December 2022 Clan Wars Requirements

Level 6 Coming Soon **REQUIREMENTS AND REWARDS UPDATED BELOW**

Similar to last month, we wanted to let you know that there will be a Level 6 released again this month, but the final requirements and rewards will not be revealed until December 1st. This will give us time to review the results of the previous battle and make any final updates before revealing them to you all. We appreciate your patience as we fine tune the difficulty here!

We’re also playing with some changes to the types of requirements to shake things up a bit and provide some variety. You may notice the return of MOB vs POB capture requirements! For those of you who aren’t as familiar with those terms, POB stands for Player Owned Bouncers and include Myths, Mechz, etc. MOB stands for Munzee Owned Bouncers and include Nomads and the Jukebox Specials, but not their record scatters since those don’t bounce. We’ve also put more of a focus on Jewels this month, so make sure to use your Jewel Shards to craft the ones you need!

As usual, you’ll find the latest details to our clan requirements and rewards in the clan section of our app. There have been a few issues with activity not counting for some players in the opening minutes of the clan war. Please be sure to give our servers a bit of time to switch from Clan Wars OFF to Clan Wars ON. 🙂 This will ease frustration, just 10 or 15 minutes will make all the difference. We’re happy everyone is so anxious to get started on the 3rd of each month! In addition: Please do not change your clan membership for at least 2 hours after the month ends. The calculations are still being made and it could ruin your efforts.

It is possible that we could update clan requirements prior to December 3 and reserve the right to do so. The final requirements and rewards will always be shown in the app. All of this is up in the air based on how situations continue to change worldwide based on COVID-19.

December ClanPak

Last year, we introduced the ClanPak! While MunzPaks started as a product to aid in Clan Wars, they have transitioned over time. Sometimes you may need a few things to help meet Clan War Requirements, (i.e. magnets, QRowbars, etc.) and reach your goals.

There is a limit of one per player per product/month. You can purchase the December ClanPak HERE! This is NOT a subscription program.

Level 1

Individual

  • At least 5 days of activity
  • At least 5,000 total points
  • At least 5 Bouncer captures

Clan: in addition to the above individual requirements

  • At least 70,000 total points
  • At least 250 total captures
  • At least 15 total deploys

December Badges

Your Clan can earn monthly badges to earn for reaching distinct levels of Clan Wars each month. You won’t be able to earn a badge until the entire clan has reached the specified level. There will be a total of 6 badges available in December. The first badge will appear as follows:

Overall Clan Notes:

Please keep in mind Levels 4 & 5 are considered advanced gameplay and not recommended for brand new players. Level 6 especially is reserved for the elite hardcore players, not for the faint of heart! Be aware when allowing new players to join your clans. QRew/ZeeQRew status will be required for any clans earning levels 3, 4 & 5. See qualifications for ZeeQRew here. If you are not a member on December 1st you will not be able to qualify until December 15th. If you lose qualification before the 15th you will not be able to qualify until January 1st.

*Claimed QRates will not carry over from before the clan battle starts. The QRate must be found, opened, and claimed during the month of the current clan battle. This time period begins on the 3rd, same as the clan battle.

*All shards may be redeemed at https://www.munzee.com/redeem
Total points include Cap, Deploy, and CapOn of all types.
Reseller caps/deploys include all types of RUM/vRUM/reseller card but NOT reseller gnomes or any scatters.
Bouncer captures include any POB, MOB, or TOB (even the temporary POB).
POB stands for Player Owned Bouncers, like Myths and Mechz.
MOB stands for Munzee Owned Bouncers, like Jukeboxes, but not their record scatters.
TOB stands for Team Owned Bouncers, like the Rainbow Unicorn.
Social and Personal will not count for Deploy requirements.
Social and Universal will not count for total Capture requirements.
Personal and Universal will not count for Physical points of any sort.

Hints for how to play during Stay Home orders:
Use the swap feature for brand new virtual deploys.

Watch the online store for sales during the month to help meet your goals.
Use evolution reset credits to get new CapOn points from OLD deploys (they do NOT count as new deploys)

December 2022 Skin: Gifting Flamingo

As the month comes to a close, we wanted to make sure you were heading into December with your desired Flamingos! The skin for completing your November capture streak (and the corresponding badge), which is the Gobbling Garden Flamingo shown below, will be awarded in early December. But, we couldn’t wait to share what’s in store for next month!

November Flamingo Reminders

If you haven’t picked up a Flamingo yet, they are available in the Freeze Tag Store for $2.

