Secret ZeeOps- Operation: Swatch Out! (January 2023)

All caught up with Secret ZeeOps and looking for more? Here’s a new one available in the ZeeOps Hub for the usual cost of 1,500 Zeds. For now, it will be available for purchase until 23:59 MHQ on February 28. If you’ve purchased a Secret ZeeOp, you will be able to complete it and collect rewards even after it is no longer available for purchase.

While the year started off quietly, it seems we’ve just gotten the most bizarre case yet. The town of Flatville has got a vandal on the loose, which ordinarily wouldn’t raise much alarm — but the unique monochrome aesthetic of the town has been ruined, and the clean-up will cost millions. If you complete ALL the missions in Operation: Swatch Out!, you’ll receive the snazzy badge below, along with the FREDDi Fr0g Mech (more info below!) and various other rewards listed in the app!

There are 3 levels. Level 1 has 3 missions, Level 2 has 5 missions, and Level 3 has 5 missions. Each level ends with more prizes.

We may share this information moving forward with other Operations but possibly not.

NEW Mech Details

Like the other Munzee Mechz, FREDDi Fr0g is a temporary POB that will remain on the map until it has been captured 15 times.

FREDDi Fr0g
Points
  • Deploy: 350
  • Capture: 230-330
  • CapOn: 100-200
  • Outline (15th Cap): 500
Landing Pads

You can find this artistic amphibian tagging the landing pads above every 6 hours or when captured.

FREDDi Fr0g will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture FREDDi Fr0g on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same FREDDi Fr0g visits you. FREDDi Fr0g is non-blastable. He will be attracted to both Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access FREDDi Fr0g by turning on your “All Expiring Specials” filter.

When FREDDi Fr0g is captured, it will scatter up to 3 BLOTerflies.

BLOTerfly
Points
  • Capture: 30-50
  • CapOn: 5-30

These scatters will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Mech owner’s account. This means that unlike Air Mystery Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn points for the owner! They expire after 120 minutes and have a capture radius of 300 feet. These scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

Badges

As with other Munzee Mechz, the badge for deploying FREDDi Fr0g depicts the Blueprints, and is shown below:

There is also a badge for capturing FREDDi Fr0g. Since there’s only one badge in this line, we’ll keep it a secret for now.

On behalf of MHQ, we thank you for your continued service.

Garden Hedges are Anything but Static!

We’ve had Garden Gnomes and Garden Flamingos wearing some crazy outfits the past 2 years! In 2023 we wanted to try something a little different for our monthly streak bouncers — a shapeshifting Garden Hedge! Not only does the base hedge change shape when it lands on a virtual munzee — each month, if you earn the skin, it’ll be trimmed and decorated into a different design!

Garden Hedge Details

The Garden Hedge is a temporary POB that will remain on the map until 23:59 MHQ on December 31. It is currently available in the Freeze Tag Store for $12, and each month its price will decrease by $1. You can purchase 1 Garden Hedge every 28 days. If you own at least 8 temporary Garden Hedges at the end of the year, you’ll be able to keep a permanent one going into 2024! Plus you can continue using all the skins you’ve collected each month!

Like last year, you will have to keep your streak up in January to receive the first skin (the GodZEEla Garden Hedge shown above) in February. The pattern continues for the remaining months — if you keep up your capture streak for an entire month, you will receive the skin for it the next month. You can change the skin on the hedge at any point (more info below!) as long as you have earned it.

Points

  • Garden Hedge
    • Deploy: 500
    • Capture: 250
    • CapOn: 150
  • GodZEEla Garden Hedge
    • Capture: 250
    • CapOn: 300

You can find these carefully trimmed topiaries taking root at the following landing pads every 6 hours or when captured:

Additionally, when a Garden Hedge has an upgraded skin, up to 3 NEW Hedge Flowers may be scattered nearby when it is captured! For instance, when a Garden Hedge has a GodZEEla skin it will scatter Fire Lilies nearby.

The Hedge Flowers will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Hedge owner’s account. This means that unlike Air Mystery Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn points for the owner! They expire after 120 minutes and have a capture radius of 300 feet. These hedge scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

Points

  • Capture: 50
  • CapOn: 50

Garden Hedges of ANY type will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture Garden Hedges on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Garden Hedge visits you. Garden Hedges are non-blastable. They will be attracted to both Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access Garden Hedges by turning on your “All Limited Edition Specials” and “All Expiring Specials” filters.

