Zeecret Agent Competition Results!

As they’ve been dominating the entire competition, this comes as no surprise… but we admire the effort that P.E.A.R. Agents put in as well, especially in the face of such a tough opponent! There were just under 2300 total agents at the end of the competition, we are excited about this level of participation!

Flat Lou is Suiting Up in Something Fancy!

You’ve seen Fancy Flat Rob and Fancy Flat Matt… but are you ready for Fancy Flat Lou? The regular Flat Lou was already easy to spot on the map due to her bright pink color, so we wanted the Fancy version to be even more eye-catching! Please welcome these new variants, featuring designs based on real cycling kits provided by Lou!

Fancy Flat Lous are on sale in the Freeze Tag Online Store (through Monday at 12:00 MHQ)! These Player Owned Bouncers (POBs) are variants of Flat Lou that players can own.

Like the Fancy Flat guys, the new Fancy Flat Lous will bounce around every 12 hours or when captured. Fancy Flat Lous will bounce to Flat Lous, Flat Robs, Airport Places, Transportation Places, Pink Colored Virtuals* (specified below), Treehouses, Skylands, and an additional other type based on the variant!

Bounces to:  

All Fancy Flat Lous will have the same point values, though there will be a random distribution of Cap and CapOn points.

Points: 

  • Deploy: 500 points
  • Capture: 200-300 points (random)
  • CapOn: 50-100 points (random)

The Fancy Flat Lous WILL be attracted to Virtual Magnets. They will also be equipped with the ability to be nudged. You can capture Fancy Flat Lous on your own munzees or previously captured munzees, but they will NOT be blastable. Now let’s get to know a little bit more about each variant!

Flat Lou is ready to show competitive cycling is not just for the boys! This variant of Fancy Flat Lou bounces to Flat Lous, Flat Robs, Shamrocks, Airport Places, Transportation Places, select Pink Colored Virtuals, Treehouses, and Skylands.

Team GB Flat Lou

Flat Lou is ready to represent her home country! This variant of Fancy Flat Lou bounces to Flat Lous, Flat Robs, Fire Mysteries, Airport Places, Transportation Places, select Pink Colored Virtuals, Treehouses, and Skylands.

Polka Dot Flat Lou

Flat Lou owns this more whimsical style signifying cyclist royalty and her ability to climb anything on her bike! This variant of Fancy Flat Lou bounces to Flat Lous, Flat Robs, Pink Diamonds, Airport Places, Transportation Places, select Pink Colored Virtuals, Treehouses, and Skylands.

When a player goes to the online store they will be able to choose among three Fancy Flat Lous:

  • InternationElles Flat Lou
  • Team GB Flat Lou
  • Polka Dot Flat Lou

The only store limit will be up to one per variant per player account, meaning you can buy all three, but not more than one of each. Fancy Flat Rob variants are also available for sale!

The Fancy Flat Rob variants are available for purchase for players who do not already own all three. Like the Fancy Flat Lou variants, each player is allowed to purchase one of each Fancy Flat Friend variant per account.

Fancy Flat Robs and Fancy Flat Matts will also get two new landing pads! As of now all Fancy Flat friends can land in treehouses and skylands!

Badges

The Fancy Flat Lou variants will NOT count towards the other Flat Lou Capture or Deploy badges. Instead, Fancy Flat Lou will have their own Deploy badge that can be earned by deploying any Fancy Flat Lou variant. The badge will appear as follows:

Sate Your Sweet Tooth With These Spooky Specials!

Although the Zeecret Agent Competition is still on, we couldn’t resist having some Halloween-themed fun! We are happy to introduce our brand-new Deathly DeeZert specials! Starting at 12:00 MHQ on October 27th, they will bounce around the map until 23:59 MHQ on November 15th.

Deathly DeeZert Details

We’ll be passing out the treats in waves, but will end at a total of 333 Creepy Cauldrons and 333 Pumpkin Pails. They will bounce around on the map every 4 hours or when captured. You can find these tasty treasure troves bouncing to the following:

Both will be worth 99 points for the Capture and 50 points for the CapOn, so you don’t want to miss out! Creepy Cauldrons will be attracted to Virtual Magnets, while Pumpkin Pails will be attracted to Physical Magnets. To access these specials, please turn on your “All Expiring Specials” and “All Limited Edition Specials” filters.

When you capture a Creepy Cauldron or a Pumpkin Pail, up to three different DeeZert Munzees will scatter to nearby munzees, with the same landing pads as their respective triggers. These munzees will stay on the map for 3 hours or when captured, and are also worth 99 points for the Capture and 50 points for the CapOn.

Badges

Additionally, there will be six badges to earn for these specials. Half are based on the total number of Deathly DeeZert specials you capture, but just how many captures it takes to earn all 3 badges will be kept a secret! The other half are based on capturing each of the different specials you see here. You can see the first of each badge line below:

The Zeecret Agents Competition is Back!

Agents, we’ve clearly underestimated the strength of the P.I.N.E. Agency. In the hopes of keeping the competition fun for both agencies until our planned end date, we needed a bit more time to make the next set of changes, and brainstorm further additions that you may see in future rounds! There are also TWO very special Zeecret agents worth bonus points in the competition. One PINE agent will deal 100 points of damage to the opposite team, and one PEAR agent will regenerate 200 points of health upon capture!

