One of the best parts about Munzee is that you can play how you want. Everyone goes about playing a bit differently, and that leads to some very creative and innovative uses of objects. From containers to bags to maintenance, we always encounter something new when we meet players. We want to showcase your Munzee Toolkits to see how you play the game and possibly even inspire other players who may need help! This week’s featured Munzee Toolkit comes from bonsaai!

Today’s featured Munzee Toolkit is brought to us by bonsaai, a player hailing from Alexandria, Louisiana. Bonsaai has been a player for over six and a half years, amounting more than 6 million points through his Munzee gameplay techniques. Let’s see what he carries in his Munzee Toolkit!

I knew I’d be traveling quite a bit, so I bought a large fishing tackle box to serve as a Munzee MotherShip, and to hold all the essentials! Which include:

Building Your Kit

What does a Munzee Toolkit look like? A good Munzee Toolkit contains many different compartments that make it easier to keep all of your munzees sorted. Below you can check out a Munzee Toolkit courtesy of MHQ’s own matthewmccann:

In addition to keeping your munzees neat and sorted, Munzee Toolkits such as this make for convenient ways to grab your munzees on the go in order to maximize deploy opportunities. In addition to the physical toolkit box, dedicated players sometimes choose to carry entire bags filled with a variety of handy items that can assist on your Munzee adventures. These items can include anything from packing sunblock for long days of capping and deploying to taking a black pen to help color in faded munzees to cap.

Extended In-App Language Features Are Here!

Hello! Ahoj! Hej! Szia! Hallo! Hei! Munzee is an international game complete with an incredible variety of players from all over the world. One aspect of the newest version of the app that we have been prioritizing is the extended language feature, and today we are happy to announce the inclusion of six additional languages in the Munzee app! 

As of the publication of this blog, we are thrilled to announce the addition of the following language options:

  • Czech
  • Danish
  • Hungarian
  • German
  • Dutch
  • Finnish

In addition to our latest language options, we also have a number of other languages being worked on as well. We hope to release these languages as soon as possible!

Ready to change your language? This very simple process can be done through the Munzee app! Since the update is over-the-air, as long as you have the latest version of the Munzee app, then the language options should automatically appear without needing to download any updates. You will need to force close the app to see the OTA update be installed.

Once you’ve logged into the app, go to your Settings option from the dropdown menu. In Settings you will see the option for languages, where you will be able to select from the seven current languages offered. Be sure to confirm your language switch by pressing “Reload” to apply the change. If you’re more of a visual learner, we put together this Help Guide article to walk you through the process!

Currently we are seeking player translation assistance for the following languages:

  • Lithuanian
  • Afrikaans
  • Portuguese
  • Malay
  • Russian
  • Italian
  • Spanish
  • Swedish
  • French
  • Polish

If you would like to help us translate any of these language options, please email tamara@freezetag.com with the title “Translation Help.” Don’t see your language on the list, send us an email if you’re willing to start the translation project. Premium Munzee Membership Changes (New Rewards!)

Have you been enjoying Munzee with the many added benefits of your Munzee Premium Membership? Purchasing a Premium Membership provides players with many advantages from advanced filters to multi-user login, we’re happy to announce an updated set of included items going live on September 13 at 00:01 MHQ time!

Starting on Friday, players will have different game pieces to deploy for purchasing a Premium Membership from the Freeze Tag Online Store. These updated items will be available as of 00:01 MHQ time on September 13, so be sure to time your purchase for after this date if you’d like to receive them! Premium Members will now be awarded 1 Premium Munzee, 1 Blast Cap, 2 Virtuals with 2 Virtual Color credits, 1 Flat Rob, and 1 Butterfly Evolution credit at the time of purchase! These changes will not be retroactive.

In addition, ALL Premium Members will now receive an additional 100 PinPoints per month on the 15th of each month. This bonus goes out to all Premium Members, regardless of whether or not they purchased their Premium Membership before or after the new update. The PinPoints per month will be replacing the previous Premium Membership bonus of 10 monthly ZeeCred credits. That means that all Premium Members will be receiving 100 PinPoints in place of the previous 10 ZeeCred on the 15th of each month moving forward.

Keep in mind that players can purchase more than one Premium Membership for their account at a time. Each Premium Membership purchase will add 365 days to your Premium account status, so multiple purchases will simply stack over time. Players will automatically receive the updated Premium Membership benefits upon all purchases of Premium Memberships made after September 13 at 00:01 MHQ time.