How to Change Skins

The process is the same as it has been for the past 2 years, so we won’t take up your time with the instructions!

However, if you are a little rusty — or if perhaps, you’re a new player(!) — you can refer to our Help Guide article HERE!

Badges

Garden Hedges have 4 associated badge lines:

  • Unique type deploy badges — you’ll need to earn each month’s skin by keeping your streak up!
  • Overall deploy badges — the more hedges you deploy, the merrier!
  • Unique type capture badges — capture at least 1 of each skinned hedge!
  • Overall capture badges — capture as many hedges as you can find!

You can see the first of each badge line below, except for the Overall deploy badge line — we’ll reveal that next month!

If you complete the capture streaks for each month (and make the initial purchase in January) you’ll have 12 different skins to choose from! So be sure to purchase one each month so you can have a complete set of these manicured Garden Hedges!

We hope these hedges are the perfect finishing touch to your outdoor decor!

Merry Miser Mailbox Schedules

UPDATE: We had made some changes to how the ghost scatters work — originally, the Ghosts of Munzees Past were going to scatter from the mailbox directly. Later on, we decided to add the Ghost of Christmas Past as the main mailbox scatter, and then the Ghosts of Munzees Past scatter from it. Due to this change, it is now the Ghosts of Christmas Past that remain on the map for 120 hours, and as the 2nd-tier scatter, the Ghosts of Munzees Past only remain on the map for 2 hours. Moving forward, this is how you can expect the scatters to behave.

One especially good thing we learned from Sir Prize Santa is that knowing when the Double Point Weekends and Special Themed Scatter Events are is most helpful in deciding whether or not the mailbox is right for you. So, without further ado, here are the schedules for the Merry Miser Mailbox!

Double Point Weekends (DPWs)

Week Dates Double Points ON
2 Friday, December 9 at 00:01 MHQ to Sunday, December 11 at 23:59 MHQ Mysteries and Elemental Mysteries (scatters not included)
3 Friday, December 16 at 00:01 MHQ to Sunday, December 18 at 23:59 MHQ Virtual Colors
4 Friday, December 23 at 00:01 MHQ to Sunday, December 25 at 23:59 MHQ Flats, RUMs, RUMbots, Reseller Greeting Cards, Reseller Flamingos, Reseller Gnomes, Reseller Evolutions (scatters not included)
5 Thursday, December 29 at 00:01 MHQ to Saturday, December 31 at 23:59 MHQ Greeting Cards

Special Themed Scatter Events

When you cap the Merry Miser Mailbox, up to 12 themed scatters will be deployed nearby. They expire 120 hours after they are deployed, to hopefully give you enough time to capture them all! While we’ll reveal the dates to help you plan, we’ll just reveal what will be scattering for the first event:

Week Dates Special Themed Scatter
3 Sunday, December 11 at 00:01 MHQ to 23:59 MHQ Ghosts of Munzees Past

Ghosts of Christmas Past

3 Friday, December 16 at 00:01 MHQ to 23:59 MHQ ?
4 Wednesday, December 21 at 00:01 MHQ to 23:59 MHQ ?

We hope you’re looking forward to a fun-filled journey! If you haven’t joined the MMCCC yet and would like to do so now, click HERE!

Secret ZeeOps- Operation: Turkey Trample (November 2022)

All caught up with Secret ZeeOps and looking for more? Here’s a new one available in the ZeeOps Hub for the usual cost of 1,500 Zeds. For now, it will be available for purchase until 23:59 MHQ on December 31. If you’ve purchased a Secret ZeeOp, you will be able to complete it and collect rewards even after it is no longer available for purchase.

This year, our analysts have noticed increasingly aggressive behavior from various avian species. While it could just be a result of harsh weather conditions and poor handling, there have been too many incidents for us to just brush it aside. If you complete ALL the missions in Operation: Turkey Trample, you’ll receive the snazzy badge below, along with the TurKEY Mech (more info below!) and various other rewards listed in the app!

There are 3 levels. Level 1 has 3 missions, Level 2 has 5 missions, and Level 3 has 5 missions. Each level ends with more prizes.
