🪵 We’re Branching Out a Widdl with these NEW tPOBs! 🪵

Cappy has made an exciting new discovery in the Enchanted Woodlands: Meet the Widdlz! This all new line of temporary Player Owned Bouncers (tPOBs) have some unique traits, but it’s up to you to free the whimsical Widdlz from their wooden Trunkz! When you purchase a Widdlz Trunk you don’t know which Widdl will be inside, but as your collection grows your wooden critters will level up to new heights! Head to the In-App Store to purchase a Widdlz Trunk, or read on to learn more!

Widdlz Trunk

The Widdlz Trunk is simply a blind box container for the Widdl bouncer inside. You can get a Widdlz Trunk for 150 Zeds in the In-App Store, and when you purchase it the Widdlz Trunk will open and you’ll randomly receive 1 of 8 different Widdlz!

🪵 Widdlz Details 🪵

Some Widdlz are sweet, while others can be a little Rotten, but every Widdl is ready for adventure! This is the first series of Widdlz, so you’ll be able to collect all 8 right out the gate, but there may be additional series in the future so don’t wait too long to start your collection.

Each Widdlz’ point structure is based on their level, which is shown in the table below:

How do you increase your Widdl’s level? Keep opening Widdlz Trunkz! Once you receive a duplicate Widdl, that type will level up! Pay attention to the pop-up after opening your Trunk — the icons let you know if you’ve received a new Widdl, leveled up your Widdl, or reached the max level for that Widdl!

Landing Pad and Duration:
To increase the chances of these curious creatures being captured, they will bounce EVERY HOUR. After 5 Days, they will return to the earth and be archived. To keep things simple for newer players, ALL Widdlz will bounce to the landing pads listed below:

  • Greenies
  • Virtual Colors
  • Widdlz Workshop (learn more below!)

Although we’re always sad to see a Widdl wear itself out, their hard work will not go in vain! When a Widdl has ended its journey it will bring the owner a special new type of credit called Twigz! These Twigz can be exchanged for prizes in the Redeem Store, and the higher the level of your Widdl the more Twigz they’ll bring back! You’ll want to deploy as many Widdlz as possible to not only complete your collection, but to also build an army of expert foragers…

Your Widdlz will bring back Twigz as rewards for all their hard work!

💫 Wish Upon A Star! 💫

As mentioned above, you can of course deploy more Widdlz by opening more Widdlz Trunkz. However, if you’ve been collecting Shooting Stars on your Daily Stroll, you can also deploy more Widdlz at Wishing Wells! That’s right, now when you interact with your local Wishing Well you’ll be able to use Stars to make TWO types of wishes. Here you’ll also be able to see your collection of Widdlz and what level each has reached.

To get started simply:

  1. Head to your nearest Wishing Well
  2. Tap on its icon
  3. Tap [Details]
  4. Tap [Make A Wish]
  5. Tap [Widdlz]
  6. Tap [Deploy] on your desired Widdl type — make sure you have enough Shooting Stars!
  7. Tap on the button with the Shooting Star cost to confirm!

Please note that you will only be able to deploy Widdlz that you’ve already received from a Trunk previously, and that it will deploy the highest level you’ve attained for that type.

As for deploying Well Wisps, the process is still mostly the same, you’ll just see an extra screen — the new “Make a Wish!” menu shown above! Now that your Widdlz are ready to adventure around the world, they’re going to need some rest stops along the way…

🪚 Widdlz Workshop Details 🔨

For those eager to meet these tiny tree friends, you can set up a Widdlz Workshop to attract them, and as a bonus Cubimals will also find sanctuary at these workshops! Like a few other temporary Bouncer Destinations, these will remain on the map for 3 Days — it’s not safe for Widdlz to stay in one place for too long! Pick one up in the Freeze Tag Store HERE for $2 or in the In-App Store for 250 Zeds!

  3. Overall capture badges — capture as many Widdlz as you can find!
  4. Overall level badges — max out all your Widdlz’ levels to earn a special badge and additional prizes!

Flat Day the 13th: Final Cut

As much as we’ve enjoyed the Flat Day the 13th theme, all good things must come to an end — so this year, we’re doing a special Final Cut tying everything together! Get ready to marathon binge the whole Flat Day The 13th franchise with a new DHS tape box set. Which tape will you start with first?

Final Cut Specials

Blood red Mystery Tapes will be bouncing around the map for the next 13 days, from NOW until 23:59 MHQ time on September 25th! They will be released in waves, but will end at a total of 4,000 Mystery Tapes. Though there will only be one icon shown on the map, there are a possibility of 6 different icons for each revealed after this special is captured.

Each icon will correspond with a different DHS tape that will not be visible until captured, similar to how the WhoDuckIt specials worked.

They will bounce around every 3 hours or when capped.

Landing Pads

When you capture a Mystery Tape, up to 2 pieces of movie memorabilia will be scattered nearby! Each tape will scatter an item featured in the frightening flick that’s revealed. In addition, Premium Members* will have the chance to scatter a 7th bonus item! We’ll keep it a secret for now.

These munzees will not be blastable. They will be attracted to magnets, available from the Freeze Tag Online Store. You can access the Final Cut specials under the “All Expiring Specials” and “All Limited Specials” filters.

