Badges

There will be two badges to earn during this special event. They will require you to capture and deploy a certain number of Shamrocks. You can see the first badge below.

Pet Sham Rock- Deploy 1 Shamrock and capture 7 Shamrocks of any type during the 2022 Pre-Paddy’s Day Celebrations.

It’s up to you to figure out the requirements for the remaining badge! Cap and deploy as many Shamrocks as you can to set yourself up for success!

March 2022 Skin: Lucky Flamingo

As the month comes to a close, we wanted to make sure you were heading into March with your desired Flamingos! The skin for completing your February capture streak (and the corresponding badge), which is the Valentines Garden Flamingo shown below, will be awarded in early March. But, we couldn’t wait to share what’s in store for next month!

February Flamingo Reminders

If you haven’t picked up a Flamingo yet, they are available in the Freeze Tag Store for $11.

Each month, the price of a Flamingo will decrease by $1. However, players can only purchase 1 Flamingo every 28 days.

Don’t forget that you’ll need to own at least 8 Flamingos by the end of the year to have a permanent one next year — so make sure to stock up soon if you’re a fan of these brightly-colored lawn decorations!

March Flamingo Details

What Flamingo Skin can you look forward to earning in March? The contrasting Lucky Garden Flamingo! Like the other flamingos, the Lucky Garden Flamingo is a temporary POB that will remain on the map as long as players with permanent Garden Flamingos continue to use it.

As stated earlier, to earn this skin, you’ll need to complete next month’s (March’s) capture streak. Once the skin is awarded in April, you can change the skin on the flamingo to this one at any point — refer to our Help Guide article for the instructions!

Points

  • Capture: 250
  • CapOn: 300

You can find these favored fowls riding the rainbow to the following landing pads every 6 hours or when captured:

Additionally, the Lucky Garden Flamingo will scatter up to 3 NEW Fortune Feathers nearby when it is captured!

Like the other Flamingo Feathers, the Fortune Feathers will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Flamingo owner’s account. This means that unlike Air Mystery Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn points for the owner! They expire after 120 minutes and have a capture radius of 300 feet. These flamingo feather scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

The rewards for Flamingo Feathers are as follows:

  • Capture: 50 points
  • CapOn: 50 points

The Lucky Garden Flamingo will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture Lucky Garden Flamingos on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Lucky Garden Flamingo visits you. Lucky Garden Flamingos are non-blastable. They will be attracted to both Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access Lucky Garden Flamingos by turning on your “All Limited Edition Specials” and “All Expiring Specials” filters.

Badges

As a reminder, Garden Flamingos have 4 associated badge lines:

  • Unique type deploy badges — you’ll need to earn each month’s skin by keeping your streak up!
  • Overall deploy badges — the more flamingos you deploy, the merrier!
  • Unique type capture badges — capture at least 1 of each skinned flamingo!
  • Overall capture badges — capture as many flamingos as you can find!

While we revealed images for the first of each badge line in the original post, we are happy to show you the “Unique type deploy” and “Unique type capture” badges associated with the Lucky Garden Flamingo:

March 2022 Clan Wars Requirements

It’s almost March! You’ll find all the latest details to our clan requirements and rewards in the clan section of our app. There have been a few issues with activity not counting for some players in the opening minutes of the clan war. Please be sure to give our servers a bit of time to switch from Clan Wars OFF to Clan Wars ON. 🙂 This will ease frustration, just 10 or 15 minutes will make all the difference. We’re happy everyone is so anxious to get started on the 3rd of each month! In addition: Please do not change your clan membership for at least 2 hours after the month ends. The calculations are still being made and it could ruin your efforts.

It is possible that we could update clan requirements prior to March 3 and reserve the right to do so. The final requirements and rewards will always be shown in the app. All of this is up in the air based on how situations continue to change worldwide based on COVID-19.

March ClanPak

Last year, we introduced the ClanPak! While MunzPaks started as a product to aid in Clan Wars, they have transitioned over time. Sometimes you may need a few things to help meet Clan War Requirements, (i.e. magnets, QRowbars, etc.) and reach your goals.

There is a limit of one per player per product/month. You can purchase the March ClanPak HERE! This is NOT a subscription program.

