We’ve also added the slow-moving Mini Sloth Cubimal to QRates as well! Is it only slow because it’s conserving its energy? Perhaps the red headband it wears is a clue to its true nature — with great speed comes a lot of sweat!

This cubed cutie can currently be earned from unlocking all types of QRates, but that could change in the future so work on prying those open today with a QRowbar! Don’t forget you can redeem 8 Mini Cubimals to build a Sloth Cubimal Bouncer as well in the Redeem Store!

It’s the Great Pumpkin Evolution!

It’s the spooky season and a time honored tradition is to get a pumpkin and carve a Jack O’Lantern. These gourds are also used to make a special pumpkin pie many Americans associate with the fall and other traditional holiday celebrations. MHQ is proud to bring the Pumpkin Evo into our Farm Set Evolutions and is available now through the Freeze Tag Store!

Here’s an example of one of the stage 5 bouncer options!

We’ve also made an adjustment to streaks and now ALL Evolution Munzees with bouncers (Pumpkin, Bees, Turtles, etc) will earn a deploy for the day the bouncer is spawned. This means that you’ll want to take advantage of Evo Reset Credits in order to get the most out of your Evolution Munzees!

NEW Farm Set Evolution Munzee

This Evolution is a bit different from the previous Farm Set Evolutions, as there are 5 stages total, versus the usual 3. Here is an explanation of the timeframe for this munzee.

  • Stage 1 to Stage 2: after 5 days (5 days total)
  • Stage 2 to Stage 3: after 14 days (19 days total)
  • Stage 3 to Stage 4: after 56 days (75 days total)
  • Stage 4 permanent on map unless Reset to stage one
  • Stage 5 will exist for 45 days or 10 captures, whichever happens first, at which time the temporary Pumpkin POB will be archived.

Once these Evolutions reach Stage 4, a temporary POB will be launched, which is Stage 5. The three variants of Stage 5 Pumpkins will bounce to both physical and virtual landing pads every 8 hours. They have the option of emerging as one of the three different species shown below:

Once Stage 5 is reached on the 75th day, it will remain that way on the map — unless of course, it is reset with an Evolution Reset Credit.

The point values for the pumpkin fall in line with other 5 stage evolution types.

    • Stage 1: Cap: 50, CapOn: 30
    • Stage 2: Cap: 40, CapOn: 20
    • Stage 3: Cap: 45, CapOn: 25
    • Stage 4: Cap: 40, CapOn: 30
    • Stage 5: Cap: 150, CapOn: 50, Host CapOn: 50

The 5th stage pumpkin evo bouncers will land on a vast array of Munzees including:

  • Greenie
  • All Farm Evolution Munzees
  • Seasonal
  • All Flats
  • Citrine
  • Earth Mystery
  • Water Mystery
  • All Virtual Colors
  • Treehouse
  • Skyland

To access these munzees, turn on your “Evolution” filters. They will count toward Evolution Capture and Deploy badges.

Get Spooky with our NEW Witch’s Potions Specials!

Do you hear that? That’s the sound of Spooky Season approaching! It’s that time of year when the leaves turn golden, and the air becomes crisp with the scent of adventure. To celebrate the spooktacular season, we’re delighted to introduce the enchanting Witch’s Potions Specials! Get ready to embark on a bewitching journey filled with 25 different Ingredient MOBs. Let’s dive into the cauldron of excitement and see what’s brewing!

Witch’s Potion Specials

Witch’s Potions specials are now live on the map for everyone and will remain available until Sunday, November 5, 2023 at 23:59 MHQ.

Similar to Hot Dogz specials, there will be 12 physical Ingredients and the 13 virtual Ingredients released throughout the month, including 4 extra limited-time Ingredients for Friday the 13th– so get ready! You will be building “Potions” which equate to badges with these ingredients, so the more you cap the more potions you’ll create! 

At launch you can expect to see the ingredients shown below, but more ingredients will appear as the month goes on, so make sure to keep an eye out! We’ll be releasing 150 of each Ingredient, except for the Friday the 13th specials which will get 300 of each, so make sure you get out there and grab some icky Ingredients FAST!

Some of the potion badges have magical effects and will award a booster to the owner!

All Ingredients will bounce around every 4 hours or when capped.

