A Mailbox Full of Goodies for our 10th Birthday!

Many of you have enjoyed our past mailboxes as they bring a fun surprise to look forward to each day. With our 10th Birthday coming up, we knew we had to plan a special mailbox for the month! If you were a fan of our Holiday Card Collectors Club or the Valentine Card Collectors Club, here’s another club you’re sure to love! We are excited to introduce the 10th Birthday Mailbox, which you’re able to purchase starting NOW in the Freeze Tag Online Store!

Expect a surprise inside every day in the month of July! Since this period is the same length as the Holiday Mailbox’s, the price for the upper two tiers will be the same, as you’ll see below! Like the HCCC, Club members will receive virtual items only.

You’ll need a 10th Birthday Mailbox Munzee to receive your 10th Birthday goodies!

When you deploy this new game piece nearby it will only be visible to AND cappable by you. IT MUST BE DEPLOYED IN APP! To ensure that you are able to capture this new game piece each day, you’ll also be able to update its location if you’ll be traveling at any point during the mailbox period. You can only move the mailbox in app and do NOT need to undeploy first. We really don’t want you to miss out! It is very important you capture it each day in July.

The 10th Birthday Mailbox is worth 100 deploy points! When it comes to captures, you’ll receive 10 points before July; during the mailbox period the points will vary. The mailbox can be captured up to 1000 feet away and is found under the Virtuals filter but ONLY visible to the OWNER. It will be archived after July 31st.

How the 10th Birthday Mailbox Works

Starting July 1st at 00:01 MHQ, each day you cap your 10th Birthday Mailbox you will be awarded a different 10th Birthday-themed Greeting Card capture, similar to the HCCC. Please note that you’ll only be able to earn that specific card on that day, so you really don’t want to miss a day. Once you cap that card you’ll earn points, and depending on which tier of Club Membership you purchase you may also get some extra prizes!

There are 3 tiers of Club Membership you can purchase HERE. As stated above, since the time period for this mailbox is the same as the HCCC (though this one allows for nearly a week of extra caps before the actual mailbox period starts), the pricing is similar. You are only able to purchase ONE tier per player account.

  • Tier 1 “Capper” is available for $10 and includes the NEW 10th Birthday Mailbox, which will deliver 31 Greeting Card munzees for you to capture.
  • Tier 2 “Giver” is available for $15 and includes everything in Tier 1 PLUS a matching 10th Birthday Card each day for you to deploy, maybe near a friend? That’s 31 new cards to deploy on top of the 31 you can cap! You’ll also get some special bonuses scattered throughout the mailbox period, which could be double points days, exclusive specials or scatters to cap, credits or undeployed munzees, etc.
  • Tier 3 “Collector” is available for $25 and includes everything in Tier 2 PLUS all bonuses we have planned (some that Tier 2 will not have access to), AND a special Award Show Garden Gnome Skin worth double capture and capon points during the month of July! The bonus rewards will be well worth joining this tier over the previous two. You can find out more about Award Show Garden Gnome below!

Once you’ve decided on a Tier, you can purchase it in the FT Store! Please make absolutely sure you’re satisfied with the Tier you select before purchasing, as we may not be able to change it. You may only join one tier. You will still be able to purchase these Club Memberships into July, but you won’t be able to earn rewards from the days that have passed. We suggest purchasing your Club Membership as soon as possible to start learning the mysteries of the mailbox and prepare for July fun!

Award Show Garden Gnome Details

Like the other Garden Gnomes, the Award Show Garden Gnome is a temporary POB that will remain on the map until 23:59 MHQ on December 31. It will bounce to both physical and virtual munzees, specifically: Greenies, Premium Munzees, all Virtual Colors, Entertainment Places, Drink Depot Places, Treehouses, and Skylands every 6 hours or when capped.

If you haven’t picked up a Garden Gnome yet, they are currently available in the Freeze Tag Store for $7, and will be $6 in July. The mailbox must be capped on July 1st 00:01-23:59 MHQ time to add the Award Show Garden Gnome skin to your account. Once the skin is added to your account, you can change the skin on the gnome to this one at any point — refer to our original blog post for the instructions!

Points

  • Capture: 500 during the month of July, 250 during the remainder of the year
  • CapOn: 600 during the month of July, 300 during the remainder of the year

When the Award Show Garden Gnome is captured, up to 3 NEW 10th Munzee Birthday Hat munzees will be scattered nearby!

