MHQ time. You will have until then to try your luck capturing these very rare specials! We will also be putting out an overall capture line in the future, so make sure to stay turned for more exciting Global Grub updates!

Enjoy National Scavenger Hunt Day with FOUR New Specials!

Did someone say MOB?! That’s right, we did, and we are here to deliver! It just so happens that May 24 is National Scavenger Hunt Day. Hmm, can you think of any scavenger hunt games that you enjoy playing? It might be a good time for them to offer some specials… maybe in the form of FOUR brand new MOBs (Munzee Owned Bouncers) hitting the map on May 24 at 00:01 MHQ time!

We have an entire week of fun ahead! Prepare for our Scavenger Hunt Day specials arriving at midnight tonight (May 24 at 00:01 MHQ time) and lasting until May 31 at 23:59 MHQ time. If you have patiently been waiting for MOBs for Clan Wars requirements then you’re in luck! UPDATE: MOBs will be counted correctly for clan requirements at midnight tonight! These new specials feature all of the classic tools you’d need on a worldwide scavenger hunt.

Virtual Specials

To start things off, we are happy to announce two virtual specials hitting the map! You can enjoy 375 Compass Specials and 375 Telescope Specials bouncing to all colors of regular virtuals and Surprise Munzees every 6 hours or when captured.

Capture: 100 points
CapOn: 50 points

These virtual specials will not be blastable, but they will be attracted to Virtual Magnets. You can capture both the Compass Special and Telescope Special on your own munzees and on munzees that you have already captured.

Physical Specials

There will be 375 physical Magnifying Glass Specials and 375 Shovel Specials landing on the map as well! These physical MOBs will bounce to Greenies, Premium Munzees, Mystery Munzees, and all levels of Treasure Evolution Munzees every 6 hours or when captured.

CapOn: 50 points

The physical specials will be attracted to Physical Magnets on Greenies. You can capture the Magnifying Glass Special and Shovel Special on your own munzees and on munzees that you have already captured.

Badges

Will your sense of adventure and eye for excellence guide you to glory? Seeking out these specials will give you the chance to earn FOUR new badges featuring pieces of a treasure map! Think you can earn all four and complete the map? You can earn a new badge for each of the different Scavenger Hunt Day Specials you capture. Plus, you can pick up a bonus badge by capturing at least one of all four! So what are you waiting for?? Get hunting! Oh wait— we have one more bit of information you might want to hear first!

New MOB Specials Are Ready to Hit the Map!

Think you can handle a little more excitement? Since we announced the BETA launch of our PinPoints Loyalty Program, we have witnessed many players redeeming their hard-earned PinPoints for prizes of their choosing. We thought why not keep the celebration going with the introduction of our TWO PinPoints bouncing specials starting on May 10 at 00:01 MHQ time!

Both the physical and virtual PinPoints specials are Munzee Owned Bouncers (MOB) and they hit the map at midnight and stay on the map until May 20 at 23:59 MHQ time. You can learn more about each type below!

PinPoints Virtual Special

There will be a total of 50 PinPoints Virtual Specials. Even though there may not be as many as other specials they will be bouncing quick. The specials will bounce to all colors of regular virtuals every 4 hours or when captured. Each capture will reward you 100 points AND 2 PinPoints!

PinPoints Are Ready to be Redeemed in Our BETA Launch! Use Yours TODAY!

Today we are very happy to announce that PinPoints are officially ready to be used for the first time! That’s right, all of your patience has paid off! The PinPoints that many of you have acquired through April Clan Wars, ZEEster Egg specials, Pimedus caps, and the current May Clan Wars can now be used for rewards in the Freeze Tag Online Store! As of the publication of this post, the BETA version of our PinPoints system is officially LIVE!

We’re so excited to share PinPoints with players, but since this is our first wide test of the system, please bear with us as everyone joins! Kindly keep in mind that there might be a slight delay in your points showing up immediately due to the influx of people creating accounts today. Fortunately this is only a temporary issue that will not affect future PinPoints delivery as they are earned.

