Holiday Card Collectors Club Tier 3 Day 13: GingerMech Man

We’re kicking off the 12 days before Christmas with another temporary POB for Tier 3 Holiday Card Collectors Club members! We bet you’re curious to find out all his features and functions, so without further ado…

GingerMech Man Details

As previously stated, the GingerMech Man is a temporary POB. It will deploy on your account when you capture your holiday mailbox on December 13. The mailbox must be capped on December 13th 00:01-23:59 MHQ time to deploy GingerMech Man. Like the Spyderbot, it will stay on the map until it has been captured 5 times, when it will be archived on your account. After the fifth capture a GingerMech Man will be “snapped” which results in more points for the capper.

GingerMech Man will bounce to certain virtual munzees (listed below) for the first 4 captures, but after being capped 4 times it will land on a physical munzee where it can now be snapped. If you’ve ever deployed a Butterfly or Frog Evolution munzee, these will behave similarly with a few exceptions.

Points

  • Deploy: 500
  • Capture: 250
  • CapOn: 100
  • Snap (5th Cap): 500

You can find these bionic cookies bouncing to the following landing pads every 4 hours or when captured:

Like the Cyborg Santa, the GingerMech Man will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture a GingerMech Man on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same GingerMech Man visits you. However, GingerMech Men are non-blastable and will not be attracted to magnets. You can access GingerMech Man by turning on your “All Limited Edition Specials” and “All Expiring Specials” filters.

Holiday Card Collectors Club ALL Tiers Day 5: Snowball Gathering

ALL Holiday Card Collectors Club members are in for a special treat today! Upon capturing your Holiday Mailbox, a whole arsenal of Snowballs will scatter nearby! To reiterate, The mailbox must be capped on December 5th 00:01-23:59 MHQ time to deploy the Snowballs. They’ll stay on the map until 36 hours after scattering, so that should give you ample time to collect them all!

A total of 50 Snowball specials will be unleashed! These will only be visible to the Holiday Mailbox owner and will scatter like Feathers. This means there are no CapOn points but they are worth 100 points for capture!

Though there will only be one icon shown on the map, there is guaranteed to be 1 special Rainbow Snow Cone with a different icon that will not be visible until captured, similar to how the Greeting Cards work. Also similar to the ongoing WallaEggZ! The Rainbow Snow Cone is worth 250 points for capture.

To access these specials, please turn on your “All Expiring Specials” and “All Limited Edition Specials” filters.

There is also a line featuring 3 new badges to earn. The first badge in the series appears as follows:

Snow Cone Kit- Capture one Snowball special.

It’s up to you to figure out the exact requirements for the remaining 2 badges! Cap as many of these specials as you can to set yourself up for success!

Holiday Card Collectors Club Tier 3 Day 1: Cyborg Santa

Can you believe it’s already been two weeks since we first revealed the Cyborg Santa as part of Tier 3 of our Holiday Card Collectors Club? We bet you’re curious to find out all his features and functions, so without further ado…

Cyborg Santa Details

As previously stated, the Cyborg Santa is a temporary POB. It will deploy on your account when you capture your holiday mailbox on December 1. The mailbox must be capped on December 1st 00:01-23:59 MHQ time to deploy Santa. It will bounce to both physical and virtual munzees, specifically: Greenies, Earth Mysteries, Ice Mysteries, all Virtual Colors, all three stages of the Farm Set – Family Evolution, Treehouses, and Skylands every 5 hours or when capped. It will stay on the map until 23:59 MHQ on December 31, when it will be automatically archived on your account. If you’ve ever deployed a Butterfly or Frog Evolution munzee, these will behave similarly with a few exceptions.

Points

  • Deploy: 750
  • Capture: 300
  • CapOn: 150

Similar to the Modern Myths, when the Cyborg Santa is captured 1 NEW Pixel Present munzee will be scattered nearby!

The Pixel Present will only be visible to the player who capped the Cyborg Santa, and will be deployed on the Cyborg Santa owner’s account. This means that unlike Feathers, there are CapOn points for the owner!

The rewards for Pixel Presents are as follows:

  • Capture: 50-150 points and 1-5 Zeds
  • CapOn: 75-175 points and 3-7 Zeds

Like the Cybersaurus Rex, the Cyborg Santa will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture a Cyborg Santa on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Cyborg Santa visits you. However, Cyborg Santas are non-blastable. They will be attracted to Munzee Magnets and Virtual Munzee Magnets. You can access Cyborg Santa by turning on your “All Limited Edition Specials” and “All Expiring Specials” filters.

A Challenger to Cyborg Santa Has Appeared + Cyber Munzday Info!

As we mentioned in our posts yesterday on social media, we’re still enjoying a break from our usual duties today (hopefully you are too) — so this is some pre-scheduled programming! If you’re jealous of Holiday Card Collectors Club members because of the super-cool Cyborg Santa, but aren’t ready for the commitment, or if you just enjoy collecting robot toys, we’ve got an option for you! We’ve also got some info on the promotions we’re planning for Cyber Munzday, so make sure to read all the way to the end!

