💘💀 Love is in the Air… But So is a New Curse! 💀💘
Unlucky in love? Or just unlucky? This February 13th, a strange affliction is sweeping the Munzee map, and it’s not your average case of butterflies in the stomach. Certain Munzee types have fallen victim to a mysterious Love Sick Curse, leaving them dazed, confused, and downright lovestruck! We’re not sure if it’s a rogue love potion gone wrong or something even more sinister, but one thing is clear—these Love Sick Munzees need your help! These will be active on the map from Thursday, February 13th at 00:01 MHQ to Wednesday, February 19th at 23:59 MHQ. Can you capture and cleanse them before the heartache spreads?
Love Sick Munzees
As far as we can tell, only certain Munzee types have been affected, but each has taken on an unusual pink glow—almost as if they’ve been enchanted by a rogue love potion! Even if you’ve captured them before, you’ll have the chance to earn a fresh cap on these Love Sick types. So don’t let the heartache linger—help cleanse the map before this love-struck affliction spreads any further!

These Love Sick Munzees are FlashMOBs just like the Cursed Munzees from last year. This means that the Love Sick Munzees are actually a “mask” applied on top of a host munzee: similar to a bouncing munzee, but once capped, they do NOT bounce anywhere else. You have “removed” the mask. All Love Sick Munzees will have these new types placed on top of them – only the first to capture on each type will be able to get them! So hurry and rush to capture them before others do!
Special Scatter Details
Upon capturing a Love Sick Munzee, up to 3 Love Sick Wisps may drift nearby. This is the curse’s last attempt to cling to the map—if it can’t hold onto its original host, it will try to spread its lovestruck affliction through these lingering Wisps! Cap them quickly before the heartache spreads any further!

Purging the map of these Love Sick Munzees won’t be easy, but Cappy knows true love (or at least true dedication) deserves to be rewarded! To honor those who go above and beyond, he’s commissioned two special badges for this event.
The first, which you can see below, is for capturing at least 14 Love Sick Wisps—a fitting challenge in honor of Valentine’s Day!