Individual

  • At least 5 days of activity
    • 2 days must be at least 3,000 total points (EDITED)
  • At least 23,000 total points
  • At least 25 total captures

March Badges

Your Clan can earn monthly badges to earn for reaching distinct levels of Clan Wars each month. You won’t be able to earn a badge until the entire clan has reached the specified level. Since there is NO Level X this month, there will be a total of 5 badges available in March. The first badge will appear as follows:

Overall Clan Notes:

Please keep in mind Levels 4 & 5 are considered advanced gameplay and not recommended for brand new players. Be aware when allowing new players to join your clans. QRew/ZeeQRew status will be required for any clans earning levels 3, 4 & 5. See qualifications for ZeeQRew here. If you are not a member on March 1st you will not be able to qualify until March 15th. If you lose qualification before the 15th you will not be able to qualify until April 1st.

*Claimed QRates will not carry over from before the clan battle starts. The QRate must be found, opened, and claimed during the month of the current clan battle. This time period begins on the 3rd, same as the clan battle.

*All shards may be redeemed at https://www.munzee.com/redeem
Total points include Cap, Deploy, and CapOn of all types.
Reseller caps/deploys include all types of RUM/vRUM/reseller card but NOT reseller gnomes or any scatters.
Bouncer captures include any POB, MOB, or TOB (even the temporary POB).
Social and Personal will not count for Deploy requirements.
Social and Universal will not count for total Capture requirements.
Personal and Universal will not count for Physical points of any sort.

Hints for how to play during Stay Home orders:

February 2022 GOTM Winners

Even though February is only shorter than other months by 2 or 3 days, it feels like we’ve come to the final stretch of the month so quickly!

We kicked off the month with the release of the V-Mailboxes. As the National Hat Day specials finished their run, we launched the NEW Pizza My Heart specials a few days after. The next day brought a new set of mini-Mechz, the X & O Bots. The week after that, the V-Mailbox finally began its daily deliveries on Valentine’s Day. Reseller Flamingos made their debut the next day, followed by the first new Flat Object of the year, Flat Murray, the Friday after.

We are now happy to announce the winners of the February Gardens of the Month (GOTM)! The badges will be awarded by early March, but we couldn’t wait to share the winners we’ve chosen!

Feburary GOTM

Remember that all winning GOTM organizers and all players who deployed in the winning gardens will be awarded special badges for their contribution to growing the map. This month we’re happy to award the Purple Heart Park garden, designed by Spanol, and the Munzee Love garden, designed by Jeffeth, as our winning February GOTM! The gardens appear as follows:

Purple Heart Park by Spanol in Tucson, AZ

While this garden is fairly small, we love that each diamond shape within the heart still has dimension, thanks to the different shades of Purple Virtual Colors and Amethysts. A simple but special garden!

Here’s a note from the player who designed this garden:

Located on the Southeast corner of Tucson, Arizona, the park is dedicated to the Purple Heart military decoration, awarded to men and women killed or injured during combat while members of the Armed Services. The Park also includes a dog area named after Ivan, a Tucson police dog lost in the line of duty.

In addition to this note, the spreadsheet for the garden includes a photo of a monument in the park that inspired the design. The monument consists of a brick wall with beautiful purple glass squares built into it, in the shape of a heart. We loved the story behind this garden and how it resembles the real-life landmark located there, so it safely secured a spot as one of the winners for this month!

It’s hard for us to resist Flat-themed gardens because they represent us in a way — not to mention how cute and timely the design is!

Here are some notes from the players who nominated this garden:

I love the simplicity and meaning of this garden, of course we all love Munzee, but this garden seems to celebrate the love for Flat Rob and Flat Lou, our King and Queen of Munzee.

This is the cutest Valentine’s garden that I’ve seen! It’s especially sweet because we all know Rob had the key to Lou’s heart! 🙂

All players who deployed in the respective winning gardens will receive the following special badges:

Rules for GOTM nominations:

  1. Garden must feature non-licensed character designs.
  2. The garden must feature a Garden Places Pin.
  3. The garden must be built using a publicly available spreadsheet which we will ask to be locked after being 100% deployed.

Reseller Garden Flamingos

Of course, we couldn’t leave our Resellers out of the yard decorating fun! We managed to prepare these a little earlier in the year than the Reseller Garden Gnomes, so we’re feeling a bit accomplished. Please welcome these very special Garden Flamingos themed around each Reseller’s shop!

Reseller Garden Flamingo Details

Like the other flamingos, Reseller Garden Flamingos are temporary POBs that will remain on the map as long as players with permanent Garden Flamingos continue to use it. When you purchase a Garden Flamingo from a Reseller, you will receive the base Garden Flamingo with their respective flamingo skin already equipped. However, you can still swap out the skins just like the other Garden Flamingos — refer to our Help Guide article if you need a refresher!

Loveable Mini Mechz to Collect + NEW Badge Lines!

