Holiday Card Collectors Club Dodgy Jumper Photo Contest Gallery

Yesterday was the last day for our Dodgy Jumper Photo Contest, so we’ve gathered up some of the entries for you to enjoy in the gallery below! We received over 150 250 photos which is way more than the usual amount, so to keep this blog post a reasonable length, we’ve just chosen a few of our favorites. Please don’t worry if you don’t see your photo here — as long as you’ve uploaded a photo to your Holiday Mailbox within the period of 00:01 MHQ on December 16 to 23:59 MHQ on December 20, you will receive the badge when it is awarded in early January.

Holiday Card Collectors Club Tier 3 Day 31: Fireworks Show

Tier 3 Holiday Card Collectors Club members have one last surprise! Much like the Snowball Gathering and Christmas Pickle Hunt, upon capturing your Holiday Mailbox, a shower of Fireworks will scatter nearby! To reiterate, the mailbox must be capped on December 31st 00:01-23:59 MHQ time to deploy the Fireworks. They’ll stay on the map for 6 hours after scattering, so try to cap them all within that timeframe!

A total of 20 Fireworks specials will be unleashed! These will only be visible to the Holiday Mailbox owner and will scatter like Feathers. This means there are no CapOn points but they are worth 50 points for capture!

The icon for these specials is the same as the Fireworks Card that Tier 2 and 3 HCCC Members will receive to deploy. To access these specials, please turn on your “Greeting Cards” filter.

Badge

There will be 1 badge for capturing Fireworks. Since there’s only the 1 badge in this line, we want to keep it a secret for now. Hopefully it shouldn’t be too tough for you to get!

Holiday Card Collectors Club ALL Tiers Day 16: Dodgy Jumper Photo Contest

If you’re a long-time Munzee player, you may have been wondering — where’s the Dodgy Jumper contest? Don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten this time-honored tradition! While in past years (2019, 2018, 2017, etc.) we made this a contest for event attendees, we know this year has made it tougher for most players to host and attend. So this year we’re streamlining the entry process: simply add a photo of yourself in a Dodgy Jumper to your Holiday Mailbox within the time period of 00:01 MHQ on December 16 to 23:59 MHQ on December 20.

As long as you follow the rules and put forth some effort, you’ll be awarded the Dodgy Jumpers badge. This year we’ve taken a punny approach to the badge design, as you can see below:

We’ll share some of our favorite player outfits to the official Munzee social media pages as we discover them, but the badge will not be awarded until some time after the 20th. Then we’ll add all of the winners to a gallery here on the Munzee Blog to announce when the badge has been awarded!

Holiday Card Collectors Club Tier 3 Day 13: GingerMech Man

We’re kicking off the 12 days before Christmas with another temporary POB for Tier 3 Holiday Card Collectors Club members! We bet you’re curious to find out all his features and functions, so without further ado…

GingerMech Man Details

As previously stated, the GingerMech Man is a temporary POB. It will deploy on your account when you capture your holiday mailbox on December 13. The mailbox must be capped on December 13th 00:01-23:59 MHQ time to deploy GingerMech Man. Like the Spyderbot, it will stay on the map until it has been captured 5 times, when it will be archived on your account. After the fifth capture a GingerMech Man will be “snapped” which results in more points for the capper.

GingerMech Man will bounce to certain virtual munzees (listed below) for the first 4 captures, but after being capped 4 times it will land on a physical munzee where it can now be snapped. If you’ve ever deployed a Butterfly or Frog Evolution munzee, these will behave similarly with a few exceptions.

Points

  • Deploy: 500
  • Capture: 250
  • CapOn: 100
  • Snap (5th Cap): 500

You can find these bionic cookies bouncing to the following landing pads every 4 hours or when captured:

Like the Cyborg Santa, the GingerMech Man will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture a GingerMech Man on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same GingerMech Man visits you. However, GingerMech Men are non-blastable and will not be attracted to magnets. You can access GingerMech Man by turning on your “All Limited Edition Specials” and “All Expiring Specials” filters.

There is also a line of Christmas Combat Capture badges that you can earn for GingerMech Man, Cyborg Santa, Cybersaurus Rex, and any other future Christmas Combat captures (hint, hint)! As a refresher, the first in this line will appear as follows:

Holiday Card Collectors Club Tier 3 Day 9: Christmas Pickle Hunt

Tier 3 Holiday Card Collectors Club members have their own exclusive hunt! Much like Saturday’s Snowball Gathering, upon capturing your Holiday Mailbox, a whole forest of ChristmaZ Trees will scatter nearby! To reiterate, the mailbox must be capped on December 9th 00:01-23:59 MHQ time to deploy the ChristmaZ Trees. They’ll stay on the map for 36 hours after scattering, so that should give you ample time to collect them all! Also the capture radius is increased to 750 feet for these!

