When we first launched Community Credits, we asked you to help shape the future of Munzee — and you absolutely delivered! Our very first vote quickly crowned the Virtual Auto Capture Booster as a clear frontrunner, which we just rolled out in yesterday’s blog. Hot on its heels, the CapOn Booster claimed the runner-up spot, and that feature has now joined the game as well. In short: you voted, and we’ve been hard at work making your wishes come true! 💚

Now it’s time for the 2nd round of Community Credits Voting — this time focused on some bigger picture projects that will take more time to develop. As we plan priorities for the new year, we’re excited to see where you want us to invest our energy next.

This round’s options are more ambitious updates and systems that could shape long-term gameplay. Your votes will help us understand which of these ideas the community is most excited about pursuing. Voting will conclude at the end of the month on Sunday, November 30th at 23:59 MHQ.

Turn your high-traffic Virtuals into hot commodities! Trade currently deployed Virtual Munzees with other players so new owners can take over those prime CapOn spots and rake in those points. Note: No real money trades — Zeds only!

🚀 Level-Up Munzees

Give your favorite Munzees some extra love! Level them up through additional gameplay to unlock perks like higher points, better CapOn rewards, increased chances to attract special bouncers, and more.

🎖️ Prestige Badges

For badge hunters who want even more to chase! After earning a badge, work through extra requirements to prestige it from Bronze up through Silver, Gold, and even Diamond tiers for ultimate bragging rights.

Give your Daily Stroll a glow-up! Potential improvements include smarter Star scattering (like choosing a direction or radius) and other tweaks to make your daily walk-and-cap routine more fun and flexible.

🎟️ How to Cast Your Vote

  • Head to the Camp Hub in the Munzee app and tap on the Ballot Box on the tree to open the Community Credits screen.
  • Or visit CuppaZee here to view all proposals and submit your votes directly.
  • You can contribute any number of Community Credits toward one or more options — spread them out or go all-in on your favorites!

Please remember: while Community Credit votes strongly influence our roadmap, these larger projects will take time to design, build, and test. A winning option does not guarantee an immediate release, but it does tell us loud and clear what the community is most excited about.

👎 New: Downvoting Now Available

With this next round of voting, we’re adding a brand-new way to share feedback: downvotes! While it’s easy to see which options are popular, we also want to understand which ideas might be polarizing, controversial, or simply not a good fit for many players.

Now, when you tap into a proposal to vote, you’ll notice a new red button that lets you submit a negative vote. This means you can:

  • Send positive votes to the ideas you’d love to see developed.
  • Send negative votes to the ideas you’d prefer we do not pursue.

Both positive and negative votes will be factored in, and the proposals will reorder automatically based on the combined results. This helps us see not just what’s beloved, but also which ideas might split opinion or raise concerns. Feel strongly about us not working on a specific proposal? Make your voice heard with a downvote and let us know!

This month, the theme was “Haunted Haunts” — we were certainly spoiled for choice when looking at all the creepy-cool designs you’ve created!

🎃 Jack-o’-lantern Garden designed by Sevans and LiamCEvans in Broomfield, CO, US
Did you know this garden was designed by a father and son team? In addition, the impressive size of this garden was YEARS in the making at OVER 1,000 pins! We had featured it before in 2019, but as it wasn’t complete at the time, it could not win GOTM. We’re happy to see that the garden continued to grow and reap its reward today! While larger gardens understandably take a longer time to fill, we hope that doesn’t discourage those of you who enjoy designing them — more pins means the potential for more detail!

🪦 At night in the cemetery… designed by microx in Dresden, Saxony, DE
This design definitely stood out — or should we say, rose out (from the grave)! The wooden cross appears 3D thanks to the use of Virtual Browns strategically placed along the sides of the main Clan Weapon face. We also love the detail of the Naudiz Norse Zodiacs, with their deeper gray color, as the nails of the undead hand! Lastly, the freshly turned soil is made much more interesting with a HUGE assortment of munzee types — definitely a treasure trove unearthed for the players who are lucky enough to visit!

This garden is a good size for players to hand-cap — and it’s such a fun detail that the rows of Pumpkins and Spaghetti that the scarecrow is guarding is part of its own body!

