Bash Weekend Fun Starts Early with Worldwide Sale!

We can’t wait to see a bunch of your faces at MHQ Bash this weekend! However, many players can’t make it out to North Texas, and we want to make sure that ALL players have access to some extra special Munzee fun this weekend. Limited Edition Badges

In celebration of Weapons Weekend, there are also two limited edition badges that you can pick up this weekend only! Earning these two badges will be possible if you’re in the MedZEEval spirit!

You can earn both of these badges for worldwide captures and deploys of Clan Weapons during MedZEEval Times weekend, which starts on Friday, September 27 at 00:01 MHQ time and concludes on Sunday, September 29 at 23:59 MHQ time. Since there is such a short time frame to earn these, we have listed the requirements for each below.

Please note that these badges will not count any Clan Weapon activity before Friday at 00:01 MHQ. Don’t forget, we also have 7 badges to earn through MedZEEval Times themed Knight’s Armor specials as well. Those specials are available until October 6 at 23:59 MHQ time,

Weapons Weekend and More!

There is even more worldwide fun to be had with Weapons Weekend, which will see all Clan Weapons activity earn double points from September 27 at 00:01 MHQ time until September 29 at 23:59 MHQ time. Plus, we told you that there would be something special going on with Unicorns and Dragons during this timeframe, and we didn’t forget!

All activity on Unicorns and Dragons (Myths and Variants) will also be worth double points for Bash weekend, and they will bounce every 6 hours during this timeframe if not capped in order to allow more opportunity for players to pick up points! Don’t forget you can use Magnets to increase your chances of getting these mythical monsters and increased points!

Don’t forget that as of the publication of this blog, our special Pink Peony pins are now being sold in limited quantities as well for a donation to NTFB! We hope these announcements get everyone geared up for a munz-tastic weekend!

IMPORTANT DETAILS

In addition to the schedule, the following important information needs to be kept in consideration for the events. We kindly ask that you carefully read through the information below if you plan on joining us for any of the events this weekend.

Food Drive Details: 9/27 Only
MHQ Bash attendees will have the chance to spin the IRL Prize Wheel by donating to the North Texas Food Bank! Prizes will include physical and virtual products, as well as some unique in-person only surprises. To receive a ticket for a spin on the Prize Wheel, either bring 4 “Requested” food items, or 1 jar of peanut butter. Donations will only be accepted on 9/27 during registration.

Weapons Weekend: 9/27 – 9/29
Don’t forget that Weapons Weekend means there will be double points on ALL Clan Weapon activity from Friday 9/27 at 00:01 MHQ time through Sunday 9/29 at 23:59 MHQ time! That means it’s a weekend of fun that all players worldwide can partake in! This weekend all variants of Unicorns and Dragons will also be 2x points! These Myths will also bounce every 6 hours during this time-frame if not capped. Be sure to stock up on Magnets!

Munzee Market: 9/27 Only
Join us at MHQ to shop at the Munzee Store. We’ll have a variety of products and we’ll also be creating customized products on the spot. Supplies are limited, so don’t miss out! The Personal Card Book is also available during this time. The MHQ Store will only be available on 9/27 during Registration. Don’t forget there’s also a sale in the online store until Monday at 10:00 MHQ time! Just go to the MedZEEval Times collection and all of the products will automatically be discounted.

A Special Gift for Munzee Players!

Starting tomorrow at 10:00 MHQ time, players who captured a She Said YES bouncing munzee special in August will be awarded one munzee in a special Pink Peony virtual garden! At the same time, there will be an opportunity to purchase a limited quantity of open Peony garden spots from the Freeze Tag Online Store. A portion of these sales will also go to the North Texas Food Bank! Read on to learn more!

A Special Gift

It all started with a special garden! To help Rob pull off one more surprise for Louise, player denali0407 put her garden creating skills to great use to craft a special Pink Peony garden near the Sunday morning MHQ Bash 6 event. The idea behind the garden was to deploy one pin for every person who captured the She Said YES specials in order to surprise Louise with her favorite flower. With over 3,000 captures of the specials, the garden design needed to be quite large, accounting for many of the special Pink Peony colored pins. The garden pins will be awarded tomorrow beginning at 10:00 MHQ time to all players who capped at least one of the She Said YES specials. With 3000+ to be deployed it may take a bit of time for you to see it in your deployed list if you earned one.

There are also a limited quantity of around 500 Pink Peony garden pins available for purchase at 10:00 MHQ tomorrow! You’ll have to act fast to be part of this opportunity, so be sure to keep this link handy for when it goes live! Each spot in the garden will cost $2, with no player purchasing limit. Similar to an Emerald Virtual Garden, you can purchase the pins in the Freeze Tag store and it will automatically be deployed in this garden.

We’ll be donating $500 from the Pink Peony garden pin proceeds to the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB)! As Bash attendees are aware, we’re using this year’s event as an opportunity to join forces with players to give back to the NTFB. Bash attendees will earn 1 spin on the IRL Prize Wheel for every 4 “requested” canned food items they bring to Bash Registration, and now more players will have the chance to give to a good cause. So even if you can’t make it to Texas for MHQ Bash, you can still help families in need by purchasing a Pink Peony garden pin!