A total of 20 ChristmaZ Tree specials will be unleashed! These will only be visible to the Holiday Mailbox owner and will scatter like Feathers. This means there are no CapOn points but they are worth 100 points for capture!

Though there will only be one icon shown on the map, there is guaranteed to be 1 special ChristmaZ Pickle with a different icon that will not be visible until captured, similar to how the Greeting Cards work. Also similar to the ongoing WallaEggZ! The ChristmaZ Pickle is worth 250 points for capture.

To access these specials, please turn on your “All Expiring Specials” and “All Limited Edition Specials” filters.

Badge

There will be 1 badge for finding the ChristmaZ Pickle. Since there’s only the 1 badge in this line, we want to keep it a secret for now. Hopefully it shouldn’t be too tough for you to get!

Holiday Card Collectors Club ALL Tiers Day 5: Snowball Gathering

ALL Holiday Card Collectors Club members are in for a special treat today! Upon capturing your Holiday Mailbox, a whole arsenal of Snowballs will scatter nearby! To reiterate, The mailbox must be capped on December 5th 00:01-23:59 MHQ time to deploy the Snowballs. They’ll stay on the map until 36 hours after scattering, so that should give you ample time to collect them all!

A total of 50 Snowball specials will be unleashed! These will only be visible to the Holiday Mailbox owner and will scatter like Feathers. This means there are no CapOn points but they are worth 100 points for capture!

Though there will only be one icon shown on the map, there is guaranteed to be 1 special Rainbow Snow Cone with a different icon that will not be visible until captured, similar to how the Greeting Cards work. Also similar to the ongoing WallaEggZ! The Rainbow Snow Cone is worth 250 points for capture.

To access these specials, please turn on your “All Expiring Specials” and “All Limited Edition Specials” filters.

There is also a line featuring 3 new badges to earn. The first badge in the series appears as follows:

Snow Cone Kit- Capture one Snowball special.

It’s up to you to figure out the exact requirements for the remaining 2 badges! Cap as many of these specials as you can to set yourself up for success!

Holiday Card Collectors Club Tier 3 Day 1: Cyborg Santa

Can you believe it’s already been two weeks since we first revealed the Cyborg Santa as part of Tier 3 of our Holiday Card Collectors Club? We bet you’re curious to find out all his features and functions, so without further ado…

Cyborg Santa Details

As previously stated, the Cyborg Santa is a temporary POB. It will deploy on your account when you capture your holiday mailbox on December 1. The mailbox must be capped on December 1st 00:01-23:59 MHQ time to deploy Santa. It will bounce to both physical and virtual munzees, specifically: Greenies, Earth Mysteries, Ice Mysteries, all Virtual Colors, all three stages of the Farm Set – Family Evolution, Treehouses, and Skylands every 5 hours or when capped. It will stay on the map until 23:59 MHQ on December 31, when it will be automatically archived on your account. If you’ve ever deployed a Butterfly or Frog Evolution munzee, these will behave similarly with a few exceptions.

Points

  • Deploy: 750
  • Capture: 300
  • CapOn: 150

Similar to the Modern Myths, when the Cyborg Santa is captured 1 NEW Pixel Present munzee will be scattered nearby!

The Pixel Present will only be visible to the player who capped the Cyborg Santa, and will be deployed on the Cyborg Santa owner’s account. This means that unlike Feathers, there are CapOn points for the owner!

The rewards for Pixel Presents are as follows:

  • Capture: 50-150 points and 1-5 Zeds
  • CapOn: 75-175 points and 3-7 Zeds

Like the Cybersaurus Rex, the Cyborg Santa will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture a Cyborg Santa on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Cyborg Santa visits you. However, Cyborg Santas are non-blastable. They will be attracted to Munzee Magnets and Virtual Munzee Magnets. You can access Cyborg Santa by turning on your “All Limited Edition Specials” and “All Expiring Specials” filters.

A Challenger to Cyborg Santa Has Appeared + Cyber Munzday Info!

As we mentioned in our posts yesterday on social media, we’re still enjoying a break from our usual duties today (hopefully you are too) — so this is some pre-scheduled programming! If you’re jealous of Holiday Card Collectors Club members because of the super-cool Cyborg Santa, but aren’t ready for the commitment, or if you just enjoy collecting robot toys, we’ve got an option for you! We’ve also got some info on the promotions we’re planning for Cyber Munzday, so make sure to read all the way to the end!

