Pick Peaches and Pears from Earth Mystery Trees!

While fall is typically the season associated with a bountiful harvest, summer has its own delicacies to look forward to! Starting at 12:00 MHQ today, there’s a chance these new scatters will appear after capturing a Tree!

We’re also excited to announce new badges for capturing Tree Scatters. Our mouths are watering at the thought of stuffing our faces with caramelized pastries, whipped cream, and these flavorful fruits!

NEW Earth Mystery Tree Scatters

In March we introduced new scatters for the Earth Mystery, changing from Boulders to Trees. Trees are extra-special since they also release their own scatters once they are capped. It’s scatterception! We promised to introduce more scatters from Trees, so here they are, just in time for some syrupy summer desserts!

Like the Red Apples and Cherry Blossoms, Peaches and Pears are both worth 25 points for Capture. To clarify — Red Apples and Cherry Blossoms will remain as possible scatters for Trees, so you have a chance for any of the 4 types.

Are you excited to capture these juicy new pins? Check your map for any uncaptured Earth Mysteries near you! Don’t see any? Pick some up in our All The Mystery Pack and trade deploys with another local player or you can get 5 Earth credits in our new store item.

We’ve also created a new badge line based on captures of individual Tree scatters! You can check out the badge for Red Apple captures below, but remember since some of these types have been out longer than others the badge requirements won’t be the same for each!

Tomorrow is the solstice and the official changing of seasons! We thought it might be fun to celebrate with these Open Edition cards so that they can be deployed when appropriate for where you’re from!

These World Sushi Day Specials Are A Feast for the Eyes!

World Sushi Day specials are now live on the map for everyone and will remain available until July 8 at 23:59 MHQ. You can use the “All Expiring Specials” and “All Limited Edition Specials” filters to more easily view them on the map. There are quite a few different specials, so check out a breakdown of each below!

Sushi Ingredients

There will be 658 Sushi Ingredient Specials available for capture on the map — that breaks down to 80 of each type except for Puffer Fish, of which there are only 18. These are attracted to either Physical or Virtual Magnets depending on their type. None of these specials are blastable.

Landing Pads:

Bounce Times:

  • Rice: every hour
  • Nori: every 2 hours
  • Cucumber: every 3 hours
  • Fried Egg: every 4 hours
  • Prawn: every 5 hours
  • Salmon: every 6 hours
  • Roe: every 7 hours
  • Tuna: every 8 hours
  • Puffer Fish: every 9 hours

Points:

  • Capture: 80
  • CapOn: 18

Sushi Badges

There are two lines of badges related to Sushi Ingredient specials.

The first line is based on overall Sushi Ingredient captures. These badges will give you all of the tools you need for preparing sushi! The first badge in this line is a Rolling Mat earned by capping one Ingredient of any type!

The second line of badges is based on capping different combinations of Sushi Ingredient specials. Make sure to cap at least one of each special so you can try each type of roll!

Although you’ll be collecting Sushi Ingredients, you better leave the actual preparation to the experts!

Sushi Masters

In addition to the Sushi Ingredients there will also be three rare Sushi Master Specials bouncing around the map! There will be a total of 18 Sushi Master Specials available for capture — that breaks down to 6 of each type. More Sushi Masters may emerge if they pass inspection throughout this celebration! These are attracted to both Physical or Virtual Magnets on their respective landing pads. These are officially tPOBs on the Munzee account and are not blastable.

Complete Your Clan Wars Play Set With Trojan Unicorn Badges!

Last month, we announced the debut of the Trojan Unicorn and teased a new related badge line. The first Trojan Unicorns will be deployed soon (as long as players who’ve reached Level 3 collect their rewards!), so you’ll have a chance at earning these shiny new badges! Deploying a Trojan Unicorn will earn you the following badge:

To go along with this deploy badge, there are 6 capture badges to earn with an action-figure theme. These badges are for Trojan Unicorn captures, so be sure to track one down whenever it’s nearby! Think you can collect the whole set of CLAN WARS action figures? We won’t spoil all of the action figures, but you can check out the first badge in the line below:

Everything is Crystal Clear With These 20/20 Vision Munzees!

These days, you might be doing a lot of online window shopping, especially if you’ve had the time to tidy up your house recently, and have things in bags ready to donate! Perhaps your attentions have been caught by something sparkly and shiny, awakening the hoarder dragon within you? Our eleventh 20/20 Vision Munzee will give you the ability to see the smallest imperfections! These precise jewel-appraising tools were deployed this afternoon at 15:00 MHQ. Have you ever seen one of these being used?

Only six Jeweler Loupes will be deployed, and they will bounce to Greenies every 12 hours or when captured. These will be attracted to Physical Magnets though so be sure to stock up! 

Points:

  • Cap: 200 points
  • CapOn (Host): 100 points

Capturing the Jeweler Loupe will add this shiny Bright Eye badge to your collection! Remember, down the line we’ll be putting out an overall capture line, so don’t forget to check back for updates!