It’s sure to be a jam-packed weekend of fun and more surprises for players worldwide!

Announcing Halloween Event Packages!

Summer is finally winding down here in Texas, and the changing seasons are getting us in gear for the next big holiday. No, we’re not talking about MHQ Bash 6! We’re fast-forwarding to celebrate more future festivities with our Halloween Event Package announcement!

Alongside the release of Halloween packages, we’re also excited to reveal a new event setup process that will now make it easier than ever to host your own Munzee Events! There is a lot of information to go through, so we’ve made it all available on our Help Guide. Check out the Munzee Events section for a comprehensive breakdown of each aspect of the updated event setup process. While there is a lot of information listed, remember that Louise is always here to answer any remaining questions every step of the way!

But first, are you ready to check out the 2019 Halloween Event Package details?!

Halloween Event Packages

We’ve got a scary good deal running for a limited time! Halloween packages are available for events scheduled from now through October 31. These packages have all you need to set up Halloween Events featuring a number of ghoulish goodies built into the price of the package, including a themed icon and badge that can be customized for your event!

For the price of $100, you’ll get the Halloween Themed Event Package, which includes the following:

  • Basic Event Package, including the new Munzee Event Attendee Badge (read more below!)

Valued at $150, this scary good deal won’t last for long! While there is a new event setup process that must be followed, please start by adding your events on the calendar at https://calendar.munzee.com/submit. Once you create your event, you’ll have to purchase the Halloween Event Package in the Freeze Tag Store.

Munzee’s 8th birthday means 8 weeks of 8zees birthday events as players turn back time to relive the 80s! We told you to show up in your best 80s attire, because the host at each event has the ability to select a winner to be awarded our Best Dressed badge. Get Your Tickets for MedZEEval Times!

A spectacular birthday month has concluded (though birthday events will continue until August 11), which means it’s officially time to look forward to our next major Munzee extravaganza. MHQ Bash 6 is rapidly approaching, as we plan to trade in our #8zees attire for MedZEEval Times fun! Now we’re really going to be turning back time!

Though there are still a number of weeks before MHQ Bash 6, which will take place from September 27-29, the deadline for ordering your packages is rapidly approaching. Players will have until August 23 at 15:00 MHQ time to register online, so be sure to act fast for a weekend you won’t want to miss!

Players will have the opportunity to choose between two package options, as well as an additional add-on. Add “A Night With Knights” option to join the Freeze Tag Team at Medieval Times for a dinner and show with unique icon and badge options for all attendees! There will also be a special WallaBash celebration, with more details coming early next week!

Get ready for some QRazy awesome days (and knights)! Be sure to order your tickets before the deadline!

Munzee’s Official Birthday Bash is Coming Up! (Plus New Tags!)

Will you be joining us in California for Munzee’s Official Birthday Bash on Saturday, July 20? The #8zees will be in full swing as Matt, Dylan, Craig, Mick, Mari, Tamara, and Emma join players in turning back time for Munzee’s 8th birthday celebration in sunny Tustin, CA! You will be able to earn some awesome new badges and icons, including the two pictured below:

You can RSVP to the event now to join members of the Freeze Tag Team on July 20 at 10:00 in Citrus Ranch Park for an unforgettable trip down memory lane. Not sure what to wear? As you recall, each event host has been awarding players with a special badge for best 8zees (80s) attire. And though staff members won’t be vying for this badge, they will be dressing up!

Members of staff will be taking a little “trip to the movies,” as some Freeze Tag teammates will be dressing up as some of their favorite 80s movie characters. Whether you’re more of a Ferris Bueller or an Indiana Jones, we know you want to join in on the 8zees fun! Remember that players in attendance will be able to earn exclusive Traveling Team badges when they meet team members!

New Tags

To get you in the 8zees mood, we will be selling a brand new Personal Tag in the Freeze Tag Online Store starting today at 15:00 MHQ time. Inspired by National Video Game Day this past Monday (and our recent Joystick Munzee artwork!), this retro Personal Tag will get you right in that 8zees spirit. This tag is also available for the sale price of $8.88 in celebration of our 8th birthday!

Join Us in California for Munzee’s Official Birthday Bash!

UPDATE: We’ve added a new Virtual Garden to the CA event area! Read below for more info! 

Munzee is turning 8 this year, and Friday, June 14 will kick off a whole eight weeks of birthday events! As we’ve announced, the Official Birthday Bash will take place in Tustin, CA with the California team this year! You can RSVP now to join Craig, Mick, Mari, and Tamara, as well as Matt, Dylan, and Emma flying in from MHQ, for an unforgettable 8th birthday bash on July 20!

All team members attending Munzee’s Official Birthday Bash on July 20th will be equipped with new badges for your scanning pleasure!

Players in attendance can earn exclusive Traveling Team Badges when they meet FT team members at events! Players at GeoWoodstock earned Texas license plates, but attendees at the CA Birthday Event can earn these retro Cali license plates. That’s the power of love!