Cybersaurus Rex

Our solution to deliver Christmas presents in a contactless manner all around the world was a good one — build an army of Cyborg Santas! But an enterprising elf — who may or may not have marathoned the entire Jurassic Park film franchise — applied the same technology to some T-rex prototypes, not knowing that part of their AI had already been programmed to mimic real T-rex behaviors! Treat Yourself With a Holiday Card Collectors Club Membership!

The week before Black Friday and Cyber Munzday is prime planning time for your upcoming present purchases, so we’re here to remind you to get something for yourself too! If you’re a fan of our Greeting Card munzees, we’ve got just the thing! We are excited to introduce the Holiday Card Collectors Club (HCCC), which you’re able to purchase starting NOW in the Freeze Tag Online Store!

Maybe you were preparing for another Advent Calendar? Well, this year, we’ll be sending goodies to you every day during the month of December! Why the name change? As this covers more than the traditional Advent period, we felt that the “Advent Calendar” name didn’t quite fit. In addition, also unlike Advent Calendars of the past (2018, 2019), Club members will receive virtual items only. While there’s no denying that getting something in your real-world mail is always special, we felt that this would be more appropriate given the current situation, and just a less stressful option for all involved — we don’t have to worry about shipping things out by a deadline, and you don’t have to worry about packages being stolen or being held up in customs!

In an attempt to keep some of the magic, we’ve also created a totally new game piece to deliver Collectors Club items! The Holiday Mailbox Munzee is guaranteed to deliver this holiday season!

Sure, we could have just decided on adding things directly to your account on an automated schedule — but where’s the fun in that? We wanted to give you something to cap each day too (like the Skyland and Places munzees). When you deploy this new game piece nearby it will only be visible to AND cappable by you. To ensure that you are able to capture this new game piece each day, you’ll also be able to update its location if you’ll be traveling at any point during the month. We really don’t want you to miss out! It is very important you capture it each day during December.

It’s worth 100 deploy points!  When it comes to captures you’ll receive 10 points before December; mystery number of points during December. The mailbox can be captured up to 1000 feet away and is found under the Virtuals filter but ONLY visible to the OWNER. The holiday mailbox will be archived at the end of December or early January. THE HOLIDAY MAILBOX MUST BE DEPLOYED IN APP!

How the Holiday Mailbox Works:

Starting December 1st at 00:01 MHQ, each day you cap your Holiday Mailbox you will be awarded a different holiday themed Greeting Card capture, similar to the World Laughter Day specials. Please note that you’ll only be able to earn that specific card on that day, so you really don’t want to miss a day. Once you cap that card you’ll earn points, and depending on which tier of Club Membership you purchase you may also get some extra prizes!

There are 3 tiers of Club Membership you can purchase HERE:                                        You are only able to purchase ONE tier per player account.

  • Tier 1 “Capper” is available for $5 and includes the NEW Holiday Mailbox, which will deliver 31 Greeting Card munzees for you to capture.
  • Tier 2 “Giver” is available for $15 and includes everything in Tier 1 PLUS a matching Holiday Card each day for you to deploy, maybe near a friend? That’s 31 new cards to deploy on top of the 31 you can cap! You’ll also get some special bonuses scattered throughout the month, which could be double points days, exclusive specials or scatters to cap, credits or undeployed munzees, etc.
  • Tier 3 “Collector” is available for $25 and includes everything in Tier 2 PLUS all bonuses we have planned (some that Tier 2 will not have access to), AND a special Cyborg Santa temporary POB deployed from your account on December 1st! The bonus rewards will be well worth joining this tier over the previous two. We’ll release more details about Cyborg Santa closer to the launch date, so stay tuned!

Once you’ve decided on a Tier, you can purchase it in the FT Store! Please make absolutely sure you’re satisfied with the Tier you select before purchasing, as we may not be able to change it. ZeeOps- Operation: Lockdown (April 2020)

A few weeks ago, we announced that there would be no ZeeOps for the month of March. Like the rest of the world, ZeeOps HQ was caught off-guard by the spread of COVID-19. Agents were ordered to limit their time outdoors and prepare for remote assignments. But things never go as smoothly as we hope. Just as our March missions were ready to be released, a nasty new virus was detected in our computing systems, originating from a simple “Hello World” text file stored on an agent’s computer.

Luckily, Director Zee has successfully recovered thanks to all of your hard work in February and having the month of March off! Though he is a bit shaken from his recent experiences, he is ready to face this new threat and hopes he can rely on your support. While the order to limit your time outdoors is still in place, the staff at ZeeOps HQ have identified some core operations that you’ll be able to complete remotely to help identify the structure of this virtual virus and protect the currently uninfected files. Will you accept these missions?

