Pick Peaches and Pears from Earth Mystery Trees!

While fall is typically the season associated with a bountiful harvest, summer has its own delicacies to look forward to! Starting at 12:00 MHQ today, there’s a chance these new scatters will appear after capturing a Tree!

We’re also excited to announce new badges for capturing Tree Scatters. Our mouths are watering at the thought of stuffing our faces with caramelized pastries, whipped cream, and these flavorful fruits!

NEW Earth Mystery Tree Scatters

In March we introduced new scatters for the Earth Mystery, changing from Boulders to Trees. Trees are extra-special since they also release their own scatters once they are capped. It’s scatterception! We promised to introduce more scatters from Trees, so here they are, just in time for some syrupy summer desserts!

Like the Red Apples and Cherry Blossoms, Peaches and Pears are both worth 25 points for Capture. To clarify — Red Apples and Cherry Blossoms will remain as possible scatters for Trees, so you have a chance for any of the 4 types.

Are you excited to capture these juicy new pins? Check your map for any uncaptured Earth Mysteries near you! Don’t see any? Pick some up in our All The Mystery Pack and trade deploys with another local player or you can get 5 Earth credits in our new store item.

We’ve also created a new badge line based on captures of individual Tree scatters! You can check out the badge for Red Apple captures below, but remember since some of these types have been out longer than others the badge requirements won’t be the same for each!

These World Sushi Day Specials Are A Feast for the Eyes!

World Sushi Day specials are now live on the map for everyone and will remain available until July 8 at 23:59 MHQ. You can use the “All Expiring Specials” and “All Limited Edition Specials” filters to more easily view them on the map. There are quite a few different specials, so check out a breakdown of each below!

Sushi Ingredients

There will be 658 Sushi Ingredient Specials available for capture on the map — that breaks down to 80 of each type except for Puffer Fish, of which there are only 18. These are attracted to either Physical or Virtual Magnets depending on their type. None of these specials are blastable.

Landing Pads:

Bounce Times:

  • Rice: every hour
  • Nori: every 2 hours
  • Cucumber: every 3 hours
  • Fried Egg: every 4 hours
  • Prawn: every 5 hours
  • Salmon: every 6 hours
  • Roe: every 7 hours

Sushi Badges

There are two lines of badges related to Sushi Ingredient specials.

The first line is based on overall Sushi Ingredient captures. These badges will give you all of the tools you need for preparing sushi! The first badge in this line is a Rolling Mat earned by capping one Ingredient of any type!

The second line of badges is based on capping different combinations of Sushi Ingredient specials. Make sure to cap at least one of each special so you can try each type of roll!

Although you’ll be collecting Sushi Ingredients, you better leave the actual preparation to the experts!

Sushi Masters

In addition to the Sushi Ingredients there will also be three rare Sushi Master Specials bouncing around the map! There will be a total of 18 Sushi Master Specials available for capture — that breaks down to 6 of each type. More Sushi Masters may emerge if they pass inspection throughout this celebration! These are attracted to both Physical or Virtual Magnets on their respective landing pads. These are officially tPOBs on the Munzee account and are not blastable.

Complete Your Clan Wars Play Set With Trojan Unicorn Badges!

Last month, we announced the debut of the Trojan Unicorn and teased a new related badge line. The first Trojan Unicorns will be deployed soon (as long as players who’ve reached Level 3 collect their rewards!), so you’ll have a chance at earning these shiny new badges! Deploying a Trojan Unicorn will earn you the following badge:

To go along with this deploy badge, there are 6 capture badges to earn with an action-figure theme. These badges are for Trojan Unicorn captures, so be sure to track one down whenever it’s nearby! Think you can collect the whole set of CLAN WARS action figures? We won’t spoil all of the action figures, but you can check out the first badge in the line below:

Introducing the All NEW Poseidon Modern Myth Munzee!

All the activity that’s been brewing in the Munzee oceans has attracted the notice of the king of the sea, Poseidon! He kicks off an all new line of munzees that we’re calling Modern Myths, which our WallaBee friends should recognize!

Poseidon will be available for sale starting at 10:00 MHQ time today until 10:00 MHQ time on June 15th!