How to have a permanent Flamingo on your account next year:

  • Own at least 8 Flamingos by the end of the year
    • Each month, the price of a Flamingo will decrease by $1.
    • However, players can only purchase 1 Flamingo every 28 days.

Where to stock up on Flamingos if you missed out on earlier months:

  • Reseller Garden Flamingos include the base Flamingo AND the special Reseller skin — if you’re interested, you can check out our blog post on them HERE!

What Flamingo Skin can you look forward to earning in December? The generous Gifting Garden Flamingo! Like the other flamingos, the Gifting Garden Flamingo is a temporary POB that will remain on the map as long as players with permanent Garden Flamingos continue to use it.

These flamingo scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

November 2022 GOTM Winners

This month we kicked things off with a new Zodiac Munzee line — the Celtic Zodiacs! We’ve always been fans of the intricate Celtic Knots as you may have noticed in our Shamrock badge line, so it was fun to delve a bit deeper with this new line of munzees. Other than that, Candy Crypt specials finished their run at the end of the week.

The next week, we made some much-requested reductions in proximity requirements to certain Places munzees. A few days later, we released our lyrical Jukebox specials, with the first 9 records to collect! As promised, we also had a ZEE-Dayz / Double Points Weekend on Greeting Cards to celebrate humbird7!

Just last week, we released more information on the Rob AstZee skin, asked for your ideas on new Jukebox Records to release in December, dropped the Merry Miser Mailbox, the 2nd set of Jukebox Records, Operation: Turkey Trample, and brought back Flat DHS Scatters.

We are now happy to announce the winners of the November Gardens of the Month (GOTM)! The badges will be awarded by early December, but we couldn’t wait to share the winners we’ve chosen!

November GOTM

This month, we couldn’t resist letting the Jukebox specials guide us in our choices. Remember that all winning GOTM organizers and all players who deployed in the winning gardens will be awarded special badges for their contribution to growing the map. This month we’re happy to award The Yellow Submarine garden, designed by Waves117, and the John – the Fab 4 / 1 TÜ garden, designed by geckofreund, as our winning November GOTM! The gardens appear as follows:

The Yellow Submarine by Waves117 in Sheringham, Norfolk, England

The use of various Egyptian Zodiacs to create the periscope adds dimension and is a clever way to achieve a similar yellow color to the main body.

Here’s a note from the player who designed this garden:

With Sheringham being a seaside town and already having a few Seaside related munzee gardens, it seems only appropriate to continue the trend………….. and so the Yellow Submarine was created.

Since The Zeetles just put out their newest hit, Evo Submarine, we just HAD to choose this garden as one of the winners this month!

Kudos to Waves117 for creating such a timely garden! You may recall Waves117 also designed two other past GOTM winners, which were also seaside-themed as she wrote: Horatio the Hermit Crab, and Sandcastle in Sheringham Norfolk UK. Her gardens have definitely made Sheringham a coastal wonderland!

John – the Fab 4 / 1 TÜ by geckofreund in Tübingen, Germany

The garden is composed of Citrines and Onyxes, which definitely was a smart choice as the centerpiece for an October event — they awarded Pumpkoins! WE also love the Sir Prize Wheels sprinkled throughout as they also resemble the overall design.

Here’s a note from the player who nominated this garden:

John was the first of the Fab4 Gardens in Tübingen. Meanwhile, Ringo, Paul & George have also been published. In October 2022, the Beatles will be serenading us at the event.

This garden was nominated all the way back in March, and it definitely caught our eyes as it is stylish in its minimalism, and also manages to be a recognizable representation of John Lennon. We’re sure that the ?Wilder Süden Part 10 – Yesterday event which featured this garden was a smash hit! We also can’t wait to see the other 3 gardens once they’ve been completed — it’ll be like the Mount Rushmore of the Munzee Map!

All players who deployed in the respective winning gardens will receive the following special badges:

Rules for GOTM nominations:

  1. Garden must feature non-licensed character designs.
  2. The garden must feature a Garden Places Pin.
  3. The garden must be built using a publicly available spreadsheet which we will ask to be locked after being 100% deployed.
  4. We’re asking for ongoing nominations and we will release the winners throughout the year.

Flat DHS Scatters Return for World TV Day!

We’re enjoying the retro vibes that the Jukebox specials have brought to the Munzee world, so naturally our minds turned to another retro-inspired gamepiece — the Flat DHS! Looking at the calendar, we noticed that another perfect day to feature it was coming up: World TV Day on Monday! So, we’re bringing back the Flat DHS scatters for a short time!

