Last week, we released Greeting Cards and have been loving your excitement about them! The map has never looked better, as it’s dotted with these colorful confetti-like pins!

We are happy to announce 2 NEW Greeting Cards are now available for purchase! You can pick up Greeting Cards from the Freeze Tag Online Store HERE. You receive multiple munzees from your single purchase. Read the details in the store, or see below.

We have 1 new Open Edition card and 1 new Limited Edition card for your deploying pleasure!

Now you can show your appreciation for someone who has lent a helping hand with the Thank You Greeting Card.

Don’t forget to edit the title and the notes to add a personal touch! While the capture message will contain your Munzee username as all Greeting Card capture messages do, we think typing in a more specific thank-you note or your best joke (respectively) will go a long way to creating a more unique and special experience!

Time for Teemant to Expand Our Funfinity Stone Collection!

Even if you’re cooped up inside, don’t let the fire inside you die! Take care of yourself and find creative ways to have fun so you can shine bright like this newest munzee! Joining the Ametust, Topaas, and Oniks, please welcome the Teemant!

Also known as part of the Funfinity Stones, these Player Owned Bouncers (POB) resemble the Jewel Munzees, which they also bounce to! The Teemant is available NOW in the Freeze Tag Online Store. Be sure to shop fast, because these Funfinity Stones will leave the store at 15:00 MHQ on Friday, May 1! Like the other Funfinity Stones, players can purchase a Teemant for $10. No upgrade ability is available. Topaas and Oniks will also be available during this time.

Teemant Details

Teemant joins the current line of Pouch Creatures as a physical munzee that will bounce to Greenie, Earth Mystery, Diamond, and Treehouse Munzees every 6 hours or when capped.

It will have the same point values as the other Funfinity Stones:

  • Deploy: 250
  • Capture: 200 Points
  • CapOn: 250 Points
  • CapOn (Host Owner): 200 points

Teemant will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture Teemant on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Teemant visits you. It will be attracted to Physical Magnets on all 4 of its landing pads. You can access Teemant under the “Only Expiring Specials” and “Only Pouch Creatures” filters.

New Badge!

Deploying a Teemant will earn you the following badge:

Teemant Funfinity Stone- Deploy Teemant Pouch Creature Munzee.

Additionally, any Teemant captures will help you progress in both the Unique Funfinity Stone Capture badge line and the Pouch Creature Capture badge line. As a reminder, you can see the first of each of these badge lines below:

April 2020 MunzPak Contents Revealed!

An unprecedented turn of events last month has many of us cooped up indoors, going out for supplies only when absolutely necessary. If you’re running low on munzees and have the budget for it, why not treat yourself to an April MunzPak? This month follows the Fall into Spring theme well with a lovely assortment of springtime-themed munzees and a bountiful harvest of Evolution munzees. Elekter Joins Munzee as the Newest Pouch Creature!

The increase in positively-charged munzees seems to have drawn out a charismatic — dare we say, electric — new addition to the Munzee universe. Please welcome our latest Player Owned Bouncer (POB) to the game, as Elekter prepares to join the ranks of Magnetus, Puffle, and other Pouch Creatures!

You can shop Elekter HERE and the Pouch Creature collection HERE, but be sure to purchase before the sale expires!

Pouch Creatures are bouncing munzees based on items from our sister app, WallaBee. Like the Puffle, Elekter is a virtual-only Pouch Creature. It bounces to Virtual Munzees of all colors as well as Electric Mystery Munzees. Our newest Pouch Creature will cost $20 from the Freeze Tag Online Store. It will go live for sale today (March 25th) at 10:00 MHQ time! Elekter will be for sale until 10:00 April 1st, along with a number of our previous Pouch Creatures!

Like Tuli, Vesi, and Muru, Elekter is an evolving Pouch Creature that will change icons depending on the number of captures in a daily streak. After a specified number of total captures, the Pouch Creatures will “level up” when daily streaks are attained.

The timeframe is as follows:

  • Level 1: 0 or 1 day of Capture (Day 2 new level)
  • Level 2: 2 days of Capture in a row (Day 3 new level)
  • Level 3: 3 or more days of Capture in a row

When the streak is broken, the Pouch Creature will revert to Level 1.

Elekter Details

Elekter joins the current line of Pouch Creatures as a virtual munzee that will bounce to Virtuals and Electric Mystery Munzees every 6 hours or when capped. Deploying an Elekter will earn you 250 points. The Capture and CapOn points will vary per level as follows:

  • Elekter (Level 1)
    • Capture: 200 points
    • CapOn: 100 Points
    • CapOn (Host Owner): 50 points
  • Elekjoud (Level 2)
    • Capture: 300 points
    • CapOn: 200 Points
    • CapOn (Host Owner): 50 points
  • Elektrivool (Level 3)
    • Capture: 500 points
    • CapOn: 300 points
    • CapOn (Host Owner): 50 points

When the Bouncer Upgrade credit is used, your Elekter will also have the ability to be “nudged” to a new munzee. You can use the nudge feature up to three times a day (MHQ 24-hour day), but only after your munzee has sat for at least 3 hours. Additionally, the Bouncer Upgrade will also allow you to rename your Elekter! The name will still retain the unique number, but feel free to get creative and customize your Pouch Creature’s moniker. Please keep in mind our player code of conduct, and be mindful of maintaining a family friendly environment!