April 2020 ZeeOps Operations are now live and you can begin planning your Missions to start on the following day. You will only have until April 30th at 23:59 MHQ to complete this month’s Operations. All four Operation types available for this month- the Basic Op (3 days), the Advanced Op (7 days), the Mega Op (10 days), and the Ultra Op (14 days)! We hope this gives you something to do while you’re staying safe at home!

You can plan your Operations at munzee.com/ops/ and purchase more ZeeCred in the Freeze Tag Online Store. Remember that if you hit a snag at any point in your Operation you can use the Mission Mulligan feature to keep going! This month features a variety of munzee types so be sure to stock up in the Freeze Tag Online Store.

By completing any Operation this month you’ll earn the “Operation: Lockdown” badge.

 

This month’s Missions are as follows:

Level 1

  • Defensive Training – Deploy at least 10 munzees.
  • Evolutionary Studies I – Deploy at least 5 physical or virtual Evolution Munzees.
  • Back To Barbarianism II – Deploy at least 10 Clan Weapons of any kind.
  • Virtually Vertical – Capture at least 5 of any virtual type munzee AND capture at least 1 of ANY type of POB.
  • Barbaric Bouncing – Deploy at least 5 clan weapons of any type AND capture at least 1 of ANY type of POB.

Level 2

  • Field Test Studies – Capture at least 25 physical or virtual Evolution Munzees.
  • Developmental Deploys – Deploy at least 10 Evolution Munzees.
  • A Study In Swords – Capture at least 40 Clan Weapons of any kind.
  • Mutated Memos – Deploy at least 10 Evolution Munzees of any type.
  • R.U.M. Relay – Deploy at least 5 of any type of RUMs, at least 5 of any type of clan weapon munzees AND at least 5 of any type of Evolution munzees.

Level 3

  • Advanced Training – Earn at least 10,000 points.
  • Virtual Virus II – Capture at least 250 virtual munzees of any type.
  • Decoy Deploys – Deploy at least 15 Evolution Munzees of any type.
  • Clan Chemist – Deploy at least 15 Evolution munzees AND at least 20 of any type of Clan Weapon.
  • Viral Virtuals – Earn at least 2000 points from all types of Virtual points.

Level 4

  • Expert Training – Earn at least 50,000 points.
  • Jumbling Jewels – Deploy at least 20 jewels.
  • Renter’s Insurance – Rent a room in at least 20 Motels/Hotels/Virtual Resorts/Timeshares/Condos.
  • Armory Amendments – Deploy at least 60 Clan Weapons of any kind.
  • Helix Hierarchy – Deploy at least 15 and capture at least 10 Evolution Munzees of any type.

Completing Operations will give you some hard earned rewards as well.

2019 In Review

Last year was definitely a year of change as we released an update that was a long time coming — Munzee 4.0! We appreciate all of the players, old and new, who have continued to support the game. It is for you that we are constantly dreaming up ways to make the game more dynamic and the app more friendly! On that note, we’d like to celebrate some key points that the Munzee Community has achieved last year:

Recruiting New Players

As a worldwide geo-location based game, our aim is to continue to expand and grow the community. After all, it’s more fun playing with more people!

  • 65,495 new players started playing Munzee in 2019
    • 83% more than 2018

Recycling Program Revamp

In April we announced QRew, a junior version of the ZeeQRew program, which allowed players to replace missing or damaged Munzees once they met certain requirements. Along with this update we also launched the new QRewzee Munzee, which gave the added incentive of receiving more points after replacing and capturing newly replaced Munzees. This seemed to have a tremendous effect on the number of Munzees that have been replaced over the past year.

  • 95,131 Munzees replaced in 2019
    • 200% more than 2018

New Map Layers

In June we split Physical and Virtual Munzees to sit on their own map layer, along with Flat, Temporary and Event Munzees each being on their own layers as well. This essentially doubled the amount of space available for new Munzees to be deployed, which in turn provided more Munzees to be captured.

  • 80,034,191 Munzees captured in 2019
  • 5,419,442 Munzee deployed in 2019
    • 19% more than 2018

Munzee Events

In September we streamlined our Event Process by making Event Packages available in the Freeze Tag Store. Since event hosts usually purchase the same items for their events every time, we developed different packages based on commonly ordered items. Of course, any additional requests are still handled by our trusty Global Events Director Louise! Purchasing these new event packages sends event hosts all the information they need in an automatic e-mail. We also updated our Help Guide to help walk event hosts through the process!

  • 517 events held worldwide in 2019
  • 12,648 attendees total in 2019

Clan Wars Revamp

In October we released a major update to the clan wars system, allowing teams of less than 10 players to participate and the ability for clans to recruit throughout the month. Along with this update we added a brand new Clan Wars section in the app, which allows players to create/join clans and track their progress on challenge requirements for each battle. We’re ecstatic to see that this has encouraged more players to join in on Clan Wars!

  • 9% more players participating in Clan Wars than 2018
  • 25% more clans reached Level 1 or higher in 2019 after the update
  • 52% more clans reached Level 3 in 2019 after the update
