April Events Update! Act Fast

The April Events announcement went out a couple of weeks ago, and we have been delighted with the response.

The calendar is filling fast, and so is Trish’s diary! There are still slots available for custom badges and icons but not for much longer. Please get orders and art requests in ASAP, and we will be moving to generic artwork requests only in the next week or so when Trish has run out of slots for custom work!

These April Events Are No Joke!

Are you ready to have some fun with Munzee Events this April? We are excited to announce we are offering special packages for the whole of the month of April!

Please get your events on the calendar and let me know which package you’d like. Each one has a unique host badge:

  • The Fool – Basic event and no proximity restrictions – $30
  • The Joker – The Fool plus 20 virtuals – $50
  • The Jester – The Joker plus badge and icon – $150
  • The Clown –  The Jester plus Eventzee – $200

For $20 extra you can add a little more fun to your event, too. We will code a special munzee in your event account with an extra April Fool’s Badge, and when capped it will give points ranging from 50 all the way down to a possible -5! Each player will also get a prize wheel credit, so not all is lost!

So get those events on the calendar, orders in, and artwork requests to me nice and early please. As Trish’s diary fills up, we will have to move to generic artwork.

February Resolution Badge Details!

How has 2019 been treating you so far? As we announced last month in our January Resolutions blog, we will be launching monthly Capture Streak Badges centered on a year of self-improvement. Each month’s badge will be dedicated to accomplishing a different New Year’s Resolution. Similar to how our Super Streak badges operate, you will be awarded a badge if you capture at least one munzee* each day for the entire month. And since this month is the shortest, you have no excuse not to try!

Each month’s badge will be themed around the particular resolution goal. While our January resolution focused on eating healthy, we decided to do something special for the month of love. Love comes in more than just romantic forms, so we made our February resolution to make new friends.

Why meet new people?

Though socializing comes natural to some lucky humans, many struggle to build new friendships. While it’s tempting to retreat into yourself, there are actually proven health benefits that friendship can provide.

In fact, having friends may even extend your lifespan. People who forge strong social relationships are less likely to die prematurely compared to their isolated counterparts. Friends help each other get healthier, as well as improve mental sharpness. And, of course, we need friends to lean on in tough times, bounce ideas off, challenge our beliefs, and widen our perspectives. Overall, having a trusted network of friends makes us healthier, more balanced, and more centered beings.

One of our favorite parts about Munzee is all the new people we meet along the way. Whether we’re traveling across states or nations, or simply checking our social media and e-mails, we love hearing about and seeing how Munzee has brought people together. It’s not always easy to branch out, but sharing a common interest really helps with meeting new people. And while nothing can replace physical friends, it’s pretty awesome to have virtual ones as well!

So go out, make some friends, and maybe even introduce them to Munzee! Good luck and Munzee on!

* In order to encourage active gameplay we will not count Social Munzees for these capture streaks. If you know you’ll be in an area without munzees, plan ahead!

LegaZeeOps- Operation: The End

Agents, ZeeOps HQ’s system has been hacked and all of our files on past missions have been erased! You’ll have to recreate past Operations in what we’re calling LegaZeeOps. It’s up to you to keep the legacy of this organization in tact. The missions for this month are the same that were previously available in July 2018’s Operations.

The final moves are about to be played. The war between the First Clan and The Rising Sons has come to a head and the safety of the world hangs in the balance. To make matter worse The Zodiac Vigilante and his hoard of Evolution Munzees are fighting back. The Vigilante has joined forces with the R.U.M. and the Mean Green Gang, whose aggressive tactics are a danger to civilians.

The final chapter of this ongoing war is upon us and it’s up to ZeeOps Agents worldwide to join together!

February 2019 ZeeOps Operations are now live and you can begin planning your Missions to start on the following day. You can plan your Operations at munzee.com/ops/ and purchase more ZeeCred in the Freeze Tag Online Store. Remember that if you hit a snag at any point in your Operation you can use the Mission Mulligan feature to keep going!

This month features a lot of different Munzee types so be sure to stock up in the online store.

By completing any Operation this month you’ll earn the new* “LegaZeeOps- Operation: The End” badge.

*Due to requests from the community all LegaZeeOps badges will now be different from the badge earned during the initial run of the month’s Operations. So players who earned the “Operation: The End” badge in July 2018 can also earn the “LegaZeeOps- Operation: The End” badge as well by completing a February 2019 Operation.

