ZeeOps- OPERATION: LAUNCH

We’re proud to announce that ZeeOps is LIVE! Learn more at https://zeeops.munzee.com/.

You can begin scheduling your operations today by going to munzee.com/ops. Based on how much ZeeCred you have acquired so far, you can schedule Basic, Advanced, Mega and Ultra Ops.

You’ll be able to complete the current campaign of Operations until the first of next month when a new set will go live. Remember that ZeeOps rewards change every month, so complete as much of these first Operations as you can.

Premium members have been awarded 50 ZeeCred and you can purchase more at https://store.munzee.com/collections/zeeops Normally you’ll be able to buy 25 ZeeCred for $5, but in celebration of the ZeeOps launch we have lowered the price to $2.50 for the first week.

Remember that you can still earn ZeeCred by capping ZeeOps specials until March 6th and you’ll be able to earn ZeeCred from Prize Wheel munzees from here on out. You will also earn ZeeCred as you complete Operations.

How To Schedule Your Operations:

1. To begin your operations go to munzee.com/ops. Here you will see your current and upcoming operations. This is also where you can start new operations.

You’ll have the choice between Basic, Advanced, Mega and Ultra Ops. These are 3, 7, 10 and 14 days respectively. Certain operations will require more difficult missions.

2. Once you have chosen your operation length you’ll pick the date you want the operation to begin. Remember, operations are based on MHQ time and can’t overlap so plan your month precisely.

After the date has been added you will begin choosing missions. Agents are required to complete distinct daily missions depending on the operation.

3. Missions Levels vary on the intensity of the required task and certain operations can only access certain missions.

Basic Ops only offer level one missions.
Advanced Ops offer level one and two missions.
Mega Ops offer up to level 3, but players are also required to choose a minimum of two level 3 missions.
Ultra Ops feature Levels 1-4 but also require players to choose at least two Level 3 and Level 4 missions.

4. Once you have all of your missions planned start the operation and prepare for your first daily mission. You’ll have to finish all of your chosen missions to complete the operation.

Each time you complete an operation you’ll be rewarded a variety of munzees as well as additional ZeeCred. These rewards will change each month so keep completing new operations each month to earn more!

This month’s Operations and rewards:

Basic Op- For ZeeOps agents in training. These operations feature missions perfect for beginners. Includes only Level 1 Missions.
Duration: 3 days
Cost: 25 Zee Creds
Rewards: 1 diamond, 2 virtuals and 2 virtual colors, with 5 Zee Creds

Advanced Op- To agents that have mastered their training, these operations should prove challenging. Includes Levels 1 and 2 Missions.
Duration: 7 days
Cost: 50 Zee Creds
Rewards: 1 diamond, 1 amethyst, 2 MVM and 2 virtual colors, with 10 Zee Creds

Mega Op- Planning and patience will be key for agents hoping to tackle these difficult operations. Includes Levels 1, 2 and 3 Missions. Agent must choose a minimum of two Level 3 Missions.
Duration: 10 days
Cost: 100 Zee Creds
Rewards: 1 diamond, 1 ruby, 1 sapphire, 1 amethyst, 5 MVM and 5 virtual colors, with 25 Zee Creds

Ultra Op- WARNING: Only the most expert of agents can handle these 2 week long operations. Featuring the most difficult missions, these ZeeOps are not for novice agents. Includes Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 Missions. Agent must choose a minimum of two Level 3 Missions and two Level 4 Missions.
Duration: 14 days
Cost: 250 Zee Creds
Rewards: 2 diamond, 2 ruby, 2 sapphire, 2 amethyst, 5 MVM and 5 virtual colors, with 50 Zee Creds

Server Migration TOMORROW

Tomorrow, February 28th, we will be migrating our servers. Beginning at 10:00 MHQ time, all Munzee services including, but not limited to, the Munzee app, store and website, the Eventzee app and website, and the WallaBee app and website, will be offline. This migration is scheduled to last roughly three hours, but it may take more or less time than the estimate that our AWS partner has provided us.