Like the other Gnome Hats, the 10th Munzee Birthday Hat will be visible to any player, and will be deployed on the Gnome owner’s account. This means that unlike Feathers, there are CapOn points for the owner! These hat scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

The rewards for 10th Munzee Birthday Hat are as follows:

  • Capture: 100 during the month of July, 50 during the remainder of the year
  • CapOn: 100 during the month of July, 50 during the remainder of the year

The Award Show Garden Gnome will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture an Award Show Garden Gnome on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Award Show Garden Gnome visits you. However, Award Show Garden Gnomes are non-blastable. They will be attracted to Munzee Magnets and Virtual Munzee Magnets. You can access Award Show Garden Gnomes by turning on your “All Limited Edition Specials” and “All Expiring Specials” filters.

Badges

As a reminder, Garden Gnomes have 4 associated badge lines:

  • Unique type deploy badges — you’ll need to earn each month’s skin by keeping your streak up!
  • Overall deploy badges — the more gnomes you deploy, the merrier!
  • Unique type capture badges — capture at least 1 of each skinned gnome!
  • Overall capture badges — capture as many gnomes as you can find!

While we revealed images for the first of each badge line in the original post, we are happy to show you the “Unique type deploy” and “Unique type capture” badges associated with the Award Show Garden Gnome:

Whether you have a special someone in your life or not, the month of February is the perfect time to share the love with friends, family, and yourself! If you were a fan of our Holiday Card Collectors Club or missed out on it, here’s your chance at a similar experience! We are excited to introduce the Valentines Card Collectors Club (VCCC), which you’re able to purchase starting NOW in the Freeze Tag Online Store!

Expect a surprise inside every day leading up to (and including) Valentine’s Day! Since this period is about half of the Holiday Mailbox‘s, the price will be slightly lower, as you’ll see below! Like the HCCC, Club members will receive virtual items only.

Special Delivery Cupid Details

As previously stated, the Special Delivery Cupid is a temporary POB. It will deploy on your account when you capture your Valentines Mailbox on February 1. The mailbox must be capped on February 1st 00:01-23:59 MHQ time to deploy Cupid. It will bounce to both physical and virtual munzees, specifically: Greenies, Fire Mysteries, Seasonals, Reseller Unique Munzees, all Virtual Colors, Air Mysteries, Post Office Places, Treehouses, and Skylands every 5 hours or when capped. It will stay on the map until 23:59 MHQ on February 28, when it will be automatically archived on your account.

Points

  • Deploy: 750
  • Capture: 300
  • CapOn: 150

Similar to the Modern Myths, when the Special Delivery Cupid is captured 1 NEW Heart Arrow munzee will be scattered nearby!

The Heart Arrow will only be visible to the player who capped the Special Delivery Cupid, and will be deployed on the Special Delivery Cupid owner’s account. This means that unlike Feathers, there are CapOn points for the owner! This Heart Arrow will NOT count for Deploy streaks, so be warned.

The rewards for Heart Arrows are as follows:

  • Capture: 50-150 points and a small chance to earn some Zeds
  • CapOn: 75-175 points

Like the Cyborg Santa, the Special Delivery Cupid will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture a Special Delivery Cupid on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Special Delivery Cupid visits you. However, Special Delivery Cupids are non-blastable. They will be attracted to Munzee Magnets and Virtual Munzee Magnets. You can access Special Delivery Cupid by turning on your “All Limited Edition Specials” and “All Expiring Specials” filters.

There is also a line of capture badges that you can earn for Special Delivery Cupid and Heart Arrow captures, but we’ll be keeping the badge images a secret for now!

V Day 2019 Munzee Specials Are Here! Heavenly Hammock and More

The day of romance is almost upon us, and what could be more romantic than Heavenly Flat Hammock?

In honor of Valentine’s Day 2019, we have two specials launching this week, including virtuals and physicals!

Heavenly Hammock 

Some of you have already been treated to a Heavenly Flat Hammock virtual bouncing special sighting on your map. This special virtual launched on February 12 at 00:01 MHQ time, and it will last until February 24 at 23:59 MHQ time. That gives players plenty of time to spot everyone’s favorite angel of love! Heavenly Hammock will bounce every six hours or when captured. When the special first started there was only one bouncing around, but each time one is capped, another is deployed. Who knows how many of the cupids could be floating around by the end of the special?

