Weapons Weekend Means Worldwide Fun for All!

Who’s ready for some excitement?! We’re happy to announce that MHQ Bash Weekend will also kick off Weapons Weekend worldwide! If you find yourself wondering what is Weapons Weekend?!, we’re happy to share that it won’t disappoint. Weapons Weekend means double points on all Clan Weapon activity from Friday 9/27 at 00:01 MHQ time through Sunday 9/29 at 23:59 MHQ time! That means it’s a weekend of fun that all players can partake in, regardless of whether or not you’ll be joining us in North Texas!

This month is all about MedZEEval Times, so be sure to stock up on as many Clan Weapons as you can before the big weekend! You can earn Clan Weapons by competing in Clan Wars, but for those who didn’t join a Clan in time for September Clan Wars, you can pick up a handful of Clan Weapon Munzees in each of our September MunzPaks! PLUS something special will be going on with all Unicorn and Dragon Mythological Munzee Variants during Bash weekend, so be sure to stay tuned! 

We want everybody around the world to showcase their warrior prowess, so expect some more announcements as the month goes on. Although we’ll have a handful of warriors with us in person at MHQ Bash, the rest of the world should prepare for battle, too! And, of course, even though our event packages are no longer for sale, you can RSVP on the event calendar anytime to join in on the fun in person!

And while all of this might be getting you excited, we do have one final bit of news to share…

Clan Wars Update!

The development team has been hard at work on a brand new update to the Munzee app that will take the Clan Wars experience to a whole new level! While we’re not revealing all of the fun details just yet, we will begin beta testing very soon. So if you’re part of the beta testing group, stay tuned for more info!

September 2019 Clan Wars Requirements Have Arrived!

Are you ready to battle?! Clan Battle #78 will commence on September 3 at 00:01 MHQ time. In theme with the upcoming MedZEEval Times celebration, this month’s requirements will be focused on Clan Weapons, with special appearances by Jewel, Mystery, and Zodiac munzees. It’s a royal feast!

Are you interested in joining a new clan or trying out Clan Wars for the first time? You can use our Clan Randomizer button to find a spot! Just be sure to act fast, because this option will only be available from 00:01 MHQ time September 1 through 23:59 MHQ time September 2. Scroll down to the end of the blog for a friendly reminder of our acronyms, such as MOB and POB.

Ukraine Global Grub Joins the Map!

Whether you’re a fan of sweet or savory treats, we have a delicious surprise for you in the form of today’s Global Grub! The Ukraine Global Grub special will be joining the map today at 15:00 MHQ time to offer another sensational dish of food!

We will be deploying 8 Ukraine Global Grub specials at the moment. They will join other virtual Global Grubs, such as France, Australia, and USA, as they bounce to regular virtuals and colored virtuals every 12 hours or when captured.

Did you know that each time a Global Grub Munzee is captured, players will earn a badge containing a dish of food that is unique to the flag pin country? Capturing the Ukraine Global Grub will earn you the following tasty badge:

Will you be digging into sweet or savory vareniki today? The great thing about these steamed dumplings is that you can fill them with whatever you desire! Sometimes served fried in butter, these delicious dumplings make for a perfect snack or light main course and can easily be made vegetarian. Stuff them with potatoes, cheese, mushrooms, cabbage, and sauerkraut for a savory vegetarian dinner option or stick with sweet cheese and fruity fillings for a satisfying dessert. It all depends on your tastebud preference!

The Global Grub specials will bounce around the globe for the remainder of the year before leaving the map on 12/31/2019 at 23:59 MHQ time. Introducing NEW Flat Friends Badges! (Plus Sale!)

With two of our Flat Friends planning to tie the knot, it seems like the perfect time to add some more excitement to the world of our flat game companions. That’s why we’re happy to announce our brand new line of Overall Flat Friends Capture and Deploy badges that are available as of 10:00 MHQ time today!

Badge Line Details

Our brand new line of overall capture and deploy badges will be for ANY type of Flat Friend Munzee, including the Fancy Flat Friend Variants. That means Flat Rob, Flat Matt, Flat Lou, and Flat Hammock PLUS Beach Flat Rob, Tux Flat Rob, Cold Flat Rob, Matt’er Up Flat Matt, Footy Flat Matt, and Face-Off Flat Matt all count for our Overall Flat Friends badges!

