Well, soon is a very vague term, and since then, we have released Water AND Air Mysteries! So, excuse our tardiness, but we’re happy to announce some new badges lines are coming out in the near future. To kick things off, we’ve gotten in touch with our roots for some awesome Earth Mystery Munzee badges!
You can now earn badges for deploying and capturing Earth Mystery Munzees. All of these badges will be retroactive and don’t forget that when you cap Earth Mysteries they turn on Recycles, which also have their own badge line. You can purchase Earth Mystery Munzees in the online store.

August has rolled around, and we’re excited about everything that is happening. Rob and Matt will be out of the office a few times this month, so that means their Flat counterparts will be on the map! Below are the current schedules for them:

Both Rob and Matt are still on the lookout for events to attend, so keep an eye out for more dates that may be added!
When we released Munzee 3.0 in 2015, we added the ability for players to add pictures at location of Munzees. So for nearly two years our players have gathered quite the collection of photos while munzeeing. Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to see all of those photos in one collected place? Well you’re in luck!
We’re proud to announce that you can now access a photo gallery of images you have taken and attached to Munzees! To access a player’s gallery just go to their online profile and click “More” to access the photo gallery. There you can scroll through and check out some of their greatest hits!
Can you feel the attraction? We’re proud to announce a new gameplay feature called Magnets!
These brand new items are temporary credits you can use to attract Seasonal Specials and Mythological Munzees for a set amount of time. It’s easy, you just Magnetize a greenie of your choosing and that munzee will then attract up to 3 specials or myths for up to one hour! The magnet expires at the end of the hour or after the 3rd capture.
Think of it like a temporary shamrock or elemental that also attracts seasonal specials like the Birthday Comic Book specials. So now if you live in a less populated Munzee area you can increase your chances of capping specials and myths!
Magnetizing a munzee from the app is easy!
Choose the Greenie you want to magnetize.
Go to the Munzee Details page.
Click on the three dots icon in the upper righthand corner.
Click “Magnetize” and confirm.
Wait for the fun to begin!
You can also Magnetize a munzee from the web!
Go to munzee.com/map
Click on the munzee you want to Magnetize and go to the Munzee’s page
Scroll down and on the lower righthand side is a button that say “Magnetize”
Click confirm and go find that Munzee!

A few things to note:
There is a limit of 10 magnets per player account purchased per 10 days.
When a Magnetized munzee brings a special or a myth anyone can cap it, so be quick or be nice and share with friends!
You’ll be able to Magnetize munzees you have already capped as well as your own munzees since you can cap specials on those.
You can see how many Magnets you have on the Credits page of the app or web.
Magnets will go on sale in August. Premium Members can expect some magnetic attraction next month too.
Magnet credits are currently exclusive to Physical MunzPak subscribers until they go on sale next month. You’ll receive ten Munzee magnets in your July Physical MunzPak subscription so if you haven’t signed up do it NOW!
Even though the Magnets are currently exclusive to MunzPak subscribers, it’s our birthday so we wanted to share the love a bit. Event hosts who are throwing Munzee Birthday party packages will also have the opportunity to buy Magnets to be used at their events. This will help bring some fun for your Event guests! You need to email Louise if you are interested in adding these to your event but remember she is cycling this weekend so don’t expect an immediate response.

With a lot more space for fun activities in MHQ 3.0, we’ve set up an awesome podcast studio! We figured we should probably get around to using it though, so what better time than for some Birthday Month announcements? We had a few technical difficulties at the beginning (give us a break, it’s been a while since we’ve done this!) but the audio quality gets a lot better about 40 seconds in.
New Features/Fixes:
– We’ve added an in-app ZeeOps dashboard to track your operations.
– The main menu now features accompanying icons for all entries.
– Badge details now show the original description even after a badge has been earned.
– The coin discover request popup will now only show as toast message (transparent at the bottom) when not on the coins page.
– Improved scanner (focus issues for some phones are fixed)
– Minor fixes and improvements
While the app has been made live in the app stores, there may be a delay in the propagation to your area. Please be patient if you don’t see it yet.

It’s the end of the month and with everything going on we wanted to make sure our Premium Members felt a little love. In May we released Premium Munzee Badges to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the program and now we’re happy to offer some more freebies to our players.
We’re pleased to announce that Munzee Premium Members will receive one free Timeshare Munzee credit and one free Flat Matt Munzee tomorrow at 12:00 MHQ. EDIT: This is a one-time only bonus for current Premium Members. It will not be added to future Premium Membership purchases.
You should see both credits in your account tomorrow at noon, which is also when both Timeshares and Flat Matts go on sale in the Munzee Online Store.
We’re also excited to announce that starting now Premium Members will begin receiving 10 ZeeCred a month to go toward ZeeOps operations. These will be awarded on the 15th of each month.

To celebrate World Turtle Day on May 23rd, we’re excited to announce new turtle specials will be crawling to the map! These shell-shocking specials go live May 19th at 00:01 MHQ and will stay until May 28th at 23:59 MHQ.
These 1200 turtle specials will bounce on greenies every six hours or when capped, and you can cap them on your own munzees! You’ll earn 23 points for capping a turtle and the owner of the munzee will earn 17 points for CapOn.
You’ll also earn this totally tubular tortoise badge for capping one of these specials.
We have also released a new version of the Specials Map which allows you to filter what specials you can see so be sure to check it out before chasing after these turtles!
World Turtle Day was started in 2000 by the American Tortoise Rescue to raise awareness and respect for turtles and tortoises, and encourage human action to help them survive and thrive. In connection with our Safar-Zee charity special Munzee encourages our players to show respect for wildlife of all sorts.

It’s been three month’s since the Faun Mythological Munzee introduced the Classical Mythology set of munzees and began guiding players around the world on their quests. Some members of Team Munzee were in search of the Fountain of Youth and found another Mythological Munzee that was not helpful at all. In fact, this new beast stands guard to protect the Fountain. This Mythological Munzee is the Hydra.
On Wednesday, May 17th at 15:00 MHQ time, 1,500 Hydra Mythological Munzees will be available in the Munzee Online Store for $20.00. Like the Faun before it, each player is limited to one (1) Hydra Munzee per account, and the sale is open to anyone regardless of other Mythological ownership.
There will also be Hydra Munzee decals available, as well as Yeti and Faun Munzee decals, at that time.

Description: The Hydra Munzee bounces on greenies every 12 hours or when captured. Each is numbered and owned by a Munzee player. Only 1 Hydra Munzee is allowed per account. You will also earn the Hydra badge for owning a Hydra Munzee.
With this month’s Clan Wars fully underway we’re excited to announce a new line of badges for capturing Clan Weapon Munzees! This awesome line features some great artwork by our newest Team Munzee member- John Rogeles!