New Global Grub Hits the Map with Spain Addition!

Who’s ready to dig into another bowl of Global Grub? If you’ve given a hearty affirmative answer, then you’re in for a real treat! The Spanish Global Grub will be hitting the map today at 15:00 MHQ time for a physical addition to the tastiest specials on the map!

In honor of today’s date (9/9), 9 Spanish Global Grub specials will be deployed. They will join other physical Global Grub specials such as Pakistan, Korea, Greece, and more! They will bounce to Greenies every 12 hours or when captured.

Points

  • Cap: 200
  • CapOn (Host): 100

Each time you capture a Global Grub special, you will earn a badge containing a dish of food that is unique to the flag pin country. Capturing the Spain Global Grub will earn you the following delicious badge:

Paella is a traditional Spanish dish unlike any other! We’re not exaggerating when we say this mouthwatering mixture is unforgettable. Traditional Spanish paella includes jumbo shrimp, broth, chicken thighs, chorizo sausage, prosciutto, mussels, yellow rice, peas, plenty of spices and flavoring, and of course, saffron! There are many different variations and takes on this dish, with ingredients added and substituted at will. In the end, you’re left with a delicious bowl of grains, protein, and veggies coated in a beautiful blend of spices and flavors!

The Global Grub specials will be bouncing around the globe for the remainder of the year before leaving the map on 12/31/2019 at 23:59 MHQ time. You will have until then to try your luck capturing these very rare specials. Don’t forget that our overall Global Grub capture line allows you more opportunities than ever to earn Global Grub badges!

Weapons Weekend Means Worldwide Fun for All!

Who’s ready for some excitement?! We’re happy to announce that MHQ Bash Weekend will also kick off Weapons Weekend worldwide! If you find yourself wondering what is Weapons Weekend?!, we’re happy to share that it won’t disappoint. Weapons Weekend means double points on all Clan Weapon activity from Friday 9/27 at 00:01 MHQ time through Sunday 9/29 at 23:59 MHQ time! That means it’s a weekend of fun that all players can partake in, regardless of whether or not you’ll be joining us in North Texas!

This month is all about MedZEEval Times, so be sure to stock up on as many Clan Weapons as you can before the big weekend! You can earn Clan Weapons by competing in Clan Wars, but for those who didn’t join a Clan in time for September Clan Wars, you can pick up a handful of Clan Weapon Munzees in each of our September MunzPaks! PLUS something special will be going on with all Unicorn and Dragon Mythological Munzee Variants during Bash weekend, so be sure to stay tuned! 

We want everybody around the world to showcase their warrior prowess, so expect some more announcements as the month goes on. Although we’ll have a handful of warriors with us in person at MHQ Bash, the rest of the world should prepare for battle, too! And, of course, even though our event packages are no longer for sale, you can RSVP on the event calendar anytime to join in on the fun in person!

And while all of this might be getting you excited, we do have one final bit of news to share…

Clan Wars Update!

The development team has been hard at work on a brand new update to the Munzee app that will take the Clan Wars experience to a whole new level! While we’re not revealing all of the fun details just yet, we will begin beta testing very soon. So if you’re part of the beta testing group, stay tuned for more info!

Meet Munzee Munzday: Sheryl

Here at Munzee we’re constantly encouraging our players to meet and greet and build the personal relationships that make this game so great. Today we are going to get to know Sheryl, one of the many members of the team who keeps things running smoothly!

Sheryl Marusic, Bookkeeper

Where are you from?

Originally from the Philadelphia side of Pennsylvania. My husband, Steve, and I moved to Texas 6 years ago due to his job transfer.

Tell us about yourself:

I am married and the mother of 5 grown children. My husband has 3 grown children. A couple of our children are married, and we have one grandchild on the way. Most of our children reside in either the Pittsburgh side of Pennsylvania or the Philadelphia side, so we travel back and forth a lot. There is one child in San Diego, CA. I worked in business before becoming a full-time mom. I then eventually became an elementary teacher in Pennsylvania. Now I’m back in the business side of Munzee as a bookkeeper. My husband and I love to travel, mostly in the USA. Our favorite thing to do is hike in the mountains, especially the Rockies. We also do marriage ministry in our church, helping couples have the best marriages possible.

