An unlikely chef has joined the kitchen! This NEW chocolatier MunzShroom is the perfect example of why you should never judge a book by its cover! Add the Trufflemaker MunzShroom to your collection by completing your capture streak in December and dare to explore all the different facets of your personality!

If you completed your November capture streak, prepare to receive the OilTycoon MunzShroom Skin (and corresponding badge) in early December. Read on to learn more about the latest addition to the MunzShroom family!

November MunzShroom Reminders

If you haven’t picked up a base MunzShroom yet, they are available in the Freeze Tag Store for $2.

As a reminder, this is how to have a permanent MunzShroom on your account next year:

  • Own at least 8 MunzShrooms by the end of the year.
    • Each month, the price of a MunzShroom will decrease by $1.
    • However, players can only purchase 1 MunzShroom every 28 days.

2025 is coming to a close! How is it December? My how time flies when you’re capping every day! Welcome back the festive Premium tPOB, the Baby Hippo! This month Level 3 and above is only for premium members with a deploy of the Baby Hippo through the premium tab in the redeem store.

If you are not yet a premium member we hope you will consider supporting the game through a premium membership. This is available via monthly or yearly subscription directly in the app, or a yearly purchase online. If you purchase through the app a 7 day free trial begins, and your status will not be updated until the end of that trial period.

Your Clan can earn monthly badges by reaching certain levels in Clan Wars. But remember, you only get a badge (and rewards) if the whole clan reaches that level. In December, there are six badges up for grabs. Here’s a sneak peek at the Level 1 badge:

*The Baby Hippo tPOB will be available to claim as a special trade in the Premium section of the redeem store beginning December 3rd. Cost will be 0 zeds (that’s right, ZERO zeds). The Baby Hippo will be auto-deployed on your account when redeemed.

🎪 Visit the Traveling Troupe this Thanksgiving! 🍗

The Traveling Troupe is back in town — and just in time to celebrate Turkey Day! These eight performers wanted to create their very own harvest festival, and you’re invited! From NOW through Sunday, November 30th at 23:59 MHQ, the Traveling Troupe specials will be bouncing back onto the map.

While there aren’t any new acts joining the lineup yet, fans of the troupe won’t want to miss this encore performance — especially with an exclusive new badge available during this limited run! Keep reading for all the festive details!

🏰🥩 Meet Sir Loin, Another Medieval Mech Dad! 🤖👨‍🍼

Deep in the the enchanted groves, a new band of mechz is gathering outside of work hours—the Dads of Sirwood Forest! These Middle-Aged Mechanical Medieval Fathers may crack groan-inducing dad jokes, but don’t be fooled—their courage (and questionable hobbies) make them a force to be reckoned with. Last time, you met Sir CutTree — read on to find out about the next merry mech!

The 2nd in this new line of Mechz is Sir Loin, perhaps the hottest dad of the bunch — literally! His SKUer Sword gives him quite a far reach, allowing him to jab at tender cuts of meat from across the counter. Add this noble knight to your company HERE!

Landing Pads

This mech will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture this mech on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same mech visits you. This mech is non-blastable. It will be attracted to both Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access this mech by turning on your “All Expiring Specials” filter.

When Sir Loin is captured, it will scatter up to 3 SKUer Swords on the Mech owner’s account.

These scatters will be visible to any player and expire after 120 minutes. They have a capture radius of 300 feet. Since they are passive deploys, these scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity.

When we first launched Community Credits, we asked you to help shape the future of Munzee — and you absolutely delivered! Our very first vote quickly crowned the Virtual Auto Capture Booster as a clear frontrunner, which we just rolled out in yesterday’s blog. Hot on its heels, the CapOn Booster claimed the runner-up spot, and that feature has now joined the game as well. In short: you voted, and we’ve been hard at work making your wishes come true! 💚

Now it’s time for the 2nd round of Community Credits Voting — this time focused on some bigger picture projects that will take more time to develop. As we plan priorities for the new year, we’re excited to see where you want us to invest our energy next.

  • Head to the Camp Hub in the Munzee app and tap on the Ballot Box on the tree to open the Community Credits screen.
  • Or visit CuppaZee here to view all proposals and submit your votes directly.
  • You can contribute any number of Community Credits toward one or more options — spread them out or go all-in on your favorites!