Limited Time Scatter Details

From the period of Saturday, November 19th at 00:01 MHQ through Monday, November 21st at 23:59 MHQ, when you capture a Flat DHS, up to 3 Tapes may be scattered nearby!

As before, the Tapes will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Flat DHS owner’s account. This means that unlike Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn points for the owner! They expire after 120 minutes, have a capture radius of 300 feet, and you’ll be able to use Rover Treats to capture them as well! These tape scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

The rewards for Tapes are as follows:

  • Capture: 50 points
  • CapOn: 25 points

Jam Out to NEW Jukebox Specials!

Has the holiday music started playing where you live? We’re still a few weeks out from National Jukebox Day, but we figured it wouldn’t hurt to start up what will be our longest-running specials since quite a while — they are live NOW until 23:59 MHQ time on January 8th!

Look forward to seeing Munzee-fied versions of classic hits! These specials will be released in waves, but will end at a total of 1,500 Diner Jukeboxes and 1,500 Soda Fountain Jukeboxes.

They will bounce around every 4 hours or when capped.

These specials will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture a Jukebox on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Jukebox visits you. These munzees will not be blastable. They will be attracted to magnets, available from the Freeze Tag Online Store. You can access the Jukebox specials under the “All Expiring Specials” and “All Limited Specials” filters.

When a Jukebox is captured, it will scatter up to 1 Jukebox Record for regular players, and up to 3 Jukebox Records for Premium Members. At launch each Jukebox has the potential to scatter different records, and more records will appear as the months go on, so make sure to keep an eye out!

While we want to keep most of the records a surprise right now, here’s a sneak peek at one of them:

These scatters will be worth 50 points per capture and visible to any player! They expire after 30 minutes, have a capture radius of 300 feet, and you’ll be able to use Rover Treats to capture them as well!

Currently, there are 7 new badges to earn:

  • The 1st line has 3 badges which are based on the total number of captures of Jukeboxes and Jukebox Records. You can see the title and description of the first badge in this line below.
  • The 2nd line also has 3 badges, and they are based on the number of unique Jukebox Records captured. You can see the title and description of the first badge in this line below.
  • We’ll keep the 3rd line — aka the final badge — a secret for now! is a secret no longer!

Since, as mentioned above, more records will appear as the months go on, at launch it is only possible to earn the 1st badge in the 2nd line.

November 2022 Clan Wars Requirements

Level 6 Remains   **REQUIREMENTS AND REWARDS UPDATED BELOW**

Last month we made some changes to make earlier levels easier for new players and smaller clans to achieve, while adding some more difficult challenges to higher levels for hardcore players to work towards! We will be continuing to make adjustments as we collect more data and feedback from you all! As such, we wanted to let you know that there will be a Level 6 released again this month, but the final requirements and rewards will not be revealed until November 1st. This will give us time to review the results of the previous battle and make any final updates before revealing them to you all. We appreciate your patience as we fine tune the difficulty here!

Exciting Update Coming Soon

We’re prepping a game changing update that should positively impact gameplay moving forward! Right now if you capture a bouncer sitting on a Munzee you haven’t captured before, it would only show that you captured that bouncer, even though it marks both the bouncer and landing pad as captured. This means you lose the opportunity to capture the landing pad as its own type. For example, if a Unicorn lands on a Shamrock you haven’t captured before, you only see a notification and get points for the Unicorn capture and the Shamrock disappears from the map. We’re going to fix that 🙂

Once this update is pushed live, if a Unicorn lands on a Shamrock you haven’t captured before, you can capture that Unicorn first! Then the Shamrock will remain on the map for you to capture separately. This should also be retroactive, so if there were any bouncers you had captured in the past that were sitting on types you hadn’t captured yet, they should reappear on the map for you to capture as its own type! This will also be applied to QRewzees and SleepZees, as well as scatters such as Charges from Electric Mysteries!

This update will be pushed live sometime on November 1st, which will allow us to monitor and make any updates before Clan Wars starts on November 3rd. If you’re lucky, you may notice some new types popping up near you to capture around then!

 

As usual, you’ll find the latest details to our clan requirements and rewards in the clan section of our app. There have been a few issues with activity not counting for some players in the opening minutes of the clan war. Please be sure to give our servers a bit of time to switch from Clan Wars OFF to Clan Wars ON. 🙂 This will ease frustration, just 10 or 15 minutes will make all the difference. We’re happy everyone is so anxious to get started on the 3rd of each month! In addition: Please do not change your clan membership for at least 2 hours after the month ends. The calculations are still being made and it could ruin your efforts.