Poseidon Details

The Poseidon Modern Myth will be available for purchase HERE! He will be spotted bouncing around to Greenies, Water Mysteries, Blue Colored Virtuals*, Aquamarines, Treehouses, and Skylands every 12 hours or when capped.

Each Poseidon is numbered and will be owned by a Munzee player. You can pick this Myth up for $20! The sale is open to anyone regardless of other Mythological ownership. Only ONE (1) Poseidon is allowed per account.

Points

  • Deploy: 250
  • Capture: 200
  • CapOn: 100

What makes a Modern Myth modern? Well aside from his day job as a lifeguard, what also makes Poseidon unique is that when he is captured 3 new munzees will also be scattered nearby — these will either be Tridents or Lifebuoys!

These will scatter like feathers so there are no CapOn points but they are worth 50 points for capture!

Poseidon is able to be upgraded via a Bouncer Upgrade Credit, which gives the ability to be “nudged” or be renamed. The upgrade credit will give you the ability to “nudge” your Poseidon to a new munzee up to three times a day, following the MHQ 24-hour day, after it has been on its host munzee for at least three hours. This nudging ability is only available for the owner via the munzee’s webpage and is not available in the app.

Your munzee will still retain its unique number, but feel free to get creative when it comes to renaming your Poseidon! Just be sure to follow the Player Code of Conduct, and remember Munzee maintains a family-friendly environment.

If you’re hoping to cap one of these brand new Modern Myths, then you’re in luck! Poseidon will be attracted to Munzee Magnets and Virtual Munzee Magnets. You can access Poseidon by turning on your “Only Expiring Specials” and “Only Mythological” filters.

June 2020 MunzPak Contents Revealed!

We’ve been releasing a new tPOB in a few of this year’s MunzPaks, but since we announced the Trojan Unicorn just last week, we decided to shake things up a bit! This month, each Pak includes a NEW Evolution Munzee! These are the Turtle and Jellyfish munzees we’ve posted about earlier! We’re very excited to share these new types with you. NEW Evolutions Extend Our Aquatic Wildlife Collection!

We’ve been missing beautiful beach views, the sound of the waves, and glimpses of aquatic wildlife. While we may not be able to do anything in Munzee about the first two, we thought that it’s about time to add some new Evolution Munzees to our roster! Starting June 1 at 00:01 MHQ time, our brand new Turtle and Jellyfish Evolutions will be made available through the June MunzPak Subscriptions!

These NEW Evolution Munzees will be available in their corresponding MunzPak Subscriptions, sold in the Freeze Tag Online Store. However, keep in mind that if any MunzPak orders are placed before June 1 at 00:01 MHQ time, players will be receiving the May MunzPak. Both the Turtle and Jellyfish Evolutions are a combination of Physicals and Virtuals.

Turtle Evolution Munzees

Stages 1-4 of the Turtle Evos are Physical Munzees, while Stage 5 Turtles will bounce to both physical and virtual landing pads.

The 5 stages of the Turtle Evolution are as follows:

  • Stage 1: Turtle Egg
  • Stage 2: Turtle Hatchling
  • Stage 3: Juvenile Turtle
  • Stage 4: Adult Turtle
  • Stage 5: Turtle (3 Variants)
    • Sea Turtle
    • Snapping Turtle
    • Taekwondo Tortoise- RARE VARIANT!

Jellyfish Evolution Munzees

Stages 1-4 of the Jellyfish Evos are Virtual Munzees, while Stage 5 Jellyfish will bounce to both physical and virtual landing pads.

The 5 stages of the Jellyfish Evolution are as follows:

  • Stage 1: Jellyfish Planula Larva
  • Stage 2: Jellyfish Polyp
  • Stage 3: Jellyfish Bulbed Polyp
  • Stage 4: Jellyfish Ephyra Larva
  • Stage 5: Jellyfish (3 Variants)
    • Box Jellyfish
    • Golden Jellyfish
    • PB & Jellyfish- RARE VARIANT

Evolution Timeline

The stage timeline of the Turtle and Jellyfish Evolutions will match that of the Butterfly Evolution. The stages will be as follows:

  • Stage 1 to Stage 2: after 4 days
  • Stage 2 to Stage 3: after 14 days
  • Stage 3 to Stage 4: after 10 days
  • Stage 4 to Stage 5: permanent until reset to stage one

Once these Evolutions reach Stage 4, a temporary POB will be launched. For example, if you’ve deployed a Turtle Evolution, the Juvenile Turtle will remain in place, while the adult Turtle variant will be launched at the same time for the duration of its “lifespan.” Likewise, if you’ve deployed a Jellyfish Evolution, the Jellyfish Bulbed Polyp will remain in place, while the Jellyfish variant will be launched at the same time for the duration of its “lifespan.”