Please remember: while Community Credit votes strongly influence our roadmap, these larger projects will take time to design, build, and test. A winning option does not guarantee an immediate release, but it does tell us loud and clear what the community is most excited about.

👎 New: Downvoting Now Available

With this next round of voting, we’re adding a brand-new way to share feedback: downvotes! While it’s easy to see which options are popular, we also want to understand which ideas might be polarizing, controversial, or simply not a good fit for many players.

Now, when you tap into a proposal to vote, you’ll notice a new red button that lets you submit a negative vote. This means you can:

  • Send positive votes to the ideas you’d love to see developed.
  • Send negative votes to the ideas you’d prefer we do not pursue.

Both positive and negative votes will be factored in, and the proposals will reorder automatically based on the combined results. This helps us see not just what’s beloved, but also which ideas might split opinion or raise concerns. Feel strongly about us not working on a specific proposal? Make your voice heard with a downvote and let us know!

🛷🎅 Sleigh the Season with New Winter BVGs 🐧🍪

Bundle up, because our fourth wave of BVGs is sliding in with full festive flair! We’re swapping out spooky season for snowflakes and sugarplums, with four brand-new winter / holiday designs to deck your map: a cozy Penguin, sweet Gingerbread, classic Holly, and a gift-packed Santa Sleigh BVG. Whether you’re chasing end-of-year goals or just want your map to look merry and bright, these cheerful bouncers are ready to turn your local area into a winter wonderland! Once the gardens start bouncing on Friday, November 21st, it will bounce for 6 weeks, meaning until 23:59 MHQ on January 2nd!

As before, each garden will launch at a different time to give players around the world a fair shot at deploying. A single Bouncing Virtual pin costs $5.00, and each player may purchase up to 1 BVC per garden. Check out this pin that received 454 caps from one of the first BVG sold. That’s 22,700 CapOn points in just over 6 weeks from a single deploy!

      • ALL badges take varying amounts of time to award — sometimes they appear instantly, and other times they can take a few hours. Most DO appear within 24 hours though!

💨🧹 Virtual Auto Capture Booster Now Available for ZeeQRew Members! 🚧👷

Recently we launched the CapOn Booster, which, despite being only 2nd place in the latest vote, seems to have been warmly received! Now we’re excited to launch what you’ve really been waiting for — the Virtual Auto Capture Booster! However, as we are still fully testing all functionality, we’re making it available to ZeeQRew Members only for now. Then, after we’ve received sufficient feedback and made adjustments accordingly, we’ll make it available to all! Consider it an open beta test to our most loyal players. As a special added thank you, all Premium Members will receive 1 Virtual Auto Capture Booster for free to give it a spin!

To access these latest features, you’ll need to make sure you’re on the latest version of Munzee from the App Stores (4.1.246 on iOS and 4.1.247 Android), then restart the app to pull down the latest over-the-air update version #1219.

🎯 What Does the Virtual Auto Capture Booster Do?

The Virtual Auto Capture Booster (VAC) is designed for our players who want to safely capture munzees along their route while jogging, biking, or moving their bodies in other ways! When activated, this Booster captures all virtual munzees you move within range of for the next 30 minutes or until 100 munzees are captured, whichever comes first. Now you won’t have to interrupt your exercise flow as often! To activate this booster, head to your Profile, tap on Inventory, then tap on Boosters and select the Virtual Auto Capture Booster.

When you have a Virtual Auto Capture Booster active, it will show a gold radius circle indicating the area of the map where it can potentially capture munzees. As you move, the munzees captured with the booster will change to show the booster icon to indicate that it is being captured, similar to the bomb icons when blasting! Check out the screenshots below to see how we sucked up and captured a whole field of Surprise Munzees!

NOTE KNOWN ISSUES: Since this is an early soft launch, there may still be some issues capturing all virtuals when running in the background (with the app closed) or when using it alongside the Capture Radius Booster. The app MUST remain “on” for the VAC to work in the background, do not force close the app.

💡 Pro Tip: Know Before You Go!

As this booster works quite differently from all the others we’ve released, there are some important points to keep in mind:

  • Your mileage may vary depending on how quickly you’re moving!
  • This booster WILL use up more of your device’s power as it will run in the background
  • This booster WILL capture bouncer destinations — so DO NOT deploy any while you have it running, otherwise it will be capped immediately after you deploy it, possibly with 0 bouncers inside!