Throwback Candy Hearts  

Starting at 00:01 MHQ time on February 14, our Throwback Candy Heart Physicals will be live until February 24 at 23:59 MHQ time. These revamped designs are similar to our 2015 charity specials, but just different enough to give you some new icons to add to your collection! It might not be easy to pick up everyone’s favorite conversation candies in stores this year, but you can cap four different versions of them on the map for Valentine’s Day and beyond. (Just don’t try eating them!)

All four types of candy hearts will be attracted to Munzee Magnets, but only when used on Greenies. These Physical bouncers will bounce every 6 hours or when captured. There will be four different icons, with 214 of each icon deployed for plenty of chances to cap your own special Valentine’s message from MHQ. (They’re almost as romantic as Heavenly Flat Hammock.)

Fall In Love With The Cherub AlternaMyth!

It’s Valentine’s Day and love is in the air! What better day than today to introduce you all to our new AlternaMyth friend: The Cherub! Watch out for that arrow, unless you’re looking for love that is!

As with the other AlternaMyths these Mythological Munzees are deployed on behalf of our HQ staff’s accounts, thus super rare. You’ll get 200 points for capping the Cherub. Owners of the host munzee will also earn double the points of the Cherub’s earthbound cousin the Faun.

As the Faun’s cousin this cute cloud soarer is attracted to Earth Mystery Munzees, but Cherubs will also hover to all colors of Virtual Munzees, Mystery Virtual Munzees, and MVMs as well as Air Mystery Munzees every 12 hours or when captured.

Cherubs are sure to be busy on Valentine’s Day this year, but luckily you can slow one down with a Virtual Munzee Magnet! You can add Virtual Magnets to any color of MVM and they will attract Cherub, Pegasus, and Fire Pegasus munzees.

Capturing a Cherub will also count towards the Myth Collector badges so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for those friendly flyers.

Announcing Secret Admirer Specials!

Love is in the air and it seems you all have a secret admirer or two! Who could it possibly be? The only way to find out is to collect their heart pieces and reveal your true love!

2,800 Secret Admirer Specials will be on the map from 00:01 MHQ time on Tuesday, February 13th through Sunday, February 18th at 23:59. There will be a total of 4 heart pieces (700 of each on the map) and by collecting at least one of each corresponding piece (each side of the heart) you’ll earn a badge for that set.

Since it’s mystery as to who these secret admirers could be, these specials will work a bit differently. The Secret Admirer Specials will bounce on MVMs, Mysteries, Mini Mysteries, and Greenies every 6 hours or when capped. Since these specials bounce on both physical and virtual game pieces, both Munzee Magnets and Virtual Magnets will attract these icons.

Points:

  • Capture – 28
  • CapOn for host owners – 14

Per usual these will also count toward the Special Hunter badge line and you can cap them on your own munzees so be sure to cap as many as you can!

Valentine’s Day 2017 Special!

It’s February, and love is in the air. With Valentine’s Day rapidly approaching, many people are scrambling to make sure they get the right gift for their loved ones. Whether you have a valentine or not, though, you should always get a little something for yourself. We’re here to help with our Valentine’s Day 2017 Special!

From tomorrow (February 10th) at 00:01 MHQ time until February 19th at 23:59 MHQ time, 2017 boxes of chocolate will be on the map. These icons will bounce on greenies every six hours or when capped. When captured, three pieces of chocolate will scatter within a mile radius: Coconut Chocolate, Cherry Chocolate, and Dark Chocolate. These scattered chocolates will expire two hours after they appear or after capture, whichever comes first.

Points

Each icon will reward different points:

Box of Chocolate
Capture: 14
CapOn (for host owner): 14

Coconut Chocolate
Capture/CapOn: Split of 15 with a minimum of 5 (i.e.: 10 for capper and 5 for host owner, 5 for capper and 10 for host owner)

Cherry Chocolate
Capture/CapOn: Split of 25 with a minimum of 5 (i.e.: 15 for capper and 10 for host owner, 5 for capper and 20 for host owner)

Dark Chocolate
Capture/CapOn: Split of 35 with a minimum of 5 (i.e.: 10 for capper and 25 for host owner, 30 for capper and 5 for host owner)

Badges

There are two badges that can be earned during this special: Valentine’s Day 2017 and Chocoholic.

The Valentine’s Day 2017 badge is earned by capturing the Box of Chocolate icon or any of the scattered chocolates. The Chocoholic icon is earned by capturing all three types of chocolate icons.