Once these Evolutions reach Stage 5, they will stay in place for 8 hours or when captured, and will not be able to be nudged. Once 10 captures or 42 days have elapsed for Stage 5, the Turtle or Jellyfish will be archived.

The first four stages of the Turtle and Jellyfish Evolutions will be the same for all players. However, Stage 5 will have the option of emerging as one of the three different species listed above. Like the Flower Evolutions, the chance of the Turtle or Jellyfish Evolution evolving to one of the 3 types changes every time it is reset with the Evolution Reset Credit.

Using an evolution reset credit will set your Evolution back to Stage 1, for a chance for the Turtle or Jellyfish to evolve to a different species at Stage 5. Although you cannot capture a reset evolution if you have already captured the original from stages 1-4, you CAN capture the final level of a reset when it evolves and releases a new tPOB. An easy way to know is, if you see it on the map you can capture it!

Please note that although the first four stages for each are the same, they will count as different special capture icons. Like all Player Owned Bouncers (POBs), the Turtle and Jellyfish Evolutions will be available for multi-capture only as the Level 5 Turtle or Level 5 Jellyfish, respectively.

Points and Landing Pads

The points for the Turtle and Jellyfish Evolutions will be as same as the Butterfly Evolution, with 100 points awarded per Stage 1 deploy.

  • Stage 1: Cap: 50, CapOn: 30
  • Stage 2: Cap: 40, CapOn: 20
  • Stage 3: Cap: 45, CapOn: 25
  • Stage 4: Cap: 40, CapOn: 30
  • Stage 5: Cap: 150, CapOn: 50, Host CapOn: 50

Just like real life turtles and jellyfish, the Turtle and Jellyfish Evolution Munzees sometimes swim to dangerous areas including predator filled waters, and high-speed roadways! Bouncing Turtle and Jellyfish Evos will be attracted to the following landing pads:

The Turtle and Jellyfish Evolutions will adhere to normal proximity rules. Stage 1 deploys must be at least 50 feet from any other physical type and 150 feet from your own physical munzees. Stages 1-4 are blastable.

Stage 5 of the Turtle and Jellyfish Evos will be attracted to Munzee Magnets and Virtual Magnets. They are NOT blastable. To access the Turtle and Jellyfish Evolution Munzees, turn on your “Evolution” and “All Expiring Specials” filters. The Turtle and Jellyfish Evolutions will count toward Evolution Capture and Deploy badges.

The full contents of the June MuzPak Subscriptions will be revealed on Monday. We hope this latest Evolution has you ready to dive into summer (in the northern hemisphere) in the meantime!

Event Spotlight: Munzee Mania 2019

While Munzee can certainly be a solo game if you choose, there’s no denying the appeal in meeting others who share your interests. Munzee Events are perhaps the best example of this, as they allow you to meet both old and new players in a safe, friendly environment. On top of that, there are usually activities, games, and — if you’re lucky — goodie bags! That being said, planning events requires a considerable amount of effort. So, to make it easier for prospective hosts (and maybe even recurring hosts), we decided to put the spotlight on past events, Munzee-Toolkit style! We hope this series of posts will inspire you to try hosting an event if you never have before, or provide you with ideas to spice up future events if you’re an old hand at it!

Today we’re featuring the Munzee Mania 2019 event, which took place on May 4, 2019 at Eagan, MN and was hosted by loeschfamily, valsey, GreenHeron, and Wrasln.

Munzee Mania is an annual series of events that typically takes place in May every year.

June 2020 Clan Wars Requirements

It’s almost June! You’ll find all the details to our clan requirements and rewards in the clan section of our app. It is possible that we could update clan requirements prior to June 3 and reserve the right to do so. The final requirements and rewards will be in the app, and will be updated here if anything changes before June 3rd. As with the previous months changes could be made based on how situations continue to change worldwide based on COVID-19.

