Christmas Skins for MythologiGals!

As part of last month’s Candy Corn craze, we enjoyed coming up with themed Halloween Skins for our Myths! For this month we decided it was the MythologiGals‘ time to shine. One of the Gals’ skins was sneakily released at the start of the month — so we’ll get into that first before providing the usual details on the bouncers below!

Merry Mermaid Skin
Event QRates

The Merry Mermaid was made available in NEW Event QRates starting on 12:00 MHQ on December 1! She bounces to Greenies, Ice Mysteries, Water Mysteries, and Treehouses.

Event QRates are similar to the 10th Birthday Mailbox Birthday QRate we released in the past, in that it comes with a temporary slot, if all your slots are full.

However, the Event QRate is unique in that:

  • It is guaranteed to be found upon the first capture of an Event Indicator pin
  • It requires 48 physical munzee captures to open
  • Upon opening it, you are guaranteed to receive the Merry Mermaid skin
    • If you already own the Merry Mermaid skin (i.e. you’ve attended more than one event in December) you will receive either a Physical Magnet, Virtual Magnet, or Zeds.

Snow Queen Nymph Skin
Sir Prize Santa – Rob’s List (Tier 3)

The Snow Queen Nymph skin was automatically added to all players on Rob’s List on 00:01 MHQ time today — no capping of Sir Prize Santa required. She will bounce to Greenies, Ice Mysteries, Blue Colored Virtuals*, Treehouses, and Skylands.

If you aren’t on Sir Prize Santa‘s list yet and would like to change that, click HERE! If you purchase a Tier 3 membership TODAY you can still get the Snow Queen skin as long as you deploy and cap your Sir Prize Santa before 23:59 MHQ time on December 6th. Please note that as this skin is automatically added to players’ accounts in batches, some Rob’s Listers may receive the skin tomorrow.

Christmas Skin Details

Like the past Halloween Skins, the Merry Mermaid and Snow Queen Nymph are skins you can apply to an upgraded Mermaid and Nymph, respectively. You can switch between these skins and the base skins for the myths as many times as you like.

Other than the different landing pads mentioned above, these lovely ladies have a lot in common with their original skin counterparts:

  • They will bounce every 12 hours or when capped.
  • They are worth 200 points for Capture, 100 points for CapOn
  • They are available for multi-capture
  • They are non-blastable
  • They are attracted to magnets
  • You can access them by turning on your “All Limited Edition Specials” and “All Expiring Specials” filters.

If you haven’t picked up a Mermaid or Nymph yet, keep an eye on this blog and also the Freeze Tag Store — you never know when they might be on sale! Don’t forget to pick up a Bouncer Upgrade Credit as well. When you’re ready to dress up your myth, just use the [Convert] option either in the app or on the website to apply it!

Need Help Putting Up the Christmas Lights? Zeus is Your Man!

For the most wonderful time of the year, it sure is a lot of work! Especially if you make the effort to decorate the exterior of your home with colorful Christmas lights — it is not only a veritable workout but also a potentially dangerous task. So if you’d prefer to pass the task off to a professional this year, you’ll be in good hands with this newest Modern Myth!

Zeus will be available for sale starting at 15:00 MHQ time today until 12:00 MHQ time on Dec 6!

Zeus Details

The Zeus Modern Myth will be available for purchase HERE! He will be spotted bouncing around to Greenies, Topazes, Electric Mysteries, Yellow, Orange, and Light Green Colored Virtuals*, Treehouses, and Skylands every 12 hours or when capped.

Each Zeus is numbered and will be owned by a Munzee player. You can pick this Myth up for $20! The sale is open to anyone regardless of other Mythological ownership. Only ONE (1) Zeus is allowed per account.

Points

  • Deploy: 250
  • Capture: 200
  • CapOn: 100

In keeping with the Modern Myth line, when he is captured 3 new munzees will also be scattered nearby — these will either be Lightning Bolts or Multimeters!

These will scatter like feathers so there are no CapOn points but they are worth 50 points for capture!

Zeus is able to be upgraded via a Bouncer Upgrade Credit, which gives the ability to be “nudged” or be renamed. The upgrade credit will give you the ability to “nudge” your Zeus to a new munzee up to three times a day, following the MHQ 24-hour day, after it has been on its host munzee for at least three hours. This nudging ability is only available for the owner via the munzee’s webpage and is not available in the app.

Your munzee will still retain its unique number, but feel free to get creative when it comes to renaming your Zeus! Just be sure to follow the Player Code of Conduct, and remember Munzee maintains a family-friendly environment.