These badges will be retroactive, so all of your hard-earned Flat Friends captures and deploys will count towards earning some new achievements! There will be a Null for each line, with only the next available badge made visible.

The badges will start being awarded as of the publication of this blog, so you might just see some new badges today!

AccesorZees and Sweet Ridez!

The Overall Flat Friends badges will be awarded for both captures and deploys. The capture line features different “AccesorZees” for our Flat Friends, like Flat Rob’s hat, Flat Matt’s lasso and more! The deploy badge line features “Sweet Ridez” AKA different modes of transportation like Flat Rob’s Munzee Mobile and Flat Lou’s Bike!

There are currently 8 badges that you can earn per category, with 2 badges per each Flat Friend per category. That means each Flat Friend has 2 capture and 2 deploy badges to earn based on number of deploys or captures, for a total of 16 brand new badges! Please note that although these badge designs are attributed to specific characters, you can earn the badges by capturing and deploying ANY Flat Friend.

While we’re not about to reveal everything, we will provide a sneak peak of the first badge for both the capture and deploy lines. As you can tell by the requirements, you’re going to have to be quite the Flat Friends master to pick up all of these badges, because the numbers get high! Think you have what it takes?! Time to Serve Up Pakistan Global Grub!

We recently announced that the Global Grub overall capture badges are here to allow you to earn more badges than ever for your Global Grub captures! And today we have a real treat for those who enjoy eating meat, because the Pakistan Global Grub will be joining the map at 15:00 MHQ time!

Eight Pakistan Global Grub specials will be deployed today, joining Global Grub physical specials including Italy, Korea, Greece, and more! They will bounce to Greenies every 12 hours or when captured.

Ready for a protein packed feast? If you haven’t tried chicken tandoori yet, then you’re really missing out! This dish involves finely marinated chicken that is covered in yogurt and spices and roasted to tender perfection in a tandoor over. You can often recognize this dish by the vibrant hue of the meat, which is due to the chili power and turmeric used in the marinating process. This savory dish will fall apart in your mouth for a delicious dining experience!

Introducing the All NEW Nymph Mythological Munzee!

Did you notice something slinking through the forest? It might be our all new Nymph Mythological Munzee, which will be available for sale tomorrow at 10:00 MHQ time for 24-hours only!

Nymph Details

The Nymph Mythological Munzee will be available for purchase in the Freeze Tag Online Store on August 8 at 10:00 MHQ time. Pick yours up HERE, because they will only be in stock until 10:00 MHQ time on Friday, August 9! Our latest Myth will be spotted bouncing around to Greenies, Earth Mystery Munzees, and 4 shades of Brown Virtuals every 12 hours or when capped.

Each Nymph is numbered and will be owned by a Munzee player. You can pick this Myth up for only $15! Just be sure to set your reminders for 10:00 MHQ time tomorrow to snag one! The sale is open to anyone regardless of other Mythological ownership. Only ONE (1) Nymph Munzee is allowed per account.

  • Capture: 200
  • CapOn: 100

Since the Nymph is listed a lower price point than some of the other Myth Munzees, it will not include the ability to “nudge” or be renamed. With the usage of a Bouncer Upgrade Credit, you will be able to give nudge and renaming abilities to your Nymph, as well as the ability to land on shades of Green Virtual Munzees. This new upgrade feature will make the Nymph more likely to be captured, with 9 additional colored virtual landing pads being added. You can find the full list of what the Nymph bounces to below.

The upgrade credit will also give you the ability to “nudge” your Nymph Munzee to a new munzee up to three times a day, following the MHQ 24-hour day, after it has been on its host munzee for at least three hours. This nudging ability is only available for the owner via the munzee’s webpage and is not available in the app.

Your munzee will still retain its unique number, but feel free to get creative when it comes to renaming your Nymph Munzee! Just be sure to follow the Player Code of Conduct, and remember Munzee maintains a family-friendly environment.

Guess Who’s Getting Married?! Engagement Specials!

Impending nuptials mean one thing in the the world of Munzee! Okay, maybe two things— a joyous celebration of love AND, more importantly (?), new Munzee specials!! After witnessing Louise and the InternationElles accomplish amazing feats for females in sports, Rob popped the question, and now we’re popping some specials onto the map today at 15:00 MHQ time time to celebrate Rob and Louise!

