🧲 Magnet Update: More Variety, Fewer Repeats 🧲

We’ve made some exciting updates to Magnets to help make them more useful, rewarding, and a little less repetitive!

Previously, using a Magnet could sometimes result in the same bouncer being attracted multiple times in a row — especially on landing pads with several eligible bouncers. With this latest update, Magnets will now do a better job of cycling through the available options and trying to attract something different each time.

So if you’re hunting for a specific bouncer, filling out your collection, or simply hoping to see a little more variety on the map, your Magnets should now give you a better chance of doing just that! Stock up on extra Magnets HERE: https://store.freezetag.com/collections/munzee-magnets

🔄 How Does It Work?

Each time you use a Magnet on the same Munzee, the system will look through the bouncers eligible to land there and try to attract one you haven’t already pulled during that cycle.

This applies within bouncer families too! For example, if several Widdlz are eligible to land on the same type, your Magnet may cycle through different members of the family, such as the Widdl Witch, Widdl Wizard, and others, rather than repeatedly attracting the same Widdl.

This doesn’t mean duplicates are impossible, but you should see fewer back-to-back repeats and more variety as you continue magnetizing the same Munzee.

🪦 What Happens When The Cycle Runs Out?

Eventually, the Magnet may work through all of the unique eligible bouncers available for that landing pad. When that happens, it will attract a RetireMyth!

Think of the RetireMyth as the end of that Magnet cycle — once it appears, the cycle resets and the system can begin working through the eligible bouncers again from the beginning. So you may still encounter duplicates after a reset, but the updated system should help spread them out rather than repeatedly serving up the same bouncer.

🧲 Make The Most Of Your Magnets

Remember, you can magnetize a single Munzee up to 3 times per MHQ day.

That means the more Magnet opportunities you use on the same landing pad, the more chances you have to work through its eligible bouncer pool and potentially attract something different.

This could be especially useful if you’re:

  • Chasing a certain bouncer for your collection
  • Looking for specific bouncers that only visit certain landing pads
  • Trying to tame or claim special creatures such as Dragon Trainer Specials or Gargoyles
  • Simply hoping to encounter more variety instead of the same familiar faces

And as an added bonus, this improved cycling should also help more player-owned bouncers move out of Limbo and back onto the map, giving everyone more opportunities to discover and capture them!
