Like the other Munzee Mechz, the Kitchen S1NK is a temporary POB that will remain on the map until it has been captured 5 times.

Kitchen S1NKs will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture Kitchen S1NKs on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Kitchen S1NK visits you. Kitchen S1NKs are non-blastable. They will be attracted to both Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access Kitchen S1NKs by turning on your “All Expiring Specials” filter.

When a Kitchen S1NK is captured, it will scatter up to 3 Clean Dishes.

These scatters will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Mech owner’s account. This means that unlike Air Mystery Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn points for the owner! They expire after 120 minutes and have a capture radius of 300 feet. These scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

NEW Places Details

Joining the ever-growing roster of Places is the Pharmacy!

We got the idea for this type from you, the players, so we’re confident they’ll be a welcome addition to the game. As with other Places Munzees, these can be captured daily! They will also contribute progress towards the Places Capture badge line and the Places Streak badge line.

December 2022 GOTM Winners

We started off the month indulging our sweet tooth with the final Meal Mech, the Sugar Sentry, in Munzpaks, and the GingerBounce House as the Day 4 delivery in our Merry Miser Mailboxes.

Then, we got to bask in the nostalgia of old Dodgy Jumper photos, 3 sets of holiday Jukebox Records, and past Greeting Card designs that were brought back (with some new ones as well to keep things fresh!).

Just the past week, we started gearing up for Munzee Events in 2023, with the new Event Packages available in the Store and Perfect Host and Perfect Attendee Bouncer info being released. We also got a bit spooky as all of the special ghost scatters visited Merry Miser Mailbox owners — we hope you enjoyed the unique lookback at some of our game pieces — and Flat Flashlight scatters took a dark turn.

We are now happy to announce the winners of the December Gardens of the Month (GOTM)! The badges will be awarded by early January, but we couldn’t wait to share the winners we’ve chosen!

December GOTM

We always get so many beautiful holiday-themed gardens, so it’s difficult for us to choose! Remember that all winning GOTM organizers and all players who deployed in the winning gardens will be awarded special badges for their contribution to growing the map. This month we’re happy to award the Icemen ⛄☃️ in ? love garden, designed by Neloras and Nicolet, and the MOA Christmas Card garden, designed by geomatrix, as our winning December GOTM! The gardens appear as follows:

We love the snowmen’s unique sweater patterns created by Maple Chess Sets and Surprise munzees!

Here’s a note from the player who designed this garden:

Inspiration for this garden is my girlfriend Nicolet, because she is the best and I love her so much.. My first GOTM was Jewels Note and it was also for her, because she loves to sing. Now it is this garden with two snowmen, which can feel the ice love so strong, so they became icemen and they will stand on map together forever like Neloras (me) and Nicolet.

This garden was definitely a staff favorite! Neloras and Nicolet are definitely a sweet couple and their love translates into eye-catching designs on the map! Congratulations on another GOTM win!

This garden is quite unique in that though the overall garden shape is rectangular, the negative/empty space isn’t filled in with Virtual Colors — instead, they opted to let the map be the background.

Here’s a note from the player who designed this garden:

Zeesons greetings from Mall of America gardens!

As the designer’s note implies, this garden is just one of several near the Mall of America, making it a landmark both inside the app and out! We liked this cheerful Christmas card design featuring a waving Santa Claus and his best reindeer Rudolph, and the mix of Night Vision Goggles, Flat Robs, and Peas somehow give the border the effect of Christmas greenery, like holly leaves or mistletoe.

All players who deployed in the respective winning gardens will receive the following special badges:

Rules for GOTM nominations:

  1. Garden must feature non-licensed character designs.
  2. The garden must feature a Garden Places Pin.
  3. The garden must be built using a publicly available spreadsheet which we will ask to be locked after being 100% deployed.
  4. We’re asking for ongoing nominations and we will release the winners throughout the year.

Flat Flashlight Scatters Return for National Flashlight Day!

National Flashlight Day comes but once a year, and now it’s here! If you need a break from collecting Jukebox records or missed out on the badges from last year, we hope these scatters will make the holidays a little brighter!

Limited Time Scatter Details

From the period of Wednesday, December 21st at 12:00 MHQ through Sunday, December 25th at 23:59 MHQ, when you capture a Flat Flashlight, up to 3 Themed Flashlights may be scattered nearby!

As before, the Flashlights will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Flat Flashlight owner’s account. This means that unlike Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn points for the owner! They expire after 120 minutes, have a capture radius of 300 feet, and you’ll be able to use Rover Treats to capture them as well! These flashlight scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

The rewards for Themed Flashlights are as follows:

  • Capture: 50 points
  • CapOn: 25 points

Perfect Host + Perfect Attendee Bouncers!

This year, one of our goals was to encourage the hosting of more Munzee Events! We greatly appreciate all of the hosts who helped us to reach this goal, and all of the attendees for making the events more vibrant and fun. As we promised in last year’s blog post, we’ve created exclusive bouncers for Perfect Hosts — those who’ve hosted a Monthly Munzee Event every month this year — and Perfect Attendees — those who’ve attended a Monthly Munzee Event every month this year. These bouncers will be added to your account sometime during the first week of January, along with the badges, which you can see below. Read on to find out more!