How long have your worked for Munzee?

I have worked for Munzee for 4 years. I started out in Production and was asked to implement Quickbooks, an accounting software, after a couple months of being an employee. My first degree was in accounting, so I have gone full circle in my career.

How did you find Munzee?

I came to Munzee through Cecie Newman, previous Vice-President. I knew her from our church, and she was aware that I was looking for a part-time and flexible job. After coming to Texas, I decided to retire from teaching and wanted to go part-time. An opening came up in Production, and she hired me and then later asked me to do the bookkeeping for the company.

What do you enjoy most about Munzee?

What I enjoy most about Munzee is the people. Everyone on staff are great people to work with. At the MHQ bashes I get to meet some of the players too and find them to be very kind people. I also really enjoy working with numbers. They are my “therapy” in life. ?

What are some of your other hobbies?

Some other hobbies I have are reading and watching movies. My husband loves doing the same, so we make a great team!

Famous last words?

Famous last words I will have to steal from a country song: “Always stay humble and kind.”

LegaZeeOps- Operation: Star Studies (September 2019)

Agents, ZeeOps HQ’s system has been hacked and all of our files on past missions have been erased! You’ll have to recreate past Operations in what we’re calling LegaZeeOps. It’s up to you to keep the legacy of this organization in tact. The missions for this month are the same that were originally available in September 2017’s Operations.

Despite Director Zee’s return, little has been spoken regarding the First Clan’s ominous warnings of the war to come. The Director insists we must continue to focus on the work at hand, because peace is only temporary in this line of work.

Mysterious Zodiac symbols have begun showing up all across the world. It’s up to you to investigate and report back to HQ.

The Zodiac Munzees appear to be reactive to the stars and the time of year. Reports also suggest a masked vigilante is behind the ominous deploys. Be careful and if you come across this Zodiac Vigilante, do not engage until we can figure out his motives.

September 2019 ZeeOps Operations are now live and you can begin planning your Missions to start on the following day. You can plan your Operations at munzee.com/ops/ and purchase more ZeeCred in the Freeze Tag Online Store. Remember that if you hit a snag at any point in your Operation you can use the Mission Mulligan feature to keep going!

This month’s requirements are focused on Western AND Chinese Zodiac Munzees. You can learn more about Zodiac Munzees on the Munzee Help Guide. You can also pick up full sets of both Zodiac types for a discounted price this weekend only in the FT Store! Western Zodiacs might even be a bit more valuable in the near future too…

By completing any Operation this month you’ll also earn the new “LegaZeeOps- Operation: Star Studies” badge.

This month’s Missions are as follows:

LEVEL 1

Basic Training +- Earn at least 1,000 points.
Defensive Training- Deploy at least 10 munzees.
Offensive Training- Capture at least 25 munzees.
Zee Is For Zodiac I- Capture at least 10 Zodiac Munzees of any kind.
Zee Is For Zodiac II- Deploy at least 5 Zodiac Munzees of any kind.

LEVEL 2:

Group Training +- Earn at least 1,000 CapOn points.
Moon Watchers – Capture at least 12 Zodiac Munzees and deploy at least 6 Zodiac Munzees of any kind.
Star Crossed – Capture at least 24 Zodiac Munzees of any kind.
House of The Rising Son- Deploy at least 12 Zodiac Munzees of any kind.
Virtual Surreality- Capture at least 100 virtual munzees of any type.

LEVEL 3:

Advanced Training- Earn at least 10,000 points.
Always Aware- Deploy at least 50 physical munzees of any type.
Son Shine- Deploy at least 36 Zodiac Munzees of any kind.
Shooting Star- Capture at least 48 Zodiac Munzees of any kind.
Virtual Virus 2- Capture at least 250 virtual munzees of any type.

LEVEL 4:

Expert Training- Earn at least 50,000 points.
Dark Side Of The Moon- Deploy at least 100 greenies.
The Falling Star- Deploy at least 60 Zodiac Munzees of any kind.
Setting Son- Capture at least 84 Zodiac Munzees and deploy at least 36 Zodiac Munzees of any kind.
ZEEnith– Capture at least 250 physical type munzees.

Completing Operations will give you some hard earned rewards as well.

Basic:
2 Virtuals, 2 Motel Munzees, 1 Hotel Munzee, 2 Virtual Colors, and 5 ZeeCred

Advanced:
