Keep your eyes on the walls 👀 Colorful creations, hidden gems, and larger-than-life artwork can be found all around the world! The ALL NEW Mural Places Munzee is here to help highlight these amazing public works of art!
Murals are a unique and exciting type of POI because they can be colorful, creative, meaningful, and sometimes tucked away in unexpected places! From city streets to small town walls, these public works of art are perfect places to discover while out playing Munzee.
However, since murals can be a little trickier for MHQ to verify, this new Places type will have some special submission requirements. Shop the Mural Places Munzee HERE!

The Mural is the latest addition in our lineup of Places Munzees and is now available in the Freeze Tag store as of 12:00 MHQ today.

As with other Places Munzees, these can be captured daily! They will also contribute progress towards the Places Capture badge line and the Places Streak badge line.

Mural Deploy Guidelines:
Remember, a Places Munzee has to have its location approved for deployment, so please be sure to read through these guidelines carefully. Since murals can be more difficult to verify than some other Places types, players must include a verification link with their submission to help our reviewers confirm the location quickly.
Mural: This game piece is designed to highlight large, permanent, publicly visible murals around the world. These should be recognized public artworks that can be seen and enjoyed by players while out exploring.
To be approved, the mural must be visible and verified through at least one of the following sources:
- Google Maps / Google Street View: This is always our official and original go-to source for Places verification.
- Mural must be visible in Google Maps photos, or when using Google Street View while moving the camera around.
- Street Art Cities: https://streetartcities.com/
- MASA Street Art Map: https://findmasa.com/view/map
Players should check one of these sources before submitting and include the matching link in the Munzee’s notes along with the mural name, building/business name, artist name if known, or any other helpful details.
The deploy location should be placed as close to the mural itself as possible. Please do not place the pin at a general nearby business, parking lot, street corner, or park entrance unless that is where the mural is actually located.
This type will NOT include random graffiti, tags, advertisements, business logos, temporary art, indoor murals, private murals, small painted signs, or murals that cannot be verified through one of the approved sources.
Places Munzees are very unique due to the much larger cap radius, as compared with other munzee types, and daily capture ability. As you can’t capture your own munzees, trade Places munzees with other players to make the most of your deploys!

You don’t have to stumble across a mural in person first! Players can browse Google Street View, Street Art Cities, or the MASA Street Art Map to discover murals in their favorite areas, then reserve and deploy Mural Places Munzees at those verified locations.