Flamingo Floatie Bouncer Details

To show our appreciation to the Perfect Hosts, we’ve created a unicorn that is sure to be the life of the party! The Unicorn Flamingo Floatie has on a tasteful amount of bling, and is ready to move to the music with its guests.

Similarly, we created the Flamingo Floatie for the Perfect Attendees — we thought it would be a fun variation on the flamingo that we haven’t yet done as a bouncer this year.

Below are the point values for both bouncers. As you can see, in addition to having a more complex design, the Unicorn Flamingo Floatie is also worth more points than the Flamingo Floatie by every measure — even when you compare their scatters that appear further down the post. Since the Perfect Hosts invested quite a lot of time and effort into hosting their events, we wanted their bouncer to be a bit more special and valuable.

These bouncers are non-blastable. They will be attracted to both Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access these bouncers by turning on your “All Limited Edition Specials” and “All Expiring Specials” filters.

Badges

There are 4 badges you can earn related to these bouncers. Similar to the Garden Flamingos, they each have “Unique type deploy” and “Unique type capture” badges, which you can see below.

However, please note that these bouncers are NOT Garden Flamingos, so their captures will not contribute to the “Overall deploy” and “Overall capture” lines for Garden Flamingos.

Munzee Events in 2023 Follow-Up

As we mentioned in our social posts last week (FB | TWTR | IG), the theme for events this year is balloons! Not just the simple pear-shaped ones, but also balloon animals and other balloon art! We hope this gives you some ideas for decor, games, and more at your upcoming events — and if you’ve got a balloon animal kit somewhere in the garage or attic, now is the time to dust it off!

For now, these Mechz will be available in this month’s MunzPak only — meaning the deadline to get one is 23:59 MHQ on Saturday, December 31st.

You can find these sweet soldiers standing guard at the following landing pads every 6 hours or when captured:

When a Sugar Sentry is captured, it will scatter up to 3 PepperMinute Men. These will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Sugar Sentry owner’s account. NEW Treefolk Myth Details

Like the other Mythological Munzees, the Treefolk is a permanent POB. Following the Jabberwock, it is the 2nd of a NEW Storyland line of Myths, so expect to see more creative creatures in the future!

Why use a GingerBounce House? This extra special munzee has the following awesome advantages:

  • Perfect for travelers who may want the benefits of a tPOB Pub, but can attract even more bouncer types — not just tPOBs, but many POBs as well!

  • The ability to share the love with other POB owners
  • Achieve POB Clan Wars requirements quicker

  • The regular POB timer is still in effect. If a POB times out, it leaves the GingerBounce House and an open spot becomes available for others
  • Players will see the base icon above for 0, but then a 1-6 (7 for Premium Members) as more POBs stop by

The deploy circle for GingerBounce House will be 4,000 feet (1219.2 m) from the nearest Temporary Bouncer Destination. Capture radius is 1000 feet.

To access the GingerBounce House, turn on your Virtual filter and find it under “Destinations”. If the GingerBounce House is hosting munzees, it can also be visible with the “All Expiring Specials” filter.

December 2022 Skin: Gifting Flamingo

As the month comes to a close, we wanted to make sure you were heading into December with your desired Flamingos! The skin for completing your November capture streak (and the corresponding badge), which is the Gobbling Garden Flamingo shown below, will be awarded in early December. But, we couldn’t wait to share what’s in store for next month!

November Flamingo Reminders

If you haven’t picked up a Flamingo yet, they are available in the Freeze Tag Store for $2.

How to have a permanent Flamingo on your account next year:

  • Own at least 8 Flamingos by the end of the year
    • Each month, the price of a Flamingo will decrease by $1.
    • However, players can only purchase 1 Flamingo every 28 days.

December Flamingo Details

What Flamingo Skin can you look forward to earning in December? The generous Gifting Garden Flamingo! Like the other flamingos, the Gifting Garden Flamingo is a temporary POB that will remain on the map as long as players with permanent Garden Flamingos continue to use it.

As stated earlier, to earn this skin, you’ll need to complete next month’s (December’s) capture streak. Once the skin is awarded in January, you can change the skin on the flamingo to this one at any point — refer to our Help Guide article for the instructions!

You can find these twinkling assistants constructing toys at the following landing pads every 6 hours or when captured:

Additionally, the Gifting Garden Flamingo will scatter up to 3 NEW Holly-day Feathers nearby when it is captured!

Like the other Flamingo Feathers, these scatters will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Flamingo owner’s account. This means that unlike Air Mystery Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn points for the owner! They expire after 120 minutes and have a capture radius of 300 feet. These flamingo scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

As a reminder, Garden Flamingos have 4 associated badge lines:

  • Unique type deploy badges — you’ll need to earn each month’s skin by keeping your streak up!
  • Overall deploy badges — the more flamingos you deploy, the merrier!
  • Unique type capture badges — capture at least 1 of each skinned flamingo!
  • Overall capture badges — capture as many flamingos as you can find!