Before we reveal the remaining details of this exciting new program, we would like to thank all players for their patience throughout the PinPoints process. We understand that earning points without knowing the full nature of their value provided ample room for frustration. Hopefully the fact that many of you have already acquired PinPoints ready for use will justified this temporary inconvenience. We are constantly working to update Munzee and introduce positive new aspects to the gameplay experience to make it as fun and exciting as possible for our wonderful player community!

All About PinPoints

For those of you unaware, PinPoints are the credits players can earn as part of our brand new PinPoints Loyalty Program. They are also the new “store credit” that many players earned through April Clan Wars. PinPoints can currently be earned through Freeze Tag Online Store purchases, Clan War achievements, and certain munzee captures! We have plans to introduce additional ways to earn PinPoints in the near future.

PinPoints are redeemable for REAL products in the Freeze Tag Online Store! Eager to get started using them? We put together a comprehensive PinPoints Help Guide article to break down the process! The initial setup process involves a few steps, but once you set it up, it’s easy from there on out. Check out the Help Guide and this video to get your PinPoints account set up today!

We had the best of intentions of launching this program in April. Due to unforeseen delays, we have chosen to make some retroactive purchases count toward PinPoints. All purchases made in the Freeze Tag Online Store within the 3 days prior to setting up your account will earn retroactive PinPoints. The sooner you setup and link your account, the more possible PinPoints you can earn. However, please keep in mind that there might be an initial delay in these points showing up. Remember, any delay is temporary and simply due to an initial system overload.

Since this is a BETA launch, we’d like to ask for a bit of extra patience. Though it should take as little as a few minutes for your PinPoints to update, we kindly ask that for the time being you wait 24 hours before contacting support@munzee.com with any concerns regarding PinPoints earned. This will allow for any system overloads to be sorted out on their own so that the support inbox will not be flooded and player concerns can be handled in a timely manner. We thank you for your patience and understanding for any initial slowdown the launch might present!

PinPoints Rewards

We’re sure you’re wondering, just what can I buy with my PinPoints?! Ready to check out the awesome rewards? You can visit munzee.com/pinpointsrewards to see what is currently in rotation in the PinPoints store. Here you can also see what limits (if any!) there are on particular items. We will be updating the store on a semi-regular basis to remove certain items and add others, in order to provide exclusive shopping offers. The actual store pricing and availability is the final authority for all things as it may be updated quicker than the catalogue page.

Amongst many other reward options, players are able to redeem their PinPoints for Clan Weapon and ZeeCret Weapon munzees for the first time ever! Previously these items could only be earned through Clan Battles and ZeeOps Missions, respectively, so we are excited to offer more opportunity to acquire them through hard work! We know this will offer additional types on the map for capping fun around the world.

Another noteworthy feature of our PinPoints store is players may now earn an additional FIVE (5) of each Munzee Magnet type per month. This is on top of the normal 10 per 10 days limit! We hope this creates more opportunity for fun gameplay so that players can be rewarded for their noteworthy feats.

Think you can handle a little more exciting news? Perhaps you’ve noticed some new items in the store! They include a brand new Blast Capture 10-pack and Virtual Munzee 5-pack, which will now be available for PinPoints purchase! In addition, we will be launching a new item in the store as of the publication of this blog! You will now be able to purchase a Sapphire Munzee 5-pack! In other words, you can redeem your PinPoints for any of these three items or purchase them from the Freeze Tag Online Store and earn PinPoints for your purchases!

Cinco de Mayo Means Mexico Global Grub!

Feliz Cinco de Mayo! It’s the annual day of celebrating the Mexican Army’s underdog victory over France way back in 1862, though the date is often confused in the United States with being Mexico’s Independence Day. We’re happy to set the record straight while offering another of our Global Grub specials, with Mexico Global Grub hitting the map today at 15:00 MHQ time!

This virtual Global Grub special will join the ranks of current Global Grub Munzees, including Thailand, Switzerland, Australia, and China. Five Mexico Global Grub Munzees will be deployed. They will be bouncing to regular virtuals and colored virtuals every 12 hours or when captured.

Are you in the mood for a bowl of chili con carne? (We know we are!) This delicious dish offers a spicy meat stew brimming with chili peppers, tomatoes, beans, and plenty of spices. Toss in the garlic, onion, and cumin for a flavor punch! The good news is chili con carne is a very flexible dish, so feel free to tweak this hearty recipe to suit your personal preference!