Please make arrangements to complete any gameplay you need to, such as clan requirements or streaks, before this time. If there is an extended outage, we will ensure protections against loss of streaks, etc.

ZeeOps begin March 1st!

Agent, it’s up to you to go undercover and save the day.

At long last we are proud to announce the creation of ZeeOps- single player campaign missions to complete for rewards. These Operations work much like individual Clan Wars, but feature a variety of Mission levels. Missions range in difficulty and require a variety of Munzee skills.

ZeeOps will officially go live on March 1st at 10:00 MHQ Time and you can begin your missions on March 2nd.

More “How To” information will be released in the coming days through debriefings leading up to the launch of the Operations Dashboard. This dashboard will be where you can plan out your Operations and Missions each month. Currently there are four different Operation lengths each including varying levels of Missions. You’ll schedule out your Missions for each Operation in advance so prepare accordingly.

Whether it’s taking out members of the Mean Green Gang or acquiring rare gems and jewels it’s up to you to complete the Missions in the required amount of time. New sets of covert Operations are released monthly so schedule your time wisely.

To start ZeeOps you’ll have to earn ZeeCred. The cost of the ZeeOp depends on the duration of that Operation. Starting March 1st you’ll be able to purchase ZeeCred in the Munzee Online Store and you’ll also earn more by completing Operations. All Premium members will be awarded 50 ZeeCred on March 1st as well so make sure your membership is renewed at https://store.munzee.com/products/premium-membership.

In connection with the release of ZeeOps we’re also pleased to announce that ~~007~~ 700 specials will be on the map to help you take your first steps toward becoming an agent. These ZeeOp icon specials will launch at 00:01 MHQ time on Thursday, February 23rd and end at 23:59 MHQ time on Sunday, March 5th. The specials will bounce on greenies every six hours or when capped and both capper and owner will earn points and extra ZeeCred. You’ll also earn the limited edition Operation: Launch badge for capturing one of these specials.

ZeeOps is a long time coming (more than a few thousand hours) and all of MHQ is super excited to give our players even more ways to play. Maintenance and Database Transition

Hey, everybody!

As you may have noticed, some Munzee services have had a slower response time than normal. That is something that you, nor we, like. We are beginning a process to transfer our databases and servers. That process begins with some emergency maintenance tonight (February 20th) at 21:00 MHQ time. This maintenance should last roughly one hour.

Over the next seven to ten days, there may be outages or downtime that affect gameplay as changes and transfers are made. If we know about these potential outages, we will provide notice in advance here on the blog. If an outage is spontaneous, we will do our best to post an update on our status page within five minutes. You can sign up to receive SMS or email messages when an incident is reported, updated, and resolved on that page.

While we can’t give any specific time frames for some of these potential outages, we will continue to update you with the information that we receive from our AWS partners as we make these changes.

We apologize in advance for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience. All of this is to make the game the best it can be and continue to push forward with our 2017 theme. Everyone. Everywhere.

UPDATE: Coinz Of The Month Club

WOW- The first signup for the Coinz Of The Month Club was a HUGE hit and ended in mere minutes. Unfortunately mere minutes isn’t nearly enough time to give everyone a chance to purchase so our supply definitely didn’t meet demand. Admittedly we wanted to roll this new subscription service out slowly, but the response has been overwhelming and we will have to plan accordingly.

We have already ordered more of January’s Coinz. Unfortunately since there is such a long production time those Coinz will not be available for a few weeks. To make up for this we will put the next round of January Coinz for sale in the Munzee Online Store once we have received them.

NOTE that this will not add you to the Club subscription, this will be just to purchase those Coinz.

Based on the excitement around Coinz the MHQ staff are working hard to reconfigure this subscription experience, so stay tuned for more info!

Coinz Of The Month Club

We’re proud to announce the latest addition to the MunzPak family: The Coinz of The Month Club! This monthly subscription service features two unique munzee game coins each month. The enamel coins include both a munzee coin code as well as an Extagz code. These limited edition items will come in a variety of fun designs and will be exclusive to this club. For $15 USD per month, you get a minimum of $20 worth of products.

