AHOY! Talk Like A Pirate Day is fast approaching, and ye’ve set sail across the bounds of time and space! No it may not be a leap year, but we’re turning back the clock to bring back our Leap Day FlashMOBs from 2024. But the sun has set, and the ships sail across dark tides, so these leaping pirates might look a tad different from a couple years ago.
The bounty battling Night PiRibbit and Night Pogo Pirate are sporting new looks and new landing pads, so read on to learn more!
Night PiRibbit & Night Pogo Pirate
If you’ve captured all the munzees near you, you’ll be happy to discover that your map has been plundered with these returning mateys of mayhem! These FlashMOBs work just like they did for Leap Day 2024, but with a twist! The Night PiRibbit will leap to select virtual types and the Night Pogo Pirate will mask certain physical types. This lively pirate pair is available from NOW through Sunday, October 4th at 23:59 MHQ.

What we mean by “mask” is that they appear on top of a host munzee, similar to a bouncing munzee, but once capped, they do NOT bounce anywhere else. You have “removed” the mask. Stock up on the landing pads and once you deploy them nearby they should receive the leaping pirates.
We’ve also put together a special Pirate Pack featuring all of the landing pads needed to summon a Night PiRibbit and Night Pogo Pirate!

Special Scatter Details
And what’s the aftermath of catching these leaping pirates? They wriggle free from your grip and scatter, leaving chaos in their wake. PiRibbit will leave behind 1-3 Night Seaweed Slimeballs, while Pogo Pirate will drop 1-3 Night Jolly Dodgerballs nearby! Keep your wits about you, mate, so you don’t become their next target!