We’re also happy to announce some awesome Virtual Gardens that all players can deploy in to get in on the birthday celebration fun even if they can’t make it out to the Golden State! Feel free to deploy in the Keytar and Magic 8 Ball gardens while there are still available spaces! Follow the links to the spreadsheets to help us grow these groovy gardens and if you need some help check out our “How to deploy in a Virtual Garden” help guide article!

UPDATE: With players filling up the Keytar and Magic 8 Ball gardens at a rapid pace, we decided to add a third garden to the area for your deploying pleasure! You can now deploy in the Controller garden, but you better act quick before spots fill up!

There’s nothing like the joy of CapOn points to get you in the birthday spirit! While we have yet to release a pink event pin, these gardens are both deployed near the event location. Stay tuned for the pink pin, which will be deployed sometime in the next week.

We will also be releasing more information about the birthday bash in the near future! For now, you can get started on earning CapOn points or picking out your best 80s attire (maybe dusting off some old boxes) if you plan to attend the event in person!

Munzee Birthday Events Prepare to Commence!

Munzee is turning 8 next month, which means there are 8 weeks of birthday events to be enjoyed starting Friday! The 8zee’s (80’s) themed events will run from June 14 all the way through August 11 in order to offer plenty of opportunity to celebrate Munzee with your best retro attire!

While custom artwork is no longer available for the early birthday events (players booked it up fast!), we have awesome generic artwork packages available! Generic artwork packages cost $50 for an icon and $50 for a badge. Badges can be customized to include the event name, place and date. These retro designs are a great addition for your event attendees to earn! If your event is late July or August custom artwork is still a possibility.

We encourage players to keep adding events to the calendar, as there are plenty more chances to host over the next 8 weeks! There are 4 available packages for hosts to choose from, along with a unique host badge for each package!

There will also be an Attendee Badge to earn, as well as plenty of extras to scoop up during the celebrations!

Magic 8 Attendee – attend one of the 8zees birthday bash celebrations to earn this badge!

With birthday events kicking off this weekend, we can’t wait to see how players celebrate the 8zee’s! Remember the event host will choose a winner at each event based on best 80s attire. In order to earn the special badge for winning this costume contest, the event host must send the player name and photo taken at the event of the winning look to Louise. Unfortunately we will not be able to award any Best Dressed badges without those two pieces of information, so be sure to get them in!

Although Best Dressed winners will be chosen by event hosts, we want to see ALL OF YOU in your retro 80s attire! So share images to social media of your coolest throwback threads and be sure to use #8zees and tag us on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter!

Two more great bits of news for event hosts! In the next few days you will notice new tools available for you to control your events more through the calendar admin section. You will be able to slightly tweak the coordinates for your pink pin, set cohosts, AND control your go live time. All of this is to allow event hosts the ability to adjust final details as needed. You will also be able to archive your event when it is over.

Also we are preparing to move your event communications to a new email address. Louise will be moving over the next few days to work from events@munzee.com — Current hosts will hear from her with details on events and future hosts will begin their communications at the new address. Thanks for your patience while we move her systems!

MedZEEval Times MHQ Bash 6 Packages Revealed!

Get ready to sharpen your swords, dust off your jousting lance, and summon your squire, because the theme for MHQ Bash 6 will be MedZEEval Times! The 6th Annual MHQ Bash will be held from Friday, September 27 through Sunday, September 29.

What exactly will MedZEEval Times entail? We promise, this will be a weekend of victory that you won’t soon forget! Today we are excited to reveal the package dates and options. This year we will be offering two package choices, as well as the opportunity for two additional add-ons. The package options are as follows:

Court Jester- FREE

Event Details

While we’re not ready to reveal all of the weekend details just yet, we would like to share what the Medieval Times dinner and show add-on will entail if you purchase A Night With Knights. Medieval Times provides the ultimate medieval immersion experience. This family-friendly dinner attraction draws inspiration from medieval tournaments and feasts. Guests enjoy a four-course meal (vegetarian options available) and are able to cheer for one of six competing knights as they engage in a tournament of jousting and fun.

The four-course meal will be included in the package, and it will consist of garlic bread, tomato bisque soup, roast chicken, buttered sweet corn, seasoned potatoes, dessert, coffee, and two non-alcoholic beverages. There will also be a full-service bar, gift shop, and Hall of Arts. And of course, in custom with medieval traditions, you will have to eat with your hands!

Families, please keep in mind that every person joining us this night will need to purchase the A Night With Knights add-on for each person who wishes to attend regardless of whether or not Munzee accounts are joined. Though Medieval Times tickets are more affordable for children if purchased directly from the website, we will not be able to guarantee that anyone will be able to sit with the group unless they order through our packages.

More information regarding complete event schedules will be released soon, but the format will be similar to previous years. There will be activities during registration Friday evening, Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon (WallaBash), Saturday evening (public event separate from ANWK), and Sunday morning. There will also be a wide variety of specials and badges to earn at each event, not to mention all of the munzees to capture in the McKinney area! We can’t wait to ride gallantly into the night atop a golden unicorn with you this fall! Okay, it might not be THAT awesome, but MedZEEval Times will still be pretty great!  Stay tuned for more information!