Can you believe there was a time when all you could use your Cogs on were Spyderbots? With the increasing popularity of Daily ZeeOps, we’ve tried to design new tPOBs to keep the map more varied and fun for everyone! This month, we’ve released new Mechz in the MunzPak and the V-Mailbox, but what if you just want a new Mech without all of the extras? We’ve got two Valentine-themed options for you… Please welcome X Bot and O Bot!

NEW Mech Details

X Bots and O Bots are temporary POBs that will remain on the map until they have been captured 5 times. The X Bot is available at the Freeze Tag Store HERE. The O Bot will be available in the In-App Store! When you purchase a X Bot or O Bot, you will receive a fully-built X Bot or O Bot that auto-deploys. You will also receive the Blueprint to rebuild it when you have earned enough Cogs in the future. These Mechs will be available to purchase until 23:59 MHQ on Monday, February 28th.

Points

  • Deploy: 500
  • Capture: 250
  • CapOn: 100
  • Xhaust (5th Cap): 500

You can find these alphabetical androids making their mark at the following landing pads every 6 hours or when captured:

X Bots and O Bots will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture X Bots and O Bots on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same X Bot or O Bot visits you. X Bots and O Bots are non-blastable. They will be attracted to both Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access X Bots and O Bots by turning on your “All Expiring Specials” filter.

When an X Bot is captured, it will scatter up to 3 Heart ThRobots. Similarly, when an O Bot is captured, it will scatter up to 3 Rouge Bots.

These will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the X Bot or O Bot owner’s account. This means that unlike Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn rewards for the owner! They expire after 120 minutes, have a capture radius of 300 feet, and you’ll be able to use Rover Treats to capture them as well. These scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

The rewards for Heart ThRobots and Rouge Bots are as follows:

  • Capture: 50 points
  • CapOn: 25 points

Badges

Deploying an X Bot or an O Bot will earn you the corresponding Blueprint badge. You can see these badges below.

There is also a line of badges that you can earn for X Bot and O Bot captures! You can see the first badge in this line below.

Lastly, we’ve also created NEW badge lines for overall Mech captures and deploys. You can see the first badges in these lines below:

As these badge lines are retroactive, you may have already met the requirements for some of the badges, and should see them on your account soon! If not, please wait a few days as our system catches up with awarding these new badges to everyone who has earned them, before contacting support.

Pizza My Heart Specials for Food Lovers Everywhere!

While the V-Mailbox is sure to excite and amuse once it kicks off on Valentine’s Day, we wanted to give everyone something to chew on until then. Since today is National Pizza Day, creating specials celebrating one of our beloved foods was a no-brainer!

Pizza My Heart specials are now live on the map for everyone and will remain available until March 6 at 23:59 MHQ. You can use the “All Expiring Specials” and “All Limited Edition Specials” filters to more easily view them on the map. There are quite a few different specials, so check out a breakdown of each below!

These specials will be released in waves, ending at a total of 1,229 Pizza My Heart Specials available for capture on the map — that breaks down to 100 of each ingredient except for Pepperoni, of which there are only 29. Since Pepperoni were so popular in our latest React Poll, the demand means there’s less to go around. Pizza My Heart Specials are attracted to either Physical or Virtual Magnets depending on their type. None of these specials are blastable.

Badges

There are two lines of badges related to Pizza My Heart specials.

The first line is based on overall Pizza My Heart captures. These badges will give you all of the tools you need to run a successful pizzeria! The first badge in this line depicts a pizza box earned by capping any ingredient!

The second line of badges is based on capping different combinations of Pizza My Heart specials, similar to last year’s World Sushi Day specials. Make sure to cap at least one of each special so you can try each type of pizza!

February 2022 Skin: Valentines Flamingo

As the month comes to a close, we wanted to make sure you were heading into February with your desired Flamingos! The skin for completing your January capture streak (and the corresponding badge) which is the New Year skin we revealed at the start of the month, will be awarded in early February, but we couldn’t wait to share what’s in store for next month!

January Flamingo Reminders

If you haven’t picked up a Flamingo yet, they are available in the Freeze Tag Store for $12.

Each month, the price of a Flamingo will decrease by $1. However, players can only purchase 1 Flamingo every 28 days.

Don’t forget that you’ll need to own at least 8 Flamingos by the end of the year to have a permanent one next year — so make sure to stock up soon if you’re a fan of these brightly-colored lawn decorations!

February Flamingo Details

What Flamingo Skin can you look forward to earning in February? The lovey-dovey Valentines Garden Flamingo! Like the other flamingos, the Valentines Garden Flamingo is a temporary POB that will remain on the map as long as players with permanent Garden Flamingos continue to use it.

