This month, the Hybrid and Virtual Paks also include NEW Egyptian Zodiac Munzees, which mark the first set of virtual Zodiacs! We’re very excited to share this new type with you. You can find a breakdown below!

Egyptian Zodiacs

The Egyptian Zodiacs will work similarly to the Western and Chinese Zodiacs in that they will be worth double points when capped and deployed during specific times. Instead of being worth double points during certain days of the week or monthly periods, their time periods vary according to the Egyptian annual cycle (00:01-23:59 MHQ time).

  • Nile: January 1 – 7, June 19 – 28, September 1 – 7, November 18 – 26
  • Amon-Ra: January 8 – 21, February 1 – 11
  • Osiris: March 1 – 10, November 27 – December 18
  • Thoth: April 1 – 19, November 8 – 17
  • Horus: April 20 – May 7, August 12 – 19
  • Seth: May 28 – June 18, September 28 – October 2
  • Anubis: May 8 – 27, June 29 – July 13
  • Sekhmet: July 29 – August 11, October 30 – November 7
  • Mut: January 22 – 31, September 8 – 22
  • Bastet: July 14 – 28, September 23 – 27, October 3 – 17
  • Geb: February 12 – 29, August 20 – 31
  • Isis: March 11 – 31, October 18 – 29, December 19 – 31

We are beginning with the Nile Egyptian Zodiac and will release a new Egyptian Zodiac every month through the Hybrid and Virtual MunzPak subscriptions. Each Egyptian Zodiac Munzee is worth 40 points for Deploy, Capture, and CapOn. Those numbers double to 80 points during each Zodiacs’ specific time period. NOTE: to receive double points on deploys, they MUST be done in the app!

Nile Egyptian Zodiac

Similar to the Cyborg Santa, when an Egyptian Zodiac is captured 1-3 NEW Artifacts will be scattered nearby!

The Artifacts will be visible to ALL players, not just the player who capped the Egyptian Zodiac, and will be deployed on the Egyptian Zodiac owner’s account. This means that unlike Feathers, there are CapOn points for the owner! These artifact scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

The rewards for Artifacts are as follows:

  • Capture: 40
  • CapOn: 20

You will earn a badge for capping or deploying an Egyptian Zodiac Munzee. Here is the badge for the Nile Egyptian Zodiac:

Christmas Critters

Like the Aussie Animals, these Christmas Critters are temporary POBs. Unlike Aussie Animals, they bounce to either physical or virtual munzees, depending on the MunzPak you purchased. They will stay on the map until 23:59 MHQ on December 31, when they will be automatically archived on your account.

  • Deploy: 500 points
  • Capture: 200 points
  • CapOn: 100 points

The fluffy white fur of this cute creature reminded us of a certain someone’s beard. That, along with its height and tendency to steal a certain someone’s hat, has caused momentary cases of mistaken identity! This cuddly Christmas Critter trots to the following:

Despite being extremely clumsy, the baby reindeer has a very useful role to play. Knowing this, it works hard to be in tip-top shape for the annual gift deliveries. This popular Christmas Critter Munzee lights up the following:

  • Greenie
  • Ice Mystery
  • Skyland
  • All Virtual Colors

Christmas Critters will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture a Christmas Critter on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Christmas Critter visits you. In virtual form, Christmas Critters will be non-blastable. They will be attracted to Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access Christmas Critters under the “All Expiring Specials” filter.

Badges

All players who purchase a MunzPak (which will automatically deploy the respective Christmas Critter) will also receive the respective deploy badge shown below:

Lastly, captures of these Christmas Critters will contribute to progress towards its own Christmas Critters badge line. You can sneak a peek at the first of these new badges below!

His antlers may be little more than stumps at the moment, but don’t underestimate his defense! A sharp kick with his tiny hooves can be devastating due to the small surface area! This hard-headed Camp Critter gallops to the following:

You’ll see this critter’s tail before anything else! Although it’s admired for its beautiful, glossy red fur, it is quite shy. But its shyness doesn’t stop it from sneaking around to get what it wants! This wily Camp Critter scurries to the following:

  • All Virtual Colors
  • Air Mystery
  • Campground Places

Hybrid MunzPak

Its cute, innocent expression contrasts with its dragon-like hoarding tendencies! No nut, seed, or shiny thing is safe! Unfortunately, it also tends to forget where its treasures are hidden. This precocious Camp Critter Munzee climbs to the following:

  • Water Mystery

May 2020 MunzPak Contents Revealed!

If you enjoyed last month’s Baby Animals specials but didn’t manage to attain all of the badges, you’ll be happy to hear what’s in this month’s Munzpak! After all, who can resist collecting all of the groovy school supplies featured in each badge’s art? For this month, each Pak includes a NEW Baby Animals Munzee, which is a temporary Player Owned Bouncer! We’re very excited to share these three new types with you. You can find a breakdown below!

MunzPak is a monthly subscription service that delivers munzees directly to your door! Each of our three MunzPak options contain a variety of munzees, including some new items that you won’t be able to find anywhere else! The three different types of MunzPaks that you can subscribe to each month are as follows:

  • Physical MunzPak features blocks of generic stickers and pre-coded stickers including brand new munzees which can only be purchased through the subscription service. $~25 value for $15 each month.
  • Virtual MunzPak features a variety of virtual munzees that are automatically added to your account each month such as Destination Munzees, Jewels, and more. $~40 value for $25 each month.
  • Hybrid MunzPak is the best of both worlds! Get both physical and virtual munzees such as Places Munzees, Magnets, and more. $~30 value for $20.01 each month.

Like the Aussie Animals, these Baby Animals are temporary POBs. Unlike Aussie Animals, they bounce to either physical or virtual munzees, depending on the MunzPak you purchased. They will stay on the map until 23:59 MHQ on June 30, when they will be automatically archived on your account.

  • Deploy: 500 points
  • Capture: 200 points
  • CapOn: 100 points

Hedgehog Baby Animal Munzee
Physical MunzPak

This cutie with a soft underbelly may seem prickly at first, but that’s only because it’s shy! Give it some time to get accustomed to you and it’ll open up! This balled-up Baby Animal rolls to the following:

  • Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Violet, and Rainbow Virtuals

Owlet Baby Animal Munzee

The limpid gaze of this Baby Animal will bore into your soul! But don’t worry, it’s too innocent to understand anything beyond basic emotions. This brainy Baby Animal flies to the following:

  • Air Mystery
  • Electric Mystery
  • Flat Hammock

Polar Bear Baby Animal Munzee
Hybrid MunzPak

A furry friend with quite a sweet tooth, you’ll need to keep it away from the Coca-Cola! This boisterous Baby Animal Munzee crawls to the following:

  • Treehouse
  • Earth Mystery
  • Ice Mystery
  • Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Violet, and Rainbow Virtuals
  • Flat Lou

Baby Animals will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture a Baby Animal on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Baby Animals visits you. In virtual form, Baby Animals will be non-blastable. They will be attracted to Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access Baby Animals under the “All Expiring Specials” filter.

Badges

All players who purchase a MunzPak (which will automatically deploy the respective Baby Animal) will also receive the respective deploy badge shown below:

Lastly, captures of these Baby Animals will contribute to progress towards badges in the Baby Animals Overall Capture line. So if you missed out on some of the badges from the Baby Animal MOBs, you have another two months to earn them by capping these tPOBs! We have added 3 new badges to that line featuring these cute critters. You can sneak a peek at the first of these new badges below!

Remember these temporary POBs will only be available for capture until the end of June, so cap as many as you can and keep them bouncing!