The She Said YES Munzee is a special physical and virtual Munzee Owned Bouncer that will bounce to Flat Robs, Flat Lous, Diamonds, Greenies, and Pink Virtuals every 8 hours or when capped. There will be 2,019 of these special Munzees on the map to celebrate a very historic year for Rob and Louise! The specials will remain on the map until August 23 at 23:59 MHQ time.

Latest Evolution Prepares to Leap onto the Map!

While some might believe that a frog’s favorite game is croak-et, their game of choice is in fact Munzee! So we decided, what better way to celebrate our amphibian friends than with their own Evolution Munzees? Starting August 1 at 00:01 MHQ time, our brand new Frog Evolutions will be made available through the August MunzPak Subscriptions!

The latest Evolution Munzee will only be available in Physical MunzPak Subscriptions, sold in the Freeze Tag Online Store. However, keep in mind that if any MunzPak orders are placed before August 1 at 00:01 MHQ time, players will be receiving the July MunzPak. The Frog Evolution is a combination of Physicals and Virtuals, with Stages 1-4 bouncing to Physical Munzees and Stage 5 bouncing to Virtual and Physical Munzees.

The 5 stages of the Frog Evolution are as follows:

  • Stage 1: Frog Egg
  • Stage 2: Tadpole
  • Stage 3: Pollywog
  • Stage 4: Froglet
  • Stage 5: Frog (3 Variants)

The stage timeline of the Frog Evolutions will match that of the Butterfly Evolution. The stages will be as follows:

  • Stage 1 to Stage 2: after 4 days
  • Stage 2 to Stage 3: after 14 days
  • Stage 3 to Stage 4: after 10 days
  • Stage 4 to Stage 5: permanent until Reset to stage one

Once the Frog Evolution reaches Stage 4, a temporary POB will be launched. The Pollywog will become the Froglet and remain in place, while the Frog variant will be launched at the same time for the duration of its “lifespan.” Once the Frog Evolution reaches Stage 5, it will stay in place for 8 hours or when captured, and will not be able to be nudged. Once 10 captures or 42 days have elapsed for Stage 5, the Frog will be archived.

The first four stages of the Frog Evolutions will be the same for all players. However, Stage 5 will have the option of emerging as one of three different frog species (the green Tree Frog, blue Poison Dart Frog, or red Tomato Frog) which can bounce to both Physicals and Virtuals. Like the Flower Evolutions, the chance of the Frog Evolution evolving to one of the 3 types changes every time it is reset with the Evolution Reset Credit.

Purchasing the reset credit will set your Evolution back to Stage 1, for a chance for the Frog to evolve to a different species at Stage 5. Although you cannot capture a reset if you have already captured the original, you CAN capture the final level of a reset if it evolves to a different color than your first capture. An easy way to know is, if you see it on the map you can capture it!

Please note that although the first four stages for each are the same, they will count as different special capture icons. Like all Player Owned Bouncers (POBs), the Frog Evolution will be available for multi-capture only as the Level 5 Frog.

The points for the Frog Evolution will be as same as the Butterfly Evolution, with 100 points awarded per Stage 1 deploy.

  • Stage 3: Cap: 45, CapOn: 25
  • Stage 4: Cap: 40, CapOn: 30
  • Stage 4: Cap: 150, CapOn: 50, Host CapOn: 50

Just like real life frogs, the Frog Evolution Munzee sometimes hops to dangerous areas including predator filled waters, and high-speed roadways! Bouncing Frog Evos will be attracted to the following landing pads:

  • Stages 1-3 of Shark
  • Stages 1-3 Submarine Evos
  • Stage 1-3 of Safari Bus Evos
  • Stage 3 only for Muscle Car
  • Earth Mystery
  • Water Mystery
  • Trail Stage One
  • Greenies
  • *Green Colored Virtuals

The Frog Evolution will adhere to normal proximity rules. Stage 1 deploys must be at least 50 feet from any other physical type and 150 feet from your own physical munzees. It will have a normal physical capture radius of 300 feet for Stages 1-4, and a capture radius of 500 feet for Stage 5.

Stage 5 of the Frog Evos will be attracted to Munzee Magnets on Greenies and Virtual Magnets on Green Virtuals. They are NOT blastable. To access the Frog Evolution Munzees, turn on your “Evolution” and “All Expiring Specials” filters. The Frog Evolutions will count toward Evolution Capture and Deploy badges.