In contrast, we also love gardens that make use of just one type of munzee — of course, Virtual Colors tend to be a popular choice due to the range of colors available. This dynamic garden design definitely caught our eye with its bright blue coloring. We love the attention to detail as Catapults were used to create the wood texture of the hockey stick, and Surprises were used to show the blades of the ice hockey skates. Could the Sir Prize Wheel be standing in for the puck? You’ll have to ask CapJaxCrew!

A simple garden design is elevated by unique pin choices! Instead of using one of the purple Virtual Colors, Flat Cats were used for the ribbon. Similarly, instead of using green Virtual Colors, the Virtual Geologgers Reseller munzees were used, which is very fitting as they were our Authorized Reseller based in Australia.

We love this sweet and simple garden honoring our new mascot, introduced just last year with the launch of the Daily Stroll. jesperdagelet has done a great job translating his image into garden form, using 6 shades of white, gray, black, and blue for his face, 5 shades of green for his mane, and 5 shades of yellow, orange, and brown for his horn — with the Virtual Garden Places pin at the very tip!

This festive-looking cupcake is eye-catching due to the fun sprinkle colors chosen by CapJaxCrew! If you look closer, other fun details emerge, such as the sparkler candle made out of Jellyfish Evolutions, and the pleats of the cupcake wrapper made from Crossbows! It’s making us want to raid the pantry and whip up a batch of our very own colorful treats!

The rising temps can make even the simplest of tasks a chore — but looking at a beautiful watery scene, such as your themed garden designs, can help us feel a little more comfortable. For June, the theme was “Just Keep Swimming” — though beach- and ocean-themed designs have always been popular, we also opened things up to bodies of water and even swimming pools!

We love the use of Peas Evos in combination with various shades of green virtuals to create her tail — the shape of the pea pod on the pin does impart a fish scale effect, which we found very clever! Additional small touches, like the the Virtual Citrine flanked by 3 Carrot Evos on her head, perhaps representing a jeweled hair comb, make this Mermaid a bit fancier than the one we currently have in the game!

This bright pink octopus is quite an impressive size — kudos to everyone who helped to fill it up! The different shades of pink virtuals give the body dimension — as well as the other munzee types, such as Zodiacs, Jewels, Elementals, Flats, and Evos. It’s a great one for triggering scatters, as they will surely be caught by this garden’s tentacles — or its rather bulbous body!

🎂 July 2025 GOTM Theme – “Birthday Bash“

July’s theme will focus on our favorite designs from past birthdays! The garden can of course, be in honor of the Munzee app’s own birthday, but we’d also love to see gardens honoring individual players’ birthdays as well!

🏅 August 2025 GOTM Theme – “MVPs” — UPDATED REQUIREMENT

August’s theme will revolve around the world of sport. MVPs are often found at the highest levels of sporting competitions. We’d like to see how our MVP Garden Builders translate this into Gardens around the world!

🧺 September 2025 GOTM Theme – “Share the Harvest“

September’s theme will focus on popular fall foods! Think pumpkin spice-flavored everything, delicious baked goods or for the adventurous — a local dish you’d like to introduce us to! We’re sure you’ll make our mouths water!

👻 October 2025 GOTM Theme – “Haunted Haunts“

October’s theme will focus on the classically spooky! Think ghosts, skeletons, pumpkins, and horror icons! We dare to be scared — but make sure your designs are still family-friendly for the younger players!

🌐 November 2025 GOTM Theme – “World of Wonders“

November’s theme will focus on everything Around ZEE World! Think famous landmarks, different cultures, or global travel! Munzee is a worldwide adventure after all, so we’d love to see more gardens showing that off!

🎄 December 2025 GOTM Theme – “Festive Foliage“

December’s theme will focus on all that is merry and bright! Think holiday trees, ornaments, gifts, and other symbols of seasonal celebrations! It’s the most wonderful time of the year, so we can’t wait to see how you light up the map!

Our geocaching friends have their annual celebration in Morgantown, West Virginia and we want to join in the fun! Join Rob and Seemyshell at GeoWoodstock XXI as well as a few player hosted Munzstock events from Thursday, May 22 to Sunday, May 25.
