Dig In With Sand Sculpture Specials!

Depending on which hemisphere you call home, you might be trodding through snow 4 feet (or a couple meters!) deep trying to cap munzees! Well some of our more experienced players have learned over the years to migrate to warmer locales during these colder times, and we’ve taken a page from the Snowbirds’ book! From NOW until Sunday, March 10th at 23:59 MHQ Turtle and Crab Sandboxes will be bouncing around the map, and you’ll have the chance to build Sand Sculptures sure to amaze!

Sand Sculpture Specials

Sandboxes will be released in waves, but will end at a total of 1,500 Turtle Sandboxes and 1,500 Crab Sandboxes. They will bounce around every 4 hours or when capped. Building sand sculptures is no easy feat though, and as you know practice makes perfect! So get ready to rinse and repeat in the ocean water before the tide rolls in and you have to start your sandcastles all over again!

When a Sandbox is captured, sand tools of the same color will scatter nearby! The more Sandboxes you capture, the more you will level up your Sand Sculpting skills to reveal different levels of tools that scatter. The higher level tools captured will allow you to find and create more advanced Sand Sculpture designs! If you don’t see any higher level scatters yet, be sure to keep capturing Sandboxes to level up!

While we want to keep most of them a surprise right now, here’s a sneak peek at one of the Level 1 Sand Sculptures:

These specials will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture a Sandbox on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same Sandbox visits you. These munzees will not be blastable. They will be attracted to magnets, available from the Freeze Tag Online Store. You can access these specials under the “All Expiring Specials” and “All Limited Specials” filters.

Badges

There will be a total of 6 new badges to earn from capping Sand Sculpture specials:

The 1st line has 3 badges which are based on the total number of Sandbox captures.
The 2nd line has 3 badges, and they are based on finding and creating all the different Sand Sculptures in the set. Here’s a sneak peak of one badge below!

: Beachside Beginner- Capture at least one of each Level One Sand Sculpture.