Time For Some Good GREEN Fun With A New Competition!

Agents, here is some more intel on that special assignment we announced on Wednesday — if you were on the fence about joining then, perhaps this brief will help you decide.

Zeecret Agents Competition

It’s time to show that you’re ready to become a ZeeOps Agent through a little friendly competition from now until Sunday, November 8, 2020 at 23:59 MHQ. Similar to our Competing Camp Specials we’re splitting you up to compete as worldwide teams! This time though, there are only two teams — the P.E.A.R Agency vs the P.I.N.E. Agency– and things will work a little differently.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to work with other agents to whittle down the enemy agency’s hit points and maintain or increase your own agency’s hit points for each round. If you accept this mission, head over to the opt-in link on CuppaZee HERE to find out which agency you’ve been assigned to.

Round Rules

For the first round each agency begins with 1,000 hit points. Each team can max out to 2,500 hit points in round one as well. Maxing out hit points does not mean your team wins that round. A round will end as soon as one team’s health reaches 0 HP or after 5 days. If 5 days pass, the team with the highest remaining health will be given the win. Rounds are then reset, giving both agencies full hit points again.

A new round will begin each time an agency is KO’d until the competition ends. Please note that not all rounds may begin with the same base points. Some rounds may have higher hit point counts. After the competition ending time, the final round will continue until it ends, as normal. If the final round ends and both teams have won the same amount of rounds, there will be a final rapid decider round, with a low starting HP.

Here is a breakdown of which actions will increase your agency’s hit points, and which will decrease the enemy agency’s hit points. You might notice a few new types on this list too! You can learn more about Pear Bombs and Pineamite below, but stay tuned for the Spyderbot and Laser Pen reveals soon!

Bomb MOBs

Agents from both P.E.A.R. and P.I.N.E. have left surprises around the world and it’s up to you to defuse them! There will be 500 Pear Bomb and Pineamite MOBs on the map for the entirety of the competition. That breaks down to 125 of each type in physical form, and likewise in virtual form. These are attracted to Magnets. Ironically, none of these specials are blastable.

As noted above, for the competition leaderboard each Pear Bomb and Pineamite capture will subtract 1 point from your enemy team. Please note that this is different than the actual capture points a player will earn. This secondary point structure is just for tallying the competition leaderboard for those who are playing.

Zeecret Agents tPOBs

In addition to the Pear Bomb and Pineamite there will also be rare P.E.A.R. Agent and P.I.N.E. Agent Specials bouncing around the map! They are already out there lurking around on the map and more Agents may be unleashed as Agency Heads see fit! These are attracted to both Physical or Virtual Magnets on their respective landing pads. These are officially tPOBs on a Munzee account and are not blastable.

As noted above, since these are more rare each Agent capture will add 3 points to your own team on the competition leaderboard. Again, please note that this is different than the actual capture points a player will earn. This secondary point structure is just for tallying the competition leaderboard.

  • Team Badge- Think of it as a Membership Badge! These badges feature your agency’s crest so wear it with pride!

  • There are three badges based on overall Bomb and Agent special captures. Cap as many as you can to earn these badges!
  • There will also be badges based on the outcome of the competition. We’ll keep those a secret for now 😉

National Waffle Day Specials Will Have You Bolting for Breakfast!

For those of us lucky enough to be working from home, one benefit is having more time in the morning to scrounge up a good breakfast! Here at MHQ that usually means anything with bacon and eggs, but we also need carbs to balance out that protein! What does a good breakfast look like to you?

Camp Counselor Specials Are Making a Special Visit to a Munzee Near You!

While waiting to receive your nominations for Camp Counselors for July’s POTM, we needed somebody to hold down the fort at Camp Munzee in the meantime. Who better than our own AlternaMyths, who boast not only a keen understanding of the game (being part of it themselves) and a great rapport with MHQ staff, but also a deep connection with the great outdoors!

Free from their counseling duties at Camp Munzee, Camp Counselor specials are now live on the map for everyone and will remain available until September 9 at 23:59 MHQ. You can use the “All Expiring Specials” and “All Limited Edition Specials” filters to more easily view them on the map. Meet each of the counselors below!

Camp Counselors

There will be a total of 396 Camp Counselor Specials available for capture — that breaks down to 99 of each type. More Camp Counselors may emerge as the need arises for campers all over the world! Badges

There are two lines of badges related to Camp Counselor specials.

The first line is based on overall Camp Counselor captures. These badges will show you the Counselors in action guiding various camp activities! The first badge in this line is called Archery Allies and is earned by capping nine Counselors of any type!

The second line of badges is based on each of the four Camp Counselor specials. Make sure to cap at least one of each special so you can start your day off right!

Please note that although these specials are based on AlternaMyth designs, these are unique tPOBs and they will not count toward the AlternaMyth Wrangler badge or any other Myth capture badges.

While the Camp Counselors are certainly a part of Camp Munzee, capturing them will NOT earn your Camp points in our ongoing Camp Competition. We’re sticking to the water balloons and flags as outlined in our original post!
