If you are allowed to roam about your neighborhood for some fresh air, you might find a rare surprise waiting for you! Our seventh 20/20 Vision Munzee is guaranteed to elicit some giggles from those who dare to look upon your face! These springy accessories were deployed this afternoon at 15:00 MHQ. Now you’ll really be able to keep an eye on things!

The myriad personality types out there mean there are as many different senses of humor. In recent years, the Dad joke has risen in popularity, but there are still many out there who prefer a more subtle humor. Regardless, it’s hard not to laugh at someone wearing a quality pair of Joke Glasses. We think the beauty lies in the realistic eyeball popping out of the wearer’s face, only to be dragged back up and then back down again due to the attached spring. So you finally bit the bullet and bought 2 tickets to that thing you love. Unfortunately, you got the worst seats in the house. Our sixth 20/20 Vision Munzee will let you experience the show as if you were right in front of the stage! These elegant magnifiers were deployed this afternoon at 15:00 MHQ. As of March 16, The Metropolitan Opera has been streaming a new opera each night for FREE on their homepage! A few, such as Carmen, Tristan und Isolde, and Macbeth are perhaps the most-well known to the general public, but this is a great opportunity to become a little more cultured and give the other lesser-known operas a shot! At the time of writing, these free operas are scheduled up until April 5th! While you won’t need Theatre Binoculars to view them, if you are lucky enough to own a pair, why not hold them in one hand as you watch? It’ll probably be a great arm workout!

According to Forbes, in the most recent Winter Olympics, the ski goggles of choice for many athletes were from Oakley’s Harmony Fade collection:

It’s a well-known fact in the Munzee community that we are fans of the The King. Dylan has even graced an event in his likeness! Following the success of last week’s special Spectacular Spectacles, our second 20/20 Vision Munzee will add a little rock-and-roll to your wardrobe with its conveniently attached sideburns! These beauties were deployed this afternoon at 15:00 MHQ. Time to fry up some peanut butter and banana sandwiches!

Foresight is 20/20 with these New Specials!

This Throwback Thursday harkens back to the joys of yesteryear with an equally special announcement. Following the success of last year’s Global Grub specials, we are excited to announce that our first of two dozen 20/20 Vision specials for the year will be launching this afternoon at 15:00 MHQ. If you use reading glasses, make sure you have them equipped so you can learn all about these special accessories!

The 20/20 Vision specials are very rare munzees that will bounce around the world for the remainder of the year. That means you’ll be spending the next twelve months capturing pins featuring 24 different pairs of glasses in order to earn their corresponding badges. We hope spotting these rare munzees will help to train and improve your vision!

Our first 20/20 Vision special to launch is the Spectacular Spectacles Munzee! This physical munzee, features a pair of plain black frames. These may seem a little basic, but don’t worry there’s all sorts of eye-catching eyewear in store! Only one will be deployed, and it will bounce to Greenies every 12 hours or when captured. These will be attracted to Magnets though so be sure to stock up!

Players will earn a badge for each different 20/20 Vision Munzee they capture starting with the Perfect Vision badge for capturing the Spectacular Spectacles pin! Down the line, we’ll also be putting out an overall capture line, so stay tuned for more.

Each 20/20 Vision Munzee will go live at 15:00 MHQ on their assigned day. We’re not announcing when each launch will be, but we expect to release a couple specials each month.

All 20/20 Vision specials will leave the map on 12/31/2020 at 23:59 MHQ. Until then, you’ll be able to capture the 20/20 Vision specials on other players’ munzees as well as your own. Although there is only one Spectacular Spectacles 20/20 Vision Special, future releases may include more. You’ll just have to wait and see! Some of these specials will be physical, while others will be virtual. Keep in mind that virtuals will not be blastable.

The weather outside is frightful, but that doesn’t mean we don’t want to feast! As we head into our final month for our Global Grub releases, we’re thrilled to announce the addition of Vietnam Global Grub specials to the map starting today at 15:00 MHQ time!

A total of 12 Vietnam Global Grub specials will be deployed. They will join other virtual Global Grub specials such as USA, Ukraine, France, Australia, and more! They will bounce to regular virtuals and colored virtuals every 12 hours or when captured.

Every time a Global Grub special is captured, you will earn a badge featuring a dish of food that is unique to the flag pin country. Capturing the Vietnam Global Grub will earn you the following special badge:

Pho is Vietnam’s answer to other countries’ popular noodle soups, such as the Japanese Ramen or Korean Ramyun. However, you’ll find they are vastly different — looking at the ingredients alone, you can see some clear differences. Pho noodles are made from rice flour, which gives them a slightly translucent white color. In addition, Pho puts the emphasis on fresh herbs and vegetables, which offer a lighter alternative for noodle soup fans!

The Global Grub specials will bounce around the globe for the remainder of the year before leaving the map on 12/31/2019 at 23:59 MHQ time. You will have until then to try your luck capturing these very rare specials. Lumpia is a spring roll originating from China and commonly found in Indonesia and the Philippines. It is a savory snack made of thin crepe pastry skin called “lumpia wrapper” enveloping a mixture of savory fillings, and consists of chopped vegetables or also minced meat.

We bet you’ve never had a sandwich quite like a francesinha! This Portuguese sandwich is composed of bread, well-cured ham, fresh sausage, linguiça, roast meats, and steak. Then it’s doused in melted cheese and a thick, hot beer and tomato sauce. Essentially it’s the meat lovers dream, and not intended for those who are watching their figures. But, hey, life’s short! Try a francesinha!