Elekter will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture Elekter on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Elekter visits you. Elekter will be non-blastable. The capture radius is 500 ft (152.4 m). It will be attracted to Virtual Magnets ONLY as Elekter (Level 1). You can access Elekter under the “Only Expiring Specials” and “Only Pouch Creatures” filters.

New Badges!

There will be a number of badges to enjoy along with Elekter, including the following Deploy badge:

Elekter Pouch Creature Munzee- Deploy Elekter Pouch Creature Munzee.

Additionally there will be three badges to earn for Elekter, Elekjoud, and Elektrivool for a total of 9 additional Capture badges. The first badge per each level will appear as follows:

International Colour Day

According to the International School of Colour + Design, March 21st is International Colour Day because “around the equinox (aequi-equi+nox-night) the sun shines directly on the equator, and consequently, day and night have an approximate length all over the Earth.” As you know, how we perceive color is greatly affected by light sources — so if day and night are more similar for everyone around the world, the colors will appear more similarly to everyone as well!

To celebrate, we’ve got 2 new colorful things you might be interested in: a NEW badge and NEW generics available in the Freeze Tag Store!

NEW Badge

You can earn the [QR]ayon Box badge as of 10:00 MHQ today by capturing at least one of EVERY Virtual Munzee Color! Now before you start calling us out, we know Virtuals aren’t related to QR codes, but we couldn’t pass up the play on words!

For players who enjoy the physical game, we have new colored strips of generics for sale in the Freeze Tag Store HERE!

The strips come with a sticker in Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Violet. Each order will include two strips of 6 generics (12 stickers total) for $1.00. The codes are generic so the stickers can be shared with any player.

For now there is only a limited quantity available, so if you’ve gotten attached to them, snap them up ASAP! Depending on how popular these end up being we may restock them in the future!

The Ametust, Topaas, and Oniks are Ready to Rock Your World As the Latest Pouch Creatures!

UPDATE: Funfinity Stone capture badges are now live! 

Please give a warm welcome to the first new Pouch Creatures released this year, Ametust, Topaas, and Oniks!

Also known as part of the Funfinity Stones, these Player Owned Bouncers (POB) resemble the Jewel Munzees, which they also bounce to! These three stones are available NOW in the Freeze Tag Online Store. Be sure to shop fast, because these Funfinity Stones will leave the store at 10:00 MHQ on Monday, March 2! Players can purchase one of each of the Funfinity Stone types for $10 each. No upgrade ability is available.

You can find Ametust, Topaas, and Oniks by turning on your Only Expiring Specials and Only Pouch Creatures filters. These new Pouch Creatures WILL be attracted to physical magnets AND virtual magnets — remember that Jewel Munzees are now magnetizable as well. So this means that the physical Topaz munzee and the virtual Amethyst and Onyx munzees can also be magnetized to pull these stones!

Don’t forget to pick up magnets at the Freeze Tag Online Store and magnetize a greenie, virtual, Jewel, or Treehouse of your choosing to attract up to 3 Specials, Myths, or Pouch Creatures for up to an hour!

For deploying a Funfinity Stone Pouch Creature Munzee, you will earn the respective deploy badge:

UPDATE: There is also a line of ten badges for capturing unique Funfinity stones! Unlike other Pouch Creature badge lines these will be earned for ALL unique Funfinity captures, no matter the type. Each badge features a different Funfinity Stone so some may be a bit of a sneak peek of what’s to come! The latter badges will be pretty difficult to earn so be sure to capture Funfinity Stones whenever you see them!

Below you’ll find the requirements for the first two capture badges, which feature Topaas and the Null image. You’ll have to cap more to see which sun-shiny stone comes next!

Jewel Magnetization + New Packs in the In-App Store!

As we head into the last few days of February, we wanted to cap off this jewel-focused month with some exciting news!

Jewel Magnetization

One of the ideas we bounced around in the recent gameplay survey was whether you would like to be able to magnetize more munzee types. The majority was in favor of this idea, and it made sense to us, too — why not give Magnets more bang for their buck? Starting from today via an OTA update you can now use Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets on Jewel Munzees!

The specific Jewel you magnetize will still only bring Bouncers that land on that type of Munzee though, so you’ll be able to have a bit more control over what you’re attracting. This should help Myth chasers encounter some of the rarer myths out there, like Chimeras and Goblins.

You can easily magnetize jewels within the app, but you can also magnetize on the web as well. To learn more about Magnetizing munzees visit the Munzee Help Guide.

 

New Packs Available Via The In-App Store!

To complement this new feature, we’ve also added new multi-packs to our In-App Store! Now you can use Zeds to buy the following products in packs of 10:
