With Matt and Rob en route to Munzee, IN, we’re excited to offer some more details on the virtual Garfield icons that will be available!
These virtual icons are located at each of the Garfield statues in Muncie, IN and Grant County. Garfields will be released at the Saturday morning event at McCulloch Park. You’ll earn 78 points for each Garfield statue captured, which is based on the year Garfield was first published- 1978. Even if you can’t make it to Muncie for the events this weekend, the Garfield virtual icons will be permanent, so stop by on your travels and enjoy some time with the fat cat in the future.
We’re also introducing a new Tourism filter that will include Garfield virtual icons and the Texas Historical Markers. We hope to expand to more tourism destinations soon, so stay tuned for more in the future.
There will also be an Eventzee photo scavenger hunt connected to all of the unique Garfield statues for the weekend. You can scan that join code at the Saturday morning event as well. Say (lasagna) cheese!

Munzee’s 6th Birthday celebration in Muncie, IN is still a couple of weeks away, but we wanted to update you all on some of the happenings as well as showcase some of the awesome badges you can earn over the weekend. Remember that Muncie is officially becoming Munzee, IN so prepare to show the city how we have fun! Our lasagna loving feline friend Garfield will be making appearances too, so you won’t want to miss out.
Part I
To kick off the weekend we want you to join Munzee-Man at the Hall Of Justice… err… Canan Commons! Matt and Rob will be front and center to hang out at the recreation area. Canan Commons includes a stage for performances, open space for gathering and informal recreation, as well as plenty of dining options. What better way to prepare for a weekend of heroic fun? Agents, due to your hard work in June the contaminated outlier strain of Evolution Munzees has been controlled. Despite investigations into what caused the issue, there have been few leads as to who was behind the leak. ZeeOps Agents must focus on forward though, so prepare for this month’s Operations.
Since the leaders of the Mean Green Gang have seemingly all been eradicated Director Zee has kicked off a probation program for former MGG members. The program has been named “Going Green.” He has requested that ZeeOps agents worldwide begin rounding up Mean Greenies to present them the opportunity to join forces. The program has been met with some resistance from both ZeeOps agents and former Mean Green Gang operatives though, so be careful.

LEVEL 4: Expert Training- Earn at least 50,000 points. Gone Green- Deploy at least 100 greenies. The Dictator – Capture at least 150 greenies and deploy at least 50 greenies. Resistance – Deploy at least 100 physical munzees of any type. Missing Zee- Capture at least 250 physical type munzees.
Completing Operations will give you some hard earned rewards as well.

Agents, your hard work in May has paid off and the final factions of the Mean Green Gang have been dismantled. Although we’re always on the lookout for another uprising, it seems the reign of the Mean Green Gang has ended. The enemy has fallen, but your work is not done.
ZeeOps Scientists have started developing an evolutionary strain of munzees. These Evolution Munzees, also known as Evos, come in many forms. We’re still in the testing phase, but we need our agents to see how these Evos react in the real world. It is up to you to capture and deploy a variety of these Evos for the sake of science.

In April our ZeeOps Agents stopped the Mean Green Gang from using secret Fire and Ice technology for evil with the help of the secret organization of resellers known as R.U.M.! An agent’s job is never done though, so prepare for another month of twists and turns.
Following your victories last month the Mean Green Gang has gone on the run. It’s up to you to find where they’re hiding by searching Munzee Destinations worldwide. Look for undercover Mean Green Gang members by capturing and deploying Hotel, Motel, Resort and Timeshare Munzees. Simply searching various Destinations won’t be enough to find the hidden Mean Green Gang members though. Prove the area is secured by renting rooms in Destination Munzees of any type. Remember that there are a limited number of rooms in each Destination Munzee, so you’ll need to be quick to capture when a new one is deployed near you.