There are 4 new badges to earn with the Final Cut specials. The first line, comprised of 2 badges, are based on the total number of Final Cut specials you’ve captured. You can see the first badge in this line below.

The 3rd badge is based on receiving unique DHS tapes, and the 4th badge is based on collecting unique memorabilia scatters, so we’ll keep those a secret for now. Make sure to cap as many Final Cut specials as you can to earn these badges!

August 2024 GOTM Winners!

Earlier this week, we unveiled exciting changes to the Garden of the Month (GOTM) program, including a new method for selecting future winners from the completed gardens list in the CuppaZee Gardens tool! To keep things fresh, we’ll also be inviting guest judges to pick the winners each month. The Future of Garden Competitions + New Garden Greeting Cards!

A little over a week ago, thanks to CuppaZee creator Sam Hindess’s hard work, CuppaZee Gardens was released to much fanfare and excitement! The tool makes it a breeze to find Virtual Gardens to deploy in, or if you are so inclined — to create one of your own! Make sure to check it out if you haven’t already — even if you don’t consider yourself an artist, there are pre-programmed shape templates you can use to get started!

To keep the garden enthusiasm going, we wanted to make some changes to our current Garden of the Month competition! To celebrate we’ve also planted 3 NEW Garden Greeting Cards as well. Read on to learn more!

August 2024 Garden of the Month

As you may have guessed, it’s a bit too early in the month for us to have the winners chosen and this blog post all written — but we’ll do so by the end of the week so we can announce it early next week. The main change we’ll be making this month is using the Completed list on CuppaZee Gardens to pick the winners! However, as there are still so many gardens to choose from, please do continue to send in nominations at the Google Form here: https://forms.gle/SjUQeRxdi5FT81pCA

We need your help to narrow down the candidates!

September 2024 Garden of the Month

Then, starting next month, we’ll choose garden winners based on a theme we’ve chosen. If you’ve been following the GOTM in the past, you may have noticed that we already have been doing this in a way, but in a backwards order — choosing the theme based on the gardens that have been submitted.

The theme we’ve chosen for September is FantaZEE! Though it is no longer our birthday month, we would still like to see gardens that would fit right in with our New Dawn Festival to make Cappy feel welcome! So if you have a FantaZEE themed garden you’ve already created OR if you’re feeling ambitious and want to create a new themed Garden be sure to get them complete for September!

Otherwise, the same rules as before (which we have written in the Help Guide) still apply:

  1. Garden must feature non-licensed character designs.
  2. The garden must feature a Garden Places Pin.
  3. The garden must be published on CuppaZee Gardens, or built using a publicly available spreadsheet which we will ask to be locked after being 100% deployed
  4. We’re asking for ongoing nominations and we will release the winners throughout the year.

Regarding the last rule, please try to nominate gardens that fit the theme we’ve announced. And of course, if a garden has already won GOTM in the past, it cannot win again.

Lastly, we thought you might like some new stationery to spread the word about your gardens, and to ask your fellow gardeners, “How does your garden grow?”! Norse Zodiacs

For a refresher of the details about the new Norse Zodiac line of munzees, visit the December 2023 blog.

This month, you’ll receive the Thurisaz and Ansuz Runes. Thurisaz symbolizes tough decisions ahead, and big changes as a result. It cautions you to think carefully about important decisions, because once your choice is made, sometimes there’s no going back. Ansuz signifies paying attention to the signs around you. Sometimes the messages are very obvious, but overlooked because we’ve gotten used to blocking them out. Allow these runes to bring you great blessings as you prepare for future directions.

🤺 Reseller KNi6HTs Have Joined The Tourney! 🛡️

It wouldn’t be a very exciting show without some competition for the White KNi6HT! After making the journey from faraway lands, these ALL NEW Reseller KNi6HTs and their trusty steeds will do their utmost to secure honor in their respective kingdoms’ names.

Reseller KNi6HT Mechz

Like the other Munzee Mechz, the Reseller KNi6HTs are temporary POBs. Reseller KNi6HTs will remain on the map until they have been captured 10 times (twice as long as the White KNi6HT and RUMbots), as you can see below. You will receive a fully-built KNi6HT that will auto-deploy on your account when you purchase from one of our Authorized Resellers listed above. You will also receive the Blueprint to rebuild it when you have earned enough Cogs in the future. It will cost 11 Cogs to rebuild this mech.

Landing Pads

You can find these KNi6HTs of the Runed Table at the landing pads above every 6 hours or when captured.

Reseller KNi6HTs will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture a Reseller KNi6HT on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Reseller KNi6HT visits you. Reseller KNi6HTs are non-blastable. They will be attracted to both Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access it by turning on your “All Expiring Specials” filter.

When a Reseller KNi6HT is captured, it will scatter up to 3 JOUST3Rs.

  • Capture: 50
  • CapOn: 25-50

These scatters will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Mech owner’s account. They expire after 120 minutes and have a capture radius of 300 feet. These scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

Badges

There is one Blueprint for each KNi6HT and an additional badge for capturing at least one of each type. Remember, you can rebuild each of these KNi6HTs with Cogs, but only if you earn the accompanying blueprint badge.

You can see the blueprint badge for the Yellow KNi6HT and the capture badge for the Blue KNi6HT as an example below.
