🎄Pick Your Christmas Tree Topper 🌟💜

Ever since last year’s Glow Worm Invasion first wriggled across the map, you’ve been showing just how much creativity can bloom from a single shared design. Then you dialed things up with our Electric Eel Template Gardens, zapping the world with bright, coordinated color patterns that were easy to build but eye-catching on the map.

For December, we’re going bigger, brighter, and a lot more festive with Christmas Tree Template Gardens! These aren’t just little accents tucked into the landscape — they’re full, shapely trees built from virtuals that will really stand out on the map, like a forest of digital evergreens.

Christmas Tree Topper & Decorations

This time, the topper is where your personality really shines. You’ll get to choose between a Light Mystery or a Void Mystery as your tree topper — will your tree sparkle with a classic star for those feeling merry and bright like Old Saint Nick, or pulse with a mysterious dark purple void for players channeling their inner Grinch? Whether you’re going full holly-jolly or delightfully devious, your choice of topper will set the tone for your whole grove.

Just like with the Electric Eel Template Gardens, we’re keeping things streamlined by using the upgraded Template option in Sam’s CuppaZee Gardens tool. BUT this time around we’re also experimenting with larger 18-pin template gardens! And remember, you don’t have to fill the entire garden yourself — invite others to join in! Simply select the Christmas Tree template, pick your topper style, plant your tree on the map — then invite friends, family, and local players to help “decorate” it by adding their own virtuals as ornaments all around it. You’ll have a living, evolving holiday showpiece in no time!

How to Create Christmas Tree Gardens

You can follow the same steps as the previous Electric Eel template gardens — if you need a refresher, we’ve updated the instructions below for the Christmas Tree template!

1. Navigate to the [My Gardens] page in CuppaZee: https://web.cuppazee.com/gardens/my
2. Click [+ Create New Garden] in the top-right corner
3. Click [+ Create New Layer]
4. Click [From Template]
5. Click on the Christmas Tree template

6. Move the garden’s anchor point to where you’d like on the map — the tool will display a message below to show if the area is clear of Munzees that will block your garden
7. Edit your layer name if desired
8. Use the slider to change the rotation if desired
9. Click [Add Layer]
10. Use the [Draw] option on the right side of the screen to swap the virtuals from the template to other virtuals as you wish
    • You may also swap the Light Mystery to a Void Mystery if you wish — but ONLY the Void Mystery, not any other Elemental types
11. When you’re ready, give your Christmas Tree a name and publish the garden!
    • *Each player will be limited to creating two Christmas Tree Template Gardens, which will allow for players to create one of each tree if they’d like.*

Also like our last template gardens, by deploying in a Christmas Tree Garden you’ll earn an exclusive badge, plus a special additional badge if you deploy 10 or more virtuals collectively in Christmas Tree Gardens* as well. We’re keeping the badge designs a secret for now, but they will be delivered in early January as long as you fulfill the criteria.

Here’s how you can earn each spooky snack:

• Gravy Ghost Card – This drippy little specter is the spirit of “just one more ladle.” It’s ready to smother every leftover in sight!
  • You’ll have a chance to receive a Gravy Ghost Card whenever you deploy any Flat type (no Fancy Flats or Flat Bouncers).
• Berry Ghost Card – A tart troublemaker wobbling straight out of the cranberry sauce, this ghost adds a zingy splash of color to your post-feast maze.
  • You’ll have a chance to receive a Berry Ghost Card whenever you deploy any Mystery type.
• Beanie Ghost Card – The green bean casserole gremlin that proves veggies can be spooky too! This ghost has “bean” lurking in your leftovers from day one.
  • You’ll have a chance to receive a Beanie Ghost Card whenever you deploy any Evolutions.  any MechZ.
    • NOTE: Due to issues with Mech deploys not awarding the card as expected, we’ve changed the requirement to deploying EVOLUTIONS
• Stuffy Ghost Card – The spirit of second (and third) helpings of stuffing, floating in when your belt is already on its last notch.
  • You’ll have a chance to receive a Stuffy Ghost Card whenever you deploy any Gaming type.

Note: You can earn each of these cards once per day. That means if you’re active (and a bit lucky!), you can scoop up to 4 different cards every 24 hours during this event!

But that’s not all! If you manage to collect and deploy each of the four leftover ghosts above, plus the Calorie Cruncher Card, you’ll unlock the special badge below:

As a reminder, this is how to have a permanent MunzShroom on your account next year:

• Own at least 8 MunzShrooms by the end of the year.
  • Each month, the price of a MunzShroom will decrease by $1.
  • However, players can only purchase 1 MunzShroom every 28 days.

Deep in the the enchanted groves, a new band of mechz is gathering outside of work hours—the Dads of Sirwood Forest! These Middle-Aged Mechanical Medieval Fathers may crack groan-inducing dad jokes, but don’t be fooled—their courage (and questionable hobbies) make them a force to be reckoned with. This mech will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture this mech on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same mech visits you. This mech is non-blastable. It will be attracted to both Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access this mech by turning on your “All Expiring Specials” filter.

When Sir Loin is captured, it will scatter up to 3 SKUer Swords on the Mech owner’s account.

These scatters will be visible to any player and expire after 120 minutes. They have a capture radius of 300 feet. Since they are passive deploys, these scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity.
