Light The Way With Flat Flashlight Scatters

Ah, to be young again and read with a flashlight under the covers! NanZEE Drew books were definitely among the titles Tamara enjoyed that way, and she wants to celebrate this pastime before the holidays are over with Flat Flashlight scatters! So crack open a book, flick on that flashlight, and sneak in a quick read while you’re waiting for Santa to come!

Limited Time Scatter Details

From the period of Thursday, December 21st at 12:00 MHQ through Sunday, December 24th at 23:59 MHQ, when you capture a Flat Flashlight, up to 3 Themed Flashlights may be scattered nearby!

As before, the Flashlights will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Flat Flashlight owner’s account. This means that unlike Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn points for the owner! They expire after 120 minutes, have a capture radius of 300 feet, and you’ll be able to use Rover Treats to capture them as well! These flashlight scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

The rewards for Themed Flashlights are as follows:

  • Capture: 50 points
  • CapOn: 25 points

Final Garden Hedge Blog!

As the year comes to a close, we wanted to make sure you were heading into January with your desired Garden Hedges! The skin for completing your December capture streak (and the corresponding badge), which is the Penguin Garden Hedge shown below, will be awarded in early January. But, we couldn’t wait to tease what’s in store for next year!

December Garden Hedge Reminders

If you haven’t picked up a Garden Hedge yet, they are available in the Freeze Tag Store for $1. But keep in mind they will all expire at the end of this year after Dec 31, 2023, unless you have collected enough to keep a permeant one into the new year! Read on below to find out more!

How to have a permanent Garden Hedge on your account next year:

  • Own at least 8 Garden Hedges by the end of the year
    • Each month, the price of a Garden Hedge will decrease by $1.
    • However, players can only purchase 1 Garden Hedge every 28 days.

Permanent Garden Hedge Details

You will have the ability to convert this permanent garden hedge into any of the skins you have earned in 2023.

All temporary Garden Hedges deployed in 2023 will be archived before we start the process of adding the new permanent Garden Hedges to players’ accounts.

NEW Barbershop Places Munzee

This new Places Munzee is all about hairy nails! Well, not hairy nails themselves, but hair and nail salons specifically! We can’t wait to see photos of your fresh new cuts and stylish claws while stopping by to capture this new Munzee type. Shop HERE! The Barbershop POI must be deployed at least 2,000 ft away from others of the same type. Limited to one per account per 15 days, like the other Places.

NEW Stamp Credits

Have a growing collection of mailbox cards and other past Limited Edition Greeting Cards you wish you could deploy again? Now you can, with the introduction of Stamps! Similar to Mech Blueprints and Cogs, if you’ve ever owned or deployed a Greeting Card in the past, you’ll have the ability to redeem another copy of select cards to deploy again using Stamp Credits. To keep things simple and easy, the majority of cards will only cost 1 Stamp to redeem. Depending on the rarity and value of the card, some may require more Stamps. SHOP HERE!

You’ll notice a new Greeting Cards section in the Redeem Store where these cards will be available to redeem. But don’t panic if you don’t see all of the cards you’ve deployed before! Since there are quite a few past cards, we’ve decided to roll them out in chunks. To start off we’ve added past Winter/Holiday/Christmas one-off cards and Mailbox Greeting Cards from previous years to start for now. As the year goes on we’ll continue to add more! Munzee Events Spotlight

To recap, instead of applying as a Mega Event, it will require at least 50 attendees in order to reach Mega Event status. Norse Zodiacs

 

The latest line of Zodiacs are based on the viking birth runes of Nordic mythology! Birth runes are not meant to reveal your fate like other zodiac signs, but instead represent a specific set of energies that embody your character and events in life.The 24 runes are divided among the 12 months of a year, and each rune governs half a month.

The Norse Zodiacs will work similarly to the Egyptian Zodiacs in that they will be worth double points when capped and deployed during the specific times below:

We are beginning with the first two Norse Zodiacs- Isa and Jara and will release two new Norse Zodiac every month through the Hybrid and Virtual MunzPak subscriptions. Each Norse Zodiac Munzee is worth 60 points for physical and 40 points for virtual Deploy, Capture, and CapOn. Those numbers double to 120 and 80 points respectively during each Zodiacs’ specific time period. NOTE: to receive double points on deploys, they MUST be done in the app!

Similar to the Egyptian Zodiacs, when a Norse Zodiac is captured 1-3 NEW Norse Relics will be scattered nearby! There will be 12 different relics released total, with 3 launched every quarter.

The Norse Relics will be visible to ALL players, not just the player who capped the Norse Relic, and will be deployed on the Norse Zodiac owner’s account. This means that unlike Feathers, there are CapOn points for the owner! These Norse Relic scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

The rewards for Norse Relics are as follows:

Get Hopping With The All NEW Golden Bunny!

Our Clans have been hard at work planting Golden Carrots all around the world, but now it’s time to harvest and we’ve brought in a new friend to help! We are happy to announce the release of the new Golden Bunny! Similar to Nomads, there will only be a few of these rare bunnies deployed and they will ONLY bounce to their designated landing pads, which in this case are Golden Carrots. Imbued with the Midas Touch, capturing this Golden Bunny also has the chance to award Zeds to both the capper and owner of the Golden Carrots!

50 NEW Golden Bunnies have been unleashed on the map and they will bounce every 12 hours or when captured.

As the month comes to a close, we wanted to make sure you were heading into December with your desired Hedges! December Badges

Like the other Munzee Mechz, the F00D PYRAM3AL is a temporary POB that will remain on the map until it has been captured 10 times. When a F00D PYRAM3AL is captured, it will scatter up to 3 F00D scatters from previous Meal Mechz.

These scatters will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Mech owner’s account. This means that unlike Air Mystery Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn points for the owner! They expire after 120 minutes and have a capture radius of 300 feet. These scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

As with other Munzee Mechz, the badge for deploying the F00D PYRAM3AL depicts the Blueprints, and is shown below:

There is also a badge for capturing a F00D PYRAM3AL. Since there’s only one badge in this line, we’ll keep it a secret for now.
