NEW Fenrir Details

Like the other Mythological Munzees, Fenrir is a permanent POB. It is the 8th of a NEW Storyland line of Myths, so expect to see more creative creatures in the future!

Landing Pads

You can find these shapeshifting hounds lunging to the landing pads above every 12 hours or when captured.

Fenrir will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture Fenrir on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Fenrir visits you. Fenrir is non-blastable. They will be attracted to Magnets. You can access them by turning on your “All Expiring Specials” filter.

When Fenrir is captured, it will scatter up to 3 Norse Bones.

These scatters will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Fenrir owner’s account. This means that, unlike Air Mystery Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn points for the owner! They expire after 120 minutes and have a capture radius of 300 feet. Since they are passive deploys, these scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity.

The Future of Garden Competitions + New Garden Greeting Cards!

A little over a week ago, thanks to CuppaZee creator Sam Hindess’s hard work, CuppaZee Gardens was released to much fanfare and excitement! The tool makes it a breeze to find Virtual Gardens to deploy in, or if you are so inclined — to create one of your own! Make sure to check it out if you haven’t already — even if you don’t consider yourself an artist, there are pre-programmed shape templates you can use to get started!

To keep the garden enthusiasm going, we wanted to make some changes to our current Garden of the Month competition! To celebrate we’ve also planted 3 NEW Garden Greeting Cards as well. Read on to learn more!

August 2024 Garden of the Month

As you may have guessed, it’s a bit too early in the month for us to have the winners chosen and this blog post all written — but we’ll do so by the end of the week so we can announce it early next week. The main change we’ll be making this month is using the Completed list on CuppaZee Gardens to pick the winners! However, as there are still so many gardens to choose from, please do continue to send in nominations at the Google Form here: https://forms.gle/SjUQeRxdi5FT81pCA

We need your help to narrow down the candidates!

September 2024 Garden of the Month

Then, starting next month, we’ll choose garden winners based on a theme we’ve chosen. If you’ve been following the GOTM in the past, you may have noticed that we already have been doing this in a way, but in a backwards order — choosing the theme based on the gardens that have been submitted.

The theme we’ve chosen for September is FantaZEE! Though it is no longer our birthday month, we would still like to see gardens that would fit right in with our New Dawn Festival to make Cappy feel welcome! So if you have a FantaZEE themed garden you’ve already created OR if you’re feeling ambitious and want to create a new themed Garden be sure to get them complete for September!

Otherwise, the same rules as before (which we have written in the Help Guide) still apply:

  1. Garden must feature non-licensed character designs.
  2. The garden must feature a Garden Places Pin.
  3. The garden must be published on CuppaZee Gardens, or built using a publicly available spreadsheet which we will ask to be locked after being 100% deployed
  4. We’re asking for ongoing nominations and we will release the winners throughout the year.

Regarding the last rule, please try to nominate gardens that fit the theme we’ve announced. And of course, if a garden has already won GOTM in the past, it cannot win again.

NEW Greeting Cards

Lastly, we thought you might like some new stationery to spread the word about your gardens, and to ask your fellow gardeners, “How does your garden grow?”! We’ve sprouted 3 new Limited Edition Greeting Cards available HERE! Although gardens aren’t typically temporary these Greeting Cards would also make perfect additions in a temp garden at an event or high profile area. Get creative and stock up today!

Shiver Me Timbers! There Be Flat RUM Scatters 🏴‍☠️

Shiver me timbers! Be on the lookout for returning Flat RUM Scatters to celebrate our beloved Resellers for National Rum Day! Starting NOW until Sunday, August 18, 2024 at 23:59 MHQ, Flat RUMs will temporarily scatter 1-3 Pirate Wares!

Limited Time Scatter Details

From the period of Friday, August 16 at 12:00 MHQ through Sunday, August 18th at 23:59 MHQ, when you capture Flat RUMS, up to 3 Pirate Wares may be scattered nearby!

And as for any good Treasure Chest, the Two Dimensional Treasure has a chance of rewarding you with Zeds! Leave no chest uninspected!