It is possible that we could update clan requirements prior to November 3 and reserve the right to do so. The final requirements and rewards will always be shown in the app. All of this is up in the air based on how situations continue to change worldwide based on COVID-19.

November ClanPak

Last year, we introduced the ClanPak! While MunzPaks started as a product to aid in Clan Wars, they have transitioned over time. Sometimes you may need a few things to help meet Clan War Requirements, (i.e. magnets, QRowbars, etc.) and reach your goals.

There is a limit of one per player per product/month. You can purchase the November ClanPak HERE! This is NOT a subscription program.

Level 1

Individual

  • At least 5 days of activity
  • At least 5,000 total points
  • At least 5 Bouncer captures

Clan: in addition to the above individual requirements

  • At least 70,000 total points
  • At least 250 total captures
  • At least 15 total deploys

NOTE – Along with the update to allow for players to capture the bouncer and landing pad separately, you may notice a change to how credits are tallied for the Total Captures requirement. We discovered that it was incorrectly giving credit for 2 Total Captures each time 1 Bouncer was captured. Starting in November, capturing 1 Bouncer will only count for 1 Total Capture. If the landing pad hasn’t been captured before, then it can be captured separately afterwards, adding 1 Total Capture to the overall tally.

November Badges

Your Clan can earn monthly badges to earn for reaching distinct levels of Clan Wars each month. You won’t be able to earn a badge until the entire clan has reached the specified level. There will be a total of 6 badges available in November. The first badge will appear as follows:

Overall Clan Notes:

Please keep in mind Levels 4 & 5 are considered advanced gameplay and not recommended for brand new players. Level 6 especially is reserved for the elite hardcore players, not for the faint of heart! Be aware when allowing new players to join your clans. QRew/ZeeQRew status will be required for any clans earning levels 3, 4 & 5. See qualifications for ZeeQRew here. If you are not a member on November 1st you will not be able to qualify until November 15th. If you lose qualification before the 15th you will not be able to qualify until December 1st.

*Claimed QRates will not carry over from before the clan battle starts. The QRate must be found, opened, and claimed during the month of the current clan battle. This time period begins on the 3rd, same as the clan battle.

*All shards may be redeemed at https://www.munzee.com/redeem
Total points include Cap, Deploy, and CapOn of all types.
Reseller caps/deploys include all types of RUM/vRUM/reseller card but NOT reseller gnomes or any scatters.
Bouncer captures include any POB, MOB, or TOB (even the temporary POB).
Social and Personal will not count for Deploy requirements.
Social and Universal will not count for total Capture requirements.
Personal and Universal will not count for Physical points of any sort.

Hints for how to play during Stay Home orders:
Use the swap feature for brand new virtual deploys.
Use the online map to deploy virtuals worldwide or find gardens to deploy in on social media groups.
Watch the online store for sales during the month to help meet your goals.
Use evolution reset credits to get new CapOn points from OLD deploys (they do NOT count as new deploys)

Flat Cat Scatters to Celebrate National Cat Day!

Whether you’re a cat person or not, there’s no denying that cats are the animals we associate most with spooky season — after all, they are the preferred pet of witches (especially black ones) — though owls, with their ominous hoots, are a close second (but aren’t they basically just cats with wings?). It’s even more fitting then, that National Cat Day is on October 29th, so we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to have some fun with Mari’s Flat Cats!

Limited Time Scatter Details

From the period of Thursday, October 27th at 12:00 MHQ through Sunday, October 30th at 23:59 MHQ, when you capture Flat Cats, up to 3 Cat Toys may be scattered nearby!

The Cat Toys will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Flat Cats owner’s account. This means that unlike Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn points for the owner! They expire after 120 minutes, have a capture radius of 300 feet, and you’ll be able to use Rover Treats to capture them as well! These Cat Toy scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

The rewards for Cat Toys are as follows:

  • Capture: 50 points
  • CapOn: 25 points

Bee-Ball Bouncers for Sports Fans!

Basketball season officially kicked off last week, so if all of the Halloween-themed releases aren’t your thing, perhaps you’ll enjoy shooting some some Bee-Ball with your favorite Freeze Tag Mascot!

Bee-Ball Bouncer Details

The Bee-Ball Bouncers are temporary POBs that will remain on the map until 23:59 MHQ on December 31, 2022 — when it will be automatically archived on your account. You may recall that this is similar to the Baby Animals, or most recently, the Mad Hatter Garden Gnome.

You can choose between the Munzee Mascot or the WallaBee Mascot as you’ll see below. If you’re interested in scouting a single player, both, or even wish to form a whole team, you can do so HERE!
