We’re back this year with our Dodgy Jumper Competitions, and they’ve been great so far! Below are winners from events that hosts chose or players voted on. (We may also add some honorable mentions, such as hosts who couldn’t win.) We’ll be updating the gallery as more events happen!

Deadline for Christmas Party Artwork

The planning stages for Christmas Parties are in full swing, and Louise and Trish are hard at work getting everything ready. We want everyone to be able to have the artwork they want for their events, but we do need to provide ample time for completion.

For events during the first weekend of December, art requests must be submitted by Friday, November 4th at 23:59 MHQ time. For all other Christmas Parties, requests must be submitted no later than Friday, November 11th at 23:59 MHQ time. You can submit these requests by contacting louise@munzee.com after you’ve submitted your event to the calendar. Following that date, only generic artwork options will be available for badges and icons. All packages will still be available.

Don’t miss out on getting custom artwork for your Christmas Party! We’re excited to see all of the great designs Trish makes for you!

2016 Munzee Christmas Parties!

Hello my lovely hosts, it’s that time of year again – time to plan your Munzee Christmas Parties! Last year was fantastic, there were so many great events all over the world. Let’s do it again!

First step is to get your event on the calendar and think about what you’d like to have included. Prices are as normal but various packages are available which unlock certain host badges. Christmas Parties are for the whole of December and every package includes a Christmas Party Attendee Badge and some surprises.

Just like the unicorns helped us celebrate the birthday events, the reindeer will be getting involved in the Christmas parties.  Here are the packages:

  • The Prancer – Basic event and no proximity restrictions – $30
  • The Dancer – The Prancer plus 5 mystery virtuals – $35
  • The Vixen – The Dancer plus badge and icon – $135
  • The Rudolph – The Vixen plus Eventzee – $185

Father Christmas is bound to make another visit… if you’d like to have a rummage in his bag please request the Santa’s Sack option for $20, this gives every attendee a free credit item.

Don’t forget to dig out your Dodgy Jumpers again too, a badge and a spot in the gallery is up for grabs at each event. The host just needs to email me with the winner!

Don’t forget to leave plenty of time for artwork, get those requests in ASAP please. We will move to generic art options when the Trish’s diary is full and we will communicate that nearer the time. Really looking forward to hearing from you and having some fun!

Christmas Generics:

There was some confusion regarding items in the December MunzPak. Included in this MunzPak were 5 Christmas-themed generics. When you deploy all 5 of these, you will receive the Merry MunzPak badge as a thank you for being a subscriber and growing the map! If you’ve deployed all 5 and haven’t gotten the badge, or if you have an issue, please contact us at orders@munzee.com.

MunzPak Emails:

If you have, at any point, unsubscribed from any Munzee emails using the “Unsubscribe” button at the bottom of them, you will NOT receive emails from us any longer. If you wish to resubscribe, or if you haven’t been getting emails but have never unsubscribed, please contact us.

A Thank You Gift:

We’re always trying to find ways to thank our players for supporting and growing the game. As a thank you for being a MunzPak subscriber, we’re going to have an exclusive 2X Point Weekend! If you have a MunzPak order process during the month of December, you will be awarded double points between January 15, 2016 at 00:01 through January 17, 2016 at 23:59 MHQ time. It’s Beginning to Feel A Lot Like Christmas…Kind Of

RobTreeIt’s December, and we’re getting into the Christmas spirit here at MHQ. We’ve got a slight problem, though. We’ve got two Christmas trees with no ornaments, and we need your help! If you’d like to participate, download this ornament template, fill it in with your design, and email it back to us! We’ll print them out, and on December 21st, we’ll show off our decorated trees!

Please email your completed designs you iloveyou@munzee.com with the subject “Christmas Tree Ornaments” so we can keep track of them all!

The Christmas Parties Are Beginning!

So here we are, it’s December! The Munzee Christmas Parties start tomorrow. We are very excited about everything planned. What a fantastic Munzee Community we have. There are 24 events just in the next 7 days! Don’t forget to check the calendar at https://calendar.munzee.com/ to see if there is one near you! If there isn’t, don’t worry, it’s not too late to host one yourself. Add it to the calendar or contact me directly at louise@munzee.com if you are having difficulties.

I have some important information relating to some of the features of the Christmas Parties, these two points are for all attendees to all parties:

  • Be sure to capture the Event Indicator Munzee at the event you attend. Your host has the code. This not only gives you the Event Indicator special icon, it will also give you the Christmas Party Attendee badge and a little surprise from Father Christmas.
  • Be sure to wear your best festive gear if you would like a chance at winning the Dodgy Jumper competition. Hosts will be submitting a player name and photo after the event. That player and the hosts will get the Dodgy Jumper badge. Hosts: just because you will be getting the badge for nominating someone else doesn’t mean you don’t have to make an effort!

Most events have taken the Lucky Dip option. This is a $20 add on that turns a specified Munzee into a magic Munzee that gives a credit item from the past, present or future every time it is capped. If you would like to add this to your event, please let me know ASAP.

Lastly, I would like to thank you all for your support with events. Your enthusiasm and efforts involved in them as hosts and attendees is fantastic and I look forward to growing the game, the map and the community even more with you all. Have a wonderful time this month and I can’t wait to hear all about it and see all those dodgy pictures!!

Cut Off Date for Customised Christmas Events

We’ve been overwhelmed with the response for Christmas Party events. The amount of submissions is requiring us to make a cut off date so that all requested customised badges and icons can be completed in time. No further submissions for customised badges and icons for December will be accepted after 17:00 CST tomorrow, November 4th.

 

We have, however, drawn up generic badges and icons that can be customised with event names so that hosts can still be in for the Artful Dodger and/or Full Turkey Dinner levels. We want to make sure we provide the best service possible, so please contact Louise straight away if you’re interested in fully customised artwork for your December event.

 

Also, it seems some event submissions aren’t going through correctly, so if you have attempted to contact us for an event and haven’t heard back, please email Louise directly at louise@munzee.com so she can get your request in before the cut off time.

Munzee Gift Specials are on the map NOW!

Uh oh-GiftBlue_128 looks like Santazee lost a few presents on his test flight across the world! As some of our more attentive players have noticed, specials gift icons have started to pop up across the map and it’s up to you to cap them before the winter holidays are over. There are 500 gift specials around the map which bounce if not capped after 6 hours. Once captured, 25 points will be split between owner and capper, with a minimum of 5 points each. If you cap a gift you’ll even get to open it and get yourself a nifty Snow Globe Badge!

These presents will be on the map throughout the month, so be sure to capture them while you can! Check out www.munzee.com/gifts for a map showing where the nearest gift is to you. Santa also has a few more test flights before the big day, so keep your eye out for any other drops. Expect the unexpected and Happy holidays!Xmas2014_720
