New RUM Badges

Land ho! While you’re sailing the high seas and getting a taste of the RUMs, you have to fly banners of your conquests. Now, you can.

We’ve added a new line of badges for the Reseller Unique Munzees to accompany the current lines. These badges are awarded for deploying 5 RUMs from 1, 3, and 5 unique resellers. These badges ARE retroactive, and will appear in game the morning of September 8th and forward.

: Hoist the Flag – Deploy 5 RUMs belonging to one specific reseller.

: Banners Flying – Deploy 5 RUMs from each of 3 specific resellers (15 RUMs total).

: Banner Flags – Deploy 5 RUMs from each of 5 specific resllers (25 RUMs total).

You Can Now Earn Munzee Badges by Playing Eventzee!

We like to reward our players for reaching milestones in the Munzee universe, and we’re always trying to expand those rewards, especially in the form of badges. We’re proud to announce two new lines of badges that can be earned by playing our photo scavenger hunt- Eventzee. These badges are retroactive and will show in the Munzee app when the badges launch. They will appear in the Eventzee app with the next app update, which is slated for some time next week.

These new badges are the Photographer and Pioneers of Gold lines and will each have three levels with possible future additions. The best way to achieve these badges is to join the free Weekend Photo Scavenger Hunts hosted by Eventzee each weekend. These worldwide hunts run from Thursdays to Sundays with clues going live at 3 PM MHQ time. Your photo will be either approved or rejected and you will earn points based on your submissions. We’ve also included a new cumulative leaderboard that you can visit online at www.eventzeeapp.com/leaderboard.

To join these hunts just find the Weekend Warriors event on the Eventzee in-app calendar and RSVP. If you’re interested in hosting your own Eventzee hunt please contact eventze@munzee.com and we’ll get you set up with the right package!

PHOTOGRAPHER LINE:

Pin Hole Camera – Take 20 photos in Eventzee.

Instant Camera – Take 100 photos in Eventzee.

Point and Shoot Camera – Take 250 photos in Eventzee.

PIONEERS OF GOLD LINE:

Pliny’s Fool’s Gold – Earn 250 overall points in Eventzee.

Grizzly Adams’ Gold Rush – Earn 1,000 overall points in Eventzee.

Blackbeard’s Booty – Earn 5,000 overall points in Eventzee.

Announcing New Hotel Badges

We’re pleased to announce that our haunted hotel munzees have now hired an equally eerie staff to help run the various institutions that have spread across the map. These new badges are for achievements with hotels (not motels) including renting rooms and deploying hotels.

: Hotel Bellhop – You have rented a room in 10 hotels.

: Hotel Valet – You have rented a room in 50 hotels.

: Hotel Concierge – You have rented a room in 100 hotels.

: Overview Hotel – You have deployed 5 hotels.

: Hilly Hotel – You have deployed 25 hotels.

: Fates Hotel – You have deployed 50 hotels.

Munzee Gift Specials are on the map NOW!

Uh oh- looks like Santazee lost a few presents on his test flight across the world! As some of our more attentive players have noticed, specials gift icons have started to pop up across the map and it’s up to you to cap them before the winter holidays are over. There are 500 gift specials around the map which bounce if not capped after 6 hours. Once captured, 25 points will be split between owner and capper, with a minimum of 5 points each. If you cap a gift you’ll even get to open it and get yourself a nifty Snow Globe Badge!

These presents will be on the map throughout the month, so be sure to capture them while you can! Check out www.munzee.com/gifts for a map showing where the nearest gift is to you. Santa also has a few more test flights before the big day, so keep your eye out for any other drops. Expect the unexpected and Happy holidays!

Have you earned the 12 Days of Christmas Badge?

We’re a few days into the Munzee Twelve Days of Christmas, and we’ve already got a handful of players earning the “12 Days” badge!

Congrats, ReMiKu. You were one of the first players to earn the badge!

Remember folks, you only need to capture 6 of our Christmas specials to earn the badge!

As more icons roll out, all players should notice an increase in icon “hops” -this should improve everyone’s chances of getting out there and cappin’ a special. So happy hunting, have fun, and share the world of Munzee with friends and family this Holiday season!

Update: We also plan to release some additional badges today. Be sure to check your Achievements to see what surprise you’ve earned!