Space for the Coinz Of The Month Club is very limited so subscriptions are on a first come, first served basis. The first month is limited to the first 100 subscribers, but we plan on expanding the subscription limits in the future.

Just register once and then you will be charged monthly. You don’t have to do anything again. Each month, from the day you registered, we’ll send out your next Coinz Of The Month and it will be on your door or in your inbox as fast as the Munzee elves can get it there. Or at least as fast as standard mail ships. (NOTE: The monthly cycle begins on the 16th of each month, i.e. new coins and spaces in the service become available on the 16th.)

Alongside new Coins every month, Coinz Of The Month subscribers will also earn an awesome new badge just for joining!

This morning, we made some changes to the /credits page:

Premium Munzees: Premium Munzees are now credits! You no longer have to link your Premium Munzee to a generic to deploy it – just scan a generic to deploy, convert it to a Premium Munzee, and you’re done! We’re also offering Premium Memberships for 10% off in the Munzee Online Store!
Item History: The /credits page now shows the last 100 credits you have earned or purchased.

The Munzee 2017 Theme

In 2017 Team Munzee has big plans that will test our abilities. We are going to spread the word about Munzee far and wide.

Our goal is simple: Everyone. Everywhere.

Our worldwide game gets bigger every day, so we want to include new players and areas as well as continue to grow our current communities. We can’t do it alone, though! With the help of our passionate players, we know even more people worldwide will embrace our game in the year to come.

To kick off the new year we’ve taken some of the photos our Munzee players have uploaded while playing and posted them into this collage of the world. Our game is worldwide in both places and people and 2017 will take that all to the next level.

2016- Letter From The President

2016 was great year for Munzee Inc. and we’re excited to look back on some of the highlights! The “2016 in Review” series will showcase different aspects of the company and some of our team’s favorite parts of 2016.

As I sit and reflect on 2016, I’m not even sure how to encompass the entire year in one quick letter. There have been some amazing moments and some very difficult ones as well. As usual we’ve made some tweaks that have been wildly popular and others that have touched a nerve. Through it all I can honestly look back on the year and see that each choice along the path has lead us to the best possible place to launch into 2017, with an “All In” enthusiasm.

I’ve had the opportunity to visit new locations across the world this year in order to help you spread the word about Munzee. Each trip allows me to meet players that are the core to our game, and I hope you know that our interactions mean the world to me. I enjoy hearing the stories of improved health, weight loss, and how Munzee has introduced you to a worldwide community of people you now call friends. The same is true for me. Physically I’m in the best shape of the past 20 years, due in no small part to our MunzFit initiative. You can look forward to a renewed focus on this sector of our game in 2017. I currently have plans to send members of the team to events all over the world, with announcements being prepared for the upcoming months. Here’s a sneak peek for a few we will attend, and others we already have our eyes on as possibilities. If you would like to be considered for a visit by Team Munzee get your event on the calendar soon and start promoting it! We are quickly finalizing details on a unique location and opportunity to celebrate our 6th birthday. However, we want to go ahead and invite you to join the party in Muncie, Indiana from the 21st of July through the 23rd. We are also working on tools for you to use to reach out to your local organizations to spread the word about Munzee. Worldwide events are our main tool to grow this game, so we will invest our resources in streamlining the processes and providing you even more necessary tools to be amazing!

I’ve been fortunate to present donations to several charitable organizations on behalf of our worldwide player base. It is part of the mission of Munzee to build strong communities, and this giving back is our way of doing this locally and globally. In 2017 you will see our charity-based focus continue to shine through. This is core to who we are and what we believe Munzee should do. We will continue to look for charities that have the ability to impact global communities. This ties in with our 2017 theme, which will be announced in the coming days.