The Pirate Wares Flat scatters will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Flat RUM owner’s account. This means that unlike Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn points for the owner! Secret ZeeOps – EleMENTAL (August 2024)

Familiarize yourself with the elements to prepare for a momentous battle! An ALL NEW Secret ZeeOps is now available in the ZeeOps Hub for the usual cost of 1,500 Zeds until 23:59 MHQ on September 30th. Remember, if you’ve purchased a Secret ZeeOp, you can complete it and collect rewards even after it is no longer available for purchase.

Agents, elemental tribes are on the brink of war and it’s up to you to broker peace between them! They won’t take kindly to an outsider interfering though, so you’ll need to prove your mastery of the elements if you want to unify the warlords. Completing a series of missions will unlock new levels in this operation. There are four levels, each with four missions. If you conquer every mission in Operation: EleMENTAL, you’ll earn a celebratory badge, the NEW FR0ST Guardian MECH (info below), and more exciting rewards listed in the app!

 

NEW Mech Details

Like the other Munzee Mechz, FR0ST Guardian is a temporary POB that will remain on the map until it has been captured 15 times.

8/15/24 UPDATE: Due to code changes since the last time these scatters were live, scatters from Fancy Flat Lous are currently being deployed on the landing pad owner’s account, with the exception of Champagne Bottles which are being deployed on the virtuals account. Our apologies to the Fancy Flat Lou owners who were expecting to get CapOn points from these scatters — unfortunately, there is no quick way for us to correct this, so we’ll have to address it before the next time we re-release these scatters.

France is the country to be this month, as it’s hosting not only the world’s biggest sporting event but also the 3rd Tour de France Femmes Avec Zwift! Our very own Lou has hit the road in support of the race, and to celebrate we’ve brought back Flat Lou scatters as well. 🔥 Get Fired Up With An Elemental Community Challenge!

We’re celebrating Player AppreZEEation this month, but don’t let that make you think you got off easy in August! We’re constantly impressed with how much our players can achieve when you work together, so we’ve set up a new Community Challenge to really showcase your skills. Can your combined might master the elements? Rally your friends and family, team up to reach the goal, and everyone who participates will unlock special rewards. Read on to find out more!

Elemental Community Challenge

As a community, work together to earn 50,000,000 total points from Elemental Mysteries (including scatters)! This will be a month long challenge active from Thursday, August 1st at 00:01 MHQ to Saturday, August 31st at 23:59 MHQ. To give everyone a head start, all activity on Elemental Mysteries earlier this month will count towards the challenge progress. This should also benefit players who have already started working on their Clan Wars requirements for August!

  • Goal: Earn 50 Million Total Points from Elemental Mysteries
    • As a mini-goal, each base Elemental Mystery type will also need a minimum of 100,000 Total Points earned
    • For example, 100,000 points earned just for the Earth Mystery (no scatters), etc.
  • Challenge Starts: Thursday, August 1st at 00:01 MHQ
  • Challenge Ends: Saturday, August 31st at 23:59 MHQ

If the community reaches the overall goal, everyone who participated will receive the first of a special new line of Elemental Mechz deployed on their account! Which Elemental Mech will be released first? That’s up to you! Whichever Elemental Mystery earns the most points during the challenge will determine which mech is received. NOTE – Players must have earned one of the two participation badges above in order to be eligible to receive the mech, so make sure you start working towards those goals. Along with the mech and blueprint badge, everyone will also earn an overall Community Challenge badge to commend your efforts!

  • Blueprint Badge to rebuild Elemental Mystery Mech
  • Community Challenge Badge

We’ll keep the details about the Elemental Mech a mystery for now, but will reveal more information as the challenge gets closer to wrapping up! Start earning those Elemental Mystery points to see which mech will be revealed! And with how driven the community is, it’s possible this goal may be reached sooner rather than later – and if that’s the case we’ve prepared another stretch goal with additional prizes! If the second goal is met, the community will unlock and be rewarded with a 2nd Elemental Mystery Mech!!

Elemental Leaderboard Badges

Think you’ve got what it takes to top the charts and become the master of the elements? Pick an elemental and see if you can reign supreme! For each of the 8 different Elemental Mysteries, we’ll also be awarding 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place badges to those who earn the most Total Points for each type during the Community Challenge timeframe. Will you claim the title of Earthen Exemplar or Void Vanguard? May the best elementalist win!