These specials will be available for multi-capture. These munzees will not be blastable. They will be attracted to Magnets, available from the Freeze Tag Online Store. You can access the Witch’s Potion ingredients under the “All Expiring Specials” and “All Limited Specials” filters.

We’ve created 9 NEW Badges for you to earn via specific gameplay actions! There’s two badge lines, Potions for capping specific ingredients and Witch’s Tools for overall caps!

We’ll show you the first of each badge and their requirements! It’s up to you to figure out the rest!

Your Clan can earn monthly badges to earn for reaching distinct levels of Clan Wars each month. You won’t be able to earn a badge until the entire clan has reached the specified level. There will be a total of 6 badges available in October. The first badge will appear as follows:

Land Ho! Welcome the NEW Reseller Bounty Ships!

Yo ho, yo ho a pirates life for me! And what does every good pirate NEED? A ship, of course! Well, we’re excited to announce our NEW Bounty Ship game pieces are available from our authorized Resellers*! Imagine a Prize Wheel or Sir Prize Wheel loaded with pirate treasure waiting for you capture! The Bounty Ships are available for $5 each – grab one of each color and set sail! Keep reading to learn more!

The Bounty Ships are a new Gaming type based on the classic board game- with a Pirate twist! Like other Gaming munzees, once you cap the base pin it will kickstart a game for you to play out in the real world! The physical Red Bounty Ship and the virtual Blue Bounty Ship, are different types, but they work very similarly.

As an added bonus capturing any of the Bounty Ship types/scatters will have the chance to award hidden treasure! Zeds, cogs, jewel shards, and other types of prizes are added to some captures. At launch the probability of getting multiple prizes within this mini game is quite high so give it a shot!

The point values for the Bounty Ship Munzees are as follows:

Points 

  • Cap: 35
  • CapOn: 30
  • Deploy: 40

Prepare For Battle!

When you capture the base Bounty Ship it will scatter 1-3 of the associated colored cannonballs: Red Cannonballs or Blue Cannonballs! Capturing a cannonball will then award either a HIT! or MISS! You’ll be setting sail and firing cannonballs to try to hit and SINK all the enemy ships – the goal is to keep capturing cannonballs so you can sink all of the ships and earn all the badges to win the game of Bounty Ship!

So let those Cannonballs fly and hope for a mighty hit!

For both of the Cannonballs, the amount of points for the Capture will be based on the result of the firing. They both will be 20 points for the CapOn. Both will have a Capture Radius of 150 feet and expire after 120 minutes. Beware though, a MISS! will result in -5 points! 

Now here’s where things get a little tricky! The result from capping a Cannonball will be one of five different HIT! options based on different enemy ship sizes. So if you cap a Red Cannonball you might earn a Blue Submarine HIT! This will be vice-versa for the Blue Cannonball since you’re firing on Red ships. Based on the size of the ship you’ll earn different amounts of points.

  • Brigantine Ship HIT!- 50 Capture Points
  • Schooner HIT!- 40 Capture Points
  • Sloop HIT!- 30 Capture Points
  • Submarine HIT!- 20 Capture Points
  • Lifeboat HIT!- 10 Capture Points

Badges

You’ll need to HIT! each style of Ship multiple times in order to earn a SUNK badge depending on the size of the ship. There will be a corresponding badge for sinking each Ship as well as, and if you manage to sink them all you might earn something too! That means there are lots of badges to go along with these ships! Here’s a sneak peek of one but you’ll have to be on your best pirate-y behavior to earn the rest!

Sunken Red Brigantine- Earned a HIT! on a Red Brigantine 5 times by capturing Blue Cannonballs scattered from Blue Bounty Ships.

  • Floating pins (more map overhauls are needed before this focus but we are closer)
  • Daily Activity Tracker sometimes gets stuck on “verifying”
  • Referral links are broken for some players

September 2023 GOTM Winners

September GOTM

This month saw a lot of awesome submissions, but ultimately, we narrowed it down to these two lovely gardens! Remember that all winning GOTM organizers and all players who deployed in the winning gardens will be awarded special badges for their contribution to growing the map. This month we’re happy to award Stained Glass House designed by CoalCracker7, and Mystery Boat designed by Jeffeth, as our winning September GOTM!
