October 2023 Skin: Hedgehog Hedge

As the month comes to a close, we wanted to make sure you were heading into September with your desired Hedges! The skin for completing your September capture streak (and the corresponding badge), which is the Sloth Garden Hedge shown below, will be awarded in early October. But, we couldn’t wait to share what’s in store for next month!

September Hedge Reminders

If you haven’t picked up a Hedge yet, they are available in the Freeze Tag Store for $4.

How to have a permanent Hedge on your account next year:

  • Own at least 8 Hedges by the end of the year
    • Each month, the price of a Hedge will decrease by $1.
    • However, players can only purchase 1 Hedge every 28 days.

Also, don’t forget that Reseller Garden Hedges have arrived!  These unique munzee types are only available for purchase from participating Munzee Resellers, so shop now!

October Hedge Details

What Hedge Skin can you look forward to earning in October? The Hedgehog Garden Hedge! Like the other hedges, the Hedgehog Garden Hedge is a temporary POB that will remain on the map as long as players with permanent Garden Hedges continue to use it.

Get Spooky with our NEW Witch’s Potions Specials!

Do you hear that? That’s the sound of Spooky Season approaching! It’s that time of year when the leaves turn golden, and the air becomes crisp with the scent of adventure. To celebrate the spooktacular season, we’re delighted to introduce the enchanting Witch’s Potions Specials! Get ready to embark on a bewitching journey filled with 25 different Ingredient MOBs. Let’s dive into the cauldron of excitement and see what’s brewing!

Witch’s Potion Specials

Witch’s Potions specials are now live on the map for everyone and will remain available until Sunday, November 5, 2023 at 23:59 MHQ.

Similar to Hot Dogz specials, there will be 12 physical Ingredients and the 13 virtual Ingredients released throughout the month, including 4 extra limited-time Ingredients for Friday the 13th– so get ready! You will be building “Potions” which equate to badges with these ingredients, so the more you cap the more potions you’ll create! 

At launch you can expect to see the ingredients shown below, but more ingredients will appear as the month goes on, so make sure to keep an eye out! We’ll be releasing 150 of each Ingredient, except for the Friday the 13th specials which will get 300 of each, so make sure you get out there and grab some icky Ingredients FAST!

Some of the potion badges have magical effects and will award a booster to the owner!

All Ingredients will bounce around every 4 hours or when capped.

These specials will be available for multi-capture. These munzees will not be blastable. They will be attracted to Magnets, available from the Freeze Tag Online Store. You can access the Witch’s Potion ingredients under the “All Expiring Specials” and “All Limited Specials” filters.

We’ve created 9 NEW Badges for you to earn via specific gameplay actions! There’s two badge lines, Potions for capping specific ingredients and Witch’s Tools for overall caps!

We’ll show you the first of each badge and their requirements! It’s up to you to figure out the rest!

Meet…PR1NC3SS Lou-a!

By this point, we’ve all become very acquainted with the metallic Mech himself, D4RTH Vardeman. But, every dark lord needs a light lady – and that’s where PR1NC3SS Lou-a comes in! This pink princess keeps D4RTH Vardeman in line, and looks FABULOUS while doing it! She is currently $7.50 and she’s available NOW! PR1NC3SS Lou-a will be leaving the store on Thursday, June 1st, 2023 at 12:00 MHQ, so don’t wait! Purchasing will auto-deploy this mech and give you the blueprint for you to craft next time! The Dark Side Mailbox is available for $25 and includes the following:

  • 1 Dark Side Mailbox Munzee to deploy and move around anywhere at anytime!

  • 28 Mailbox Prize Days starting on May 4th and ending on May 31st, which will deliver the goodies below when captured, including Cards, Zeds, Munzees to deploy and more!

Like the other Munzee Mechz, the D4RTH Vardeman is a temporary POB. The D4RTH Vardeman will remain on the map until it has been captured 10 times, as you can see below. You will receive a fully-built D4RTH Vardeman that will auto-deploy on your account when the mailbox is captured on May 4th. You will also receive the Blueprint to rebuild it when you have earned enough Cogs in the future. It will cost 18 Cogs to rebuild this mech.

  • Dark Side Mailbox Card capture badges — capture at least 1 of each unique Dark Side Mailbox card! We’ll keep what these look like a secret for now.

April 2023 Skin: Swan Hedge

As the month comes to a close, we wanted to make sure you were heading into April with your desired Hedges! The skin for completing your March capture streak (and the corresponding badge), which is the Frog Garden Hedge shown below, will be awarded in early April. But, we couldn’t wait to share what’s in store for next month!

March Hedge Reminders

If you haven’t picked up a Hedge yet, they are available in the Freeze Tag Store for $10.

How to have a permanent Hedge on your account next year:

  • Own at least 8 Hedges by the end of the year
    • Each month, the price of a Hedge will decrease by $1.
    • However, players can only purchase 1 Hedge every 28 days.

Also, don’t forget that Reseller Garden Hedges have arrived!  These unique munzee types are only available for purchase from participating Munzee Resellers, so shop now!

April Hedge Details

What Hedge Skin can you look forward to earning in April? The Swan Garden Hedge! Like the other hedges, the Swan Garden Hedge is a temporary POB that will remain on the map as long as players with permanent Garden Hedges continue to use it.

As stated earlier, to earn this skin, you’ll need to complete next month’s (April’s) capture streak. Once the skin is awarded in May, you can change the skin on the hedge to this one at any point — refer to our Help Guide article for the instructions!

You can find this swimming shrub at the following landing pads every 6 hours or when captured:

Additionally, the Swan Garden Hedge will scatter up to 3 NEW Swan Flowers nearby when it is captured!

Like the other Hedge Flowers, these scatters will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the Hedge owner’s account. This means that unlike Air Mystery Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn points for the owner! They expire after 120 minutes and have a capture radius of 300 feet. These hedge scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

Badges

As a reminder, Garden Hedges have 4 associated badge lines:

  • Unique type deploy badges — you’ll need to earn each month’s skin by keeping your streak up!
  • Overall deploy badges — the more hedges you deploy, the merrier!
  • Unique type capture badges — capture at least 1 of each skinned hedge!
  • Overall capture badges — capture as many hedges as you can find!