If you’re hoping to cap one of these brand new Modern Myths, then you’re in luck! Zeus will be attracted to Munzee Magnets and Virtual Munzee Magnets. You can access Zeus by turning on your “All Expiring Specials” and “All Mythological” filters.

Badges

Deploying Zeus will earn you the badge shown on the left below. All captures will count toward the Myth Collectors badge line. There is also a line of hidden Capture badges that you can earn for Zeus captures, with 3 badges currently available, but more to come! The first in this line is shown on the right below:

Previous Modern Myths Still Available!

If you missed out on Poseidon, Aphrodite, or Hades, they were available until today as part of our Cyber Munzday Sale, which was set to end at the time of this blog’s release. Since we don’t want Zeus to be lonely in the store, we’ve extended the time period for these Modern Myths ONLY — they will now remain in the store until the same end date as Zeus.

CO4L Credits — Not Just for the Naughty List!

October’s Candy Corn Credits were a hit, so after reviewing the activity on them and making some improvements (we hope ?) we’ve created a new limited-time credit for you to earn and redeem!

Like Jewel Shards, Weapon Shards, and Cogs, you’ll be able to redeem CO4L Credits (CC) at the Redeem Store for game pieces. However, similar to Candy Corn Credits, they can only be redeemed until 02:30 MHQ on Monday, January 3rd (when January Clan Wars starts).

How to Earn CO4L Credits

CO4L Credits can be earned from 00:01 MHQ on Wednesday, December 1st to 23:59 MHQ on Friday, December 31st.

You can earn them the following ways:

As usual, the most up-to-date list of what’s available will be what you see on munzee.com/redeem. Unlike the tabs for Candy Corn Credits, this time you’ll only be able to redeem items in the “Week 1” tab during Week 1, after which, only the “Week 2” tab will be visible until Week 3, and so on. So make sure to spend your credits each week!

December 2021 Clan Wars Requirements

It’s almost December! You’ll find all the latest details to our clan requirements and rewards in the clan section of our app. There have been a few issues with activity not counting for some players in the opening minutes of the clan war. Please be sure to give our servers a bit of time to switch from Clan Wars OFF to Clan Wars ON. 🙂 This will ease frustration, just 10 or 15 minutes will make all the difference. We’re happy everyone is so anxious to get started on the 3rd of each month! In addition: Please do not change your clan membership for at least 2 hours after the month ends. The calculations are still being made and it could ruin your efforts.

It is possible that we could update clan requirements prior to December 3 and reserve the right to do so. The final requirements and rewards will always be shown in the app. All of this is up in the air based on how situations continue to change worldwide based on COVID-19.

December ClanPak

In June, we introduced the ClanPak! While MunzPaks started as a product to aid in Clan Wars, they have transitioned over time. Sometimes you may need a few things to help meet Clan War Requirements, (i.e. magnets, QRowbars, etc.) and reach your goals.

There is a limit of one per player per product/month. You can purchase the December ClanPak HERE! This is NOT a subscription program.

December Badges

Your Clan can earn monthly badges to earn for reaching distinct levels of Clan Wars each month. You won’t be able to earn a badge until the entire clan has reached the specified level. Since there is NO Level X this month, there will be a total of 5 badges available in December. The first badge will appear as follows:

Overall Clan Notes:

Please keep in mind Levels 4 & 5 are considered advanced gameplay and not recommended for brand new players. Be aware when allowing new players to join your clans. QRew/ZeeQRew status will be required for any clans earning levels 3, 4 & 5. See qualifications for ZeeQRew here. If you are not a member on December 1st you will not be able to qualify until December 15th. If you lose qualification before the 15th you will not be able to qualify until January 1st.

*Claimed QRates will not carry over from before the clan battle starts. The QRate must be found, opened, and claimed during the month of the current clan battle. This time period begins on the 3rd, same as the clan battle.

*All shards may be redeemed at https://www.munzee.com/redeem
Total points include Cap, Deploy, and CapOn of all types.
Reseller caps/deploys include all types of RUM/vRUM/reseller card but NOT reseller gnomes or any scatters.
Bouncer captures include any POB, MOB, or TOB (even the temporary POB).
Social and Personal will not count for Deploy requirements.
Social and Universal will not count for total Capture requirements.
Personal and Universal will not count for Physical points of any sort.

November Garden Gnome Reminder + December Preview!

As the month comes to a close, we wanted to make sure you were heading into December with your desired Garden Gnomes! The skin for completing your November capture streak (and the corresponding badge) will be awarded in early December, but we couldn’t wait to share what’s in store!

