A noble new gargoyle has been mounted on the roof! Hailing from the Netherlands, you can add the NEW Lion-Goyle to your collection by completing your capture streak next month!

If you completed your January capture streak, prepare to receive the Axol-Goyle Skin (and corresponding badge) in early February. Read on to learn more about the latest addition to the Gargoyle family!

January Gargoyle Reminders

If you haven’t picked up a base Gargoyle yet, they are available in the Freeze Tag Store for $12.

As a reminder, this is how to have a permanent Gargoyle on your account next year:

Own at least 8 Gargoyles by the end of the year.
- Each month, the price of a Gargoyle will decrease by $1.
- However, players can only purchase 1 Gargoyle every 28 days.

February Gargoyle Details

What Gargoyle awaits in February? The Lion-Goyle, who’s counting on you to help it roar back to life! It is a temporary POB that will remain on the map as long as the players with permanent Gargoyles continue to use it.

As stated earlier, you’ll need to complete next month’s (February’s) capture streak to earn this skin. Once the skin is awarded in March, you can change the skin on the Gargoyle to this one at any point! If you need some help refer to our Help Guide article for the instructions on swapping skins!

You can find this stately statue at the following landing pads every 6 hours or when captured:

Remember, instead of scatters, Gargoyles introduce a new dual-ownership mechanic which will benefit both deployers and cappers!

After 4 captures, the Stone Gargoyle will turn into a Cracking Gargoyle
After 1 more capture, the Cracking Gargoyle will turn into a Freed Gargoyle, which is owned by both the deployer AND capper! This means both players will earn CapOn points!
- NOTE: Only the Main Gargoyle Owner will get credit for the deploy. The Temporary Co-Owner will not see a deploy on their side, but instead will see earned CapOn points whenever the co-owned bouncer is captured.
After 5 captures, the Freed Gargoyle will turn back into a Stone Gargoyle

The point structure for the Cracking Gargoyle and Freed Gargoyle are as follows:

Badges

As a reminder, Gargoyles will have 4 associated badge lines:

Unique type deploy badges — you’ll need to earn each month’s skin by keeping your streak up!
Unique type capture badges — capture at least 1 of each skinned Gargoyle!
Overall deploy badges — the more Gargoyles you deploy, the merrier!
Overall capture badges — capture as many Gargoyles as you can find!