Why are these tools called “loupes”? Those who’ve studied the French language at a basic level might remember the word “loup,” which means “wolf” in English — but those words are not connected at all. However, “loupe” is French in origin! If you know a bit more French, you know that the French word “loupe” means “magnifying glass” in English, which makes much more sense. The word originally meant something closer to “imperfect gem,” but as you can see, its usage has evolved to refer to the item used to examine such objects.

You’ll be able to capture the 20/20 Vision specials on other players’ munzees as well as your own for the remainder of the year! As a reminder, all 20/20 Vision specials will leave the map on 12/31/2020 at 23:59 MHQ. More unique 20/20 Vision specials will launch throughout the year so keep on the lookout — you won’t want to miss out on these bouncing bifocals!

Introducing the All NEW Poseidon Modern Myth Munzee!

All the activity that’s been brewing in the Munzee oceans has attracted the notice of the king of the sea, Poseidon! He kicks off an all new line of munzees that we’re calling Modern Myths, which our WallaBee friends should recognize!

Poseidon will be available for sale starting at 10:00 MHQ time today until 10:00 MHQ time on June 15th!

Poseidon Details

The Poseidon Modern Myth will be available for purchase HERE! He will be spotted bouncing around to Greenies, Water Mysteries, Blue Colored Virtuals*, Aquamarines, Treehouses, and Skylands every 12 hours or when capped.

Each Poseidon is numbered and will be owned by a Munzee player. You can pick this Myth up for $20! The sale is open to anyone regardless of other Mythological ownership. Only ONE (1) Poseidon is allowed per account.

  • Deploy: 250
  • Capture: 200
  • CapOn: 100

What makes a Modern Myth modern? Well aside from his day job as a lifeguard, what also makes Poseidon unique is that when he is captured 3 new munzees will also be scattered nearby — these will either be Tridents or Lifebuoys!

These will scatter like feathers so there are no CapOn points but they are worth 50 points for capture!

Poseidon is able to be upgraded via a Bouncer Upgrade Credit, which gives the ability to be “nudged” or be renamed. The upgrade credit will give you the ability to “nudge” your Poseidon to a new munzee up to three times a day, following the MHQ 24-hour day, after it has been on its host munzee for at least three hours. This nudging ability is only available for the owner via the munzee’s webpage and is not available in the app.

Your munzee will still retain its unique number, but feel free to get creative when it comes to renaming your Poseidon! Just be sure to follow the Player Code of Conduct, and remember Munzee maintains a family-friendly environment.

If you’re hoping to cap one of these brand new Modern Myths, then you’re in luck! Poseidon will be attracted to Munzee Magnets and Virtual Munzee Magnets. You can access Poseidon by turning on your “Only Expiring Specials” and “Only Mythological” filters.

Deploying Poseidon will earn you the following badge:

All captures will count toward the Myth Collectors badge line. There is also a line of hidden Capture badges that you can earn for Poseidon captures, with 3 badges currently available, but more to come! The first in this line will appear as follows:

June 2020 MunzPak Contents Revealed!

We’ve been releasing a new tPOB in a few of this year’s MunzPaks, but since we announced the Trojan Unicorn just last week, we decided to shake things up a bit! This month, each Pak includes a NEW Evolution Munzee! These are the Turtle and Jellyfish munzees we’ve posted about earlier! We’re very excited to share these new types with you. You can find a breakdown below!

MunzPak is a monthly subscription service that delivers munzees directly to your door! ZeeOps- Operation: Smorgasbord (June 2020)

Agents, the process of cleaning the infected files in our databases seems to be going well! We announced last month that we were able to stop the virus’s spread, and now, a month later, that still rings true. Every day, we get closer and closer to a fully recovered HQ!

However, as you know, our work is never over. In the midst of all this, we’ve been receiving seemingly garbled transmissions from an unknown entity. In the case that these transmissions may be trying to inject rogue code into our systems, our engineers have been put to task on decoding them in a safe, staging environment. We will notify you if the engineers discover any relevant information to your tasks. For now, all remaining agents are tasked with completing more missions involving Fire and Ice munzees, Evolution munzees, and Gaming munzees to complete the file-cleaning process. To make the mission details more secure we’ve placed them on pages that are only accessible with your agent login, as you’ll see below.

June 2020 ZeeOps Operations are now live and you can begin planning your Missions to start on the following day. You will only have until June 30th at 23:59 MHQ to complete this month’s Operations. All four Operation types are available for this month- the Basic Op (3 days), the Advanced Op (7 days), the Mega Op (10 days), and the Ultra Op (14 days)!

You can plan your Operations at munzee.com/ops/ and purchase more ZeeCred in the Freeze Tag Online Store. Remember that if you hit a snag at any point in your Operation you can use the Mission Mulligan feature to keep going!

By completing any Operation this month you’ll earn the “Operation: Smorgasbord” badge.