LegaZeeOps- Operation: re:Launch (May 2019)

Agents, ZeeOps HQ’s system has been hacked and all of our files on past missions have been erased! You’ll have to recreate past Operations in what we’re calling LegaZeeOps. It’s up to you to keep the legacy of this organization in tact. The missions for this month are the same that were originally available in September 2017’s Operations.

The Mean Green Gang are desperately searching for rare jewels to power a secret weapon, and they must be stopped before completing their plan. It’s up to you to capture and deploy various Jewel Munzees and stop MGG before it’s too late!

May 2019 ZeeOps Operations are now live and you can begin planning your Missions to start on the following day. You can plan your Operations at munzee.com/ops/ and purchase more ZeeCred in the Freeze Tag Online Store. Remember that if you hit a snag at any point in your Operation you can use the Mission Mulligan feature to keep going!

Since this month’s requirements are focused on Jewels, you may want to stock up in the Freeze Tag store!

By completing any Operation this month you’ll earn the new* “LegaZeeOps- Operation: re:Launch” badge.

*All LegaZeeOps badges are different from the badge earned during the initial run of the month’s Operations. So players who earned the “Operation: re:Launch” badge can also earn the “LegaZeeOps- Operation: re:Launch” badge as well by completing an May 2019 Operation.

This month’s Missions are as follows:

Expert Training- Earn at least 50,000 points.
Intelligence Infiltration- Deploy at least 100 greenies.
Jumbling Jewels- Deploy at least 20 jewels.
The Emerald Cities- Capture at least 100 Emerald munzees.
Zee Only Hope- Capture at least 200 physical type munzees.

Completing Operations will give you some hard earned rewards as well.

Quick PinPoints Update!

Calling all Clans!

If you were paying attention you may have seen a test screen teased this afternoon, but remember patience is a virtue!

We know you’re all excited to learn more about PinPoints and what they mean for Clan Wars requirements in May. It also applies to one of your rewards (in store credit) from April Clan Wars. We’ve put together an FAQ about various aspects of this new loyalty program, which can be found on the Munzee Help Guide. We’re not revealing everything just yet, but this should hopefully give you an idea of what to expect.

May Resolutions Badge Details

How has 2019 been treating you so far? If it hasn’t been your year to shine, fear not, because there are still eight months left for positive growth and change! Our monthly Capture Streak Badges have been centered around a year of personal improvement, bringing us the resolution to eat healthy (January), make new friends (February), explore new hobbies (March), and get organized (April). Summer is fast approaching on the Northern Hemisphere, and our May Resolutions badge is to travel more!

Each month’s badge is dedicated to accomplishing a different New Year’s Resolution. Like our Super Streak badges, you will be awarded a badge if you capture at least one Munzee* each day for the entire month. Each month provides the opportunity to put your best foot forward, so if you’re new to the game or accidentally missed a day, there’s no time like the present to get started on your streaks!

Many people plan to travel, but then this crazy thing happens. Life gets in the way. Traveling can be a financial burden for many, and big vacations can often take years to plan and save up. However, you only get one life to live, and that life should be filled with happy adventure! Traveling doesn’t have to mean flying around the world; it can involve simply getting into your car and driving to a town nearby that you haven’t explored. It can even involve venturing to new places in your town!

Break the routine of prosaic living and allow yourself the chance to experience more of what the world has to offer. Traveling allows for the chance to experience new walks of life, expand your perspective, and meet new people along the way. Learn how to travel the smart way with budget friendly tips. Rather than rent expensive hotels, take advantage of room renting services, such as Airbnb, to save money. This will also allow you the opportunity to select lodging with a kitchen so that you can save money on dining out! Shopping local and preparing meals will save you a lot of money while away from home.

Many plan vacations for the summer, but traveling in the off-season is almost always a guaranteed way to save money. You can also cut down on expenses by traveling with friends or family, in order to split costs, or by traveling to where you know people. Though you might be tempted to stop for mementos, gift shops and general shopping should be avoided in order to save big bucks. The memories you make should be more than enough, and the less you purchase, the more you’ll be able to travel in the future. Lastly, always try to do some online searching pre-trip to scout out the best deals in the area you’re heading to.