I’ve been asked to share with you some of the things you can expect from Munzee for 2017. As most of you know, I possess a talent for being completely vague in responding to questions about the future. Many times in the past it is because we literally had not planned beyond the things you already knew about (that’s serious transparency there). I’m proud to say we are approaching 2017 with MANY things already in motion for expansions to current things and introducing new programs alike. *Drumroll please*…I’m excited to announce ZeeOps is almost here! We have been working diligently behind the scenes to bring this to life. The basic premise behind ZeeOps is best described as individual clan wars. There will be an opportunity for you to earn, and purchase, Zee Credits (I’m calling it Zee Cred) to be redeemed for ZeeOps which will contain daily missions. When the ZeeOp (Operation) is completed you will earn rewards. All the details will be released in the next 1000 hours, so get ready for an amazing kick off to 2017. In addition we have been excited about the buzz around our Munzee coin line. We have been working diligently to design new styles and have great news for you early in the New Year about this fun addition to the game. This will include a full explanation of what Coinz are and how to use them. A Roverhaul is being discussed with probable implementation as we enter the MHQ summer months. We will have some awesome monthly themes you will see across the entire company in many facets.

I’m proud of our team and what we have accomplished this year. As in every company individuals come and go from time to time, and we have seen several members of the team move on this year. It was difficult in the moment but the remaining team has stepped in and made the best of every opportunity. I’m fortunate to lead a worldwide family of team members that are motivated everyday to do their best for you, our players. In the end we all want to provide the best experience for you, so you will share our little game with your friends and family. You are our most valuable team member and resource and we remember that daily. In 2017 we will grow our MHQ staff, focusing on the tech team in order to provide more timely updates to our apps and websites. We have invested heavily in our infrastructure in 2016 with plans in 2017 to prepare for, and push on toward 500,000 players worldwide across Munzee Inc games. We will launch an Android version of our popular collection game, WallaBee in early 2017. We will also focus on finding additional partnerships to expand the reach of Munzee.

In closing, I have to say I’m humbled and deeply honored to continue to serve as President of a company that provides the games we do. I will continue to lead our company in line with our mission, to provide innovative apps that build community and make a worldwide impact. If I’ve never had the privilege to interact with you, I hope this year I am able. I’m fairly active in our Facebook groups, occasionally on Twitter or Instagram, and always available via Munzee message (coachV). Additionally, you can find me in my two dimensional version in app anytime I’m away from the office. 🙂 Thank you for the difference you make in my life, and the lives of our team members, through playing one of our “games”. 2016- Eventzee

As Director of Operations for Eventzee, it has been a pleasure seeing this section of the company grow exponentially in its second year. We have worked on so many unique events, seen thousands of amazing photos and pushed our mobile scavenger hunt app to new levels.

So much has happened this year it’s impossible to list everything. Our app had tons of updates including awesome new features and fixes to bugs. We got a much needed website update through the awesome work from front end developer/designer Judy Nguyen.

Eventzee’s goal for 2016 was to find new avenues of business and work with an even greater variety of conferences, festivals and events of all shapes and sizes. By enhancing our outreach efforts we have built relationships with recurring clients and begun developing partnerships with other scavenger hunt companies.

Specifically we would like to thank Distel Wolfe Events, Thrill of The Hunt, and City Fun Group for adapting the Eventzee app into their own companies’ event selections. While Eventzee offers a service for customizable mobile based scavenger hunts, these partners can offer a more hands on approach to developing clues, running events and more. Each of these companies has helped us expand our worldwide player base and also offered invaluable suggestions for making the most out of our app updates.

Perhaps the greatest partnership of all is with our parent company Munzee. With the help of Munzee Events Manager Louise Gibson player events have utilized Eventzee in great ways. Dedicated players have shown how well they can host events of their own with ease and are constantly discovering new ways to play.

While much of our focus went toward growing business, we also continued to enjoy the smiles, laughs and, of course, high fives from our players this year. It’s always a pleasure when we can go to events and see the game in action, so we hope to travel even more next year.

This year alone Eventzee had 262,380 photos taken through the app and we hosted 875 events! We’re so excited for 2017 and all the bigs things to come. Thank you to everyone who made 2016 great- see you next year!
