Dress Up Your Myths with NEW SkeleSkins!

The bony artifacts of our ongoing Candy Crypt MOBs may have inspired this year’s Halloween skins — and while a skeleton is perhaps one of the basic Halloween costumes, we think the skins below are anything but — particularly for the many-headed Hydra, as you’ll see below!

We mentioned earlier in the week that, as part of fulfilling our new Queen Munzee’s wishes, an extension to the Unique Myth Capture badge line (excluding the MythologiGals) and the Unique Modern Myth Capture badge line was in the works. As of this posting, the new badges are now live!

Unlike the Points in a Day badges, these will be fully retroactive.

Calculate Your Pumpkoin Balance with this NEW Mech!

In our first Pumpkoins post, we mentioned that another tab in the Redeem Store would appear later on. As planned, this tab contains items that will remain available through 02:30 MHQ on Thursday, November 3rd (the expiration date we had set for Pumpkoins) — so you don’t need to worry about them going away like the items in the [Pumpkoins (Week X)] tab (which swaps out on 12:00 MHQ every Friday)!

The main change you’ll notice is that this new tab is limited to Premium members only.

Currently there’s only one item in there right now, so here’s everything you need to know!

Count Calcula Details

Like the other Munzee Mechz, Count Calcula is a temporary POB that will remain on the map until it has been captured 5 times. At 12:00 MHQ today, it was made available in the Redeem Store in the [Pumpkoins Surprises] tab for 25 PC. If you decide to make the trade, a Count Calcula will be automatically deployed on your account at once! You will also receive the Blueprint to rebuild it when you have earned enough Cogs in the future.

Landing Pads

You can find these toothy tools flying to the landing pads above every 6 hours or when captured.

Count Calcula will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture a Count Calcula on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Count Calcula visits you. Count Calcula is non-blastable. He will be attracted to both Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access him by turning on your “All Expiring Specials” filter.

When a Count Calcula is captured, it will scatter up to 3 BATteries.

These scatters will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Mech owner’s account. This means that unlike Air Mystery Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn points for the owner!  They expire after 120 minutes, have a capture radius of 300 feet, and you’ll be able to use Rover Treats to capture them as well. These scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

Badges

Deploying a Count Calcula will earn you the corresponding Blueprint badge, which you can see below. There is also a badge that you can earn by capturing a Count Calcula — but since there’s only one badge in this line, we’ll keep it a secret for now.

Changes to Joining a Clan

By now, you’ve probably seen at least one of the posts we put out earlier this month encouraging you to give Clan Wars a try! While we’ll continue to monitor your feedback on the Clan War Requirements, they aren’t the only things we’re looking to change and improve.

We want to ensure a competitive and fair battleground, so certain changes have been made regarding how players can join a clan. Moving forward players will only be able to join a clan until the 12th of each month. After the 12th you will be unable to join a new clan. When the 13th day of the month starts at MHQ it will be TOO late.

To help newer players take part in Clan Wars we’ll still allow accounts 90 days old and under to join all month long, but we still encourage solidifying your team by the 12th. We appreciate your understanding that these changes will benefit the integrity of Clan Wars as a whole.

As part of the app update that enforces this change, error popups have been added that will clearly show this new rule. That way, even those who haven’t yet seen this post should be aware of the new rule once they see the popups. This goes into effect October 13, 2022 – so be sure you join a clan BEFORE then if you are interested this month.

Redeem Pumpkoins for Prizes!

You’ve heard of Candy Corn Credits, C04L Credits, Sham Rock Credits, and Painted Rose Credits — now get ready for Pumpkoin Credits! After reviewing the activity on Painted Rose Credits and making some improvements (we hope ?) we’ve created a new limited-time credit for you to earn and redeem!

Like Jewel Shards, Weapon Shards, and Cogs, you’ll be able to redeem Pumpkoin Credits (PC) at the Redeem Store for game pieces. However, like the past limited-time credits, they can only be redeemed until 02:30 MHQ on Thursday, November 3rd (when November Clan Wars starts).

How to Earn Pumpkoin Credits

Pumpkoin Credits can be earned from now until 23:59 MHQ on Monday, October 31st.

Friendly Reminders

Flat Friends/Objects are part of this month’s Clan War Requirements! To encourage more Clan War gameplay, we’ve moved requirements for specific munzee types, including those for Flat Friends/Objects, out of the Individual Requirements and into the Clan Requirements. We hope this allows your clan more flexibility in planning how to tackle each level!

We’ve also got quite a few events going on during this ZEE-Dayz! Don’t forget to check out the Munzee Calendar to see where you might like to deploy some munzees to get some capon points! While Greeting Cards are much easier to deploy due to their temporary nature, you may want to save them for the weekend of the 13th through the 16th as mentioned above. Then again, Greeting Cards are such a bargain, so you may decide to deploy both Greeting Cards AND Flats, if you can find the perfect spots on the map!

October 2022 Clan Wars Requirements

— 9/30/22 UPDATE — Level X (aka Level 6) requirements, rewards, and badge mention was added!

It’s almost October! As the 3-year anniversary of our big Clan Wars update approaches, we’ve taken some time to review the requirements we’ve set each month and your feedback on them as well! While we have bigger changes in the works, for now, we think you’ll be excited about the ones we’ve made for the upcoming month:

  1. Points per day requirements (i.e. “5 days must be at least 5,000 total points”) are only present in Level 5
  2. QRate requirements (i.e. “At least 3 Claimed QRates”) are only present in Levels 4 & 5

Additional conversations are taking place RIGHT NOW in our official Discord channel about hidden tasks and the use of Level X as an Elite challenge for top tier clans. We would love to hear your feedback on this topic (and so many more) at www.munzee.com/discord

As usual, you’ll find all the latest details to our clan requirements and rewards in the clan section of our app. There have been a few issues with activity not counting for some players in the opening minutes of the clan war. Please be sure to give our servers a bit of time to switch from Clan Wars OFF to Clan Wars ON. 🙂 This will ease frustration, just 10 or 15 minutes will make all the difference. We’re happy everyone is so anxious to get started on the 3rd of each month! In addition: Please do not change your clan membership for at least 2 hours after the month ends. The calculations are still being made and it could ruin your efforts.