We believe much of the lower levels can still be completed from the comfort of your home, which may be required in your local area. Some clans may have to choose not to go for levels they have achieved in the past. Some players may have to choose to play in new clans, or not at all for upcoming months. We understand the world is in a state of not knowing what the next days, weeks, or months will look like. We will continue to provide opportunities for ALL players to play Munzee their way, while also following our code of conduct.

If Clan Wars won’t work for you this month we hope you will join us for ZeeOps which will be announced on the 31st and begin June 1. We may also have a GLOBAL EVENT taking place during the month of June with deploys for you to find and capture from home. Eventzee may also host a fun photo scavenger hunt!

June Badges

Your Clan can earn monthly badges to earn for reaching distinct levels of Clan Wars each month. You won’t be able to earn a badge until the entire clan has reached the specified level. Since there is NO Level X this month, there will be a total of 5 badges available in June. The first badge will appear as follows:

Trojan Unicorn Details

Trojan Unicorns are temporary POBs that bounce to both physical and virtual munzees. For this month, they will be deployed on your account when you claim your Level 3 Clan Wars rewards. The Trojan Unicorns will stay on the map until 23:59 MHQ on the last day of Clan Wars each month when they are earned, when they will be archived on your account. If you do not claim during the month they are earned it will be archived immediately. Since this is the first month this process could take a bit longer so we thank you in advance for your patience. If you’ve ever deployed a Butterfly or Frog Evolution munzee, these will behave similarly with a few exceptions.

The points for Trojan Unicorns are as follows:

  • Deploy: 200 points
  • Capture: 200 points
  • CapOn: 50 points

In addition, capping a Trojan Unicorn will cause three temporary virtual Flaming Arrows to scatter nearby. You’ll receive 50 points for each arrow you capture!

You can find these iconic vehicles bouncing to the following landing pads every 3 hours or when captured:

  • All Clan Weapons
    • Mace
    • Longsword
    • Battle Axe
    • Hammer
    • Crossbow
    • Catapult

Trojan Unicorns will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture a Trojan Unicorn on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Trojan Unicorn visits you. However, Trojan Unicorns will be non-blastable and non-magnetizable. You can access Trojan Unicorns under the “All Expiring Specials” and “All Own Clan” filters.

Trojan Unicorn Badges will be released soon with any additional details prior to the first day clans are eligible to earn them, June 16th.

Overall Clan Notes

Please keep in mind Levels 4 & 5 are considered advanced gameplay and not recommended for brand new players. Be aware when allowing new players to join your clans. MHQ will not remove players mid-month from clans unless it is a disciplinary action.

Bouncer captures include any POB, MOB, or TOB (even the temporary POB)

*Mystery points include all Cap, Deploy, and CapOn for ALL mystery types. (Mystery, Ice, Fire, Water, Earth, Electric, Air) — this does NOT include scatters from these types
**Clan War Card is a new limited edition greeting card. It will follow all the same points and rules as other Limited Edition greeting cards.

Physical points include all Cap, Deploy, and CapOn for ALL Physical types.
Deploy points are for all types excluding Personals.
Total points include Cap, Deploy, and CapOn of all types.
Flat friends points include all Cap, Deploy, and CapOn for flat Rob, flat Matt, flat Lou, and flat Hammock. Fancy Flat Rob and Fancy Flat Matt are NOT included in flat friends points.

Social and Personal will not count for Deploy requirements.
Social will not count for total Capture requirements.
Personal will not count for Physical points of any sort. It is not a true physical munzee.

Hints for how to play during Stay Home orders:
Use the swap feature for brand new virtual deploys.
Use the online map to deploy virtuals worldwide or find gardens to deploy in on social media groups.
Watch the online store for sales during the month to help meet your goals.
Use evolution reset credits to get new CapOn points from OLD deploys (they do NOT count as new deploys)

And finally, be responsible. If your local government, your health, or any circumstances require you to Stay Home – DO NOT participate. It is up to each of us to determine what is safe and what is allowed. This is a game and not worth risking your own live or the lives of others.