As stated earlier, to earn this skin, you’ll need to complete next month’s (February’s) capture streak. Once the skin is awarded in March, you can change the skin on the flamingo to this one at any point — refer to our Help Guide article for the instructions!

Points

  • Capture: 250
  • CapOn: 300

You can find these infatuated fowls floating to the following landing pads every 6 hours or when captured:

Additionally, the Valentines Garden Flamingo will scatter up to 3 NEW Lovely Feathers nearby when it is captured!

Like the other Flamingo Feathers, the Lovely Feathers will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Flamingo owner’s account. This means that unlike Air Mystery Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn points for the owner! They expire after 120 minutes and have a capture radius of 300 feet. These flamingo feather scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

The rewards for Flamingo Feathers are as follows:

  • Capture: 50 points
  • CapOn: 50 points

The Valentines Garden Flamingo will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture Valentines Garden Flamingos on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Valentines Garden Flamingo visits you. Valentines Garden Flamingos are non-blastable. They will be attracted to both Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access Valentines Garden Flamingos by turning on your “All Limited Edition Specials” and “All Expiring Specials” filters.

Badges

As a reminder, Garden Flamingos have 4 associated badge lines:

  • Unique type deploy badges — you’ll need to earn each month’s skin by keeping your streak up!
  • Overall deploy badges — the more flamingos you deploy, the merrier!
  • Unique type capture badges — capture at least 1 of each skinned flamingo!
  • Overall capture badges — capture as many flamingos as you can find!

While we revealed images for the first of each badge line in the original post, we are happy to show you the “Unique type deploy” and “Unique type capture” badges associated with the Valentines Garden Flamingo:

February 2022 Clan Wars Requirements

It’s almost February! You’ll find all the latest details to our clan requirements and rewards in the clan section of our app. There have been a few issues with activity not counting for some players in the opening minutes of the clan war. Please be sure to give our servers a bit of time to switch from Clan Wars OFF to Clan Wars ON. 🙂 This will ease frustration, just 10 or 15 minutes will make all the difference. We’re happy everyone is so anxious to get started on the 3rd of each month! In addition: Please do not change your clan membership for at least 2 hours after the month ends. The calculations are still being made and it could ruin your efforts.

It is possible that we could update clan requirements prior to February 3 and reserve the right to do so. The final requirements and rewards will always be shown in the app. All of this is up in the air based on how situations continue to change worldwide based on COVID-19.

February ClanPak

Last year, we introduced the ClanPak! While MunzPaks started as a product to aid in Clan Wars, they have transitioned over time. Sometimes you may need a few things to help meet Clan War Requirements, (i.e. magnets, QRowbars, etc.) and reach your goals.

There is a limit of one per player per product/month. You can purchase the February ClanPak HERE! This is NOT a subscription program.

February Badges

Your Clan can earn monthly badges to earn for reaching distinct levels of Clan Wars each month. You won’t be able to earn a badge until the entire clan has reached the specified level. Since there is NO Level X this month, there will be a total of 5 badges available in February. The first badge will appear as follows:

Overall Clan Notes:

Please keep in mind Levels 4 & 5 are considered advanced gameplay and not recommended for brand new players. Be aware when allowing new players to join your clans. QRew/ZeeQRew status will be required for any clans earning levels 3, 4 & 5. See qualifications for ZeeQRew here. If you are not a member on February 1st you will not be able to qualify until February 15th. If you lose qualification before the 15th you will not be able to qualify until March 1st.

*Claimed QRates will not carry over from before the clan battle starts. The QRate must be found, opened, and claimed during the month of the current clan battle. This time period begins on the 3rd, same as the clan battle.

*All shards may be redeemed at https://www.munzee.com/redeem
Total points include Cap, Deploy, and CapOn of all types.
Reseller caps/deploys include all types of RUM/vRUM/reseller card but NOT reseller gnomes or any scatters.
Bouncer captures include any POB, MOB, or TOB (even the temporary POB).
Social and Personal will not count for Deploy requirements.
Social and Universal will not count for total Capture requirements.
Personal and Universal will not count for Physical points of any sort.

Hints for how to play during Stay Home orders:
Use the swap feature for brand new virtual deploys.
Use the online map to deploy virtuals worldwide or find gardens to deploy in on social media groups.
Watch the online store for sales during the month to help meet your goals.
Use evolution reset credits to get new CapOn points from OLD deploys (they do NOT count as new deploys)