November Garden Gnome Reminders

If you haven’t picked up a Garden Gnome yet, they are available in the Freeze Tag Store for $2.

Each month, the price of a Garden Gnome will decrease by $1. However, players can only purchase 1 Garden Gnome every 28 days.

Don’t forget that you’ll need to own at least 8 Garden Gnomes by the end of the year to have a permanent one next year — so make sure to stock up soon if you’re a fan of these sporty lawn decorations!

December Garden Gnome Details

What Gnome Skin can you look forward to receiving in December? The skilled Skiing Garden Gnome! Like the other gnomes, the Skiing Garden Gnome is a temporary POB that will remain on the map until 23:59 MHQ on December 31. as long as players with permanent Garden Gnomes continue to use it.

As stated earlier, to earn this skin, you’ll need to have completed this month’s (November’s) capture streak. Once the skin is awarded in December, you can change the skin on the gnome to this one at any point — refer to our original blog post for the instructions!

Points

  • Capture: 250
  • CapOn: 300

You can find these chill gnomes gliding to the following landing pads every 6 hours or when captured:

Additionally, the Skiing Garden Gnome will scatter up to 3 NEW Gnome Toque Toppers nearby when it is captured!

Like the other Gnome Hats, the Gnome Toque Topper will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Gnome owner’s account. This means that unlike Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn points for the owner! They expire after 120 minutes and have a capture radius of 300 feet. These hat scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

The rewards for Gnome Hats are as follows:

  • Capture: 50 points
  • CapOn: 50 points

The Skiing Garden Gnome will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture Skiing Garden Gnomes on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Skiing Garden Gnome visits you. Skiing Garden Gnomes are non-blastable. They will be attracted to both Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access Skiing Garden Gnomes by turning on your “All Limited Edition Specials” and “All Expiring Specials” filters.

Badges

As a reminder, Garden Gnomes have 4 associated badge lines:

  • Unique type deploy badges — you’ll need to earn each month’s skin by keeping your streak up!
  • Overall deploy badges — the more gnomes you deploy, the merrier!
  • Unique type capture badges — capture at least 1 of each skinned gnome!
  • Overall capture badges — capture as many gnomes as you can find!

While we revealed images for the first of each badge line in the original post, we are happy to show you the “Unique type deploy” and “Unique type capture” badges associated with the Skiing Garden Gnome:

Secret ZeeOps- Operation: Mr. E (November 2021)

All caught up with Secret ZeeOps and looking for more? Here’s a new one available in the ZeeOps Hub for the usual cost of 1,500 Zeds. For now, it will be available for purchase until 23:59 MHQ on December 31. If you’ve purchased a Secret ZeeOp, you will be able to complete it and collect rewards even after it is no longer available for purchase.

Can you help us track down a former agent? If you complete ALL the missions in Operation: Mr. E, you’ll receive the snazzy badge below, along with both forms of the Master of Disguise Munzee (more info below!) and various other rewards listed in the app!

There are 3 levels. Level 1 has 3 missions, Level 2 has 5 missions, and Level 3 has 5 missions. Each level ends with more prizes.

We may share this information moving forward with other Operations but possibly not.

Master of Disguise Details

The Master of Disguise (MoD) is a Zeecret Weapon that behaves similarly to the Surprise Munzee in that it appears on the map as its own pin, but when captured it actually awards the capture of another type.

Did you catch the difference between how the MoD and the Surprise Munzee work? It’s quite subtle, so let’s clarify: when you capture a MoD, it awards the capture of another type, meaning, if you check the [Achievements] –> [Specials] area of the app you will see the pin image of that type. When you capture a Surprise, it will still award the capture of a Surprise (and will be what you see in the [Achievements] –> [Specials] area of the app) but the capture message and the points you receive will vary based on the types currently in the Surprise pool.

The pool for the MoD is different than the one for the Surprise, so don’t expect Jewels and Destination Rooms (at least for now)!

Points

  • Deploy: 50
  • Capture: varies according to “disguise” — if you are awarded the actual Master of Disguise capture (a rare possibility) it is worth 100 points
  • CapOn: varies according to “disguise” — if another player is awarded the actual Master of Disguise capture (a rare possibility) from one that you have deployed, it is worth 35 points to you

You can access MoDs by turning on their filter in “Physicals – ZeeOps” and “Virtuals – ZeeOps”. If you manage to receive an actual MoD capture, you will earn a special badge — as there is only one badge in this line, we’ll keep it a secret for now. Capping these new munzees will also contribute progress towards the overall Zeecret Weapon captures badge line!