This month’s Missions are as follows:

LEVEL 1:

Basic Training +- Earn at least 1,000 points.
Clan Classification- Capture at least 5 of ANY type of evolution munzee and at least 5 of any type of Clan Weapon
Green Gauntlets- Deploy at least 5 greenies and deploy at least 5 clan weapons of any type.
Celestial Swashbucklers- Capture at least 5 of any type of Zodiac munzees, at least 5 of any type of RUMs, AND at least 5 of any type of Evolution munzees.
Sea of Stars- Deploy at least 5 of any type of Zodiac munzees AND at least 5 of any type of RUMs. 

LEVEL 2:

Green Gear- Going Green – Capture at least 20 greenies and deploy at least 10 greenies.
Clan Captives – Capture at least 25 greenies AND at least 10 clan weapons of any type
R.U.M. Rescue- Capture at least 10 of any type of Zodiac munzees AND at least 5 RUMs AND at least 5 of any type of Evolution munzees
R.U.M. Relay- Deploy at least 5 of any type of RUMs, at least 5 of any type of clan weapon munzees AND at least 5 of any type of Evolution munzees
Green Gallows- Capture at least 10 Evolution munzees and capture at least 5 RUMs AND deploy at least 3 of any type of Evolution munzees and at least 10 greenies.

LEVEL 3:

From The Outside In- Deploy at least 50 greenies.
Green Getaway- Deploy at least 25 greenies AND at least 15 of any type of clan weapons
Misleading Meeting- Capture at least 10 of any type of Zodiac munzees, at least 10 of any type of Evolution munzees, at least 10 of any type of RUMs AND at least 10 greenies
Chemical Copycat- Capture at least 20 and deploy at least 10 of any type of Zodiac munzees AND capture at least 20 and deploy at least 10 of any type of Evolution munzees
Clan Chemist- Deploy at least 15 Evolution munzees AND at least 20 of any type of Clan Weapon

LEVEL 4:

Bad Bait- Deploy at least 15 greenies, at least 15 of any type of PHYSICAL clan weapon munzees, at least 15 of any PHYSICAL type of evolution munzees AND at least 5 RUMs
Year Of The Copycat– Capture at least 5 Chinese Zodiac munzees, at least 25 of any type of PHYSICAL clan weapon munzees, at least 10 RUMs, AND at least 10 of any type of PHYSICAL Evolution munzees
Battle Royale- Deploy at least 10 Chinese Zodiac munzees, at least 15 RUMs munzees, AND at least 25 of any PHYSICAL type of clan weapon munzees
The Final Stand– Capture at least 50 greenies AND deploy at least 10 of any type of PHYSICAL clan weapon munzees and at least 10 of any type of Zodiac munzees
The End?– Deploy at least 100 greenies.

Completing Operations will give you some hard earned rewards as well.

This month’s rewards are:

1 prize wheel, 1 Virtual and 1 Virtual Color Credit, and 10 Zee Creds

Advanced Op
2 prize wheel, 1 diamond, 1 Surprise, 1 blast cap, 2 Virtuals and 2 Virtual Color Credits, 1 Goggles and 15 Zee Creds

New Year’s Resolution Streak Badges!

With the new year nearly here, we’ve all got ways we’d like to better ourselves in 2019. Easier said than done, right? Well we know how tough it is to keep up with new year’s resolutions so we’ve put together a rewards system to help keep you on track! How you ask? By capping munzees of course!

We’re excited to announce that starting January 1st we’re launching monthly Capture Streak Badges focused on various New Year’s Resolutions. Similar to the Super Streak badges all you have to do is capture at least one munzee* each day for the entire month. If you can make it through the whole month you’ll be awarded a badge themed to that month’s resolution goal!

To kick things off we’re all going to try and eat better in January! Look, nobody likes french fries and desserts more than us, but we need a little more greenery in our lives! 

Did you know?

According to the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention, just 1 in 10 adults in the US eat the recommended amount of fruit or vegetables? Depending on various factors federal guidelines recommend that adults eat at least 1½ to 2 cups per day of fruit and 2 to 3 cups per day of vegetables.  By having fruits and vegetables in your daily diet you can reduce the risk of many leading causes of illness and death, including heart disease, type 2 diabetes, some cancers, and obesity. While some countries may have a better percentage of healthy eaters than the US we know there is always room for improvement!

The more you know, right?!

We know capping a munzee each day won’t magically make you eat better, but we hope as you work towards this capture streak you think about grabbing an apple on your way back! We’re all in this together and if nothing else it will help you get one step closer to the yearlong capture and deploy streak badges. We’ll have a different resolution badge design each month, but try and keep up with your resolutions throughout the year! We believe in you!