It is possible that we could update clan requirements prior to October 3 and reserve the right to do so. The final requirements and rewards will always be shown in the app. Will we add something special for a Level X based on Discord feedback??? We’ll let you know if anything changes and update the blog!

October ClanPak

Last year, we introduced the ClanPak! While MunzPaks started as a product to aid in Clan Wars, they have transitioned over time. Sometimes you may need a few things to help meet Clan War Requirements, (i.e. magnets, QRowbars, etc.) and reach your goals.

There is a limit of one per player per product/month. You can purchase the October ClanPak HERE! This is NOT a subscription program.

  • At least 5,000 total points
  • At least 3 Bouncer captures

October Badges

Your Clan can earn monthly badges to earn for reaching distinct levels of Clan Wars each month. You won’t be able to earn a badge until the entire clan has reached the specified level. Since there is NO Level X this month, there will be a total of 5 6 badges available in October. The first badge will appear as follows:

Overall Clan Notes:

Please keep in mind Levels 4 & 5 are considered advanced gameplay and not recommended for brand new players. Be aware when allowing new players to join your clans. QRew/ZeeQRew status will be required for any clans earning levels 3, 4 & 5. See qualifications for ZeeQRew here. If you are not a member on October 1st you will not be able to qualify until October 15th. If you lose qualification before the 15th you will not be able to qualify until November 1st.

*Claimed QRates will not carry over from before the clan battle starts. The QRate must be found, opened, and claimed during the month of the current clan battle. This time period begins on the 3rd, same as the clan battle.

*All shards may be redeemed at https://www.munzee.com/redeem
Total points include Cap, Deploy, and CapOn of all types.
Reseller caps/deploys include all types of RUM/vRUM/reseller card but NOT reseller gnomes or any scatters.
Bouncer captures include any POB, MOB, or TOB (even the temporary POB).
Social and Personal will not count for Deploy requirements.
Social and Universal will not count for total Capture requirements.
Personal and Universal will not count for Physical points of any sort.

Hints for how to play if your local map is looking a little bare:
Use the swap feature for brand new virtual deploys.
Use the online map to deploy virtuals worldwide or find gardens to deploy in on social media groups.
Watch the online store for sales during the month to help meet your goals.
Use evolution reset credits to get new CapOn points from OLD deploys (they do NOT count as new deploys)

Around ZEE World Sale & ZEE-Dayz Part II!

At the start of the month, we had a simple ZEE-Dayz so that everyone could enjoy Labor Day weekend with us, whether you’re based in the US or not! NEW Pouch Creature Details

Previously, the Mitmegu was unique in that it evolved based on its host munzee. We’ve just discovered a new Pouch Creature that has the same evolution pattern, though with just one form it can evolve into — meet Sparbee, the flame dwelling firefly! Pouch Creatures are bouncing munzees based on items from our sister app, WallaBee.

Both Sparbee and Sparfox will bounce to the landing pads above every 6 hours or when capped.

When the Bouncer Upgrade credit is used, your Sparbee / Sparfox will also have the ability to be “nudged” to a new munzee. You can use the nudge feature up to three times a day (MHQ 24-hour day), but only after your munzee has sat for at least 3 hours. Additionally, the Bouncer Upgrade will also allow you to rename your Sparbee / Sparfox! The name will still retain the unique number, but feel free to get creative and customize your Pouch Creature’s moniker. Please keep in mind our player code of conduct, and be mindful of maintaining a family friendly environment!

Sparbee / Sparfox will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture Sparbee / Sparfox on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Sparbee / Sparfox visits you. Sparbee / Sparfox will be non-blastable. The capture radius is 500 ft (152.4 m). They will be attracted to Magnets. You can access Sparbee / Sparfox under the “All Expiring Specials” and “All Pouch Creatures” filters.

Special Themed Scatter Events

When you cap the Around ZEE World Mailbox, up to 10 themed scatters will be deployed nearby. They expire 36 hours after they are deployed, to hopefully give you enough time to capture them all! While we’ll reveal the Tiers and Dates to help you plan, we’ll just reveal what will be scattering for the first event:

4 Saturday, October 1 at 00:01 MHQ to 23:59 MHQ ? — will reward Premium members with 5-10 Zeds per capture

A ZEE-Dayz to Kick Off Your Around ZEE World Experience!

While our Around ZEE World Mailbox won’t start delivering goodies until the 10th, we wanted to add purpose to this first weekend, especially since many in the US will have a longer weekend to take advantage of!

ZEE-Dayz Bonus Details

As we’ve got a bit of wanderlust, from the period of Friday, September 2nd at 12:00 MHQ through Monday, September 5th at 23:59 MHQ, enjoy double capture points AND double capture radius on ALL Places, Historical Locations, and Iconic Locations!

Please note that for the points, only capture points are doubled this time — since the deploy process for Places is quite involved, it would be impractical to double the deploy points for those.

Friendly Reminders

Last week, we released the Memorial and Gym Places, so check out your local area to see if any new ones have popped up near you that you can capture!

Also, on Wednesday, we revealed the H0t A1r Balloon Mech, which lands on the same types featured in this ZEE-Dayz and more! If you haven’t deployed many Places Munzees, you may wish to do so before these Mechz start bouncing around on the map to maximize your points!