Cybersaurus Rex

Our solution to deliver Christmas presents in a contactless manner all around the world was a good one — build an army of Cyborg Santas! But an enterprising elf — who may or may not have marathoned the entire Jurassic Park film franchise — applied the same technology to some T-rex prototypes, not knowing that part of their AI had already been programmed to mimic real T-rex behaviors! If you’d like to take a Cybersaurus Rex off our hands, it is available at the Freeze Tag Online Store as an individual product!

This new temporary POB (tPOB) will be available for purchase for $5 ONLY on Monday Nov 30th — Cyber Munzday! These are limited to 1 per player.

Treat Yourself With a Holiday Card Collectors Club Membership!

The week before Black Friday and Cyber Munzday is prime planning time for your upcoming present purchases, so we’re here to remind you to get something for yourself too! If you’re a fan of our Greeting Card munzees, we’ve got just the thing! We are excited to introduce the Holiday Card Collectors Club (HCCC), which you’re able to purchase starting NOW in the Freeze Tag Online Store!

Maybe you were preparing for another Advent Calendar? Well, this year, we’ll be sending goodies to you every day during the month of December! Why the name change? As this covers more than the traditional Advent period, we felt that the “Advent Calendar” name didn’t quite fit. In addition, also unlike Advent Calendars of the past (2018, 2019), Club members will receive virtual items only. While there’s no denying that getting something in your real-world mail is always special, we felt that this would be more appropriate given the current situation, and just a less stressful option for all involved — we don’t have to worry about shipping things out by a deadline, and you don’t have to worry about packages being stolen or being held up in customs!

Mail Call!

In an attempt to keep some of the magic, we’ve also created a totally new game piece to deliver Collectors Club items! The Holiday Mailbox Munzee is guaranteed to deliver this holiday season!

Sure, we could have just decided on adding things directly to your account on an automated schedule — but where’s the fun in that? We wanted to give you something to cap each day too (like the Skyland and Places munzees). When you deploy this new game piece nearby it will only be visible to AND cappable by you. To ensure that you are able to capture this new game piece each day, you’ll also be able to update its location if you’ll be traveling at any point during the month. We really don’t want you to miss out! It is very important you capture it each day during December.

It’s worth 100 deploy points!  When it comes to captures you’ll receive 10 points before December; mystery number of points during December. The mailbox can be captured up to 1000 feet away and is found under the Virtuals filter but ONLY visible to the OWNER. The holiday mailbox will be archived at the end of December or early January. THE HOLIDAY MAILBOX MUST BE DEPLOYED IN APP!

How the Holiday Mailbox Works:

Starting December 1st at 00:01 MHQ, each day you cap your Holiday Mailbox you will be awarded a different holiday themed Greeting Card capture, similar to the World Laughter Day specials. Please note that you’ll only be able to earn that specific card on that day, so you really don’t want to miss a day. Once you cap that card you’ll earn points, and depending on which tier of Club Membership you purchase you may also get some extra prizes!

There are 3 tiers of Club Membership you can purchase HERE:                                        You are only able to purchase ONE tier per player account.

  • Tier 1 “Capper” is available for $5 and includes the NEW Holiday Mailbox, which will deliver 31 Greeting Card munzees for you to capture.
  • Tier 2 “Giver” is available for $15 and includes everything in Tier 1 PLUS a matching Holiday Card each day for you to deploy, maybe near a friend? That’s 31 new cards to deploy on top of the 31 you can cap! You’ll also get some special bonuses scattered throughout the month, which could be double points days, exclusive specials or scatters to cap, credits or undeployed munzees, etc.
  • Tier 3 “Collector” is available for $25 and includes everything in Tier 2 PLUS all bonuses we have planned (some that Tier 2 will not have access to), AND a special Cyborg Santa temporary POB deployed from your account on December 1st! The bonus rewards will be well worth joining this tier over the previous two. We’ll release more details about Cyborg Santa closer to the launch date, so stay tuned!

Once you’ve decided on a Tier, you can purchase it in the FT Store! Please make absolutely sure you’re satisfied with the Tier you select before purchasing, as we may not be able to change it. You may only join one tier. You will still be able to purchase these Club Memberships into December, but you won’t be able to earn rewards from the days that have passed. We suggest purchasing your Club Membership as soon as possible to start learning the mysteries of the mailbox and prepare for December fun!
